Made a reservation for this very quaint, adorable brunch restaurant.they have seating indoor and heated outdoor tent areas, also dog friendly which is a big plus. Started out with pork belly sliders and soup of the day which was lobster bisque. I have to say the soup could have been warmer when served, a bit too salty for my liking. The pork belly sliders had a great flavor, some kimchi and ginger to give it a bit tangy bite. They give you three. For the entree, I got the Cajun shrimp chorizo cheesy grits which hit the spot! Not too salty, had potatoes on the side and was really good. Had to get a box. We also got the open face chicken sandwich which was really nice too!! Both entrees had different taste and was super enjoyable. The restaurant has a lot of culture/taste throughout the menu, Argentinian, Korean, Moroccan, guatamalan it was very unique and eclectic! read more

The tapas here are fantastic. My daughter had been here previously with her boyfriend and raved about it so we decided to give it a shot. We had tapas flight #2 with short ribs, skirt steak, pork belly and the seafood mix with shrimp & octopus, plus a side asparagus. All were unbelievable. The portions are a good size as well. We walked away full but not over stuffed. The deserts and gelato look amazing but we didn't partake this time around. We'll definitely be back and look forward to bringing the whole fam. read more

We went on a Tuesday night the week before the Memorial Day weekend. Parking in Lambertville was relatively easy. We were walk-ins but were seated immediately. We sat inside. The decor and tableware were an eclectic mix of old and new. We had the Tapas tower and a Tinto wine which was recommended. The standout of the tapas was the Ropa Vieja. Literally, my eyes teared up as the waiter was telling us the specials, because I got overwhelmed with joy, and he was so kind and understanding about it. Came for dinner with my wife on a rainy Friday evening in the Spring to watch our friend play music. Parking is all on street and metered so I would suggest arriving early to find a spot and walk to the restaurant. The staff was courteous and prompt. We got the gnocchi for app, braised short rib and salmon filet for our mains, and a slice of chocolate crepe cake for dessert. The gnocchi is made in-house and you could taste the freshness. It was basted with a sweet tasting sauce and seasoned with Rosemary. It was a really interesting flavor combination. I wouldn't say it was amazing, but it was fresh, nicely made, and a change of pace. Wife really enjoyed the braised short rib. It was served with mash and roasted leek. Don't know if the leek was supposed to be eaten or just a garnish. The salmon was good. Served on a bed of couscous and chickpeas. All the food was very eclectic and well cooked. Fresh ingredients. The flavor combos were not mind blowing but all the fundamentals of good cooking were there. Taking a star off because the seat I was seated in was wicker and wet. An incredible all-around experience. Everyone greeted us with so much attention. Our server Emma explained she had worked there for several years and offered suggestions off the anniversary menu. My wife selected one of the recommendations and I chose some tapas. Our meals came out quick - perhaps a little too quick. I can't give this place enough stars! I'm a Lambertville regular, and somehow I'd never ventured here before, though I've passed by it countless times. On a recent summer weekend after biking the D&R canal trail we decided to pop in, mainly because it was the only place that could take us with no reservation (after a short wait). Well what a happy accident! I've been to Spain, as well as some of the fabulous Spanish restaurants in Newark's Ironbound district, and this place ranks right up there! The tapas is phenomenal, and larger portions than your typical tapas fare. I added salmon to the strawberry and spinach salad, and it was some of the best salmon I've ever had. And their homemade gelato...words can't do it justice. BYOB, cute place, awesome staff, we met one of the owners and he's a gem - this place is now one of my favorites in the area! In warm weather the outdoor seating in the courtyard or on the porch is lovely, and there is often great live music to add to the atmosphere. Oh, and if you bring wine, they'll make sangria for you. We're talking real-deal sangria, not just chilled wine with fruit...some of the best sangria I've had outside of Spain. We liked it so much that we planned another bike ride for the following weekend mainly so we could end up at Under the Moon again. I'd bike 15 miles for a meal here! We had a wonderful experience for brunch for my mother's birthday at Under The Moon Lambertville. We sat out back in the garden which was just so pleasant. The drinks were so on point. The refresher was delicious. And all of our food came out on time, correctly, and definitely some things that we would get again. We had the some empanadas to start along with the arugula and brussels sprouts salad. The dressing on the brussels sprouts salad was just perfect. We also had a tuna poke bowl, the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and the burger. Our server was friendly and was constantly checking on us. The octopus were premie size) soaked in some vinaigrette, pork belly was okay but not good quality. We ordered the special entree of fish and chips. The batter was just salty and bland. We sat outside and there were so many flies all around (Hint: garbage nearby). Not to mention our utensils were dirty. The menu is a hot mess; went from cuban to asian. We enjoyed our brunch here on a Saturday in December (I know, I procrastinated!). Made a reservation for 6 and they were able to accomodate easily. The first thing you notice is the quirky and homey decor. It feels festive and romantic but doesn't lose the coziness of a local restaurant. OMG, so we came here to have a wonderful meal with outdoor seating and this place completely blew our minds. The service was phenomenal and our waitress was amazing! We even all shared cat photos! We had a flight of different tapas and I'm just going to share the highlights. Perfectly cooked short ribs- so delicious!!! Polenta fries with a delicious rosemary finish and Bacon Wrapped Dates with a Cream Sauce and OMG the dates, I have no words. Soooooo delicious. My wife and I found Under the Moon when we were looking for places for our rehearsal brunch the day before our wedding and were not disappointed. We went there a few months before to taste before the food before booking them and had a great experience as well then. However, our rehearsal brunch was fantastic! Luz was great with us coordinating the entire event, the food, the ambiance and the staff were amazing. The event was a family style brunch and everything we ate was great. I just don't get it. I've been here several times (I'm local) and I just don't like it. I can never find anything I want to eat on the menu. Tonight we went for the locals menu which is a great idea. Sat on the porch which is lovely. Our server was professional if a bit harried--but it's Covid and they may be short handed. No worries. But the food. The seafood starter was really salty with rubbery fish and a weird salsa-like vibe. Nothing delicate about it. My garden salad was good. The blackened salmon was overdone and served with corn (on the cob but so that you needed to cut it--a lot of work with little payoff) AND mashed potatoes. Just meh. It feels as though the chef just tries too hard here and misses. Every time. I just don't get the rave reviews. read more

The food was solid. We got the tapas flight with the octopus, shrimp, braised short ribs, and mushrooms. The octopus and shrimp were plump and tender, the short ribs were savory and perfectly flaky. The mushrooms were good too, but definitely played a supporting role. Prices were fair, but the flight by itself might not be enough food for two people if you go in hungry. And don't skip dessert; their crepe cakes are huge and widely regarded. My only gripe is with safety regarding check in. There was no limiting of people inside the restaurant for check in so people crowded both inside right by the host and right outside the door on the porch. I was very uncomfortable waiting for my table to be cleaned, but there was no where else to stand. However, once we sat down at our table outside, it was fine. Overall, it's a nice romantic spot for dinner. BYOB is a plus. Live ambience music was also a nice surprise. read more

The location in Lambertville was a major disappointment. From par boiling potatoes and calling them home fries and saying you can do eggs any style, but you cannot do egg whites. What chef cannot remove the yolk from two eggs and fry them, blows my mind, because you can make hollandaise sauce ( which is just the yolk) hmmm. The waitress was absolutely terrible and rude. Not only could they not do it, they served me a fried egg with a runny yolk. This location should be closed and it is sad because the Bordentown location is absolutely amazing with great staff. They also catered our wedding, that was amazing, but it is sad to say I would never recommend the Lambertville location to anybody! read more

We've been super loyal customers going to Under the Moon Cafe at Lamberville very often, celebrating our birthdays there, bringing in all our friends. I have to say I brought a lot of new customers there. This Saturday my husband and I had a reservation there. We showed up on time, the hostess offered us a table next to the cemetery. This table wasn't protected from sun very well. On top of that I just can't eat next to someone's grave, sorry. We obviously said that this table wouldn't work for us and we'd like to have a table on the porch. There were 2 tables on the porch available at that time. Hostess called a manager whose explanation was that these tables are for customers with reservations. We said that we had a reservation. The tone of the conversation went up, if not to say the manager was super rude to us, somehow our reservation wasn't good enough to give us another table option. We ended up leaving this place. Luckily the Italian place across the street gave us an amazing table with beautiful food experience. Under The Moon is on NEVER AGAIN list. read more
