It took over a half hour for the bread and appetizer to be served and another half hour for our salads to arrive. When we received the bill, the server overcharged us for two of our dinners. My mom decided very last minute that she wanted to go to brunch for Mother's Day. I scrambled around to find a place and Under The Moon had one table left! I had never heard of the restaurant before, and their website/menu wasn't loading well on my phone but I took the chance and booked it. I was a little nervous about it, as I couldn't look at the menu ahead of time but it was so amazing. Everyone at the table struggled to pick their food, but only because we wanted to try everything on the menu! Delicious food, cute atmosphere. The quiche is thicc. Can't wait to come back and try something else for lunch or dinner! For those with nut allergies: the bread they have for brunch has walnuts in it. Beautiful building right in the heart of Lambertville with great service, even in spite of Hurricane Ida damage (most of the town was without power this week, but they have a generator) and service industry shortages throughout the area (resulting in short staffing in many locations in New Hope and Lambertville). This does not stop Under the Moon from delivering great meals. Delicious tapas and mains, as well as coffee and gelato available. This is a BYOB if you'd like alcohol. The 3 stars is because they charged me for the sparkling water... first of all, when you are asked which kind of water do you want, they should say that they will charge you the whole bottle... Visited here last weekend on Saturday night after reading prior reviews. This place is awesome. Everyone is pleasant and outgoing and we never felt rushed. My wife had the halibut special and I had the Argentinian Lasagna that was very ample in size and delicious. I finished the next day for lunch. We topped off dinner with a shared Peanut Butter cheesecake dessert. Wow is how my wife described it. One of the best desserts ever! The halibut special was pricey but the menu offered excellent choices and we will absolutely be returning. Wife and I both had salmon which may seem boring but offered with Ginger Teriyaki Marinade and kimchi fried rice. Having worked for a Korean food company with visits to Seoul interested in the K twist. Excellent result. Coupled with nice gazpacho and nicely balanced red Sangria .... a true joy. Location is an old house with spacious outdoor dining area. Comfortable outdoor dining with live music. Interesting twist as located next to a church and small cemetery. Lovely venue and friendly service but a pity the food is inconsistent. I had the worst Reuben ever off the locals night menu. One slice of dry non-tender corned beef, some Swiss cheese barely melted, a little sauerkraut on dry rye with no sauce. The driest most tasteless Reuben I've ever tasted. read more

My coworker and I were served our meal on a 3-tiered cupcake tray, so we could not even see each other. I can't even remember the food. All I remember is feeling antsy. Wow, what a cute place! I was hoping to sit outside but the weather wasn't great, but the inside had a wonderful atmosphere! The vegetable empanadas were really tasty - great fry that wasn't overly greasy and the red pepper dipping sauce was to die for. We had the veggie burger and the tuna burger, both fantastic and the fries had just enough of the truffle flavor without being overpowering. We tried 8 different tapas plates amongst us and each was better than the next. The octopus was the softest, most flavorful I've ever had. Ever. Six of us went to this restaurant a second time because we couldn't get a reservation a the Blue Moose in New Hope. And we also felt it deserved a second chance, being a new place with kinks to iron out. The second experience was less than underwhelming. The already confusing tapas ordering system was further "enhanced" by the rule that was explained by our server as we sat down - You are NOT allowed to share the tapas as your main meal. It's okay to share them as a starter but not as an entree. So, we joked about that for a while and then ordered. I tried a bit of light hearted kidding with the server when she described the appetizer special.... "can we share that?" I asked. She replied in a snotty way... "Yes, ma'am. That's just for the tapas." Six jaws dropped, I'd been ma'amed. The food was again unappealing - over cooked chicken, stodgy risotto, and way too much salt on everything. Now my second time in tonight I had the pre Fix menu and everything was good but the corn beef was like eating spam with cheese on white bread - which may seem ok to some, but was completely unappetizing and quite backwards from everything I have tried thus far. Stopped in for an early dinner on a Tuesday night, celebrating my wife's birthday. We were in town and wanted to try something new. Food: We ordered a few apps to start. The rice balls, short rib taco, and chorizo sliders. Taco was excellent, and rice balls good, but the chorizo was quite dry. Then we moved on to the tapas menu. These were also hit and miss. Tostones and patatas bravas we're quite tasty. But the mushrooms were overly vinegary, and the octopus with potatoes had an off putting flavor and texture that I couldn't put my finger on, but we left most of it behind. Skirt steak was small but well cooked, though the char was bitter and my daughter refused to eat it. Overall, interesting choices, but I wonder if some of this food, especially on the tapas menu, is sitting around. Service: our server seemed really new so we adjusted our expectations accordingly. He seemed very nice. He sent someone out to get milk for our daughter which was nice too. However, he also let our bottle of wine sit on the table and never offered to open it. And never refilled our water glasses. Empty dishes were also not cleared in a timely manner. Not major problems in a busy restaurant, but we were the only table there! There's potential here with interesting decor and some interesting menu items. But service needs some refining, and the food could be more consistent. read more

We had an amazing belated Valentine's dinner here. We started with a tapas flight...shrimp, goat cheese, bacon wrapped date, and chorizo with brandy. All we delicious...my husband wasn't a huge fan of the dates, but I loved them. The sauces on all dishes were incredible. For entrees, I had the Arctic char, which came with Brussels sprouts and and an onion purée that really completes the dish. My husband had the meat and cheese board and a corn brûlée from the appetizer menu. The meats and cheeses were imported from Spain...there was a blue cheese that was the best I have ever tasted. The corn brûlée was a bit sweet and he didn't eat much of it, but the flavor was good...just not for a meal. For dessert I had the best chocolate mousse I have ever had. My husband had a lemon blueberry crepe cake. It was ok. Not much lemon flavor, and a bit heavy. But the chocolate mouse made up for it. The decor is also lovely...the ceiling...omg!!!! I want the ceiling in my house!!!! We will definitely be back!!!! read more
