The pickle bacon ranch pizza was so freaking good. Service wasnt bad but I was not there for the vibes I wanted that pizza

We went for happy hour, and we really enjoyed their drinks and wings. Happy hour is only during the week, and the pizza was a good size. We also got the crab dip pull apart bread. It was good

So I am usually a thin crust girl but this pizza changed my opinion! The Bianca is a MUST HAVE - all the flavors come together perfectly and I get it every time (I've been twice). The UPC sampler was good - unfortunately some items were cold but it was a pretty busy day and my friends loved the arancini. Even though it was cold the flavors worked well together! I can't wait to try more but def will get the Bianca with no regrets.

This place is always so good. Came for happy hour for a friend's birthday. We have been dying to try the crab Rangoon pie and we finally did. And it definitely did not disappoint! It tastes exactly how you think it would. The pie was so delicious and flavorful. It's cheesy and fluffy.. and then you get to the crab part and it's a combination of flavors. I recommend! The only downside to this place is how they charge $2.50 for a side of ranch and it's not even a lot of ranch at all. Other than that, love this place

What a great spin on Detroit style pizza! Bold flavors, creative menu, fair pricing and good vibes. Now I will say the pizza is great but it's very expensive. For $24 you only get 4 slices of pizza. Not family budget friendly but definitely good pizza.

Underground pizza co...YOU'VE OUTDONE YOURSELVES! Everything and I mean everything was delicious! Drinks 10/10...we both tried the black widow and my beau tried a a second drink (apple ginger energizer) For our entrees, we had the honey old bay wings with both blue cheese and ranch ( both house made) and they came with carrot sticks along with the Tiger King full pie and a kale Caesar salad! Unfortunately they were out of kale (at least I assume) but I don't count it against them. Omg it was soooooooo good! Vibes were good! If I have any constructive feedback it is regarding the play list. While didn't mind it, I'd just say be mindful of your entire audience. Other than that, TAKE A MFN BOW UPC!

The Jersey Turnpike (Tomato Pie) w/ Pepperoni!...Delicious!!

10 out of 10! And, the hype is real!! What a great spot! The service was great and the Pizza....freaking delicious!! We came here after a night of hanging out next door at the Power Plant Live venue. The vibe here is really cool. We ordered the CBR, Tiger King, some orange crushes, mozzarella sticks and arancini balls. The pizzas were thick and we were so glad we went with our choices. Hands down!....The Tiger King!! RUN...& DON'T WALK TO ORDER THIS THING! This pizza is loaded with the meats....spicy sausage, bacon, cup pepperoni, mozzarella cheese.... and a honey glaze drizzle that heighten the pizza. We also added green peppers and onions which took it to the next level! The CBR stands for chicken bacon ranch. Just imagine a buffalo chicken pizza this is what you get. We ordered two full size pizzas and it was more than enough to eat there and we had plenty to take home. . The mozzarella sticks and arancini balls are a must order as well...if you are a cheese lover! On to the drinks....the bar menu and drinks are extensive. They feature a wide selection of drinks at their bar. The popular drinks in the house were the "Crushes!" They are very popular.and plenty flavors.... Orange, Peach, Strawberry, Lime...to name a few. Covid wise Underground does not play. The Staff here is really friendly and they can break down the popular pizzas based on your preference. Totally worth the drive from DC or a must stop when visiting the Baltimore Harbor area. I'll definitely be back to try their other pizzas. Just wished there was a sampler type menu where you can try +4 different pizza! Because, all the pizzas on the menu were calling me. LOL!! *ELITE TIP: The menu changes and updates with featured pizzas.....subscribe to their IG for discount deals and to stay in them know of new pizzas soon to be offered.

The honey old bay wings were good however I don't really like my wings fried hard like that . The elote fries were okay. I feel like it needed more flavor to it and more sauce etc and also the fries were way too crispy . I tried the crab Rangoon pizza but it was not my favorite . However , it was busy . People kept coming in and out non stop . Looks like a very popular spot downtown .They do have a good happy hour menu

This is the best and most Maryland pizza I've ever had! It is so decadent and filling. I really love this cozy little spot. I feel like they get most of their business with the nightlife in the power plant area but we went for lunch in a weekday and it was a lovely choice. Everyone was so nice! We walked here from the aquarium so not too sure about parking but would love to go here again.

Underground Pizza never disappoints. It was my mom's first time and she loved it. We initially sat at the bar and ordered our food and drinks. The servers checked in with us often. I ended up switching out my drink order from the Dirty Shirley (too sweet) to the Cosmo and Wanda. We moved to a table as the temperatures dropped and it got chilly by the bar since the door was open. We ordered 3 half pizzas so we could try different ones. The Bianca pizza was soo good and definitely my favorite one of the three we ordered. The fries were good and seasoned well with old bay and garlic Parmesan. We will definitely be back especially since they have some good happy hour options.

The buffalo wings and Old Bay and parmesan fries are delicious and the Roni pizza as close to Chicago style pizza as you are gonna get on the east coast!!!! Our servers were amazing and friendly! Oh yes you can't forget the Maryland state drink of Orange Crush!!!

First time trying Detroit style pizza. I like sweeter tomato sauce and tender foccacia dough like. Catch their pop up at 7locks brewery in rockville just now, right at the parking lot. Come try and support their pizzas.

I am a (new) massive Underground Pizza fan. Their Detroit style pizza is so good! Usually I am not a huge dough fan, but their crust is light and crunchy and I enjoy it just as much as I like their sauce and cheese. The crab dip pull apart bread was also much larger than we thought it would be, and so delicious! Everything we ordered was great and more than enough for three people. We sat outside and it was such a nice experience. The tables had a good amount of shade which allowed us to enjoy the great weather while it lasts. Excited to come back soon and try their specialty pizzas!

Ask the Community - Underground Pizza

When are you going to open some locations in Virginia, like Merrifield and Springfield, around the beltway?

We had a project we were working on in Alexandria that fell through. We will look for other opportunities in the future but nothing planned at the moment

Is this place open to walk-in? We tried walking down to this place from Inner Harbor with kids and could not figure out how to even access the place! It was a Friday night (Power Plant Live! place was crowded) - we just couldn't get to you...

The district becomes 21+ at 9pm on fridays and Saturdays but if you talk to the front door people, they allow families to access. You can always text us at 443-347-6190 in the future

    Do you deliver?

    Yes

    Is parking free?

We validate parking, it’s $5-10 depending on the garage

Hi! How many people does a half pie usually feed?

We did 2 full pies for 4 people and had leftovers the next day. With the thicker dough, I'd say 1-2 slices per person pending appetite is a good measure. You won't be disappointed if you order too much! You'll be pissed if you don't order enough!

I read great reviews so, 1) I called. The number given on Yelp AND on their site is a non-working number. 2) I drive to this location and there is ZERO parking. What's the deal? Are they open for business or... ? Big time disappointed right now.

True, the entire operation is a shit-show. You're not imagining it-- there is NO parking and NO phone to call. The prices are extreme as well. Why would you go through all of this for an expensive, average pizza when there are LITERALLY HUNDREDS of… Read more

I am very curious about trying this pizza but I keep hitting roadblocks. 1) the number listed here and on their site is inactive…

The number states to text it, whenever I have no problems. You will get an order confirmation and email. It's worth it!

I had the pleasure of speaking to Tony who not only checked himself but spoke with the chef to confirm the menu was peanut free. * Note there are peanuts used in the cocktails * it was a true pleasure to have an allergy taken seriously and made us more confident to take our daughter there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very personal and quaint, there was a high chair available for our daughter to use. All the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the food we tried the stuffed dates, miso mushroom bucatini and the toum raider pizza. The stuffed dates were recommended by our waitress and they were delicious. They were both sweet, savory and a little spicy. The walnuts that topped it were a nice touch to add texture to the already soft dates, I enjoyed it a lot. The miso mushroom bucatini was also a favorite of ours as it didn't taste vegan at all to us. It was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. My daughter enjoyed this a lot. The pizza wasn't my favorite but I'm also not a huge fan of vegan cheese so that is my fault but the miso mushroom bucatini was truly so delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the service was impeccable and I would definitely visit here again!

Non-vegan here! I feel like my expectations for the food were set by only vegans, which gave me a…read moreskewed perspective going in, so to my non-vegans out there, here's how I'd approach Oleum: It's incredibly impressive what they come up with in terms of recreating non-vegan dishes using plant-based-only ingredients. Creative, complex, and unexpected--and incredibly thoughtful. I definitely see why this is considered vegan fine dining: I'd think you'd have to be nothing short of a master chef to craft some of these dishes using only plant-based ingredients. It was fun to try a few of their 'how on earth did they make this vegan' menu items, but I also wish we'd ordered some dishes that are naturally closer to vegan, as I think that's where I'd be really blown away (beyond the novelty value, as a non-vegan diner). Highly recommend ordering a bunch of dishes and sharing them across the table so you get to sample lots of different foods and preparations. We ordered: SMALL PLATES Ravioli bravas Maryland style crab cakes Shrimp scampi ENTREES Blackened alfredo Mushroom miso bucatini Meat lovers pizza I went in with unrealistic expectations because I'd been told 'it tastes just as good as the non-vegan version--SERIOUSLY!' and because of the caliber of the restaurant, I didn't think to manage those expectations. So I hit a bit of an uncanny valley with pretty much all of the dishes: it tastes a lot LIKE a crab cake, but something's off about it...this is the FLAVOR profile of shrimp scampi, but the texture isn't right...etc. (except for the pastas, which I'll say none of us were very impressed by). I think that's a lot of their branding, though, because even their menu design is setting you up with that (wrong, imo) expectation: I actually had to confirm with the bartender that this was a vegan restaurant, because they list bacon, sausage, parmesan, provolone, and beef in their dishes! It's very confusing, haha. I think if I didn't have those expectations going in, and went in more with the curiosity of 'wow, how do they make a mushroom-based crab cake? or tofu that tastes like shrimp?!' that would have been a much better dining experience for me. After coming to the above realizations, I'm looking forward to returning and trying the dishes with a different lens. And I want to order some that are naturally plant-based, as I imagine those are really going to shine--no uncanny valley to be seen!

I loved the mix of Orioles gear, Ravens memorabilia, and traditional Chinese decor. Service was very quick, server was knowledgeable and had great recommendations, and the food was outrageously good. I ordered the pork egg rolls (which I was told they roll in-house), the zha jiang mian, the stir fry green beans, and a chili oil margarita. The green beans were outstanding, which I was not expecting to be my favorite dish! The seasoning was like a soy garlic and they were cooked perfectly. The chili oil margarita was spicy, boozy, and something unusual that I had never tried before. The chili oil gives it a unique flavor and lots of spice. Although the food was a bit on the expensive side, the portions they give you lasted me 2-3 meals, which is definitely worth it. In the past, two sauces used to come with the chicken but now they charge 75 cents for each and instead, you get a side of fries or potatoes with the chicken.
