We got my concerns taken care of ( due to the size and value of the item) and he assured me that his team would take care of it. Then Kimberly called for confirmation the day before and shared the names of my team members assisting me with the move... and on the morning of the move within the window of the time provided - Sean and Artie reached out to share they were on the way! We had multiple moves after selling a house. One move was heavy/bulky furniture to an apartment about 20 miles away. Another was again heavy/bulky furniture plus miscellaneous items moved 1,000 miles away then a few items moved back to Austin to the apartment. First, Unicorn was easy to work with in getting these moves set up and quoted. Second, they were on time, worked quickly, and took excellent care of the items being moved. Lloyd, Shawn and Damion arrived on time. We took a walk through of the house and I showed them what I needed them to take to your new house. They started loading and disassembled the beds, dining table, 3 cabinets. They had to take the front door off to get the 2 refrigerators and the washer and dryer out to the truck. They loaded up my big BBQ grill and a ten foot metal wind mill. Plus a bunch of heavy boxes. A lot of chairs and tables. They were always asking if there was anything else they could take for us. The new location was 12 miles away and the unloaded and set everything up and were done at 5pm A very professional company and a very knowledgeable crew. The movers themselves (Jeffery and Mark) did great but they weren't prepared properly based on the sales estimate. I honestly feel like it was a bait and switch - I explained my needs and items to be moved several times to the sales rep. He completely messed up the initial estimate and called me the afternoon before the move to raise the hourly rate by over 50%. I was willing to pay the additional amount given that I had no other real option. I went back through the items I needed moved from two different houses and again asked if we were estimating enough time etc. He assured me we were. I knew that was wrong when the crew walked in the door and looked around. Plus they didn't even know about the second house we were moving items from too. They didn't have a big enough truck or supplies (moving blankets etc). We had to make two different trips and they even forgot to move the king size mattress and box springs. They offered to go back a third time to get it but the clock was still ticking so we ended up moving it ourselves. We went from a 3.5 hour estimated move to an 8 hour move at twice the rate I was originally quoted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My roommate tried calling to discuss the situation and couldn't get anyone on the phone. We were promised a callback that never happened.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love supporting local and veteran owned businesses but this was handled so poorly. Major disappointment. read more

I would not recommend Unicorn Moving for your moving needs. We were very disappointed in our decision to use Unicorn Moving. Back in April 2022, I hired Unicorn Moving to move my family. The move went well at the home we were moving out of, but then the movers damaged a few of our things when moving into the new home. They damaged the floors/scratched the front doors of our refrigerator and broke our treadmill. Before the movers left, they took accountability for the damage and provided us with written documentation of the damage. Since the move they have fixed the floors but have failed to repair the refrigerator and treadmill. I have reached out to Sal Yanez, Chili Madrid and Robert Dicks (owner) several time by phone and email and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I am still hopefully that Unicorn Moving will contact me to make things right. Update as of Wednesday, October 26, 2022: Here we are 6 months later, and I've still not heard from anyone with the company. I've lost hope at this point!! Unicorn Moving should be ashamed for damaging a customer's furnishings and not taking responsibility for their actions. read more

We had a great experience with Unicorn Moving & Storage! The movers, Brent and Rick, were prompt and tremendously helpful. We had more boxes than we anticipated during the move (you figure out how much stuff you have when you go through it all - it can be so overwhelming), however, they were able to adjust the cost without any issues. In addition, they were able to load everything quickly without harming any of our belongings. They were transparent with what they were going to do during the entire process. We compared the cost of their services to other moving companies in the area and found them to be the most reasonably priced company.
