We hired Bobby for our move from the SanFrancisco Bay Area to the Las Vegas Area . He was the best price & his flexibility & timing of the scheduling & logistics was really advantageous. Most companies will pick up your belongings & take up to 2 wks to deliver, so you're basically living out of a suitcase & lawn chairs while you wait for your stuff to arrive. Bobby is just the opposite. He picks up your belongings & drives straight to the new house so we had our stuff the next day. He even shared his location w us from his phone while enroute, which gave us an extra piece of mind. Bobby has a lot of experience & is able to suggest how many local movers to hire & for how long in each spot for the load & unload. He is very open about his business, how he conducts it and, if you did any research or talking to a traditional moving company, you will quickly see how he is far superior. He will give you a firm quote, of course there may be a couple of moving pieces, but you will know everything up front. His pricing is more than fair with no hidden costs to worry about. Your belongings are loaded and driven directly to your destination. I recently moved from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest and had an amazing experience. Bobby's business partner, Oremek, took care of my move. He was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and the whole time, had a great attitude. He is extremely good at loading the truck at the beginning and unloading at the destination. I hired additional help at each end to move furniture and boxes and Oremek arranged at the start and helped to unload at the end. My belongings left on Tuesday and arrived on Friday. With a traditional moving company, it would have taken two weeks at the very minimum - likely longer since they don't seem to guarantee an arrival date. Most people dislike Craigslist, but I love it. If it weren't for Craigslist, I would have never stumbled upon Bobby's ad, and wow, I'm so glad I did! Moving is stressful and it sucks, but it becomes a bit less worrisome with Bobby leading the way. Bobby was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful from start to finish. He gave me a great price that was much lower than other moving companies, and he moved my belongings and pulled my car across country in four days, even making a pit stop to drop my car off at my dad's house! I don't know any other moving company that can move, transport, and unload things from coast to coast (SF to NY) in that short amount of time (and trust me, I called quite a few places), but Bobby definitely can and did! If I ever move across country again, I won't hesitate to call Bobby --he's that good! I found Bobby on Craigslist, contacted him and arranged for a Moving date. He "was" going to move me With another person going east to Arizona. I gave Him Several dates that would works for me. I PAID him $250.00 deposit for a Move from OC to Sedona, Az. He called just before the move and told me the other person canceled. He didn't REALLY Want to move me date scheduled, But said he would, anyway. I told Him Exactly everything I had to Move, and where from. I had 2 Refer sized safes, with 4 small boxes of Ammo. He showed up with No Dolly for the safes, A rental truck Too Small, for all my stuff. And one other person. He then told me he could Not transport my stuff. Got In his truck and drove away. I called him and offered to transport some of my stuff, myself. He refused to come back, refund my deposit, or even talk about it. I WAS skeptical, about him on the phone. I needed to move a small load of about 4 pieces of furniture and 20 or so boxes and other odds and ends from LA to Fresno. Large national moving companies want a 8k lb minimum (for about $3k!!) and the smaller companies advertising online just seemed sketchy and like they were contracting out. And I would know- I called at least 20 companies when prepping for this move. Bobby can do small or large moves, he is versatile, he is flexible on times, he can go to Fresno, he can go cross country, and he can probably go to the moon. He will set you up, and most importantly, he will be proactive about scheduling and coordinating and you won't feel like you don't know what's happening, which is so important when you are dealing with the stress of moving. Mr. Burke answered my initial inquiry very quickly and continued to be readily available all through my association with him. We subsequently contracted the move. Because it took some time for me to get my details in order, I had to delay the process but Mr. Burke kept in touch with me even at times when I was uncertain about about the exact scheduling; he would periodically reach out in a courteous manner and one in which I felt no pressure at all. It is true when Acumen advertises that they understand how stressful moving can be. Bobby worked hard to be sure my belongings were handled carefully as he and his partner had to manage some very heavy and unwieldy pieces of furniture.
