Made an appointment and brought my car in on a Thursday for because my gauge wasn't working (registered half full on a full tank). Called twice on Friday just to see if they had fixed it or it needed to wait on a part, and was told that they were busy and would call back. No call back on Friday. Called several times on Saturday, and was told the same thing each time, but no call back. Called Monday and got the same line about a return call (which I knew would not happen), so my husband and I went to t h e dealership to get my car back. My husband was told that the mechanic said it looked like it was working to him (it isn't). All said and done, they had my car two and a half days without even running a diagnostic. If we hadn't gone down there to get it back, my car would have likely sat there all week while we waited for a phone call that would never come. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. read more

If it is still available, we may have an opportunity to improve our trade allowance. If you're available in the next day or so, please allow us to take a second closer look at your vehicle. i was a employee at this store and i thought i might want to give people a heads up on what goes on in the service department first off most of the techs are back yard mechanics and dont know how to fix most of the problems that come in to the shop so more than likely you will have to bring it back more than once. one of the tech in the back is known as the comeback king and blew someones transmission second one of the techs has a drug problem and would forget to but most stuff back on, plus if the techs in the back didn't feel like doing recalls they would tell the service asvisors that they didn't have the parts for it when the did third the parts department never has any parts that you need to fix it that day all the way down to a air filters (AIR FILTERS PEOPLE ) if you want good techs and for it to be fixed the first time you might wanna take it somewhere else. because this place is a joke read more

They have only one goal: Sell you a new car. They have told me flat out lies thinking I didn't know any better to try and sell me a new car. I was attempting to convert a lease to purchase, the sales people here call me everyday telling me I have to pay an over-mileage fee, which they can "help me with" if I buy a new car. This is not true, when converting a KIA lease through KMFUSA to purchase, you mail them a check and get a title in the mail. No quarrels about mileage, condition of vehicle, etc. Avoid this dealership, they will lie to you at every corner to get you in a new car. read more

Michael was so professional yet down to earth and "real". I had to go meet this man and possibly buy my retirement car. at this Dealership, after this call. I was greeted by Michael who put me in very good hands with Shawn, who was a great fit for me, (Michael knew what he was doing, he read me)..Great quality to have to be able to match personalities and mannerisms in that way. No wonder he is the Sales Manager! Shawn was as great as they come. We hit it off right away. To top it all off, I changed my mind three times while I was there on the model and color. NO PROBLEM, I was the customer. I felt right at home like I could just move in. My last GREAT experience was with Eric, "the finance guy" You know the one that has the job of breaking it all down for you. I was again, so comfortable. I debated on where to buy a new car for a while now and after just a few minutes with Chris and his team I knew that I was in good hands! They made the process so easy and so comfortable. I am a single woman and didn't feel like they were trying to pull one over on me or treat me like I didn't know what I was doing. Wasn't really looking for another car but my husband saw a used Tahoe there that he wanted me to look at. I test drove the Tahoe and actually really liked it so I ended up trading my car in. It wasn't the easiest car buying process I've been thru but it was pretty quick. During the process of purchasing the Tahoe from here we discovered that the grip handle on driver's side door was broken, we advised the salesman that we would like them to fix this before we agree to purchase, they agreed. Manager told me it could take up to a week before they would have the new door panel in. No problem right?!?!? After a week and a half I hadn't heard back from Kia so I called the parts department to see if the new door panel was in and wouldn't you know it, they had NO idea about ordering this door panel. Gentleman on the phone called me back and said they can have the panel in 3 days and would call me when it came in. 3 days later I received a call, the panel was in and we made an apt to bring the Tahoe to them to have the door fixed. Brought the Tahoe to the service department, dropped it off to have it fixed; we left and ran a few errands. Got back to the dealership and opened the car door to realize it is a completely different door panel from all my other doors, even lost my heated and cooled seats button. WHAT THE HECK!!!!! I went into the service department and explained they put the wrong panel on, they quickly had 3 ppl come out to see and sure enough wrong panel just like we said. "No problem" they said "we will order the right one and have it here in a week". Ok deep breath...... A week later, no call. We called Kia to find out and the correct door panel is finally in and we made another apt to get the correct panel on. Bring the Tahoe up there again for an 11am appt. Drop it off, run a few errands and show back up at the dealership at 12:30pm. Wait for a bit, don't see the Tahoe out of the service bay so I go inside and ask if it is ready yet, the NOT SO NICE lady (PENNY) in the service department says "no, it will be another 20 minutes" So we wait another 25 mins. We go back inside and see them JUST NOW pulling the Tahoe into the service bay!!!! WHAT!!!!! IT IS JUST NOW GETTIG PULLLED IN!!!!????? Dave Thomas, which is the NICE gentleman at the service counter, and he said "no they are just tightening it." WRONG, THAT IS A LIE!! The panel just snaps on but that's fine we wait another 20 mins. After 20 mins Dave Thomas comes back to us and says "they are finishing up now." Being so aggravated and lied to, I explained my frustration to Dave Thomas and as calm as can be he tried to do everything in his power to help us and apologize for it taking so long. So here we are 2.5hrs later after dropping off the Tahoe it is still not done. Penny pops her head out from her office and smarts off to me saying "that they had a tractor trailer truck blocking their bay door and that's why they are getting it done late." Well you shouldn't have told me 20 mins if it wasn't even started yet!!! Just be HONEST!!!! Anyways..... Dave, I appreciate your time and kindness during this frustrating time. In February, 2017 I received an email from Yelp telling me that they removed my review because "it did not provide enough detail" about my experience. So, I'm posting again with more detail. I was car shopping online for my wife and emailed salesman Craig Driscoll. He sent me a video of the car and "Your Guaranteed Kia Forte Pricing" of $14,994 "including all available rebates and incentives". We went in on 8/7/15 and took a test drive and were ready to buy. He wrote up a contract for $16,877. I said what about the price you quoted? He said, "I don't think you qualify for student, military, or other rebates". I told him we were done there and were leaving. A sales manager tried to stop us but I told him that unless they would honor the $14,994 quoted by Craig, there was no deal, and that we would never be back. read more

I called UC Kia to schedule service for a recall card that came in the mail. When I scheduled the woman agreed that my car needed the recall done after I gave her the VIN. Fast forward to service day and walked in and gave them the keys and looked up my appt and did a search and said my recall was done in 2019 (2 years prior) So in mean time while there I had them change the oil. While waiting I got the infamous walk of glory where service (up sales) rep came in with a list of 3 things that needed done totaling over $1000. One of which was a $400 rear brake job. They charge $125 per hour for labor which is crazy for a Kia. I can get the brakes done else where for half of that. I left with the oil change and told them to keep the quotes. Note: one of things needing was an alignment but couldn't do it because a bolt was seized and they didn't have a torch to heat it. What kind of garage that charges $125 / hr doesn't have a torch? I would stay FAR FAR away from Union County Kia. My experience with them is as follows. When I bought the car, the salesperson was unfamiliar with the car and I had to teach him a few things about it. Not a big deal, everyone is new at some point. When I sat down with the Finance Manager I almost walked out. He was berating and yelling at the salesperson for making a small typo on the paperwork, causing him to redo it and he "wanted to leave". I explained that I didn't want (or need) to hear this and it was very unprofessional. We moved on and he then casually tells me that their website was wrong and my vehicle wasn't applicable to be considered certified as they listed. He offered to put a 2yr extended warranty on the vehicle to make amends. I thought that was great and tried to look past how unprofessional he was overall. Move ahead about a year and I go to have something looked at on the car. The sales person and finance manager are both gone. They cannot find record of my extended warranty and I'm treated like I'm lying, trying to scam them. They want me to pay to have the car looked at/diagnosed. They eventually find the warranty and fix it after a good amount of arguing. Move ahead a few months. I go in to have the starter looked at. They again show no record of the car having an extended warranty and again I'm treated like a liar. They eventually find it, test the starter and agree that it needs to be replaced. He said that he would call me after he gets approval from the warranty company. I call him back 3 weeks later (since I hadn't heard back). He said that he did get approval and the starter was on order. I call back over the next few months, leaving messages for him that are never returned. I call back 6 months later (because the issue has become worse and I can't drive the car at times) to find that service manager is gone, nobody knows of this situation, there are no parts on order, and again they can't find a warranty and are treating me like a liar. They tell me that their tech has driven the car and blame the noises on a needed oil change and bald tires. Though I do realize that bald tires will make a noise, this sound is from a wheel bearing. It's a very distinctive sound and symptoms and compare with other wheel bearings that I've had to replace. They said to come back after the oil has been changed and the tires have been replaced. Not only are they stalling me out and shoving me aside, they are very heartless about it during this process. It's obvious that they do NOT want to do warranty work as they get paid far less (as they have complained about). The amount of turnover with the employees is alarming and probably not a coincidence with the service that I'm receiving. I do enjoy the car and thankfully I can work on the car myself. There are a number of Kia dealers in the Charlotte/surrounding areas. Do yourself a favor and do NOT GO TO UNION COUNTY KIA IN INDIAN TRAIL! read more

I started my online research online, I happen to have owned 3 Kia's before, 2 at the time I started to look. I narrowed down the possibility of 2 cars, the Kia NIRO and Honda CR-V AWD, they both were about the same price. I started my NIRO pricing with Truecar which really is a joke because they do not let you actually choose the options you want, they only let me choose the LX version of the NIRO. The Keffer dealership in Mooresville got the info along with the battleground Kia in Greensboro. Both were quick to call and contact. At this time I was not sure we would be getting a new car, but once we found out my wife's car had an issue with the front rocker arm on her 2007 Kia Rondo which meant at least another 1-2k to fix plus the A/C was having issue after issue I really dug in to find a car to get. That is when I started looking for a great online price by using auto trader to search for the Kia Niro EX with all the extra safety features like blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, cross traffic warning. I sent out messages to quite a few dealers up to about 200 miles away, Keffer Kia in Monroe was the one with the best price so in my message to the others which also included Keffer Kia of Mooresville it was then up to them on who wanted our business and was willing to fight for it. Bob King Kia the "Nobody Beats Bob King Kia, NOOOBODY" whom we had purchased our current 2 Kia's from in 2007 were out in the first day saying they had no idea how they could sell the Niro for the price they were, it was a 1500 dollar loss for them and they couuldn't help us, said it had to be a lease. That is when I sent a email back to Brandon Jolly at Keffer Kia in Monroe to verify it was a purchase, and he said yes indeed sir that is a purchase not a lease. Battleground Kia in Greensboro did not have the NIRO with the options I was looking for in stock, though they said they could get one they never mentioned if they could match or beat the price and what they would do to earn our business, they wanted us to come in and test drive. I explained I will test drive at the dealer that has earned my business up front, mainly who is going to give me the ultimate best pricing, I do not want to spend the day haggling price at the dealer, I can do that online over a couple of days and be getting other things done, plus once your at a dealership it is not easy to see what the other locations would do for you on price. So needless to say Battleground was out of the game. Dennis at Keffer in Mooresville I have to say was really willing to fight for our business, he actually is a sister store of the Keffer Kia in Monroe, he said he was willing to beat the Monroe store price. I was like wow this is great, I thought for sure that was where I wanted to test drive it, so I set up the time. Brandon sent me email the following morning asking when did I want to come test drive the NIRO, I explained his sister store in Mooresville was closer to me and were going to beat the price so I was going to go there to test drive. This is where Brandon stepped it up, said he was going to offer me the best price said he would beat whatever offer they had, give us 2 tickets to Earth Wind and Fire concert, and 2 more gift cards, I think worth another 100 bucks. I was like wow he is really trying to earn my business, I felt with him being the one with the best price I found originally and him doing what he could to earn my business I had to go with him, it was the right thing to do. I let Dennis know at Mooresville location, I had to ask what was the price they were offering as Brandon was going to beat it, I know Dennis said they had a 110% guarantee so I took off 10% of the price and said is that the price you are offering, he did say no that was not how the guarantee worked but said it was lower. I sent a message back to Brandon telling him what they were going to offer, and yet again Brandon stepped it up and said that his offer would be the ultimate lowest they could go, and he knew I had 3rd party financing lined up with 2.2% he said he could offer that price to me if I financed with them for 60 months with a 1.9% rate. I certainly knew Brandon was my guy at this point, I have to say Dennis and Caitlin of Keffer Kia in Mooresville also were very good trying to earn us as customers, they were even willing to go another 150 dollars lower, but I let them know the price I had was great, and Brandon was offering tickets and gift cards, and the key area at this point why I decided to drive another 45 minutes to Brandon was because I had talked to him first, they all are great folks willing to earn customers business. WAY beyond Bob King Kia, so folks around Winston Salem area, dont listen to that hype of "Nobody beats Bob King Kia" be sure you check with Keffer Kia in Monroe, and or Mooresville. We got the NIRO from Brandon, and Josh who did our paperwork was also awesome. Highly recommend! read more
