I will give no star at all if I can, I was told movers will be there from 9am to 11am. I got a call from their office saying that movers will be there from 1pm to. 3pm, fine!! At 1:30 pm, received another call from the mover. He told me his truck has problems, running late until 4pm to 5 pm. Fine, at 3:15 pm saying that he will be there in 30 mins... So I dragged my two young kids and go to the storage for them to move. I waited over 2 hours, the office gave them a bad address! Anyway, that's fine too. After he looked at my storage, he said is over what they quoted me, I said fine and how much.... The owner said $1400 that's over $400 what they original quoted me, then movers said I have more.......... End up they asking for almost $2800. I was like what the hell is going on!!! I was so upset, I told them I am not going to use them. Because it is not ethical, and it was late. My two kids in the car were going crazy after 2 hours sitting in their car seats, I told them again, they can go home. I am done with them, cuz I can get a small container fill it up and they will delivery to Maine for $2330. After back and fore talking to the owner..... I settled with $2500, I am very unhappy with that but need to move out the stuffs and it was 8 o'clock at night..... So ~~~~~ Be very be careful with this company, I will NEVER, EVER use them or recommend them to anybody! DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL !!!!!! By the way, they use a rental truck to pick up your stuffs! From the moment I contacted Stephanie, I knew I was going to use this company. Their estimate was half the price of the competition, she walked me through all the steps, helped me with itinerary, and always returned my calls quickly to help with any questions I had. She genuinely wanted to help me save money on my move. When the movers came, they were very professional, and VERY fast! They delivered our items at the beginning of the estimated time period, the delivery man unloaded BY HIMSELF and was still very quick despite the fact we had stairs to climb. I bought a TV box from Home Depot but the driver recommended making a customized box to make sure that my TV was safe. I have not yet had my delivery so I can't testify to that yet. Moving from South Florida to Maui on my own as my husband is already working on the island is nothing short of daunting. Add a couple very anxious Shih tzu and an inquisitive 17 year old Ragdoll cat....hola someone sign me up for a spa day to recoup! My experience started with filling out an online questionnaire about moving and then being bombarded by calls, emails, texts....you name it. I was really overwhelmed and recieved this very nice text from Jennifer at United. What a DOLL!! She was helpful, informative and above all else honest....which lets face it, not a typical trait these days. Jennifer helped me throughout the processs. On the scheduled day of pick up, the crew ran late due to weather circumstances etc. and were very informative and sympathetic to timing. Once Mayor, Issac and William (gosh I hope that's correct) arrived I was amazed. They are professional, informative and above all else, kind. Being a single woman handling a move, I felt so comfortable with this team that I left them and continued packing my garage sale Uhaul! THIEVES! This company is CORRUPT and they are CROOKS. They literally rummaged through our sealed boxes, stole my jewelry box and my husbands rings and watches. We are filing a Police Report with the LAPD. From the beginning of our experience with this company to the end, this entire move has been such a nightmare! NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I cannot believe the way they have treated us. From jacking up the price from the original $7500 price to $9600 on our actual moving day due to "taking up more volume" on their rented Ryder truck and "oversized furniture". Seriously? Did they expect us to have hobbit furniture??? We tried to work with them on this outlandish price hike on the stressful move day and they were willing to knock off $650. Then Tammy offered for us to buy the extra insurance, and after reading the reviews where there was so much damage, we agreed we would like to purchase it and asked to see the terms and agreements of this company we would be buying the insurance through. NEVER saw these terms and agreements until the day my furniture arrived to my new location and found out that the $300 insurance policy was a waste of money and didn't cover anything. As they are pulling out the boxes, which had so much damage, and furniture that was also damaged, I just about cried. Since our items were stored for about a month, my husband and I inadvertently left some important items in our filing cabinet we needed to register our kids in school, so asked if we could retrieve them and we did. Then the very day before they deliver the items 1200 miles away Tammy calls us and tries to extort more money out of us saying we now owe $780 more than the $3428 price we agreed to after our first dispute with them. Then after all is said and done, opening up my boxes to find that they had opened them, rummaged through them, and stole my jewelry box, which was originally packed with saran wrap/taped and placed in the middle of neatly folded clothes both on the bottom and on the top.But when I opened the box, there were lose items from the jewelry box and the clothes were all mangled. They lost all of our stuff in a supposed warehouse fire (was not supposed to be in a warehouse in California, they had told us would be delivered to Alabama the next week) and have been cold and unresponsive to this devastating loss. I am happy to speak personally with anyone who is considering using this company. DO NOT DO IT. They have a terrible claims company, a dismissive attitude about their obligations and a completely unresponsive customer service department. That doesn't even get into the fact that they were terrible even at the initial packing up stage where a full service move turned into me and my neighbor helping the two people who showed up pack a 4 bedroom house. It was completely absurd. Save your self the hassle, use any other movers. If you look at other reviews, you will see that they pay people to write better reviews, including extorting them by charging extra fees and then offering to reduce the fees if they write a good review (look at reviews on mymovingreviews.com from the last month, reviews from Gabrielle last year on yelp). Also, they have yet to refund us the money that we paid upfront despite the fact they put our possessions at risk and cannot deliver them. Please save yourselves the heartache so many of us have gone through and use a reputable moving company. If you are using a broker, ask for who your broker is setting you up with and make sure there are honest reviews about the actual movers and that the movers have a good claims and recovery process. I picked this mover when relocating from San Jose, Ca to Florida. All I have to say this is a terrible mover. We scheduled a firm pickup date and they reschedule and moved it 2 days later. When they finally arrived they were very unprofessional... even one of the guys got into a fight with another mover and left the job.. But wait there is more...after my stuff was finally packed up and I was in FL, I received a call from the manager on 2 different occasions saying when my stuff would come and guess what? Each time it was postponed later and later because of trucks breaking down etc. When my items finally arrived in FL they lost, misplaced whatever you want to call it an antique living room table. They still owe me $26 from an insurance settlement for another item as well.. Do yourself a favor and avoid them like the plague. read more

Moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles was no easy walk in the park to arrange for someone like me who just finished college with a Master's degree looking to start fresh with the knowledge I just acquired, and after finishing moving out of the dorm on campus last week, but United Transportation Moving & Storage took the tension out of the tackle so to speak. They were patient with me on the phone as I provided them the information about what was needing to be moved and stored. Once they got here, I saw a detailed list of all of my belongings and once it arrived, nothing was damaged even though somewhat costly to pack it all right but hey, it was well worth it. One of the boxes actually busted open on the side...nothing major, but some of the popcorn was coming out and was all over the truck. Thankfully, the extra protection in packing they recommended kept every fragile item intact. I like the fact that they are worth the service that they provide in moving/storage because they've done it so much they make you feel comfortable with your personal belongings by explaining everything to you in detail and also informs you in case things may happen what to be prepared for as it relates to $$ and cents. I would recommend them to anyone looking to move far distances as they not only got my things to me safely, but kept me informed of the move and when I should (even at the latest) expect my things. read more

I give this company two stars for the following reasons. As I was searching for a company to move me across the country I found this place and based on the reviews they appeared to be good. Well upon booking my reservation for $200 I was told by company representative "kim" that my belongings will arrive 14 days from DATE OF PICK UP. However once the movers arrived "the day before I was to fly out" and they were on time i.might add, I asked the foreman about the delivery date to reconfirm it and he said "NO" your belongings will arrive within 21 days after the first date you are available for delivery and this in the contract. The 3rd was my delivery date, I was expecting my stuff based on this date. "Superfine print" well needless to say KIM lied or I should say misled me to get my business and when we did the inventory for the quote she was way off and included in correct items. The amount originally was 2000.00 easily turned into a 3900.00 bill. I had more items than the quote so that part I was okay with. But the delivery dates was my problem, i didn't get my belongings until 27days after pick up. Which was 2 weeks after "the first date available for delivery" I want to add, when you call to check on your belongings "kim" don't have a clue what's going on, she actually stated that there was no way she would have told me 14 days for delivery because that would require expedited procedures for an extra cost. WTF...I would not have chosen this company if I would've known they couldn't deliver according to what the original agreement. I told them a date for delivery 3rd of june she said yes after 3 or 4 times to confirm, only to backtrack her lie. Needless to say, I was leaving the next day, so I had to allow the movers to take my stuff. I got it late byt within the contract timeframe and slept on a air mattress from the 3rd to the 18th because my stuff was in route. I was misled so this company can get the job. The reviews with one star are too generous to this company. I am mystified as to how they stay in business. The unprofessional,uncaring, and promising , saying one thing and then doing another-example told me the cost would not differ fromthe quote and wrapping furniture for protection was included. When the movers arrived-(originally scheduled topickup thursday morning and finally showed up after 6pm on friday night withover $100.more in charges and verbally stating they had to charge more for "packing material". The "extra"packing material was boxes that I already had in my house from Home depot. I asked the to leave my house and I would move things myself in a u-haul. I spoke and complained to the dispatcher Roger, who assured me they had no "extra charges" for packing material. The movers despite my request they get out of my house packed things and kept telling me they were professional. I should have called my local police at that moment. Instead the wrapped my furniture pieces and loaded my already packed boxes into thier truck. The total unprofessional attitude continued after I was beginning to be a bit more comfortable with this company, I filed complaints immediately with the company, the local police,and the bettet business bureau consumer affairs department. The moving people left without providing me a copy of paperwork - that they were adamant I signed; And when I did sign it did promise thry would give me a copy. That never happened. The movers were notgentlemen and did not conduct themselves in a professional manner. Nothing I have experienced with them has been very professional. Now they are telling me they will deliver my household items after 5pm. They promised thier supervisor Alex Woodman would call me and they would take care of things on Monday. The only call I received was from the dispatcher Roger and an email that the price upon delivery will be 90 dollars more than the original price. Apparently they care about local customers as most of the 5 star ratings are in thier backyard. NO STARS, IF I HAD THE CHOICE I WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE RATING AS I WANT INNOCENT PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF THE CHEATERS! United Transportation Moving and Storage is a total rip-off! United Transportation Moving & Storage under bids estimates to get work and ignores what is written into the contract Overcharged!! I contracted with United Transportation Moving & Storage to move my household items from Simi Valley, California to Sunnyvale, California in February 2015. We contracted for a set price, an (binding) NTE to be exact. NTE means Not to Exceed. A Not-to-exceed deal means that the company agrees that your final price will not exceed the sum you agreed upon. This was done a month prior to the move, and confirmed no additional quotes would be needed as the move day approached since it was an NTE. I had very clearly mentioned several times to one Barbara the Sales Consultant that I personally will be driving from San Jose in the morning and that the truck driver should come between 12 noon to 1:00 pm. On the day of the move day, the dispatcher a very rude to the core Roger called to inform me while I was driving to Simi Valley at 8:00 am that the movers had showed up at the Public Storage facility to move my stuff in-spite of several communications and explaining to Roger that I had clearly communicated several times that I was leaving from Sunnyvale at 7:00 am to reach Simi Valley after 12 noon. Roger kept calling me and harassing me on phone that I have to pay $500 more for not being on the pickup site at 8:00 am. I tried speaking to Barbara who I was told was no more working for the company. Later when I tried calling her thru' another phone she answered the call and said that she had stepped out and was back again in the office. I explained to her the conversation between Roger and self and that he was complaining that I was not at the site and he was not aware of the time for pick up and he was yelling and shouting at me on the phone. Barbara assured me on the phone that she was sorry and mentioned Roger was a "jerk and talked shit" and to ignore him. These were the literal terms used by Barbara about Roger. Secondly upon reaching the spot the driver called Roger and Roger said that the job was underestimated and the price is going up and gave me the ultimatum of either paying the increase from $800 to $1450 or having them walk. I immediately contacted my sale person Barbara whom I was told was no more and was fired and transferred to other representatives Roger (the dispatcher who is rude and mean to the core) within the company. Long story short they said, Pay or we leave. Unfortunately, since I was leaving a leased property I had no choice and so my move needed to be that day so they twisted my arm into an increased price, which I told them I would debate on the other end of the move. No Communication! When my stuff was to be delivered on March 30th, I was very frustrated with United Transportation Moving & Storage as there was constant lack of communication as well incorrect communication! As if moving was not stressful enough, they force you to continue to reach out to them for information (arrival, delivery, driver info, storage, etc.). There 24 hour delivery notice, turned out to be no notice at all! I was not informed by the driver at all and I kept calling him and with no response as I was informed by Roger and Barbara that I have to pay up first the balance money even before the delivery and the driver would be arriving in 15 minutes time. I was at the facility waiting for him from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Then I was ordered by the driver to pay additional $175 in cash for using the elevator. He was not ready to budge till I had to go to the bank to fetch the money and pay him before he even started off loading the truck. Stolen and Damaged Delivery items! Upon delivery of my household, I noticed that my Wii and Wii board were all missing, in addition a number of other items. Additionally, a number of items were significantly damaged including my dining room table (driver told us the warehouse must have dragged it), my Fan stand (broken), missing bed hardware, coffee table (large dent and deep scratches), the list goes on. Lastly, I asked for a receipt, time and time again approx 10 calls to them, I still do not have the receipt. In spite of charging me the full inflated amount United Transportation Moving and Storage charged my credit card additional $206.00 without my authorization. I tried to contact them with no luck and have not responded to my emails either. read more

I used United Transportation to help me with a long distance move from Orange, Ca to Fair Oaks, Ca (400 miles). Kim in the office was extremely courteous throughout the process and I felt comfortable dealing with her. She quoted me an honest quote off the guess I have her. After looking on Yelp I started to panic seeing the reviews saying their items did not arrive the date they were told. The gentleman helping me on moving day was kind enough to call into the office to ask them a second time if my belongings would be arriving on time and they confirmed it would be. The movers arrived on a Monday and were done before I could blink. I asked that my belongings be delivered on a Wednesday (they said they could come Tuesday but my apartment was not ready until Wednesday). I received a call from the driver on Wednesday that they would be arriving in an hour and they were right on schedule. Again, the movers were efficient and respectful of my belongings. Not one broken item was found and I was over all very pleased with the ease of my move. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We used this company to move from California to Iowa back in July. Our things were off-loaded somewhere in the process, which I understand and don't have a problem with. However, they obviously did NOT cover things well and we had some vintage wooden furniture that was in pristine condition get wet. It arrived with the foam pads literally saturated, so water had been sitting on the wood for weeks and the pieces are essentially ruined. The movers in California disassembled furniture and were to reassemble as part of the "service" when it got to Iowa. The loading in California was not so bad. The unloading in Iowa was another story entirely. The driver was a great guy and a hard worker. The other two guys that started that morning were lazy and were found carrying one box at a time up the elevator, and were conveniently taking "rests" in the upper elevator hallway between each box. After two hours of these two idiots moving only about 25 boxes, the driver had to fire them and call the company to get different help. The two young guys who replaced them showed up a couple of hours later and could only work two hours total because they had to go to regular full-time jobs. While they worked pretty steadily, they did not get nearly enough stuff unloaded. The truck was still half full by 3 pm and the driver had been there since 9 am. And there was still a lot of large furniture to move, like a dresser, chest of drawers, large screen television, and shelves. The poor driver called the company to ask for help but they could not get anyone sent out. So, my 72 year old mother and myself had to help the driver unload the moving van. My mother and I man-handled her organ, two auto-lift recliners, a dresser, chest of drawers and tv by ourselves. The two replacement guys did not put things in the designated rooms either. By 8pm, the driver was trying to get the heck out of there and on the road because he had two more stops to get to. He partially put together only one of the two beds, because the pieces were buried behind boxes in another room that it took us the next day to get to. None of the patio furniture they had completely disassembled was put back together at all. The driver acknowledged the broken mirror on the piece the dresser hutch. The movers had packed this themselves and it had obviously been dropped in transit. It was all wrapped in moving blankets and shrink-wrap and you could hear the broken glass pieces when moving it. The broken glass shards gouged the wood. The driver didn't even want to take the blankets off it because he didn't want to deal with the broken glass. I went through all the motions of taking photos and submitting to the insurance company, based upon weight and was offered value at a fraction of the weight cost, even though I looked up online and sent them the manufacture listed weight for the items we were claiming damage to. In JULY 2016 I received this reply to my issue, "After your claim will be processed by the insurance carrier it will come back to us. If you wont be satisfied with their offer we will be happy to add to the compensation." I have been calling and emailing the company ever since (from July 2016 to now current January 2017) and I STILL have NOT gotten any reply. The office manager isn't there. The person I need to talk to is on vacation. The most recent line is that the person is out of town at a conference. My emails go unanswered. And we also had a vehicle moved for this as well. They quoted me a price and I had to pay in full, in advance. On the day the vehicle was due to be picked up, I was called and told it was going to be $100 more because they could not get the contracted vehicle moving company to deliver for the price they quoted. I refused to pay it. We had a signed agreement for the price - paid in full, in advance mind you - and they still tried to say I had to pay more to get the vehicle moved. We paid extra to move the organ - which we watched them manhandle when loading and chip veneer while doing so. They ruined the organ bench in transit and my mother and i had to unload it on the delivery end, up an elevator three stories and down a 150' long hallway into the apartment. That's the full-service delivery I paid for? We were also charged over $1200 for packing materials and packing service. Do you know what items were damaged?? The ones the movers packed!! They just really did a crappy job and now won't own up to making it right. So, long story short, stay as far away from this moving company as possible. They lost some of our boxes as well, and we got someone else's. So, if you used this company in July 2016 and are missing a box labeled "dining room mystery box" - I have your stuff. It included all sorts of party things and a really nice New England Patriots fleece blanket. Today I had my pick up by United. I believe the movers were Rocky, Noel, and A but I may have messed up the names. Barbara helped me set up the move. Barbara definitely remembered me every time I called. These guys enjoyed working as a team together, and it was nice having three of them where some places would have sent just two. They packed everything with more padding than might have used if I had done it myself. They called during the dispatch window to let me know a close idea of when they would arrive, so I wouldn't wait anxiously. They showed genuine concern for my well-being (for example making sure I had a safe place to stay tonight). I was happy with the service and look forward to the other end. read more

Kim was so sweet to me through the phone estimating our quote which was about $2,900 but when they got there just because we had extra boxes it DOUBLED to $5,200. (Just boxes the number of furniture was the same) due to such high prices I called Kim to ask her if she could help lower the price a bit, a week went by and never a call back. I called again to check on the status of all of my things and a lady told me that it will be delivered in a couple days! Today they should've gotten there by 11am BUT THEY SHOW UP 7 HOURS LATER!! It gets even better first thing when the driver shows up DEMANDING CASH raising his voice and arguing with my friend who was at the delivery location. HAVING FULL CONTROL OVER THOUSAND AND THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF FURNITURE and basically all of my belongings, he REFUSED TO UNLOAD ANYTHING until he GOT THIS MONEY. We felt so HELPESS, like were being ROBBED since they have all of our stuff and won't give it back unless we payed them cash up front without even knowing how many items is left on the truck and If they're still in one piece. BUT WHAT CAN WE DO. No one should go through what we did and have to be forced into a situation like this EVER. It was horrible and terrifying. As suspected my friend already found many BROKEN AND DAMAGED boxed and furniture. whats the point of paying thousands to protect your stuff and having it damaged anyways? WASTE OF MONEY. Before I decided to go with this company UNITED TRANSPORTATION I think I called every company there is! I thought it was funny because almost every company that I called only talked trash about all the other company's especially the cheaper priced company's! The WORST company with the highest price was Premiervanlines and Neena is the most horriblest person to deal with she lies and thats is told to me by at least 15 people that had problems with her. Plus she was charging me 2 1/2 times more! I didn't know who to go with at first but what made decied to go with UNITED TRANSPORTATION was the man on the phone! RODGER REED, he spoke like he really cared and that he also really listened to whatI was saying not to mention that he really worked on getting me the best deal out there! I knew that I had a LOT of things and I was sure something would get broke and I was right but it wasn't that bad and when I called Rodger with in minutes he had set me up with the information I needed to file a claim. I don't know if he's a employee or if he's a owner but he really does good at his job! I have already referred 2 people to them and would definitely use them again. They are not only the best price but they are thousands less then other places! No place can be perfect but this place comes pretty close! They even packed my big glass table top! The worst moving company ever ....find below the email we wrote to them after the service..company didn't even sent us the forms to claim and no response at all ...people who work with them will curse you during delivery .... Worst service ever. Much to my dismay, i am addressing this email for Order # ****** which was picked on 5/12/13 and was delivered 6/2/13. It is really sad for me to say that the truck driver called yesterday at 2pm EST stating he will be arriving in 2 hrs. However, he comes in at 7pm and the first thing he did was rudely asking for money so he could just unload the stuff and go home and sleep as he had a bad day. With this he starts cursing my husband in front of family and neighbor. This is really embarrasing and not exceptable to any client you may be serving. Also, in our inventory we had a Queen size bed that we just purchased 6 months back and the bed rails were broken when the inventory arrived. The guys wrapped the bed rails in a separate wrap and did not mark the number on the item. Now the bed is totally waste for us as the rails were broken during transportation. Also, 2 of my plastic storage drawers were broken and is in out of shape and i am not able to close the drawers. Not just this we had paid for the full service for packing and unpacking (Paid extra for tlhe full service) as my husband was travelling out of state and i am 36 weeks pregnant. We paid the total amount that we committed for and in return the driver (Jonnathan) and other 2 guys (helpers) did not provide the unpacking service. The service that we got at the delivery was just assembling the dining table. They could not assemble the bed as it was broken and they left all boxes in living room and escaped in 30 mins saying it was a long day for them and they wanted to go home and sleep. I tried calling your 888-668-3220 4-5 times to complain about this while they were at my home but the call was going to voice mail due to Sunday. We had paid extra money to take the full service and in return we did not get the service. Today i had to call in laborers for unpacking the boxed and paid $180 for this service that was your responsibility. With all this mess and no satisfactory client services from United Transportation, i would like to file in the claim and would like to get back my money for the services that was not provided. I would also want to complain about the drivers rude behavior and all the cursing that humiliated us. Finally, with all these if i had to provide the review about United Transportation then much to my dismay i may not be able to recommend this kind of service and behavior that caused us humiliation. I hired them for a long distance move. Their work was really good when it came to packing and pickup. Delivery was good too, but credit goes to the local helpers the driver had hired. Some of the boxes were broken, but luckily the contents did not get damaged. - They packed my items really quick and did a good job too - this included a couch, loveseat, writing desk, king size mattress etc. - Prepared an inventory and quote for my items which was then reconciled at delivery. Charged extra for "long carry" when the truck was able to get 75 feet away from my door. - At delivery, they unpacked placed items where we wanted them. They were quick at that too. Now the downside, I did not like the management and customer service which dropped in quality and courtesy after sales. These are minor items that can be easily improved and I sincerely hope they make an effort. - I spoke to their sales team a month earlier, worked out and agreed on a quote. They had me e-sign that and everything was fine until one day I found that the quote was increased. Calling them didn't help; they just said that the season had picked up and they can't deliver for the old rate. Come on, it is just a month old. Customer service told me that their manager did not approve of this. They did go back on our agreement, but gave me a $20 discount (not much, not sure why). - Four days before the scheduled pickup, I got a call asking (almost forcing) to prepone my move as they did not have an available truck on that day. I insisted that it was his job to make a truck available, he just wouldn't buy it. I called someone else later and somehow got this sorted out. They told me that the person I spoke to earlier was actually sweet but naturally speaks that way. I wonder if he was trying to save cost by bundling other pickups in the area. - They delivered to their commitment and everything per the contract. But, no one really helps you with it. Everything was in the contract, but whenever I called, I got asked/told - "Did you not read the contract?", "Did you sign the contract without reading it?", "It's all in the contract" etc. I know I should have read, but it wouldn't have hurt to give information and enlighten me in a friendly manner. - Policy: They delivery 21-30 business days after the first day you are ready for pickup. This is ridiculous! Same number of days from pickup would have made sense. Again, I didn't pay enough attention to the contract, but this policy does not make sense. - They did mention this - "if the truck is not able to enter the community, a shuttle would cost additional". I found an apartment that allowed ample access roads for large truck to enter and navigate. I couldn't believe when they called and told me the delivery is on a 53 feet/16 wheeler truck. I hired a shuttle myself hoping to save a little bit, but that didn't help as they charged a large sum for labor anyway. They did have multiple deliveries in my area and could have used a medium sized truck. I will recommend them for any kind of move, but would suggest to make sure all these hiccups are sorted out during sales and please do read the entire contract. read more

STAY AWAY! Run from these unethical people as fast as you can. Wish we'd read the Yelp reviews before making the deposit. After being rescheduled for the third time for the pick-up, decided to bite the bullet and cancel before belongings could even be put in one of their trucks. Had absolutely no confidence that things would even show up at the other end on this cross country relocation. The cancellation call was handled by an office staff that was obviously very used to dealing with irate customers and deflecting any deposit consideration for their unprofessional and unethical behavior. read more

Never ever use this company. My furniture is damaged, my nerves are shot and my husband is furious. This company lies from start to finish. They arrived late and delivered late. They damaged several pieces of furniture and destroyed several of my household items. I sent in a claim and they offered me $138.00 to cover the damage. The damage was over $1500.00. Avoid this company at all cost! From pricing promises made by the sales rep that were later reneged on to shifting pick-up/packing dates to the delivery time window being stretched by an additional week (and not due to technical/mechanical issues), this moving experience has been abysmal - the only bright spot was the team that actually did the packing (4 stars). Please never, never, never use this company!!!!!! I supplied them with an idomized list of ALL furniture that needed to be moved! When I got the bill, it was more than DOUBLED!!!!!! They were suppose to be at my location between 9-11am. At 6pm, I finally received a call asking if they could show up the next day, that was not exceptable because we had a flight to catch to our final destination. They showed up at 7pm making me and my family ultimately missing my flight. I endured $1000 in extra cost (missing flight, hotel, rental car) how did they make up for this, by ignoring my phone calls for over a week!!!!!!!!! If you are moving don't even bother calling these people. They are not a moving company, just brokers. That means, once they pick up your stuff, it gets passed down to someone else (a different company). These people charge their customers a deposit fee for a price over the phone and then they raise the price as they come to pick it up. You either agree to pay more or lose the deposit (in my case $200.00). Stay away from these people and look up moving companies that will pick up and deliver for you and not hand it to another company. I was told to google Dot license Search and click it and it takes you to the Us department of transportation. If the company is listed on this site you are good to go, if not, the risk is all on you! read more

If I could give negative stars to this company I would without hesitation... This company needs to be avoided at ALL costs. They are all sugar and spice until they get your money, then all communication ceases unless it is originated by you, and then they make numerous promises that are never kept. They break things, the lose things, They are NEVER on time, they charge more than the quote at delivery stating that you took up more space than you had estimated, and do not respond or follow through on anything they say they will after what they consider the final delivery. IN fact, if you get angry with them, they get snooty and snotty to you and act like you are the one causing the issue. We were moving from Phoenix to central Illinois in late 2013. We were told everything we wanted to hear and given "discounts" because they wanted us as a customer. The customer service rep spoke of how they had trucks going between LA and Phoenix weekly or more often. She helped estimate how much we had to move. We over estimated in case we happened to go over. At that time we paid half of the estimate to lock in the transaction. We were given a date for pick up ad were told that there would be a call the day before to verify the address and pickup time. That promised call never came. We called the company and asked about status. I was told they would look into it and give a call beck, and also gave me the driver's cell phone number. The next morning I called the driver's number. I was told at that time the truck was broken down and it should be fixed that day and they would be at our place the next day. Called the dispatcher at the company to complain and he told us that they would be there the next day. Finally after on the 3rd day we get a call stating they were in town and would be at the house to pick up our stuff at 9:00am. They finally showed up at around 11:00am stating traffic made them late. I called the company back and they said they would box up the other TV and two large pictures for free for our inconvenience of having to live in a hotel for 3 nights and also pay extra money to the property management company because we were not out when we said we would be. The truck that showed up a lot of graffiti on the sides of the trailer. They spoke in broken English and talked together in Spanish a lot. One of the movers mentioned that they had been delivering things in YUMA over the last day and that is why they were late. Then we were told that we took up over 100 square feet more then the estimate and that we would have to pay $800 more. We had already paid the remainder of the estimate by credit card. They agreed to allow us to pay the overage at drop off. We waited for the drop off to come. No call, no delivery. Company said the truck was in transit. Should be tomorrow morning. The driver will call. Next day, same thing. I'm also told at that time that when we pay the balance it has to be in a US POSTAL Money Order or CASH to the driver. No other form of payment accepted. Finally the truck arrives on the evening of the 20th day after the move, even though we were promised 10. The truck is an entirely different one, and there is only ONE man in it to do the unloading and he looks like he had just gotten out of a fight. Literally. The driver also tried to get us to sign another credit card slip for the initial amount we paid, which we refused to do. We had already paid that and had the receipt to prove it. The delivery had broken furniture, mirrors and pictures, and an heirloom antique curio cabinet was missing. We paid the delivery guy the extra $800 and he left. Over a year later we still have no curio and the company is not taking our calls and not responding to our emails, even though about 2 months after the move they sent us a picture of the cabinet asking if it was ours. Then it was always 2 or 3 weeks away and to be patient. In March I called them and got angry and said we might sue. They got mad and said give them a month and they would call with a hard date for delivery of the missing item. No call and no response now from ANYONE at the company. This company does not meet deadlines, does not follow through and are generally incompetent. AVOID this company at all costs! read more

You need to know that the positive reviews on this company are not real. Believe the 1 star reviews. I am a real person and I used this company for a move from outside Seattle, WA to Mtn Grove MO. My "sales" rep was fabulous, she was so nice and helpful. My pick up driver was fabulous he ended up loading all on his own, he did it professionally and quick. I was scheduled for pick up on a Monday and they called and said they had a truck ready the Saturday before, since I was ready I agreed. My stuff was picked up on the 23rd of May, it is now the 22nd of June and I have no idea where my stuff is. I called last Friday they said it would be delivered between this Thurs and Sat. I called today they said next week, I have heard horror stories about movers going through your stuff and repacking it. I did move all valuables in my car so at this point I don't care what they take just give me what is left please. Don't be fooled by this company even if they give you a cheap estimate. I actually have no idea how much it will cost me by the time they deliver so far it's been $2463.00, and it wasn't the cheapest bid I got but I did like the sales rep..... the only reason I chose this company. I thought they would have good customer service, but once they have your stuff the customer service goes out the window. So for your own piece of mind don't use United Transportation Moving and Storage, check the BBB first. and don't believe the fake good reviews. read more

Many companies contacted us for moving our household items from Washington State (Tri-Cities area) to California (Bay Area), but my wife and I just stick with United Transportation Moving & Storage. We were charged a very fair price (loading and unloading included). Shipment is very fast (pick-up on Wednesday and delivery in the early morning of Friday). People we communicated with over the phone are very nice and patient. We are very delighted that we chose this company to ship our stuff. It is absolutely a right choice. We will use it again when needed in the future, and refer the company to our friends. read more
