He said they closed at 4. It was 3:59 and I shared with him I was waiting there while he was talking and he looked at his Phone and said "now it's 4" and I asked him if he was kidding and he said no. Then he said, "fine I can ship it for you what do you need?"... I said I needed to ship something then he said "oh sorry yeah we are closed - we closed at 4 it's now 4:02" I looked at him and said "this is why I never come here" he responded with, "good." Every time I've been to this UPS they speak negatively about other ups Locations and never offer help and if you ask for help they say no I drive the extra 10 mins usually for the Silverlake location. If not, balikbayan boxes are jumbo sized boxes filled with household goods, mostly food, that Filipinos who happen to be overseas send back to family and friends to the Philippines. For so many years now, my family and I have used Forex to deliver our balikbayan boxes to the Philippines. If you need a balikbayan box sent to the Philippines, call Mang (Mr.) Nick. Mang Nick and staff has always been friendly, and box pickup has always been prompt and on time. In addition, Mang Nick and staff straps the boxes at no additional charge for extra security. There's a slight discount if you drop off your box at the Eagle Rock office, but I love the convenience to getting the heavy boxes picked up. Balikbayan boxes are sent by ship, so shipment takes about a month to a month and a half, depending on the destination in the Philippines.

First of all, there's no "express" about it. It took 20 minutes just to get a price to mail a package with 2 people on the job. When I asked how much insurance was, well, I said "just forget it" after watching them struggle away. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a large part of what they do there. That price to mail a box USPS to Australia was about $67. Seriously! I went to the post office straight after - the ACTUAL price? $17! To top it off, they are shockingly rude. To the point of dropping things in front of me as I reached out, instead of handing them to me, and walking away as I was in mid-sentence. That kind of service ain't worth the $50 they tacked onto the actual price. Stay well away, head to any one of the SUPER friendly and efficient post offices in the area. Then go celebrate with your spare $50.
