I LOVE breakfast food, but rarely get to go out for a great breakfast meal. I found this place on a whim and decided to go with some friends visiting town! This place was easy to find, but doesn't have great curb appeal. Don't let that fool you though! The inside is adorably decorated and welcoming. We were seated quickly and were given menus, which were massively loaded with food! I ordered the untoasted almond coffee, an alcoholic coffee covered in whipped cream and coffee. YUM! After much agony (did I mention I love breakfast?), I also ordered the French toast. There were lots of options for toppings, and I chose the berry compote and chantily cream. Our food came quickly and I was drooling over the THICK toast and melting cream. My food was absolutely delicious in every way! Our service was also great. We had multiple servers stop by throughout our experience, so it was hard to tell who was "our" server, but we were never waiting for someone to come by because they were always there. The only reason I gave a four is because both of my friends' meals were served cold. I don't know if mine took the longest to cook or what, but they were less impressed with cold eggs and bacon. Nice spot in Hollywood for breakfast. It is located in an unattractive plaza but close to the main road and easy to get to with lots of parking. I had the grilled wild salmon, it was served on a few slices of tomatoes and a side of potatoes. The Hollandaise sauce was on the side. The place was busy and everyone was ordering all the fun stuff! When planning the weekend of all weekends (I may be exaggerating here), I was determined to drag my visitor out to brunch. That and let's be honest here, it got me out of having to cook another meal. Anyway, I had heard plenty of great things about Untoasted through many Yelp friends writing their reviews of the place. I figured it was time to finally go. Calling Sunday morning and confirming that there was no wait time and free parking in a strip mall plaza only cemented the deal. Upon arrival, the place was bustling. So many people! It seems this restaurant is very popular. We had our choice of indoor or outdoor seating and wound up sitting inside. From the moment we sat to the moment we paid, we weren't even there for an hour. This isn't to say they rushed us. It's just that they moved that quickly. We didn't order anything complicated. He started with a Coke and I, of course, having seen a bazillion photos of major coffee extravaganzas, interrogated the waitress until finally deciding to order a hot mocha marshmallow latte. They sprinted to make it, so much so that they forgot the marshmallows, and before I even had a second to ask about them, voilà - I had the marshmallows drizzled with chocolate on a small plate right in front of me. I placed the marshmallows on top of the coffee and from then onward began a love affair for the ages, because seriously speaking, that coffee made my heart sing. My entree, the chicken and waffle Benedict, was delicious, too, but the coffee crunched it for me. Going back to the Benedict though, the chicken was fried to perfection, easy to bite into and chew, but again in all the rush, they forgot the maple syrup. No matter, once again, it only seemed to appear by magic just like the marshmallows. He, on the other hand, had pancakes with chocolate chips and chocolate hazelnut sauce. I obviously took a bite, because if not, what type of foodie would I be? Also, the presentation was so beautiful that how could I not? We kept commenting that the chef must've gone to culinary school because the dishes were presented so neatly. Both plates were super hearty, so much so we had leftovers, and to top it off, in all this, I am only remembering just now to mention the fries that came with the Benedict. They were fried, yes, but they were clean as in not full of grease. I didn't feel like I was committing a sin here by eating something horribly fattening. Our stomachs were very happy, and more so, the wallets were even happier. With so much food, even with tip because the employees here seriously provide extraordinary service, the price was a heck of a bargain. I mean, yes, Yelp says this is average pricing, but I found it quite economical. Maybe the entire experience was just that worthwhile for me? Everything here is absolutely delicious but some of my favorite dishes were the French toast and the biscuits with gravy. I barely eat meat but these biscuits with gravy were so worth it. Came here for breakfast and found it using Yelp. It was at the top of the list. I've never heard of this place and lived 10 minutes away. The service was very good. Employees were moving all around. We got lucky and were seated right away. There is plenty of parking in the lot just west of I-95. By the time coffee came a wave of patrons showed and the place was packed. I love a decadent Saturday morning breakfast with a sweet French toast or fluffy pancakes, crisp bacon, and really good coffee. I was in the area and based on the good things I had been hearing about it, I decided to stop at Untoasted. It's a small family run restaurant that opened in March of 2019 in the corner of an office park west of I-95. The restaurant is owned by partners Adrian Oriole and Flavia Abarca. The breakfast menu offers specials and Latin influenced items like the breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros nachos. They also serve alcohol in mimosas or cocktails which I love for brunch. When I arrived they were extremely busy. I was offered an outside table but I opted to wait a few minutes for an indoor table in the air conditioning. I know people love this place but my experience was just awful. They put me at a table that was millimeters from the door. The entire time people were coming so close to me as they entered the restaurant. At one point a staff member was just hanging out in the doorway. I was so uncomfortable having people constantly brush up next to me the entire time. It actually gave me a headache. For my breakfast I ordered the Challah French toast. It was $15 and it came with two toppings. They forgot the strawberries and brought them later. The French toast was ready 30 seconds after I ordered it. There was no way it was made fresh for me. For $15 it was not worth it. An unmemorable side of bacon was $5. The best part of the meal was the $5.50 Nutella latte. Halfway through the meal I couldn't take the door anymore so I just took everything to go. I tried to explain to the server Chris the problem but he could have cared less. The kicker? They automatically add on the 18 percent tip but don't tell you. A thirty dollar breakfast and I was miserable the entire time. I won't be back. read more

Delicious, appealing looking and the portions are huge. The French Toast is clearly the winner. They bake their own bread every morning, make huge slices, and build incredible combinations. My wife had the "original" that seemed to be almost orgasmic. But we saw so many options that were overly sinful. I live a gluten free life. And my only complaint about the restaurant is that I wish there was even one gluten free bread choice. So I had the amazing huevos rancheros. The flavors were infused together. a bit sad since we have been to untoasted a few times and really loved it! This last visit fell short in many ways. Firstly the pricing. $70 for two people to have brunch, no alcohol. The fresh squeezed orange juice tasted like sour Tropicana , not fresh at all and was $7 each mason jar.. my husband got the burger with Mac and cheese and was supposed to have blue cheese and Buffalo sauce, well there was no blue cheese or Buffalo sauce on it. I got the breakfast burrito that was supposed to have chorizo in it and I found maybe one or two pieces in the whole wrap. Also there was no black beans. There was a black bean mushed sauce for adding to along with sour cream, tomato's and guac. It was an average breakfast but definitely not worth the $70 check. they really should get rid of their uninviting signs about not allowing food to be returned and no changes to orders... First of all, their website says that they offer gluten-free options. That is is not only misleading. It is incorrect. I ended up having eggs that were awful and something that was supposed to be a tomato, which sadly had no flavor. There was nothing else I could order, because nothing was gluten-free. For Mother's Day, my kids asked me to pick if I wanted to go to breakfast or lunch. They wouldn't tell me what restaurants they had planned for either meal. I went with breakfast because I figured it wouldn't be too crowded that early in the morning. As my daughter was driving, I was trying to guess where they were taking me and I guessed this place but they wouldn't tell me that I was right until we turned into the parking lot. It opens at 8:00 am and there were already a couple of people in their cars waiting when we got there at 7:50 am. I don't know if it was because of Mother's Day but there were no tables available by 9:00 am. They had a special menu for Mother's Day. My daughters got the Dulce de Leche Latte & Oreo Latte and ordered the Eggs Benedict, Untoasted Bread Pudding French Toast with ice cream and Untoasted Bread Pudding French Toast with Chantilly Cream. My husband also got Eggs Benedict and I got Banana Dulce de Leche with Chantilly Cream. I LOVED my breakfast! The bananas were fresh and the Chantilly Cream was so fluffy and yummy! I tried my daughter's Untoasted Bread Pudding French Toast but I didn't care for it. It had a combination of strawberries, blueberries and chocolate sauce and I think I had a bite that had more blueberries because it was a little bitter tasting but my daughters liked their breakfast. I ordered the untoasted three egg breakfast with potatoes, wheat toast and apple wood bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cons for me is that menu was somewhat limited, though there was a variety on the menu and gratuity (18%) is automatically added. The hot oreo latte is tastey, it's served sweetened so you don't have to add sugar unless you like it very sweet; it has a good blend of oreos. It's not served very hot so you can drink it with a straw. Huevos Rancheros Nachos was good, better than I expected. They can add a bit more nachos for me. Cookie dough French toast was nice as well.
