Reasonably priced food. Pizza was good too but we ordered the thin crust and it was too thin with extras we ordered on top. It was too soft. It turned the crust mushy.Tasty though! read more

Went for the first time and food came out after 40 mins. Not what we ordered but something to devour while were (still) waiting for ours. And then came ours after 10 more mins. While this review may seem negative for the restaurant, I'd like to commend the congeniality (and apologetic candor) of the cashier who served us the food. My family and I will still come back because the pizzas and meatballs were really good. Hopefully, service then will be much faster. read more

Upper Crust Pizza is our family favorite in Vista! Their pizzas have delicious thick crust, and they are always quick to have them ready for dine in or pick up. Our 7 year old loves eating there, as they have arcade machines. This is a perfect place for a pizza party, team party, or family dining. We love their sausage and jalapeno pizza, and sometimes add pineapples. Give Upper Crust a try the next time you need a top shelf pizza! read more

Best food stop in a month of dining. Over the top fillings, crispy, tasty gluten free crust (a feat of mastery) Watch the cooks for 2 min & you see the care that goes into their craft. Thank you. Wow... Never been soo glad to be ignored before! Went to Chili-Coast for a Sandwich and the owner saw me smile and say hi... we were ready to order and she walked by us to go bus a table as her son played on a computer in front of us. (it was dead) Looked at my friend and said... wanna go somewhere else... She said Round-table. I kinda didn't want to go there... Sooo glad we did! It wasn't very busy... We ordered a 1/2 salad 1/2 pasta (the ONLY thing wrong with this is I said I didn't like black olives and wanted to make sure they weren't in my salad) That would have been the perfect time for the guy to say... ooh we PLOP the pasta on top of the salad and it has olives on it! I'll know for next time to ask for them separately! We ordered Meatball subs. ate 1/2 there and took the other half home. It was one of the best meatball subs I've had. The bread was not hard and crusty... the meatballs were a nice size, very tender and quite tasty!!! (I had to ask them if they make them there... they don't but they sure didn't taste like frozen... or like Subway's!) They have great ranch and balsamic dressing. Really good pizza.. Uppercrust is like your neighborhood pizza joint. No Italians but if your in some type of sport team this is the place to go.. If you get a salad they have croutons but there in like the plastic cereal containers like when your a kid. Get the calzones there priced good and taste amazing. 1 thing i will say about this location and the other.. Its about time to start getting sone deals going. WOW WOW WOW that's how i felt after i ate their meatlovers pizza, it was that good!! i dont usually eat pizza, but when I do , i eat it at upper crust! Their meat lovers is amazing, it has pepperoni, ground beef, sausage and ham ( although i opt'd for the bacon instead of ham) and they were okay with that *wink* i love how they have blue powerade in their soda selection, that's pretty amazing and rare. oh and btw, their garlic pizza bread is so soft and chewy, i wish i could take a whole box full home! so if you're ever in the area, remember what Ji said, if you come to uppercrust pizza, then you'll get the best pizza every time read more

Favorite item on the menu is their Hot Stuff Sandwich. Many options of meats to put inside like ham, roast beef, pastrami, turkey and more. My personal favorite is the roast beef and I like to add some mushrooms in there as well to add a few more veggies. That is also a great plus here... you can be creative with your dishes. All the ingredients on their menu can be added to their calzones, hot sandwiches and pizzas. Their pizzas here also are really good and the ingredients taste fresh. The dough used for the hot sandwiches is the same dough used for their pizzas and it is delicious. You can tell its not your cheap little Cesar's dough and had been rolled out recently. Also big thing here... If your a ranch fan, for some reason their ranch just works perfectly with almost anything on their menu. You have to get a side of ranch with your pizza or sandwich! For a nice mom and pop pizza spot in Vista it has awesome food, cheap beer, and great service. What more can you ask for? read more

Mama Mia love this pizzeria! My family loves upper crust! From their delicious hot wings (I order extra crispy) their amazingggg half and half salad (a mixture of noodles and salad) to their mouth watering calzones and pizzas. We are a fan. The staff is always friendly and even during these Covid times where it's pick up to go, they're quick, friendly and just as tasty! The prices are good and the quality is better. I love everything on the menu but my normal go to are the wings, half and half salad, spaghetti meatball and Hawaiian. I haven't lived in Vista in forever. I'm back in town and I'm getting lost that's how much everything has changed. At my mom's house making an order and I still remember the phone number to upper crust because way back when I first started ordering from them there were no cell phones with built in address books. I have been coming to this place for at least 5 years! I have always placed my orders via phone and just pick them up, as it is a very busy place! Today their phone didn't work, so I had to just drive up there and place an order at the restaurant. No big deal this time cause I just wanted a chef salad. It was busy. As I was waiting, I see the guys not wearing gloves, making my salad. Now I wouldn't mind so much if that's all he did! This guy stops midway of making my salad with his bare hands, gets a lil pump of hand sanitizer rubs his hands once then rubs the rest off his shirt! He proceeds to take an order handling the book, pen, and other things. Then as he was busy doing that another worker comes, with bare hands to finish off my salad, touching, and spreading items around all with his bare fingers and palms. Don't know what he was doing prior. The gross thing is, while bare hands, they had a spill, so they go grab a dirty towel to wipe the floor with, using their bare hands. Pumps a lil sanitizer, wipes on shirt, and continues on next tasks. They give me my order after I had to ask for it, cause the guy didn't just bring over my order, he just places it on the counter, I waited another few minutes before asking for my salad. As I watched him put the salad in a bag I noticed the salad was missing ingredients listed on the menu. I bring it to my car so I'm not being weird about it. I was going to drive off but thought you know, this isn't ok. It was missing tomatoes, artichoke hearts and I thought eggs. I bring it back in and politely told him it was missing items, the guy who came up to the window proceeded to open the box and uses his bare fingers to move my salad around to show the eggs but he was missing the other items. I was so grossed out! I watched him do other things barehanded! He saw I was grossed out and says, "my fingers are clean but I can make you a new one". I was hesitant but felt awkward, I"m not a confrontational person. I said, "ok, thanks". He makes it with bare hands again! Then at one point goes into the walk-in fridge, for who knows what, cause all the ingredients are out on the table! Needless to say, I walked out with it but threw it away. Never buy from there again! Had their phone worked, I would NOT have known that this is their standard practice! No gloves! I don't care about the pizza or cooked items because they get baked in a very hot oven! Any germs would be cooked away! But a salad though?! NO! Come on.... WEAR GLOVES, PLEASE!!!!! read more

First Impression: this quiet, unassuming strip mall has many treasures. Dont let it fool you. The interior looks like a flash back to the 90s. Its clean and neat, but the focus has not been upgrades on the look. The food: We ordered The Special pizza, wings and garlic bread. The wings were fine, but I dont think I'd order them again. Tasted like something I could make at home. The garlic bread felt the same, but it was very well priced, so i do recomend that. The pizza was really tasty. Lots of toppings and a crispy crust. The service: Service was polite and friendly. You do have to get your own plates and silverware. Which is geeat if you know, we sat there for a second before we realized that task was on us. Overall:I will come again. It is close to my place (less than a mile), the service was polite and the food was pretty good. This seems like a great place to take the kids or a big group. I enjoyed it. read more

BEST PIZZA! Like most people I have tried the large chain pizzeria's finding they are over priced, skimpy on toppings and multiple issue's from cold pizza, wrong order, long waits and improperly cooked. I recently tried the everything pizza substituting ground beef for the black olives and mushrooms and it was amazing. I ordered a small and the first thing I noticed when I picked it up was how heavy it was. Thinking it was going to be a heavy crust pizza, I was blown away when I got home and opened the box. Toppings galore!! It was cooked perfectly, had the right amount of sauce and cheese and as stated a load of toppings. The service was friendly and quick and although I didnt dine inside, the place was clean and welcoming. Going forward, I wont be ordering pizza from anyone other than Upper Crust. read more

Got a meatball pizza to-go. Pizza was hot and ready for me to pick up when I arrived, which is good. The ambiance looks like you'd expect for a family pizza joint. The "Large" was about 14", which seemed smaller than I expected; the "thin crust" wasn't, and the cheese was a bit too thick and gooey for my taste. When we took a slice, half the cheese and toppings pulled off. The next morning, it was actually a bit better; I'm a fan of morning-cold-pizza for breakfast. On a pick-up, I usually tip about 10 percent, but I paid with a card, and there was no place on the reciept to write-in a tip. Will probably try other nearby pizza joints before coming back. read more

I'd suggest takeout. The pizza is good (4 stars at least). The actual place is not so good (maybe 2 stars). I had read other reviews and chuckled at someone calling it a pig sty. I figured that sometimes people are just picky and it couldn't be that bad. But unfortunately, it pretty much was. Dirty floors, sticky with soda. Unbussed tables. Filthy bathrooms. Anyways, I hate to be negative, I appreciate small businesses and want to support them whenever possible. The up-side is that the pizza is pretty darn tasty, but when I go back it will be for takeout. read more

Called in to order a pizza + well baked wings and was told 15/20 minutes. I show up 25 minutes later and the order is still not ready no big deal I'll wait. They made me wait an extra fifteen minutes to cook the wings and to top it off the wings came out raw and no I can't just use my oven to cook since we are remodeling our kitchen. Waste of time and money but most importantly I had to trash the wings, what a shame. They rather focus on closing duties early than focus on food quality or customers read more

The baklava seemed to be a little burnt on the bottom but it had a good flavor. Maybe it was just a bad night for the food that we got or it sat too long steaming in the to go containers. After seeing it set at the bar where the drinks come out for a few minutes, I just went and picked it up. The young man who brought our food seemed more interested in talking to the female employees than checking on customers, but I was 20 years old once too. We did get there kind of late and left a little after closing time. Everyone was busy checking their phones. . . We'll be back. Pizza is always great. When the order came out, the order was completely wrong. We took few bites of the sandwiches and left feeling so agitated and frustrated. This odd feeling lingered very long even after we left the place. I don't think it's just a rumor.

The sandwiches are very messy, you really want to eat it with utensils because it's loaded with veggies and sauces that get all over you. The service is great, my order is always hot and ready when I pick up, I always make a stop here whenever I am in the area.

I got there at 9am on a Monday with a co-worker. We ordered coffee and then started working on our laptops. From the get go we could tell the cashier woman was NOT a friendly person, it was like we were annoying her by being in her cafe. Our goal was to work there for the day and eat lunch there as well. There were hardly any other customers in the place the entire time we were there. At about 11:20 the cashier woman came to our table with our original receipt and showed us the time stamp on the receipt and said, "I told you you can only be here for about an hour, this is not the kind of cafe where you can sit and work all day." I said, "It's only 11:20, it's not even lunch time, we planned on ordering lunch here as well." She just walked away and said nothing. We should have left but we were in the middle of working. We did end up ordering food, 2 avocado toast dishes. They made one of them incorrectly and they tasted just OK. We certainly didn't tip her and we certainly will NOT be going back there EVER again. There are other reviewers who feel the same way about this woman, read carefully before you consider giving this place a single penny, she doesn't deserve your business. We are always looking for nice little cafes to work from, she could have gotten 2 new customers for life, instead she gets this review and maybe one day will learn a lesson.

It is affordable and easy to feed my family as I'm confined to a wheelchair and cooking is hard. But there are so many flaws in just two orders: 1st order my hubby went and picked up. Liked 75% of the meals, happy with outcome. 2nd order - lots of bad. - Order was mishandled and set to pickup when it was delivery. I had to call to get it updated. - It refused to use code ETADS that was sent to me for 15% off. - Order arrived missing two items. I called immediately and they said they'd credit me. I've yet to receive this credit. - Just went to enjoy one of the kids chicken Alfredo meals (we had this in first order) and it has zero sauce. It was packaged without it. I ordered 2 and checked the other, also no sauce. All of this on 2nd order and it's hard to have faith in future orders. I never write these things but felt it was important being there were so many issues.

I ordered online for pickup, but once I got there it was nice and sunny out in their patio, I decided to enjoy it on the spot. The staff a were nice and efficient. The restaurant was clean and there were a quite a lot of people eating there. Wonderful stop!
