I have been going here for a little over a year now and I have to say I love their food! However, the last three times I have gone, my order has been wrong. Whether that be forgetting "no tomato" to forgetting a "side of BBQ sauce" to giving me a completely different sandwhich than I had ordered. I had the classic burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was huge and so juicy! This place needs more recognition because their burgers are as good, if not better, than Five Guys. Decided to take a chance at this place after receiving a coupon at a Kane county Cougar game. I took my daughter and we ordered hotdog, fries, onion rings, a grilled chicken sandwich and chocolate shakes. Everything is made to order so It took about 5-10 minutes for our food to arrive and it did not disappoint. We took a chance on this place after seeing all the reviews online. Being that it's in a gas station we were hesitant. Well the service and the chef was super friendly, my husband and I ordered two burgers to go and some mozzarella sticks. Well upon getting home and taking a bite the burgers were so salty it was unbearable. I am sure this isn't their typical burger mix, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. This place is amazing! They have God-level burgers, fries and shakes--IN A GAS STATION! I had a classic, he had the blue cheese with with the bacon jam and little bit had the fried chicken. We were all really surprised at how good the food was. The shakes were hand spun and worth the wait. Not what you expect from a gas station cafe, but it was worth the risk! This joint was amazing! Seriously one of the best burgers I've had in a looooong time. Grilled fresh and made to order the burger was juicy and flavorful, with that slightly charred flavor of a great classic burger. My wife got the BLT and she seemed to really enjoy it. We also got fries and sweet potato fries and both were really tasty. It is right next to a gas station. Well, actually it is attached to a gas station. But don't be weirded out about that. A burger place attached to a gas station? Normally wouldn't be a first choice stop for me, but after eating there the other night this will definitely be in my rotation. I ordered the blue cheese burger and my husband had the one with jalapeño and then we split a fry and a soda. I think our total was around $16 (??) for two delicious burgers. As others note, easy to miss because it sits next to C-store on gas station property. Drive by this corner every week and never noticed it. Would have remained a lost to me if not for Yelp. Definitely worth a visit. Took my daughters. Ordered the blue cheese burger, a slider selection (two beef, one turkey burger), fries, the Harvest Salad, chocolate shake and a couple fountain drinks. Everything was great. We ordered the burgers medium-well which always risks them coming out overcooked or dry. Urban kitchen delivered them perfectly cooked and still juicy. The blue cheese burger at Rock Bottom Restaurant/Brewery is a favorite of mine. The Urban Counter version is as good as, maybe better, the bacon sauce mixed with the blue cheese really tasty. The Harvest Salad was excellent; the grilled chicken particularly flavorful, lots of of nuts and cranberries, and great dressing. Fries cooked just right. Chocolate shake just ok. Food was,actually pretty good. The problem, a burger and onion rings took twenty five plus minutes, and I was one of,two people in the place. The,two workers were clearly uninterested, chatting the whole time, in no hurry to serve me or anyone else for that matter. I ordered, and literally ten minutes later I watched them ponder what to do first. I'm perplexed, it's got good food, but man, unless you want to wait, wait, and wait, move along. We tried on 6/23 after visiting the Wheaton farmers market. Just excellent burgers. Blue Cheese was perfect along with the classic. You could tell the freshness. Also do not pass up the fries. Terrible! Customer service is HORRIBLE!! The cook accidentally put 2 regular fries in my bag when I ordered 2 large. The lady told him 2 large not regular fries. While I was standing there, he put the fries from the regular container into the large container. Didn't add more fries. Then proceeded to pick a couple out of the other container to equal them out! When I approached the cook and said I had ordered two LARGE fries, he told me that I had two large fries because the container was large. Total rip off. They can't even give you what you pay for? On top of that the burger I ordered medium well was bright pink in the middle. I decided to call and ask for a supervisor. The cook who ripped me off behind the counter answered the phone and told me the manager was gone and didn't know when they would be back. I'm embarrassed for them. read more

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. My only discrepancy is that the person that makes your food here is either a hit or miss. I usually come right after work and if Kevin is there I know to stop in. But sometimes there's this shorter gentleman there that's very rude and never even wears gloves.. even after I confronted him about it. The reason I still recommend it is because literally every other time I go, when he is not there, it's a delight. It's in a gas station but it's definitely more than gas station food. My advice? I have been seeing reviews for this place and today some coworkers got it for lunch. They were over the moon about the food they ordered. I brought my son to get some dinner since he loves burgers fries and hot dogs. I ordered a classic burger cooked medium and added bacon jam. We got an order of cheese fries and he got a chocolate shake and a corn dog. It took a while for them to even start the order. I was asked twice if it was to go or to eat here. We were sitting in one of the booths with our coats off. We finally got our order. The cheese comes on the fries (I would order it on the side next time) and they were good and covered, but there was no fork to eat them with. The burger was definitely cooked well (hey it is adjoining a gas station and not a 5 star place so I'll actually cut them a little slack on that). The bacon jam was good but very juicy. More like gravy than jam so the bun got pretty soggy. I ended up getting an additional plain hot dog for my son. They again asked if it was for here or to go. I would be willing to try another burger without the bacon jam but only if I called to order ahead. I hope that they are just having some newish establishment issues and that they will get better with orders. While we were here eating a lady came in and they had her order right but had it for here when she had hers ordered to go. All in all the food is a good value. read more
