Not many choices for food in this terminal. Upon walking up to place an order, the woman behind the counter ignored us for about five minutes as she counted some money. A simple "Hello, I'll be with you in a minute" would have changed the whole experience. When she finally acknowledges us, we get a cold "Can I help you." We order. Tried the chicken avocado club sandwich, and a flat bread. My daughter said the flat bread was good. My sandwich was ok. Lots of avocado, so I appreciated that. I did not eat the bread as it was too dense. The side of chips was really good! Was it the worse airport food I've had? Probably not. Was it one of the worse interactions I've had? Probably. Airport food is very rarely good. Options in airports are rarely good too (except Las Vegas and Quebec that's my personal experience). When I was at my gate this lady was eating a pizza looking thing and I told her it looked so good and she instantly just gave me a part. Wow kindness still exists!!! Urban cave is a sit down place. They don't display prices at the host but I added the pictures of the menu at the bar with prices. The veggie flatbread was delicious and with tax around $17. We only used Urban Crave to get some bottled water to take on the plane with us. As with any airport business, the prices are inflated. But that is now expected. The staff was relatively friendly and the bar area had a cool vibe to it. read more

Richard made me an Irish coffee which was very good (they also have a full bar) , i went with the breakfast baggle with cheddar, ham and tomato which was very tasty and fresh. My youngest didn't want breakfast because it was late morning, so she tried the Caesar salad. It was basic but fine. The thing to be aware of is the drink prices. I ordered a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc and was surprised at how expensive it was. I could have bought 2 bottles for what two glasses cost. My experience here wasn't horrible and it wasn't out of this world. It was just okay. I will give the staff props for being nice and attentive. The moment your food touches the table, so does the check, LOL. I ordered a pizza and cocktail. The pizza was mostly crust with some soft spots with cheese and the fixings. Again, not horrible but not out of this world. My cocktail (it was a special at the time) was heavy on the alcohol side that threw off the citrus flavor. The first thing is that everybody was drinking at 9 am. Is this weird? I think so. Aside from that, the service was good, it was kind of a fun place to sit-- I mean, early morning flirtations are good spectator sports. The sandwich was dry but otherwise fine. Friendly service and chop chop salad was amazing loved the balsamic dressing. Once I sat down at the bar , bartender acknowledged my presences and took my order. I ordered the chop chop salad which contains romaine lettuce, avocado, Craig is, roasted pepitas, blue cheese, garbanzos, smoked turkey, with a titos grapefruit solstice ( I was drawn to the fresh basil and lemon with grapefruit combination. After settling our daughters at the table, my husband walked up to ask for a menu. He was handed a ripped piece of paper, we were told was the "menu". The menu (and I use that term loosely) offered about 4 items, including a margherita flatbread and a pepperoni flatbread. Typical for kids, each one requested a separate pizza, so in the interest of pleasing both my husband politely asked the bartender if it was possible to do half pepperoni half plain. The bartender replied that was too difficult for the kitchen, so I asked if we could just have a side of pepperoni then. He proceeded to roll his eyes and said "sure". Immediately disgusted, I replied, you know what forget it, it's obviously too much trouble. The bartender then asked for our drink order, (4 fountain sodas was all we wanted) but in the middle of my husband speaking- the bartender walked away so my husband stopped speaking. The bartender rolled his eyes back towards my husband and said "I'm still listening". Disrespected more than we should have been, we said forget it, and left, much to the bartender's delight. I then had to explain to my daughters again why their daddy was treated badly. Not because of his own bad behavior or anything he did wrong- but because of his skin. They didn't skimp on the meet. It was loaded! The chips that it came with were pretty good too. Because the sandwich was messy they worked great as little spoons to clean up the scraps left over from the sandwich. The waitress who served me was kind and attentive. I stopped by tonight to get some water. Georgia the bartender handled a big crowd of delayed passengers with respect and efficiency. When a pair of customers started treating her with extreme rudeness, she kindly asked them to treat her respect. They escalated their behavior and she remained calm and continued serving customers. I was very impressed with her professionalism as well as that of her manager on duty who backed up Georgia with professionalism and suggested the customers take their business to a different bar, which they eventually did. For a busy airport bar, this place is a good option. Considering the food options in Gates 1-29 are already pretty low-end, at Urban Crave you will at least encounter extremely friendly staff (who have good memories!), strong drinks, and decent sandwiches/flatbreads. I prefer this over the TexMex spot any day. Can be very crowded, but the staff does their best to accommodate everyone. Lots of friendly fellow travelers as well. read more

Finally a BLT that has bacon! At the price of 8.99 you don't feel totally robbed from an airport restaurant. The portion is good with the option of slaw or chips. The staff seems really friendly, upbeat and busy! Jay was chatting for a few but he never stopped moving! The place is super clean and Jay and Brent were a well oiled machine getting everything taken care of and everyone served. The BLT is all I got but it was delicious and hit the spot after a flight. The alcohol is expensive but there is no way around it, it's an airport. Service was fast and on point. I would recommend this place and if you try the BLT Dog I want to hear about it!
