I enjoy going here to grab dinner for myself and a female friend of mine. She is a bartender, and when she clocks in for work, she can't leave to grab food. She ALWAYS orders the exact same thing...Regular BLAT NO tomato and ranch for her salad. For some reason, I ordered it and when I brought it to her, it had tomatoes. UNSATISFIED!!!!!!!!!!! First time visit so I asked for a recommendation, So-Cal sandwich it was. Great suggestion, it was very, very good. The sandwich came out quickly and it was everything I expected and more. The side salad was tasty. I never felt rushed or pressured to leave, they actually told me to enjoy and take my time. Small space but lots of seating outside to enjoy the California weather. Tried their chicken pesto with side salad and I honestly didn't like it. The sun-dried tomatoes were just too tough for me to chew. They didn't give me a fork to eat with and since I was eating it on the road I wasn't able to enjoy the salad. Also got a chocolate chip cookie and that was pretty warm and delicious! And got their watermelon lemonade which I definitely recommend if you're looking for something to quench your thirst. I've had this gift card for months in my bag; so I finally used it. My only regret is not using it sooner! This place is really good. I got the SoCal sandwich that comes with a side salad and I purchased a chocolate chip cookie (delicious) on the side. My order was to go; so once I got home I thought to myself "that's it?" The sandwich looked small; but it was really filling. I enjoyed the salad first . Then I ate my first half and was starting to fill full. But, since it tasted so good I had a few more bites of the other half. Then I had that cookie:) it was warm, chocolate was melted, it was soft on the inside and crunchy on the edges. They have a small menu, but it doesn't disappoint. I ordered the Tuscan Vegetarian Sandwich with a cup of their tomato soup which was great! It doesn't matter if you get it plain or stacked with some of their fresh meats and veggies...all I know is you want a piece of this soft, perfectly seasoned circle of deliciousness. Aside from the bread, I also love their salads. The Santa Maria BBQ Chicken Salad with Chipotle Ranch Dressing is my absolute fave. Super flavorful with a nice little kick to it, not to mention the portion is huge. I placed an online order today for our office which was super easy. We are trying to support local restaurants that are struggling due to Covid-19. When I got to the restaurant to pick up I was shocked to see a table full of bags that you had to go through to find yours. Some had names and some didn't. I had to go through and touch a few before I found mine. I was also shocked to see people standing around that table full of bags waiting for their food. I love urbane cafe- it's my go to after a gym session if I need a quick pick me up. But today I took an order to go SoCal sandwich that comes with there house salad. Sandwich was a mess looks like it was just thrown together and too much cheese every where. I've noticed they been skimping lately on the ingredients as well. House salad - just romaine lettuce chopped up with a tiny bit of cheese with absolutely no dressing. I can't eat a salad with no dressing, very dry. Romaine lettuce isn't even the right greens for the house salad. The salad usually comes with mixed greens, mandarin oranges, and feta cheese with a balsamic dressing. I came with the intention of getting some type of white person sandwich like rosemary chicken, but I saw a sign out front with "homemade cranberry turkey sandwich" written on it. Mmmm... I love Thanksgiving. Sounds bomb. Done. It might've been the best sandwich I've ever put in my Asian mouth (while sober). The Turkey was juicy, cranberry sauce was on point, soft bread, and the cheese complimented the turkey, cranberry, and bread. It was amazing. The salad hit the spot too.
