Several years ago I had to move and wondered how to find a good moving company. After searching online, I came up with several candidates, and Ursa Moving won the day. I moved with them and things went without a hitch - in fact, it was so easy, that when I had to move again, I just naturally turned to them. Second time around, it was just as smooth, glad I made the same choice. Jake (the manager) is easy to work with, very accessible on the phone, everything is spelled out in the estimate. The movers that showed up both times were very competent and easy to deal with, and knew exactly what to do. They knew to wrap my dresser and tables, and were able to disassemble and reassemble my bed frame so that I didn't have to do it myself (which would have taken twice as long). We recently moved from NorCal to LA and had such an amazing experience with URSA Movers. We were running super late on moving day, and they were so understanding and flexible with our schedule. When we finally got to our new apartment, the building wouldn't let us unload that night -- which could've been a total nightmare -- but URSA came back the very next morning to help us move in. They unloaded our entire one-bedroom apartment in just about an hour, all while being extremely careful with our belongings. Jake and his team were great. He even fixed some of my furniture along the way that was already previously broken! I booked these movers about 2 weeks in advance and they confirmed their availability by the next day. I went with them because their price was the best and when moving, every dollar adds up. They called me about a half hour before arrival. Took a quick walkthrough for inventory to plan their strategy, and loaded up their truck sooooo great. It was like real life Tetris. I wasn't sure that all my stuff would fit but they made it happen. They were considerate, fast, and communicative. Jake and his crew were great. Two guys accomplished my scheduled move on a Wednesday in a fast efficient manner. Unfortunately, through no fault of theirs (mine, actually) my large 2 piece sectional couch was not able to fit through the door to my new place. Ugh! They returned it to my old house no questions asked. After I figured out that it could fit by removing the legs and door frame, I called Jake to explain the situation. He understood, and Jake himself and another fellow showed up on Sunday morning to move this one final piece. All of the guys were polite, professional, and hard working. It is hard to find a good, reasonable moving company. Not anymore. Family-owned. Very nice, good family. Movers are professional, honest. They go above and beyond to take care of your belongings. They are well-prepared with all required equipment, and will even wrap your couches and furniture with blankets and mover's Saran wrap without you even asking, which will surprise many. In the event you do not have enough moving boxes from Home Depot, they allow you to borrow theirs which you simply return once you remove your belongings from the boxes. Highly recommend! Originally they were set to come at 10am but they contacted us and said they would be at our place earlier. They came a little after 8am which was perfect. The movers we had (Alex and I can't remember the other guys name) were polite, communicated well, and worked very, very efficiently. They made sure to wrap/protect some of our valuable items which I appreciated! If you are moving soon I would recommend this company 100%. Rubin and Christian are amazing!! They're on time and so professional! They're carefully move my stuffs, disassembly my bed and reassembly it less than 15 mins. The two Ursa movers did a fantastic job on our move today. They were timely, thorough and flexible when we had a minor adjustment to the plan. They moved a heavy bedroom furniture set up a flight of zigzag stairs at the destination without damaging anything - covering the stair banisters and protecting the walls from scrapes. Ultimately they did an amazing job protecting our furniture and walls on both ends of the move. They arrived with a "proper" moving truck and equipment and were friendly & easy to work with. I had pretty much good experience with these guys, but one thing I didn't like personally, was that truck didn't have enough boxes, you know. Just regular boxes to fit my small miscellaneous stuff you know. So I let them know that I'm not happy about it and gonna mention it in the review. They replied that I haven't warned them about boxes, and I really didn't, but stil thought the company should have a lot of them, you know. Thank you Ursa Moving team for everything you did for us! I called them with three days notice and was quoted a fair price for hour.The movers arrived on time. Booking was so fast and easy. Aldi called me a day before moving date and remind me, texted me 30 mins prior to arrival, got ty my house right at scheduled time. A soon as they got to my house, they got into action right away, didn't waste any second. They even made sure to not scratch the wall when they tried to move big items. Jake and the Ursa movers are amazing. They were on time, efficient, and stuck to our specific needs around covid protocols. We had a couple of difficult pieces and they handled them well - including lowering a welded bedframe 5 stories down from our rooftop! We also had three locations to deal with and Jake coordinated it all with me with ease. After a long day, they even moved two couches for us without complaint.
