The address for this entry is for LAX terminal 1 but it's not the only Urth for the WN hub so I'll just leave this here anyway. It says it's closed Tuesday and Wednesday but that's not the case. What is the case is that there's a guaranteed line if you're there for a morning flight. I passed Urth on my way to check out the gate situation, but walked all the way back to gate 11 from 17 because their pastries look the best. After a ten or twelve minute wait, I walked away with my $5 plain croissant. It's about $4 at a place on the outside so I guess that's a bargain for airport mode. Anyway, pretty good buttery flakiness. I should have let them heat it and it would have been near perfect. Staff is perky and sweet for so early and so many people. read more

Had a pretty bad experience at this airport location. We ordered two drinks (and were told they can't make iced coffee or medium sized iced drinks) and an oatmeal. The first drink came out after a few minutes and was okay. They forgot the second drink, but made it after a reminder. We were told the oatmeal would take ten to fifteen minutes, but it also never came. When we checked it became clear they had never started it. I lovers café in the city. It seems pricier than normal at the airport. Your food is not bad they're coffee is adequate their tea is pretty good and they have a wide variety of snacks and things for you to take. It doesn't seem like they have the same standards as the store in West Hollywood read more

TERRIBLE customer service. I ordered a matcha latte with soy milk. What I got was anything but. Other than looking the right shade of green, it tasted so off - it got a savory taste to it like it's salty. I only had a few sips, less than a fifth of a cup. I walked back to ask if they'd make it. She opened up the lid and said "you drank some already, so I can make you a little bit, unless you want to pay for it again and I can make you another one." REALLY?! If I paid of course I'd get a new one, but that's besides the point. I had already paid, and I didn't get what I paid for. And what's the logic behind making just a little bit? Just so you can give me something that tastes right on top of something that tastes like shit? And the shit costs me $10! No thank you. I tossed that cup right away. Didn't get her name, or I would've left her name here too. She's got long hair down to the waist and was braided. The lesson learned here is - you must have the magical power to tell if the drink tastes right without actually tasting it, or you're stuck with a gross drink because you drank from it. read more

I love all the non-airport Urth cafe locations and years ago I had a good meal at the airport, but I have to agree with the other bad reviews. They don't have decaf at all, and I paid $21 for a water and a breakfast sandwich that was microwaved, greasy, fake eggs, and no better than I could've gotten at a cheaper airport venue. I'm generously giving this place a 2 star rating but it's hard to say they deserve it. The wait was longer than any other place nearby, the staff was not friendly, nor were they rude, and the food is overpriced. We had 2 breakfast burritos and an English tea latte- cost us $38. The burritos were small, bland and didn't have any salsa, nor did they have any to offer. The tea was too sweet for most normal people and there was trash on the floor. This place is very roomy, we use to reserve the banquet area for our book club during the week. The menu is unique with lots of delicious treats and caffeinated & non caffeinated beverages. Nice indoor and out door seating with heat lamps. Service was always great! read more

I had what I would call a terrible experience. I ordered a Spanish latte with pistachio milk. Paid around $7 for a SMALL coffee. It took them 30-minutes to bring it to the table. COLD and it tasted like whole milk. I asked the man who brought them and he was nice and told me that he was gonna call someone to help me. Nobody came. 15 minutes later he came back telling me if I solved it and I told him that nobody came. He said "stand up and go where they make them and ask them because I don't know". Instead of simply taking the coffee and bringing a new one. Have in mind I just tried the coffee once at that point. When he told me that I just decided to just finish it and got sick the rest of the day (I'm lactose intolerant). On top of spending over $80 on two people and getting the wrong thing they still tell me to stand up and figure it out myself. Im giving 2 stars just because the food was great. read more

While the food looked good, they intentionally left costs off the food as well as did not label food, leaving customers guessing what they were ordering or how much it was until they checked out. Worst experience at this location yesterday morning. As I ordered my matcha ice latte I noticed that the barista was not only moving a glacial place while customers were waiting patiently for drinks, but seemingly had a bad attitude and pissed off face. Once I got my drink both husband and I took one sip and almost spit it out. It was pure sugar water and exceedingly sweet. I went back to the counter and asked if they could make it less sweet. The barista gave me a stink eye then snatched my drink and tossed it in the trash without any words to me. I figured she would at least ask me how much sweetness I wanted, but she didn't, so I asked her if she could just put a quarter of the sweetness that she had put in before. That's when she snapped and yelled "what's a quarter? how do I even know what a quarter sweetness is?" I then asked her how much she put in the original drink, and she replied 2 oz., So I asked her to put in .5 oz. while other customers and I exchanged looks of bewilderment as none of us could believe how rude she was. Very sad that 2 ladies would go out of their way to make drinks with the complete opposite of what you ask !idk why anyone would do that if not to be malicious and coming from ill intent ! first my daughter wanted not sweet asking very nicely no sugar please ( for medical reasons) in her iced drink and I asked decaf as I just had heart surgery and can not do caffeine and she got her drink soooo sweet she couldn't even drink it (and I asked again when I was handed my so called 'decaf' cappuccino checking decaf and I was told yes decaf twice ! Located inside Terminal 1 Southwest Airlines at LAX airport. I normally arrive very early for my flights for work so I don't have issues with long lines. Service is reasonable and food is fresh. Prices are higher due to airport location as expected. My favorites here are the Turkey sandwich and the hot green tea americano. I was rushing to my flight but needed a quick bite. I was super excited to see an Urth Cafe at my terminal. I quickly scanned the options and decided on a half tuna sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by the good service as the gentleman behind the counter asked what I wanted from the display case. I like that they offered to toast it as well which really elevated the sandwich. The price was very steep. ($11 for half a sandwich) so knocking one star off for that because that's pretty ridiculous but I have to say it was one of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had. I actually feel bad for the workers here. The long lines and long wait for food is just an indicator they are understaffed. It took about 20 minutes to order food. The cashier kept switching between card and cash register which doesn't make sense because someone who had cash could be the 5th person in line and gets to skip. I get where their thought process is coming from but maybe just stick to the order of the line and not switch between payment types. It was another 20 minutes to wait for my CHICKEN SOUP ($7)and I'm still waiting for my GREEN TEA LATTE WITH BOBA ($5.60). I didn't even mean to kill time before my flight but it took 50 minutes. Just visited before my flight & was greeted at earth by Cindy yelling at everyone in line. She was extremely rude & not friendly at all. They don't accept credit cards, just cash. I remember the deliciously decadent hot chocolate that you used to serve before the pandemic. Came here today to order and tastes totally different. The original I remember was made with a dark coco powder and milk. What I was served today tasted like water and fake marshmallow syrup, yuck. Oh my god, I loved this place!!! Was here in vacay to see my sister and she took me to this local spot! Super packed and busy but the food is great so that makes sense!!! We were able to score a table while the other waited in line and didn't have an issue at all! We ordered the chicken curry sandwich which was to die for and it came with a side salad. This was filling and hit the spot. We also did two medium mugs of coffee with a cookie to top of the meal. Loved the vegan cookie and really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Urth Caffe used to be a super trendy spot in LA but they've gone down hill since. They've always had unnecessarily high prices but at least then the food had flavor. I ordered the $14 Eggs Benedict which was essentially just two lumps of potato with Canadian bacon and poached eggs. Every single part of the meal lacked flavor and the bacon was rubbery. My medium (the smallest medium cup I've seen) vanilla soy latte was just okay and again overpriced. This will definitely be my last time at Urth. read more

We used to go to the Beverly Hills location , always busy but staff could not have been nicer, more helpful and caring. We now live in the South Bay near the Rosecrans location (original). We went there a few times to carry out. The past month we went once and it was fine, the ambiance is great, staff was great. Tonite it was pretty awful. I ordered a small Caesar salad, dress on side and asked the man who was taking my order if the Tuna (stated on menu it was "albacore" was white tuna or dark? He didn't know so I asked a young girl she said "Yes it was white tuna" So I ordered a scoop. My husband has an egg sandwich. We sat down unfortuneately for us the family directly behind us had a baby who began to scream loudly. Not cry but scream so our meal was so uncomfortable. Our food took close to 30 minutes. Once it arrived I saw the Tuna was "DARK' tuna and the Caesar salad was swimming in dressing !!! I told my husband , he said just do the best and we won't come back. I ate some of salad and bread but not the tuna...I was not happy. As a result, (the staff that brings the food they are all so nice an extremely helpful) I asked for the Manager- turns out the Manager was the same person who took the order. He was belligerent...the other employee asked if the repeated my order back to me, never did. He proceeded to say he would only refund the Tuna.
