This spot is located in the Old Town Orange area. I went here on a weekday at around 1:00 pm. It was difficult to find parking at the time; I ended up in public parking lot with a QR code for payment. Once inside, the line was long, so there was a wait before ordering. Once ordered and paid, they gave a number to be placed on the table. Came here with a couple of other folks and was able to grab a table for four. It was a bit limited at the time. For the order, I got the Pistachio Caffe and the Panini El Diablo. The caffe was hot and large; definitely the caffeine kick I needed with the lunch. The latte art is also amazing! For the panini, it was a good balance of cheesy, flavorful chicken, and a good crunch. American Express is accepted here.

I used to live down the street from Urth and would visit frequently for their Blended Green Tea Boba, Mushroom Pizza, and desserts. Since moving, I don't go quite as often. However, whenever I'm near Orange, I try to make my way down for their Blended Green Boba. I went the other day after Disneyland and it totally hit the spot. I went early and was lucky to find a spot right in front. Parking can be a problem if you go during peak hours. Love the ambiance inside. And the service is usually quick and efficient.

Well, I met up with a friend in Orange, Orange County, CA and we got into our heads that we couldn't leave without having Orange Juice, so we headed to Urth Cafe at 9:30pm. To our amazement, they were still serving fresh squeezed orange juice, which was absolutely amazing. Service was friendly and we were able to find a seat with a great view of the circle park, which was still filled with lively activity this late in the evening.

So this is in the city of Orange. Right off the bat, a lot of the spots for parking nearby are pay for a maximum of 2 hours via ParkMobile. It was $4 for 2 hours so not highway robbery but something to consider. Walking in, I immediately loved the setting. It's so open and an absolutely wonderful place to have brunch. It's beautiful but also casual. They have an astounding selection of things to choose from so I think it's actually a great location if you are going with someone and you don't know what they like. They surprised me with the cute fire pit setup they had for some of their seating! I am a sucker for fire pits and I think this would be a great place to chit chat also in the evening. I ordered the French Toast King. It's picturesque to be honest. I got it with the acai sorbet. Honestly I am kind of glad that I got it with the sorbet because the toast itself is a big mattress that needs to soak up some more stuff in my opinion. For how thick the bread is, it might even be one to benefit from a filling? Loved all the berries. I'd say it's not my top French toast but it's not on the bottom. The staff were very nice. They had originally forgotten my sorbet and my matcha hadn't come yet so I let them know and they were sure to get that to me which was great. They are pretty busy so I also would give them some grace too. I love their matcha lattes here. It's an aesthetic treat just to look at and it is also tasty. I got the Green Tea Rose and it has a great balance of rose flavor and it's just so stunning to look at. I think if I were to go back, I'd probably get the waffle like my friend did with the acai sorbet. I have had that at Urth before and I actually think I prefer it over the French toast! But that's just my personal preference. I'd consider coming again if I am in the area.

Moved to Orange recently, love love the Urth Caffe here. Always been a staple great brunch spot. Their pastries are amazinggg, but you definitely have to go in the morning to make sure all the options are there. I appreciate they are very consistent with the drinks & food, so you can always expect your favorites to taste the same. I visited this spot on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite after strolling on the beach. The location is very convenient if you're walking around, however, parking can be tough. The line was out the door throughout the day but they seemed very efficient. You grab a menu at the entrance and stand in line to order before you claim a table. They have a lot of food and beverage options. I ordered the Belgian waffle with the açaí sorbet. The waffle was cooked nicely and the fruit was fresh. The açaí sorbet was placed on top of the waffle which caused the waffle to get soft and soggy pretty quickly especially on a hot summer day. After a while the plate became a melty mess which made it less enjoyable. The water stations are a nice touch, but a couple of them were only filled with ice and the dispensers propped up above a puddle of water. At least one of them seemed to have a leak. They have two restrooms that are available for customers- expect a long wait time. The restrooms need more attention and maintenance especially during high-traffic times. The staff cleaning and clearing the tables were friendly and efficient. They were fast at bussing tables and getting them ready for the next guests. They also swept the outdoor seating area frequently which helped keep the seagulls at bay.

Brunch date on a Sunday morning in Old Town Orange and had a lovely time. The weather was nice and it was amazing to be surrounded by friendly people. I actually moved to the City of Orange in my early 20s during MY college days and IMO at that time, it was truly a retirement town. It was always peaceful where traffic was at a minimal and everyone's bedtime was by 10pm. I recalled being a typical Asian woman driver and always went the wrong direction at the roundabout. Things have changed so much since then. My own son has already graduated from college and now accompanies me going to that same roundabout, except now there's a lot more nicer restaurants and bars. We made our way to Urth Cafe and it wasn't as busy as I had expected, especially when compared to the locations in L.A. and Pasadena. I personally think this is my favorite location so far because it actually feels cozier (my son said the same about the cozy vibe). We both ordered an Omelette - mine was a Pesto Chicken with cheese. I actually requested to not have Goat cheese on mine but it came with it - so that was as why I had to remove 1 star out of 5 :( My Chicken soup tasted marvelous and my Latte was beautifully crafted. It was a great Sunday and I was so glad my son also had a great time!

My boyfriend and I decided to visit Urth Caffe because we haven't been in a while. We ordered a few different food items and drinks as well. There was indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit outside because it was a nice day Food Avocado toast: 5/10 The overall flavor profile was bland, but it was a good portion Breakfast burrito: 8/10 The burrito had a lot of flavor, the sauce was good and the portion size was perfect Nutella Bun: 7/10 this was really good, but I wish it was warmed up a little more to make it softer Drink Iced Spanish Latte: 2/10 The latte tasted like milk with a hint of flavor. I'm a big fan of Urth Caffé--the food is consistently good, and the overall vibe is amazing. The location at the Orange Circle is one of my favorites. Sitting outside and watching people pass by gives it such a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during busy times, but there are paid parking options nearby now, which definitely helps. Just be prepared for a long line when ordering--it can get pretty crowded--but honestly, the experience and quality make it worth it.

I frequent this location often and have always genuinely enjoyed the food, and the staff has typically been friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday, 8/17/26, was very different. I'm leaving this review not to get anyone in trouble, but because I genuinely hope management takes the feedback seriously and makes the necessary corrections so this remains a place customers actually want to return to. Around 1:00 p.m., we were at the registers when there was an issue with one of the cash registers, which understandably caused some confusion. One employee told me, "I can take you," only to find out that she couldn't, and I ultimately had to move to the other register. I was hoping to order breakfast. By the time I reached the register, it had just turned 1:01 p.m. The employee told me, with a sarcastic smirk, that breakfast had ended at 1:00. I understand that restaurants have set hours and policies, but given that it had literally been one minute past the cutoff, I expected at least an attempt to provide good customer service--such as offering to check with the manager on duty. Instead, I had to ask her to ask the manager myself. What was most disappointing, however, was the overall attitude. The two ladies working at the registers, were talking to each other as though they were not on the clock, while two customers were standing at the register waiting to order. The interaction came across as dismissive, rude, and lacking even basic customer service. If you don't want to interact with customers with professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude, then unfortunately, you may be in the wrong industry. Even my fiancé, who is extremely easygoing and rarely gets bothered by these things, was taken aback by the dismissive and entitled behavior we experienced. Again, this review is not about getting anyone in trouble. It's about accountability and improvement. We frequent this location because we enjoy it, and we want to continue supporting it. But customer service matters just as much as the food. I hope management addresses what happened so that other loyal customers don't walk away feeling disrespected or unwelcome. Also, the bathrooms were an absolute mess, toilet paper on floor, not in its holder. There were no toilet seat covers, no paper towels, ect. as shown in photos below.

There was a long line and it was a bit of a wait for my drink order to be ready. I ordered the Thai Red Tea Boba - blended. It was too bland in my opinion. The boba had a good chewiness consistency.

I came back and got a sprout sandwich again. Thank you for the fresh sandwich. Staff was pleasant and service was good. Also like the green juice. Will come back.

Always yummy and unique food and ALWAYS packed. Urth is a fun, unique and cute experience whenever you go but just be prepared for long lines, trying to snatch up a table, and sometimes a decent wait to get your food. The ambience is trendy, almost like a foreign cafe, and always bustling and lively/noisy. Just depends on what you're willing to deal with that day. read more

So excited they finally opened! Beautiful new location and plenty of parking on the street and in the city lot behind. Menu is the same delicious food as you expect plus I hear they serve alcohol at night. Be sure to allot some extra time to visit the neighborhood and enjoy the local antique shops aplenty! read more

Ordered pick up! The staff is the nicest. The food is amazing like usual. The spanish latte is great! I always get the Grilled Cilantro Chicken Breast with Pesto sandwich! To be honest, there isn't anything spectacular about this place. The food isn't bad. The last time I was here, I shared their Breakfast Burrito and Green Tea Pancakes. I've had better breakfast burritos for sure, but the pancakes did have a nice matcha flavor. Their coffee drinks are their best items in my opinion. Their Spanish Latte is delicious, either hot or blended! But overall, since their price point is higher and their location is further to me, I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. read more

Since my last post, the online ordering is improving. The staff review the order with you prior to it going out and it appears to be more on-time than earlier in the year. I've also begun calling to ensure the order is ready/prepared prior to going to pick it up. This place is super-busy a lot of the time. This is the one of many terrible experiences I've had at this restaurant. My boyfriend waited in a 15 minute line to order an oatmeal and then continued to wait about 45 minutes to get the oatmeal after ordering. After going up and checking if the order was ready after about 20 minutes, the employees were simply ignoring him and it was like pulling teeth to talk to someone. The one redeeming quality about it was that the oatmeal was hot once it did get here. Overall, the food is simply mediocre and the customer service isn't great. Left very unhappy. read more

Mediocre food and lackluster service. That about sums up my recent experience with The Urth Caffe. My wife, a friend and I dropped in on a Sunday night for an early dinner. Upon perusing the menu the Panini Prosciutto di Parma sandwich caught my eye and I decided to give it a try...about ten minutes after ordering a server came out to the back patio where our group was seated to inform me that they were out of prosciutto and asked if I would like to order something else. I requested a menu (as this was my first visit and I am not familiar with the cafe's offerings) which was dropped off five minutes later. I ultimately selected the Panini Roasted Turkey sandwich which turned out to be a total disappointment. Panera Bread makes a better Panini sandwich and for less money. The accompanying salad was plain with little dressing. The only highlight was the Coconut Custard Pie which earned this review two stars instead of one. One final note: It took us asking three different staff members to light a patio heater on a brisk night! Doubtful I'll come here again. read more

**REVIEW BASED ON THE PRE COVID 19 EXPERIENCE** My sister loves URTH CAFFE and when she realized that there is one that in OC, she told me that I have to check it out. Came here with a friend on Saturday morning, line was literally out the door. It was easy to find, Google Map took us right to the location. It has street parking as well as there is a parking lot behind the place. We had plans later so we ended up grabbing coffee from there. I loved the whole vibe of the place and the decor. It was packed with people working on their laptops, meeting for coffee or having brunch with family and friends. Food from the menu looked good and I will have to come back to try that out one day. On that day I got iced honey vanilla latte and it was delicious! read more

Hours are advertised on Yelp to close at 11pm on a Tuesday night. I arrived at 1030pm to "sorry we're closed". Recommendation for management - Post hours that are in force on your yelp page. Not being consistent with your posted hours creates a bit of a headache for people making decisions based on your advertised information to drive out to your location only to find a contradiction. read more

Hey, Urth Caffe! Did you run out of chicken tonight? Because I sure had a hard time finding any on my grilled chicken pesto sandwich. It was more of a lettuce sandwich with a wee bit of chicken as a condiment or maybe an afterthought. The very thin piece of chicken was much smaller than the roll so the protein to bread ratio was way off and no discernible grill marks or grill taste, either. The pesto had a good flavor. The salad that came with was delicious but eating a good sized salad with a lettuce sandwich did not offer enough variety for me. The butternut squash soup was tasty but barely warm. The "New Yorker" Reuben sandwich looked a bit skimpy for the price and was reportedly dry. My friend's boba tea came when we were almost finished eating. Not sure why it would take longer to pour tea than make some sandwiches. read more

Arrived at 4 pm. Not crowded but counted 11 dirty tables. This place isn't exactly cheap so it would be nice if they were a bit more on top of things. Snarky hipster kids who seem angry to have jobs work here. We asked for a specific table near the window to be bussed and 10 minutes later some miserable employee with an attitude showed up only to clean off 3 of the 11 dirty tables and never got to the one we wanted to sit at. Rest of the tables stayed dirty for the entire hour we were there. Food's great but probably won't be back. read more

I went to eat with a close friend of mine and let me tell you I would never go back. There was a chunky bearded guy and an older Hispanic man staring and making inappropriate sexual comments in Spanish. My favorite will always be the vegan panini portabella. The only downside is that bread is too buttery, crunchy, & dry for me, so it doesn't make it worth the money to eat it later on when it's fresh. read more

Went to Urth For a latte and cheesecake. The latte took so long that we had to go back to the counter twice to ask the employees what happened to our order. They said that they ran ran out of oatmilk for one of the lattes, but nobody ever came to the table to let us know so they just didn't make anything. So after waiting for almost half an hour, we had to go back again because they didn't bring the desert And the manager said they Sold our cheesecake And had no more. So my boyfriend asked them to just bring anything. That took another 10 or 15 minutes Before that came. The manager finally came back with the crappy us dessert option. By that time we were done with the lattes an just left. This was not the first bad experience I've had at earth cafe but it is my last. Too bad because the lattes are good if you ever get one. read more

It always feels great to walk into Urth. It's like an oasis in any city where you find it. My favorite location is Pasadena. I absolutely love the salmon salad and the green tea boba with almond milk. The pizzas are good but a dry if you order the vegan cheese. read more

Not much to criticize here Love coming to this particular Urth Caffe due to its location and just the overall vibe of the place. Coffee in a French Press and a pastry are my go-to's here. The biscotti is good, probably big enough to share and also the croissants. If anything, when ordering an Espresso shot, let them know you want it as soon as it's poured. Typically they let it sit out so by the time it arrives to your table there's no crema! read more

This place's food is amazing! Their drinks are so good too! I got the Japanese matcha latte, yum!! One thing I wasn't a fan of this time was their pork on the pizza, tasted kind of fatty so I wasn't able to eat that. Overall great food! Will go again. The site in Orange is a lot better because you can sit outside AND inside. Inside seating is at a good amount too! read more

I've been to Urth before and it wasn't great. Twice we got food to go and it wasn't good. Gave it one last shot on Fathers Day (not sure why) and it was HORRIBLE! 1. Girl who took my order was not friendly or patient. 2. We sat... waited about 10 minutes for our food (great considering it was getting busy) 3. Food was HORRIBLE. Canyon Benedicts egg was overcooked. Salmon smelled Fishy (its not supposed to smell fishy or feel sticky). The hash brown was super thin and burned. I ended up eating some of the arugula strawberry salad it came with... I left the rest. 4. asked twice about our coffee, which in my opinion should have come out before the food. we ended up getting the French press once we were done "eating". so disappointing. 5. Their take on "tiramisu" was nasty. It's a thin chocolate cake base with coffee flavored whipped? I'm confused. Bread pudding had absolutely no taste. This review is not only based on a busy Fathers Day. This 1 star is based on a few visits. This visit just pushed me to write a review. read more

Came into this spot to check it out and meet up with an old friend. I personally like the location in Laguna a lot better. This location was crowded and food took a while to make it out and also ordered some of their specialty drinks with the food and those didn't arrive until about 5 minutes after the food did. Then when we did get the food, my girlfriends food had a hair in it, so we sent it back and waited another 20 minutes for the food to be remade so we ended up just asking for it to go! Overall the food wasn't terrible and it probably was just a bad experience. So I will give it another shot or maybe just stick to the Laguna location. read more

Food here is one notch above an office cafeteria. Options on the menu are great, but pricey for what you get. I ordered the signature salad and added grilled chicken for $20. Chicken was fresh and grilled, however it lacked the bread it was to come with and was 98% lettuce. 2 kalamata olives, 1 green olive, about 1/4 teaspoon of feta, a small sprinkle of chick peas. today was my first time coming to this restuarant and I loved it, not only was the food great but the stuff was very friendly n attentive. we went in for lunch n it was pretty busy when we got there but the manger n the employees still managed to check up on us to see how we were doing which I liked. Stumbled across this restaurant today after going to the flea market. Wow we were so impressed! Lots of incredible choices, organic, gluten free options! The restaurant was bustling wIth people yet we moved through the line quickly. Lots of places to sit and eat. Prices were in line with other restaurants. My husband had French toast and I had pancakes, we loved them both. After walking around the antique stores for a few hours we went back and got a boba matcha drink, another win. Told the general manager we had been there twIce in one day, super nice guy, he ended up giving us two coupons for future drinks. We loved the atmosphere and the food! Out of all the Urth Caffé's in the world, this one has the best service by far. Not one, but three people said welcome, they had an employee with an iPad to move the line along. Our food was delivered fast, hot and fresh. There is a parking structure one block away so you don't have to stress on parallel parking incase that's not a god given talent you posses. read more

I was a huge fan of Urth Caffe... the one in DTLA has always been my go to. I've given the orange location a few tries now but have yet to enjoy myself here. I went this morning and ordered a Thai tea latte- it was so watered down I switched it for a different drink because it tasted nothing like Thai tea. My second drink was a matcha latte and it started off ok but when I got home my stomach started to hurt. It hurt so much that I ended up throwing up some of the drink. I'm thinking maybe their matcha has milk powder in it or it's a sugar blend with some matcha powder. Their drinks are either watery or are all sugar. I simply can't come back here or recommend it to anyone. I only gave them 2 stars because they did switch my drink out. But I had to write a bad review because it made me sick. read more

No trip to the LA area is complete without going to Urth Caffe. One of the best places around for brunch and fantastic location in the town square or Orange, CA. A gem of a town and the building in which Urth is located looks historic. Such a nice surprise and great laid back experience is bustling OC. As I'm writing this, I'm a little bit stoned and a lotta bit drunk on my day. Today was my second visit to Urth Cafe. First time, I had the stuffed French Toast and the Spanish Latte and both were amazing! The ambience is warm and extremely inviting. The service was quick and courteous- simply put, it is exactly what you would want. But today, I got the Pizza El Diablo and upon first bite, I knew this was gonna be an experience. Good food, should be just like good sex. A space in time where you find yourself and lose yourself at the same time. Where you want to devour what's in front of you. But only after you pause to appreciate it. This pizza tasted almost as good as my girl looks. I recently visited Earth Café in Orange County for the second time, and while the café itself has a lovely and inviting atmosphere, my experience this time was a bit mixed. The environment is great for chatting with friends or family, and we even enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake that was definitely the highlight of the visit. However, during this visit with my daughter, we noticed a few drawbacks. My daughter had the French toast, which was really good, and I tried the breakfast burrito with guacamole and beans. While the food was still tasty, it wasn't exactly what I had expected, and the service was not as welcoming as before. Disappointed by the Service at Urth Caffé I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to Urth Caffé was frustrating enough to warrant one. I ordered a cold brew coffee and waited over 30 minutes without any update. When I finally approached the counter to ask about my order, I was met with dismissive and rude responses from the staff. There was no apology, and no urgency to resolve the issue. For a place that prides itself on quality and ambiance, the customer service was shockingly poor. Waiting half an hour for a simple coffee and being treated with attitude when asking about it is unacceptable. But the ordering process, utilization of tools (Saturday night only using two registers when they have up to at least four available) and food value is terrible. I ordered a quesadilla (Vegan), the kale salad (which was overly acidic - no counter citrus or sweet ingredients) and the tostada that fit into a cupcake box to go for $45. No beverage or dessert. I have been to Urth 3 times in the past week @ the Orange circle location with my adult daughter as we truly enjoy their coffee and Avacado toast. However, their employee Jack A is extremely rude and condescending! Sadly both times that he took our orders he continued to be annoyed if he had to answer any questions regarding the menu. He stated this is not Starbucks! We weren't comparing companies! We had asked to talk to the Manager however he was on his break and not available. So let's do a critical review of the "stress test" which cost us $23.81 for two people. The person at the podium in front took our name and my cell number to text us when ready. The line for ordering was out the door but the system paged us and said "your table is ready" so we waited in line outside the front door for 10 minutes and finally transitioned to the inside line which took another 10 minutes to order. I would say that the timing of when the system texts you needs some work. We ordered a Classic Breakfast with CRISPY bacon, home potatoes, multi-grain toast, a side of pork sausage and a cappuccino. The enclosed receipt does not accurately reflect what we ordered. The bacon was floppy and not fully cooked. The home potatoes were not done and soggy. The sausage was dry and tasted old. The cappuccino was perfect. So I would say that this Poached Kitchen location, compared to our prior experience of things done perfectly, failed the "stress test" - when tables and lines were full, it could not deliver it's normal well-prepared meals. They also failed to check back at the table which is a standard service item they have observed for many months. Of course new people still in training can account for alot of this kind of experience. We detected new people we had not seen before. We generally consider management accountable for ensuring that new employees are properly trained. We have not seen the food preparation break down before. This was a first but then we've never seen this many people lined up waiting for tables. Of course all kinds of things go on simultaneously that stress the system.... to go orders from online sources, people trying to box their leftovers, etc. Poached has a whole team of people who just worry about clearing tables, setting up tables with water, etc. This of course allows higher turnover and better utilization along with better customer service. Our takeaway today is: don't come to poached kitchen when it's packed....come earlier before 8am. and notice they serve lunch as well.
