I just got off the phone with Alfredo. I explained the circumstances, and rather than attempting to help he simply argued why the postal service had sent my documents to an incorrect address (in an entirely different state and zip code). He didnt want to follow up. Asked why I had incorrectly mailed the documents, and said that a claim would do me no good. I surely hope all of your employees dont treat customers with such a disdainful, condescending tone rather than try to get down to fact and work through this situation. The Agoura Hills Post Office steals money out of envelopes! Don't ever slip a $20 bill in a birthday card because the Agoura Hills postal employees slit all of the envelopes and steal any money they find! read more

Wes is the greatest! He's friendly and really tries to help. Unfortunately, like many Post Offices, the lines are a bit slow, and some people are not as helpful. read more

JT was the rudest most unprofessional customer service representative I have ever had the misfortune of encountering! He should in no way being working for the United States post office or any customer service related field. I will never again use the Agoura Hills post office due to his unprofessional behavior! Service here is very slow. There is only one person at the counter and the wait is dreadful. The lonely attendant is very nice and has been there for years. He is patient and very friendly otherwise I'd give 1 star. read more

All the people at the front desk are great. Helpful friendly and always nice. However; You have to watch the people that deliver the mail. I sent a mailer to thousands of residences and received a call from someone who found a bundle of my mailers that had obviously not been delivered. When I went in to work it out I got nothing, no help, no reimbursed funds. They didn't offer anything and wanted me to jump through hoops to even help. Generally has one cashier, even during rush times. And that guy is a bit too friendly...his chatting slows things further. It's still better than the Thousand Oaks post office. read more

Postal employees here are definitely better than average for SoCal. Lines are about average it seems. Not sure why everyone hates on USPS. Try paying fedex prices or pay a bit more at postal annex to avoid the lines(sometimes) for issues they can handle. As far as i can tell USPS is one of the few useful things the Fed Gov does and they seem to get little funding. But again if you disagree try fedex ha. read more

our mail keeps arriving later and later every day. we used to get our mail by 11.30 daily, now its impossible, we've left notes and we're being ignored. We are a business and time is of the essence in being paid and thus turning around and sending balances late, incurs costs on our clients and that's unfair. If this mail carrier is not capable, they should hire people who are. Our tax dollars and the costs of mailings keeps going up and their service keeps going down. read more

Really impressed with this Post Office. I will travel an extra few miles to Agoura, then going to Thousand Oaks or Camarillo Post Offices. The clerks at Agoura are very knowledgable, and friendly. They have a self service machine that is available 24/7 and their packing supplies are always well stocked. They even sell greeting cards. It's located in an industrial area, so it's probably not well known by the locals, which is good for me. read more

I went there before work since I knew they closed at 5:30 and I wouldn't be able to make it after... only to discover they also don't open till 10! Wth? Don't they know most people are at work between 10-5:30?! And lucky me I live in a condo so half my mail gets sent here if it doesn't fit in my box... so I have to go on a Saturday, IF I have the day off. Otherwise I'm screwed. Once I got a pink notice to pick up a parcel and it didn't have a number on it, when I got to the PO they couldn't find any package for me. Yet another sign of the declining infrastructure of the US Postal Service. This place is understaffed. Big line of people. If this was a private sector company competing with other businesses (rather than the only game in town) they would go out of business because people would get fed up with waiting so long in line. Supermarkets open up another register when lines get too long. The US Postal Service just doesn't care. It also seemed like they turned down the air conditioning thermostat to save money! I'll give them 2 stars for having a big empty parking lot and at least one employee who was sensible, expedient and knew his job. read more

The employees at this post office are hands down the nicest post office-employees that I've ever encountered in my entire life in any state. Yes, the lines will always be long and slow at any post office BUT they do their best to get you out quick and are nice while doing it. went into the post office, there was no one in line but i still had to wait. Finally a woman decided to help me, she could not find my package in the back so she asked for my tracking number. Then she disappeared... Luckily another woman helped me and guess what.... when she went in the back my package was there.... My typical mail person is on vacation (Walter - and he is the best). His temporary replacement is the worst. That person has not delivered mail all week. No notice, nothing. Stopped by the post office and after some delay the counter person informed me that a car was parked in front of the mail box (as is typical in our neighborhood and at times my house), but, it has never in 30 years been an issue. Just goes to show the laziness of some government workers (Walter not included). Getting out of a delivery truck to walk four feet is too much for them, as was leaving a written notice. Totally lacking in a customer service attitude, and from what I can tell, professional pride in a job well done. Tried to get the name of the replacement, without success. I drove the neighborhood as saw at least a dozen other locations where a car was parked in front of a mail box. Wonder if they got by passed too. read more

Placed a mail hold online 10/23 to be in effect 10/25 through 11/7. Received mail hold confirmation. Mail hold was ignored by carrier who let mail pile up in my mailbox for over a week and left two postcards telling me to remove the mail from my box. Would have been a neat trick since I was a 14 hour plane ride away. Mail was finally removed by carrier on 11/3 and taken to Post Office - 4 days before the scheduled hold was to end. Ridiculous excuse offered by my regular carrier for the screw up: he was on vacation and a substitute was covering his route. I don't care who covered the route while I was gone. What difference does it make anyway? A simple mail hold should be no big deal, but at the Agoura Hills P.O. competence is apparently too much to ask. And, yes, service there is S L O W. Clerks chat it up with customers while long lines of people who'd rather be elsewhere cool their heels. Avoid if you can, but if you must conduct business here, lower your expectations upon entering and prepare to be disappointed anyway. read more

This is the best post office, and of course I am speaking about the employees. We all know, we all hate the US post office workers, but these guys always have a smile on their face, always explain what the best options are, and ..shocker: they do their best to provide excellent customer service, even if they work for the government. Because, all the other ones I have tried, especially Santa Monica 9where I live) seem to have gotten that job just to fit some quota, and they behave like nasty criminals because they know they can't lose their job.
