I got a call from this place and they started yelling at me accusing me of yelling at them... Context to the story. I called to get a gel manicure and I think I may have gone to a different place. When I went to the different place my nails were so bad I called and asked for a refund. I did not yell, I simply stated that I was not satisfied and that if I could come show them and get a refund. I was already embarrassed for even having to ask for a refund so I made sure I was extra nice. This was my mistake for having a confusion with calling the wrong nail place. UT Nails is always my go-to spot for mani/pedi. I go to Mimi every time and she is wonderful. I am always so indecisive on what color or shape to get and she never fails to amaze me. I even bite my nails short sometimes which is tricky to get acrylics on, but she always does no matter the condition I come in with! I usually do a full Gel set with manicure & pedicure. The price is fair.. around $ 50-60 for a gel, color & manicure. Alex, the manager, is also great. She is so funny to chat with about life and I am always smiling around her! She also does amazing nails, actually the fastest I have ever seen anyone do them. If you call, Alex will most likely pick up and get you in asap. Do not go here. I got a pedicure on Sunday to prepare for my birthday this week (no pain in my toes no In grown toe nails). A couple hours after and then that night I notice my toe starts to hurt and swell up. Monday I call my doctor and I have an infection from the pedicure. I took care of that and wanted to go in celebrating my bday. I call today to let them know I got an infection and the lady is arguing with me on the phone saying they I have to come in today or tomorrow and I tried explaining to her I have to work and she is just talking over me. Came here on my day off, I really needed to get a full set and a pedicure. Called in earlier to set up a appointment for 1pm. Came in and was greeted and got seated for my pedicure right away. Once they started on my pedicure, Tom, who was my nail tech came and started working on my set. I showed him a picture of how I wanted the design for my nails and he told me I would need powder instead of gel for the design. I wanted a light pink base with white marble design on all nails and that's exactly what I got. Honestly, wow. I was very happy with my nails! Tom really took his time to perfect the shape, and was gentle with me. He got the design down and it looked just like the picture I showed him. I was really happy with both the pedicure and full set. Everyone here is really nice, and Alex greeted me as she came in which was sweet of her. She truly does know her customers and makes them feel welcome. Awesome vibe. I most definitely recommend coming here. They have a lot of nail polish colors to choose from, and they do all of the designs here. This place is really big too and clean. Won't be coming back... Went to get a new set of acrylics because of all the great reviews. Was charged $55 for the set plus $13 for a chrome color ($68 total). 4 of my nails already started lifting at 2 weeks! Pretty disappointed in the set overall (stiletto shape is a bit wonky, color already chipping after the first few days). Unfortunately, I would not recommend this salon to someone who has acrylics or wants to get a new set. read more

She was nice, friendly clean and gave good Convo while getting my nails done. I normally get acrylic nails with gel but decided to get a gel manicure and remain natural for now... After she did my 2 nail repairs, and fill I let her know that I would like coffin shaped nails and she tells me it's $3 for shaping. This is clearly something I would not have known so I asked "Why am I paying for shaping ? Also, Why is there a charge for shaping exactly ??" She gets frustrated with me and starts speaking in their language to another nail tech behind me and puts her hand on her head in more frustration. So then the other nail tech who was behind me, who spoke better english proceeds to handle the situation and tell me that's how they've always done their services. I let her know that I will not be paying for the shaping and I'll leave due to how I felt after that whole situation with me letting my nail tech know I wanted to have coffin shaped nails. When I get home, I look at their brochure that I took after my first time of being there and no where does it say their establishment charges for $3 for shaping. This NEW REVIEW is not at all about money it's the principle and how I was treated during my visit. This place was beautiful. Loved the decorations. But I don't think I'll go back again. I had gotten a gel mani and pedi. When the nail lady asked me what shaped I wanted I said round and she gave me square. And on top of that some of my nails were cut uneven. Then I was going to tip I asked for changed two $5 and a $10. Instead she gave me two $5 and ten $1 like. Wtf. And then instead of giving me all my $20 change she just kept $10 and gave me $10. No one. And I mean no one will take my money and assume that's how much in tip they get. I feel like it was just a little rude. That that's what she just automatically expected was a $10 Update: So I was planning on going back to give them a second try. But it's only been a couple of days and my nail completely chipped. I went in for a mani and pedi, they started off with a pedi which the older lady that works there started for me. I wanted one of their glitter colors(blue/black/silver color) however, when she put the color it was very cakey, she went to go diluted but still wasn't good. She ended up putting multiple coats on which made it look worse. There was a huge language barrier she didn't understand me and so the man on the counter came over and explained to her. She was not happy with what I said and she tried to say that I said it was ok, I did not and I told the man this. After that I just chose a simple gray sparkle which would be hard to mess up. After my pedi the man switched nail techs and I had to wait longer to get a mani. The new tech that worked on my hands was better and she did a good job on my nails. But the whole experience made me feel like they were just trying to rush me out after I spoke up and said something. Not cool. read more

I used to go here all the time, and I was usually satisfied with my result. However, I noticed every time I got a specific lady, she would try her best to scam me. Today, it went overboard, so I wanted to share. She began as I was getting a no chip fill, when she told me my powder was 'too old' and I needed a new set. However, I had just gotten a new set 2 weeks ago, and told her that. She said 'mmm I don't think so.' Rude comment, but I brushed it off. When she was finished with my fill, she told me it would be a 20 dollar up charge for her 'switching the shape of my nails, and fixing 2 broken nails.' This is true, as I did have two broken nails, but she DID NOT change the shape. I have always had coffin shape, my entire life. I expressed this to the guy charging me, and she came over and started yelling at me saying she did change my shape. I softly said, 'no, I have always had coffin nails.' She continued yelling, saying that she cut them down and changed the shape (which she did not do). I ultimately just told the guy to charge my card the 70 dollars for a fill, did not leave a tip, and left. I will not be returning. read more

Amazing is right! I had Lee for my gel manicure and gel pedicure. He is incredible. I chose the $47 pedicure which included a clay mask, callous treatment, and I believe a salt scrub. It was the best pedicure I have ever gotten. I almost felt asleep because it was so relaxing! I will definitely be back and ask for Lee next time. Also, they are taking a lot of precautions to ensure the safety of their customers and their employees! They temperature check and give you sanitizer as you enter. They're good here, however it's such a huge spot with many workers that you don't get to know your nail tech on a personal basis. The workers are nice, but it's obvious they're there just to do their job- not to make sure you're completely obsessed with their work. Don't mean to be asking for too much, but I love my normal nail tech (different nail salon) because she will memorize your name and make sure your set is SO nice she'll take a picture for their Facebook. I just feel like every nail tech should have that type of relationship with their clients to have them look forward to coming back. I love the range of colors they have though. The atmosphere is great and I'm in love with the setup of the store from the cute little seats to the nice dangling lights. The prices are very affordable and they have a 10% off discount for students on (I think) Tuesdays! But at the same time there's also places that are cheaper and a bit better... I wanted to love this place, but I only went here because the nail salon I normally go to is closed on Mondays and that was my day off. Boo hoo. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon with no appointment for a SNS mani & a pedi. I was greeted right away and asked to sit and pick a color. I didn't wait more than five minutes before getting in a chair. Vicki was so patient with my indecisive self. For the life of me I couldn't pick what color I wanted. At one point I tried to switch from SNS to a regular gel with a marble design that I saw on their Yelp page. The manager let me know the person who can do design was busy and Vicki could help me with regular nails only. I usually don't get design anyways, so I took it as a sign. My mani ended up perfect. I came to this nail shop because of the YELP reviews and it was close to my daughter school and meeting. I sat down in the chair at 915am this morning and ask if i would be done before 1030am. Unfortunately i knew in my gut this process would take longer than expected because they paired me with a newer nail Technician. I was done at 1045am so i was late to my work meeting and my nails are crooked. I didnt leave a tip and im so unsatisfied with my experience. Word of advice for the owner: please have your technicians be more realistic about time and the quality of work. Was on a time crunch and decided to pop into Amazing Nails and Spa for a quick gel manicure. I was greeted by Tara, she let me choose a color really quick and got me straight into a chair. She was so gentle with my hands when I told her I wore acrylics for so long and needed to let my fingers breathe. She also was super sweet and we had nice conversations about our backgrounds and what foods we like!
