Wouldn't take my jewelry anywhere else! The diamond on my engagement ring kept coming loose, after I had just gotten it a few months prior. I took it to a different place, and they just bent and distorted the setting to keep the diamond in place. I was so disappointed. It came loose again, and I tried out this place. They fixed the bent setting and told me that a more permanent solution would be to get a more stable setting made. They gave me a quote, but they weren't pushy about it at all. They seemed really knowledgeable and professional. We decided to go ahead and do it, and asked if they could repurpose the old band into a wedding band. They did that free of charge! Dropped in for a watch battery replacement. They could only do one of my watches and the other needed to be sent out to their watch maker. The one done in house took under 5 minutes at $8. When here on 26/01/19 first time in they had alot of people so my Fiance and I decide to walk around the mall and come back. After some time past we come back to look at the wedding rings. One of the woman working there gives a hi as if we bothered her and the other two were to busy on their phones to even care that we walked in. So we so a few rings that we liked, but apparently no one wanted to help us. Their phones were more important then a sale. Would I go back here for a third go around I dont think so. We went to two different jewelry stores in the area to have a link removed from a watch. Both stores told us it would be at least $20 and take up to three days to have a link removed! We were driving by Valentine's and decided to stop in to see what they could do. Not only did they remove the link right at that moment, but they also did it for no charge. I came here in hopes to find a jeweler that would reset my ring without charging me the price of the ring and I found it. Mark was seriously so helpful and basically me told me anything was possible and within a reasonable price. (unlike other jewelers *ahem* LITTMANS and MICHAELS who wanted to charge me 2k just to reset it). My main issue was that the setting of my ring was ridiculously high so I wanted a very similar ring, with a lower setting and smaller diamonds going down the sides to make it look more petite as I have very small hands. He did exactly that and I freaking love my ring now. As for the bigger diamonds that he removed and replaced with smaller diamonds- he used those to make my wedding band. So I got two beautiful rings for $1500. And to top it off- I had to come back and ask if they could resize my rings bc they were a bit big and they did it in a half hour! We then proceeded to buy both our wedding bands there and to my surprise my husband bought my Movado watch there for our wedding day gift. Brought my pearl ring surrounded by diamonds to Valentines. It needed to be cleaned and one of my small diamonds had fallen out. When I got my ring back, the pearl looked unpolished and had minor scratches that weren't on it before. I told them this and they denied doing the damage. So glad I found this place! I wanted to move my diamond from my original engagement ring to a new setting. Most places I tried either wanted an exorbitant amount of money to reset ($200+) and even more to appraise (up to $400!), or they turned their noses down because neither setting was purchased with them. Valentine's Diamond Center did neither! I walked in and an hour and a half later left wearing my new ring set with my diamond. I only paid $30 to set the diamond, and $75 for the appraisal! I went into Valentine's about a month ago to inquire about having my 25 year old engagement and wedding band reset. Marc and another sales associate showed me the many options available in the cases. It became clear what I was interested in would have to be custom made. Within a week I received a CAD drawing and pricing. Three weeks later I received the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. People actually stop me to look at it. I have always gone to them for repairs and new jewelry but didn't realize they could do such custom work. I had a loose diamond in my engagement ring and brought it here to be repaired. After examining my ring, they told me it was fine, nothing was loose. They did a rhodium dip and sent me on my way. I thought I was crazy, I know I saw my fiance wiggle one of the diamonds. These people are supposed to be professionals after all, so why would they lie? Do they not want my money? So I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion from two different Jewelers, and come to find out....3 diamonds were loose! So these people at Valentine's are either incompetent or liars.
