A beautiful bakery hidden within seafood city. Love both places. This amazing bakery is like a childhood memory for my wife from Mindanao and Cebu. It feels like being back home. Service is island friendly and the taste is as good as it looks. I tried a few can't remember exactly the names but all were so delicious. Ah pimento cheese pan de sal. A senorita? Ube delicacies mmm

Got a craving for their Cheese Pimento I had to come here from San Francisco. The cashier was so helpful and knowledgeable. The store is small but well stocked with goodies. I do not mind the commute. I recommend this store

I didn't know about this location! I was at the Jollibee on the other side and my mom mentioned there is a Valerio's here. Of course I had to go check it out. I had just visited the union city location a few days ago and was sad they didn't have empanadas. As soon as I walked in, they were shouting that they have fresh chicken empanadas!! I got 4 and I believe they were $3.15 each. I can't remember but it was $12 something. They also have beef empanadas - maybe next time! Not sure if all locations have the same recipe, but the empanada here tastes a bit sweeter than the ones I've had before. The chicken is also more shredded. I still enjoyed them very much and glad my craving has been satisfied! I do also like that this location is bigger and it was nice and clean (Saturday afternoon). Customer service was great.

COVID-19 Review: Ube everything! One of the few filipino bakeries in the area and it is definitely my go to! It is a small shop located in the same building as Seafood City and Red Ribbon. There is plenty of parking and they are handling the SIP quite well. The shop is nice and clean and they offer sanitizer by the registers. There are lines marked inside and outside of the store. In my opinion this location is better than the one in Union City. There's less people and it's bigger. They sell a wide variety of fresh and tasty pastries, desserts, and breads to choose from. My favorite has to be their freshly baked Ube Cheese Pandesal. It's so fluffy and ube-flavored without it being too overpowering! The cheese on top also adds nice texture to the bite. There are multiple Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop locations in the Bay Area so definitely go check one out!

Review for how often you'll find mold here. I wouldn't usually complain but this is the 3rd time this has happened when buying taro bread. I've complained and showed them pictures. They always try to act like they don't know what they are looking at and or question you for their baked goods being moldy. Be aware and always check your purchases before leaving the store. You'll get a refund with original receipt and original item. Which showing my credit history and photo was not enough.

I hate to write this review because my mom and I love buying baked goods here. We got this 2/27/22 and when we were about to eat it at home on the same day, we noticed that there's of MOLD! We called them to notify so they can quickly remove it off their shelves. The lady on the phone already sounded annoyed when we called. Mind you, we weren't complaining but just informing them! I understand people make mistakes but what annoyed us is that they did NOT even apologize when we returned it, rather they rudely told my mom that she should check the "expiration date" before purchasing. That comment was uncalled for because even if the expiration date has passed, it should not be on your shelves for sale. I just hope they do better with quality control and work on their customer service skills.

    Yes please!

Filipino-carb love here...various breads like pan de sal, señorita bread, ube (that purple yam!) goodies...basically, a long list of baked items along with their baked chicken empanadas, flan, and my fave item, turon which is like a "banana lumpia"...Made with a (starchier) banana and jackfruit in a spring roll wrapper, deep fried with a caramelized-sugar glaze...super yummy. Definitely stop by to try the various Filipino baked goods. Place is located in the new Seafood City shopping center...place is clean, modern, staff friendly and items reasonably priced

    Mold on the cheese
    Sandra F.

This was my first time buying this Valerio's. I bought this ensaymada today. Sell by date is 10/6/2023. There was mold on the cheese. Not sure how they're trying to sell this as fresh, looks like it's been sitting there longer than a couple of days to get mold.

    Clearly it was not expired

I bought this ensaymada on 7/24, with a best before date of 7/27. Today is 7/26 and upon opening , cheese has mold and not sure if they deliberately covered it with their sticker for consumers not to see. Wasted money! Tried to give them several chances but it seems like we won't buy anything from here again.
