I haven't come to this Vallarta for a long time and I failed to do a review. However, this is the best one. they have so many options in the groceries you can pick from every type of brand. And I also like how they sell food and the food is very good. Very reasonable prices too. I ordered homemade guacamole from the inside and it was really good and it was very fresh. The customer service is really nice. The employee Jasmine slet me try out the different type of meats they serve. It was the chicken, pastor, and carnitas!! All the meat was so tender and juicy!! I'm so happy I tried them. She was super nice!!! I decide to get the carnitas and I was satisfied!! The guac and carnitas was 5/5!!! The service was elite and the store was very modern and clean!! I went to Vallarta around 12:30 a.m. on 06/28/26, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had. The managers were not helpful at all and came across as very rude. On top of that, the checkout lines were extremely slow, making the whole visit frustrating. Customer service really needs improvement. Another great location for Vallarta which is the best Latin/Hispanic grocery store in Southern California. Their house made pico de gallo is legendary and their house made guacamole deserves praise, too. I came in with rollerblades (since that was the purpose of the street closure event happening on the street where this store is located) and I was told to remove my rollerblades. After removing them, I was told I had to have shoes on in order to shop. They basically told me I couldn't shop there because they didn't like my shoes. Other stores have treated me more like a person. I wish they had suggested I wear the rollerblades sideways or something to still allow me to shop. I was disappointed that I was treated this way. I didn't know shoes were a good enough reason to deny someone accessible food. It's really sad to see. I was really looking forward to shopping here too. It was what kept me going after roller blading and walking barefoot for 7 miles. Too bad they couldn't deliver. I love love this supermarket!! It is so clean and organized!! I love the fact they have take out food inside, my favorite is their Chorizo Tacos, I order it in the plate version. Prices are decent, I love how they have the guacamole bar with some one making it fresh. Unfortunately because of pandemic there is no more salad bar. Vallarta used to be our favorite supermarket when they are located at Roscoe corner Owensmouth. Not sure, what happened when they took the spot of Vons Supermarket. They become pricey before inflation's which is unreasonable. Place looks bigger and parking is not an issued. Staff are friendly, they acknowledge you as soon you walk thru that sliding door. The place seems not like before heavy traffic something seems not right. Today, I went there to buy porterhouse advertised $7.99/lbs which is a very reasonable price, the products they are selling you don't really look like porterhouses at all. The thickness is almost 1/2 inches only and the size of the steak doesn't really adhere to the standard size Of the Porter House. PT-Bones and Porter house the size, look similar, but Porter house has the biggest portion of mignon and thickness was supposed to be 1 inches. They even don't have a family pack available. I have to buy them individually 12 pieces end up cost me more. So, my other option is Kroger (Ralph's Supermarket) family pack consists of 2 pieces I decided Go with Rib Eye steak they cost less than Vallarta $7.99/lbs. Thickness is 1 inches, and the size is bigger than the Porter house of Vallarta. Please see the picture attached I am not making it up go and check it out yourself. read more

Every time I come to one of Vallarta markets I wonder how come few blocks separate between a supermarket that sell things for so cheap, and the one that sell them for so expensive. Vallarta markets Are the ones that sell for cheap. Starting from fruits and vegetables, through cleaning materials, two bread and anything you might think you can buy in The market. All Lower than most. Also the meet. Quality meat for very low price. So I'm asking you why should you pay more in another place and not drive to three more blocks and get here. They are not perfect. But they are good enough for me to come back here many times. If you live in the area you should check it out you'll probably be able to save a lot of money. read more

Nice meat department. The store is always stocked up with fresh veggies and fruits. They are delicious and reasonable priced. They also have a section for ready to eat hot food. Which you will find chicken, meats, Mexican dishes, and yummy stuff. I also like this store because they have a bakery and sweet bread section. Will keep coming here. Starting from management securities and cashiers... what a shame to go to a place where they would get upset due to speaking up for someone who isn't aware of being ripped off by cashier and packing person... but this is how the world is...and by defending a customer from cashier and packing girl ... only because they were both speaking English regarding the lady grocery if they should tell her that they double charged her the same vegetables whole customer was on the phone & I told both employees that wasn't right that the lady wasn't told what they were saying and of course they deny it so for this I was escorted out without paying my stuff. I went to Vallarta at Sherman Way where cakes.com recommended I go based on my zip code.  I was surprised and shocked that Jesus Perez and one his staff were both unreliable when I wanted to place an order for 3 cakes for my daughters birthday.  First, I was told that they didn't have the design only to find out they actually had it in their book. Then I received a quote of double the price for the cake I like compared to Albertsons. It should be around $49 or close to that price since i can immediately place an order online to Albertsons.  But Vallarta is closer to my house and more convenient.  So they lost me as a customer who's interested in buying 3 cakes  and went to their competitor instead.  And according to the manager Jesus Perez, is ok to lose a customer! read more

This is for the hot food section. I had pre-ordered 15 tamales on a Monday for the coming Wednesday for a pot luck at work. I get there and they were not ready, they were not busy at the time, I went around 1:00pm and waited about 30 mins, my lunch was over by that time. I had to constantly keep checking up on them if they were ready because nobody was helping me or checking on my order. I PRE-ORDERED for a REASON because I was on a time limit due to work. Never again am I ordering from here. The lady who helped me didn't even apologize and looked mad at me for checking up on my order. I should have been in and out no problem but instead my time was wasted and service sucked. Somebody call the health inspector because this location has a history of negligence. If you look closely at their oranges you'll find mildew and not just on the cuties. When I asked the manager they say they all arrive like that from their distributor but anyone that works in a restaurant knows that's your supposed to accept and deny food that's been tampered with.
