Valley Fresh is a welcomed new addition to our area. It fits right in with other higher end supermarkets in the SLO area, like Whole Foods, Lassen's, and Cal Fresh. In fact, some workers from the Pismo Cal Fresh have been rumored to have moved up to this store. Like Cal Fresh, or Lassen's, Valley Fresh Market is also a small local family run chain with only a handful of stores. This is great for the locals since they can offer more customized specially made products, and pivot far faster than corporate behemoths like Whole Foods. I had a nice conversation with the evening manager one night when it was rather late, but very quiet. This was after a friendly store worker actually walked with me to find Chocolate syrup, which was hiding near the ice-cream offerings. I also had a pleasant visit to the Butcher area, and the worker there was really helpful as well. Everyone that I meet that evening was supervise. The new store is fun to shop in since everything is very Fresh and new on the shelves. Here and there one can find bargains, or hard to get items. The stand outs seemed to be the Butcher area, as well as, the Deli area. They do stock fine proteins and even high end Franks, or Aged Prime Beef. The Deli had tasty looking sandwiches, and Eclairs on display as well. I found some things that were hard to find in the SLO area, like some choice canned or bottled high end Seafood, and fresh ground Cashew Butter. The Seafood was even a few dollars cheaper than similar offerings at WF or Cal Fresh. For locals, this place is like a new and upgraded Cal Fresh, but placed near the Northern end of Atascadero. It is nicely located right off the 101, and only one block away from the Grocery Outlet.

New Store in Atown! Reminds me of Whole Foods. Located on El Camino and Del Rio, in the new Del Rio project is Valley Fresh! This modern layout grocery store is super clean, spacious, and has a great selection. Love they have more organic products than the rest of the stores, other than Gather. A lot of fresh food. Floored by the fresh pizza area. This place is cool and in my opinion, the nicest in SLO County. This and Gather will be my Go-To spots! *Hope they go even more Organic*

Great first visit! Lots of cool things not found in other stores. Great produce section, vitamin supplements sections. Deli looked amazing. We will be going a lot more in future. Workers seemed nice enough. But first week, so probably super busy getting everything figured out. Lots of halloween decorations which the whole family loved. Nice little table area so you can eat inside. Parking lot is nice and big. Didn't see any issues with it.

This place is gouging, and I can prove it. I asked them how much to buy a baked potato at a supermarket cold the guy put it on the scale. Tell me $14 I could not believe my ears. The government should set these people down for gouging, I feel sorry for the people that worked all their life for their savings for these people to steal from them mind you a whole bag of potatoes is what under $10 to be fair. This is not a fair this is a supermarket. shame on them.

This store is very clean and set up like most stores. They do offer more organic options. In my opinion, I don't think it's any better than other grocery stores product wise. The are also a bit different, because they have a bakery, deli, and sushi section that is has more of a selection then other grocery stores. They also differ because they have ready meals and food that can be purchased and eaten immediately in their dining area. Their prices are about the same. I wouldn't drive out of the way to go there, but if I am in the area, I would shop and eat there.

Got some clam chowder here when I was charging my car. Turned out with severe food poisoning. Was vomiting and having diarrhea all night.

This store is extremely unique with items you won't find anywhere else, their meat department has specialty cuts that you'd come to expect from a local butcher.

AM Farmer's Market in Templeton Park in the main town. While we already grabbed some goodies there we were curious about this Farm Stand since people gave it high grades as far as Farm Stand go. We were immediately impressed with the safety measures, the friendliness of the farming couple, the quality of the produce, as well as, the ability to walk around a bit & see all that they grow there in the compact network of fields. I especially liked the variety of tomatoes that they grow and the bicolor corn....both of which tasted marvelous with great fresh flavor. You can taste the care that they put into their products. They take pride in the Farm Stand, and it was likely one of the cleanest well organized stands I have ever seen. Beside what they had out, they also had a plethora of other herbs and veges in the modern refrigerators. While it is out in the country, it is only about an 11 minute drive from the 101, so you not only get nice country views, you get good eats. Since they are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they are a great option in case you either missed the Farmer's Market or crave their specific produce. While it is usually very hard to find fresh herbs at our area FM's, here they seemed to have a wide variety, as well as, fresh onions and garlic. They had a diverse selection that rivals some full service markets, and surely beat Whole Paycheck Market on freshness, price, knowledge, and friendliness. Please support these and others local Farms & Farm Stands...they are are local treasures! Thank you!

We have eaten grilled and fried fish tacos and the fish and chips. All the dishes are filling and satisfying. The fish tacos have a nice helping of shredded cabbage and sauce. Seemed like you could park in the other lot on the north with the human bean coffee shop, and walk across the cute connecting bridge that brings you to this lot in front of TJ. Anyway, it was nice and cozy inside, with counter to grab seafood or order some food. Inside had maybe 4 or so tables, while outside had many more. First went outside after ordering, but it was quite windy chilly so went back inside:) Had checked out the menu ahead of time, so ordering was easy. Tall young man was super friendly. Even brought out the food to the table when ready. - Fish n Chips = was so crispy and fresh, absolutely delicious and kid ate it up. plenty of fries too that we all could share - Fish tacos = got one grilled, one fried. Of course fried tastes better, but grilled was great as well. Covered in cabbage and special sauce. The sauce was excellent and addictive, easily defeated all the cabbage. And the fresh fish pieces in these were huge/thick, just awesome. The salsa that came on the side I guess is for the tortilla chips, since the taco had that special sauce on it, so no need salsa on it to detract from the special sauce. The tortilla chips seemed to be fresh cut and fried in house, was so crunchy good, especially when get a chip with a bit of salt on it. - Salmon salad = this was fantastic as well. Generous salmon pieces and the balsamic glaze was perfect with salmon and salad. I guess 2 of the salmon pieces were the skin, which was the best part! Such a delicous way to get your omega 3!!! With so many places to try, sadly only got to eat here once, but it was up there as a memorable meal, A+! And allows for you to walk off your fullness at TJ afterward, just perfect.

Farm to table, they raise the cattle they serve. We had a pianist playing for dinner, and she was quite good. As to the food, my wife decided to order their BLTA which was bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado for her dinner. It came with a dish of cole slaw, which was emboldened with some jalepeno - very nice! She said the bacon was very tasty and good on the sandwich. I ordered their filet mignon with a side of their smashed potatoes, which were covered with cheese and bacon chunks. The filet was served with a green chimichurra sauce and a combination of sour creme and horseradish. I went all in on the sour creme and horseradish sauce - it was delightful. The steak was cooked to order. The bathrooms were clean. The service was very strong. The abiance her is butchershop/restaurant/brewery.
