I went in looking for a car and got lied to about how they can hold a car for me by running my credit which was a lie. Took the numbers they gave me and gave it to my broker. From that point on things were a mess. Ended up putting $500 down to place an order for the car I wanted and waited 3 weeks. Finally the car gets there and I was told to go in on a specific day by the salesperson ( RJ ) to sign and pick up my car. Ends up being his day off and has the keys to my car locked in his desk. He told me to go back later that day, that he will meet me there. I text him 30 min before showing up and says he won't be showing up AGAIN. He started to give me attitude and being sarcastic about the situation as if he didn't tell me himself to show up that day. I ended up showing up the dealership regardless and made sure I got my car, BUT the car still didn't have gas or detailed. Thankfully the manager at the desk and (keno) were very helpful and got me my car. Making sure this review goes out because I don't want anyone else to go through RJ and have a similar situation. Don't really write reviews. But I had to. Worst experience I ever had. Had to go back to the dealership 3 times after I got my car to get everything right. My GPS was tracking someone else's car. Was told that I will get my first oil change for free and it was written on the contract, but was told otherwise because it's not in the system. For the last three years, I have had a hard time bringing my Kia Sorento for service at my original dealer. Services that would normally take hours were being performed in days, and they always justified these long waits due to the lack of mechanics. Finally, I found Van Nuys Kia and my life has changed. Somehow, they seem to have a decent number of professionals, and services don't take forever. I dropped my vehicle for a major service at 90K miles, and I was expecting my car to be there for a week. They were able to perform all scheduled services including the problems they identified (timing belt cover leak, brakes resurfacing, cabin filter, spark plugs, & wheel alignment) within 24 hours. As I was a first-time customer, they gave some discount and even helped me get a rental car at a discounted price. I hate to write, because I am the last person to complaint about things but this Extremely "Extremely" Horrible Service, Firstly nobody answers the phone the first time, you keep calling and calling and when finally someone does answer you get transferred and the cycle continues. We bought a brand new car and after few months we are notified by the DMV that there is a recall on the car, so went to fix the recall, due to recall issue the car would stop in middle of no where while driving..... yup Extremely dangerous, so we took the car they said they "fixed it" after just a month later same problem started again and now they are saying you have to pay to fix it the warranty doesn't cover it, Its a recall issue! How does a warranty dont cover and even if there is no warranty it should be fixed, its a RECALL! Peter very rude rep, I have got to hear things like "we are not Kia, take it up with Kia Corporate America" but I said you guys are kia? He is like we are Kia but we are not Kia, we are just a franchisee, so when we buy the car we come to you but if a problem arises we go to Kia Corporate America? Blew my mind! And to make it worst, he said that he needs to leave now bcoz his shift is coming to end so come on Monday (thats after 2 days) pay $220 diagnostic fees and take up with Kia Corporate America because its there problem. Overall, my experience with this dealership service department had been horrible. My last visit began horrible again until Emir decided to take over and help get my daughter's car fixed. Emir was very sympathetic to my situation. While the car was getting fixed Emir kept me informed on the status almost daily. He returned all my calls and answered all my texts.
