This place is just a real bummer. Had been going to Glendale since my last bad visit where they left the number on top of my car and scratched the paint, wanted to try this again because it's close. Had a good first oil change but was made aware of a recall and told to come back when software is ready and scheduled appointment for it. Came back and they told me after my car was in the shop for 5 hours that they didn't have the tools to service the recall. Why did they even schedule the second appt and take 5 hours to tell me? Then my car came back with a huge scratch on it and after I called about it he told me (Greg) to email the pictures and he'd get back to me in a day. Followed up 3 times since and no response, now my car has a giant scratch after being in the shop for 5 hours for no reason because they didn't have the tools to fix my recall and still no fix for my recall. After Emilio swore that they stood by their products come to find there is a leak in radiator and the roof won't retract and they are not interested in correcting the issue. I would not purchase another car or recommend them to anyone. Also, it's been beyond the time I should've received my license plates and I can't get anybody in Financing to respond to my calls. This dealerships service department is a nightmare to deal with. Took my 2024 Sorento in for a recall appointment and oil change on April 10, 2025. Less than a week later my A/C stops working. Brought it back in on the 24th, they had the car for several days, did not provide a loaner, then proceeded to tell me the repair won't be covered under manufacturer warranty due to "outside influence " causing damage. I contacted Kia customer service, explained the situation. They said they would collect information from the service department and file a "goodwill coverage claim". Weeks went by and the corporate office still didn't have the information they needed. Meanwhile I'm playing middle man on the phone everyday asking the service advisor what the hold up is and basically begging them to do their job. By the end of May Kia customer service finally got the information they needed (literally just a part number and estimate for the price of the part and labor) and within a few days denied my goodwill coverage claim. So now I'm responsible for the A/C repair on a leased car that's still under warranty. If you must take your car to this particular location for service, stay away from service advisor Modesto. I was calm, courteous and understanding throughout this whole situation as unpleasant as it was. He gave me the run around every single time I got him on the phone. He is truly incapable of performing his job if it takes him several weeks to respond to an email. I ended up finding out why he caused such a significant delay and received no apology. He admitted to me over the phone that the email he was supposed to send to Kia corporate only went out to the van nuys service manager....he forgot to include the sender in his reply. How does that even happen? Getting ahold of anyone in this service department is difficult. Wait times are ridiculously long even if you have an appointment. They all act nice until shit hits the fan, then they avoid you like the plague. For my future service needs on this vehicle I will be going elsewhere until this lease expires. I will never return to this dealership and I will encourage others to stay away as well. read more

We had 2 issues that were fully covered, but when Greg from the service dept came back with a quote we were told the charge to fix the camera was $1300 over what our warranty covered & the window wasn't covered at all so we would need to pay $800 out of pocket. I was shocked and told Greg we weren't prepared to pay this much & we'll come & get the car. Then miraculously they took care of the $1300 for us as a goodwill gesture. The only positive was that the work was done well, but it was frustrating to go through this game especially when we paid for a warranty. I had a very bad experience with this dealership. They ran my credit and got me approved through the bank, but less than 24 hours later they refused to honor the deal. When I went to see the car, I noticed the seats were damaged, and instead of fixing the issue, they actually increased the deal price by another $40 the next day. After that, they completely backed out of the agreement. My broker even called to confirm, and the dealership admitted they weren't going to move forward -- even though they had already placed a hard inquiry on my credit. When I went back in person to get answers, the staff acted very strange and unprofessional. Now I'm left with an unnecessary hit on my credit, and I will be reporting this. This dealership does not give you time to think, tries to push damaged cars, raises prices after making deals, and treats customers unfairly. I do not recommend them at all. Do NOT go to this dealer. I made a 1pm appointment to get a 15k service. My car and me were still waiting in the bay at 1:40 and no service advisor had approached. I walked in and saw five advisors doing paperwork and explained situation. All I got was "sorry we're busy" I then asked for service manager. She was inside her office behind her desk and certainly not keeping track of customers or her staff as there was a wall blocking her view. I told her a 40 minute wait was unacceptable when I had appointment and still no one came to write up the job. She did apologize and grabbed an advisor to help (who had just returned from lunch). He finally began the process and then handed me estimate. They wanted $800 for a "major service" which was basically an oil change, tire rotation and checking filters. When I inquired about the service plan I purchased w the vehicle he clicked a few more computer keys and magically it appeared. Funny how EVRYTHING is automatic except for my service plan popping up on the screen Similar wait and frustration occurred on my first visit her for 7,500 service. I'm appalled by the customer service and lack of empathy from Aziz. Our car is currently in service and received a text message if we are interesting with selling it. We replied yes and mentioned that the car was in service. Aziz provided the selling price. He mentioned to go and see him. Once we arrived he mentioned that he needed to see the car. We mentioned that the text message said it was in service. He said "how do you expect me to buy a car when I can't see it. I know it's 5 minutes away but I cannot leave my work area." We mentioned again that it was on text message and we still want to do a trade in since we are interested in another Kia car. He said again "I cannot leave my work. That's a different department". I believe his verbiage and delivery could have been better which I said that to him and he responded "you are judging". I work in customer service and no employee should be speaking like that to customers. I believe we were the ones being judge. I recently had a disappointing experience with the service department at this location. About two weeks ago, the check engine light on my 2024 Kia Niro came on, which I found strange since I had just taken my car in for service. I ended up having to rent a car out of pocket after being informed I needed to get on a waiting list for courtesy car. When I called to get on the waiting list this time, I was told I first needed to bring my car in for a diagnostic test. Only after that could I be considered for a courtesy vehicle, pending approval. I was frustrated but whatever I had no choice. The representative estimated a 4 to 5 hour wait for the diagnostic, so I dropped off my car at 9 AM. Later that day, I received a call saying the technician couldn't determine the issue and needed more time. After waiting all day and calling multiple times, I learned that they'd need to keep my car overnight and would provide an update by morning. The next morning, I didn't hear back for several hours. Around 2 PM, I received a voice message stating they needed more time because they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. Annoyed, I waited and called back at 4 PM to inquire about a rental. I explained my frustration, noting that it was ridiculous I couldn't get a straight answer, only to find out my car hadn't even been inspected. I was furious, feeling misled. They told me two conflicting stories: one that the technician hadn't found the problem, and another that my car hadn't gone through inspection because they were too busy. At this point, I just wanted my car back. This experience was not only stressful but incredibly disappointing, and I hope Kia employees receive better training moving forward. This is poor business practice. I understand that everyone has a job, but honesty is essential. If I call to schedule an appointment for my vehicle, don't give me a date just to let it sit without being checked. It's frustrating to be told my car is being worked on when it hasn't even been inspected. I would have preferred a later date or the option to take my car to a different Kia service provider. You wasted both my time and money, and it's disappointing to see this kind of service after having high regard for Kia. I know I'm just another customer, but I'm a real person with real problems. If I'm being lied to, I can't help but wonder how many others have faced the same treatment. I've owned three Kias and was always treated well, but my recent visits have noticeably diminished my trust in your customer service. I've bought a few cars over the years and as far as dealerships go, this place isn't too bad. Yes, they're going to do whatever it takes to get you to walk off the lot of a car. That's what they're there to do. But at the same time, they didn't come off as being shady. I appreciated that they genuinely listened to our concerns/needs and came up with a few reasonable responses. As far as their maintenance department goes, I've used them twice so far. Once for the complementary oil change and once for a recall repair. I would highly recommend getting an appointment and getting one as close to opening as possible. The wait time between getting there at opening and 90 minutes after opening (1hr vs 3 hrs) is insane. I can't imagine what it would be if you came in the afternoon. But they do their best and both times they never tried to upsell me for future oil changes or any sort of other service which I appreciate. I do wish they had a slightly bigger waiting area though. Seats are limited. Also, maybe some snack options? The coffee is appreciated, but even a vending machine or something with chips or whatever would be great to have. So in the end, this place isn't too bad for a dealership. It's small, but they do a good job making the most of it. read more

Unfortunately, I have to give a terrible review to Kia Van Nuys Service Center Dept. There's been some Negligences and mal practices. About three months ago (Still waiting) I brought my 2018 kia Stinger to regular maintance. The Engine light was on, and One of the representives advices to run a Engine diagnostics which cost me $300 Eventhough I have an extended warranty which covered it, but I paid it anyways. That was only the begining of my nightmare with the service center. It took them 2 weeks to get it "fix" and get my car back. When I was driving the 101 freeway My Car Out the Blue Turned Off in the middle of the freeway! Due to the technichian left one item unplugged!! Luckily it didn't cost me an accident or my life. I had an mechanic looked at the car and the car towed back to my house. The Mechanic plugged it back and the car run again. Next day first hour I told Arlene and Artinn -the Manager from the department about the inccident saying that I wouldn't be possible and that they had to run computer test to see what happened. They Realized that the sensor was unplugged and left like that by the technichian. Another week later, right after the previous inccident My Engine Blew Up!! Same I was driving the freeway and the car stopped working I had towed from the Metro towing company. The guy told the Engine is dead. There was a hole in the Engine and All the Oil was out. I called Power Protect- my Extended warranty sold when I got the car. It's been MONTHS since they told me it's covered but the don't make the engine to my car anymore. They Got me a Used Engine. Now I'm back and forth with the Representative Arlinne wating on the Technichian, waiting on parts, waiting on my extended warranty, waiting on inspector, waiting on Managers to get aproval. It has been extremely tedious mentally and physically. I got still making payments on the insurance and making payments on a Car I STILL DON't have. I've been probably the Most patient customer but this has been way too much. I work in the service industry, so I know thigs take time But Like I said at the begging there's been some much Negligence and malpractices on my car, and I don't even know what else to do. Mi vendedor George realmente no tubo micho interes en atenderme y no quería venderme la camioneta supiestamente por que era un costosa ( menciono que llegue hablando español y no muy arreglando) yo le dije que no importaba y que corriera el crédito. Lo hizo y después de un tiempo el me ofreció e incluso maneje otras opciones y yo le dije que me compraría la EV9. Ya para ese monto habían pasado casi 3 hrs y el empezó a poner excusas e incluso me dejaron parada esperando a mi, mi mamá y mi bebe. Al pasar el tiempo (2 hrs mas ) yoe enoje y le dije que que pasaba. El insistía que el financiero me atendería en breve y ya firmaríamos todo. Mientras a todos los demaa clientes no latinos atendían miy agradablemente. Al final despues de casi 4 horas el me dice que la camioneta ya se habia vendido, pero que el dia siguiente ellos personalmente me la llevarían a mi casa y Jacob un supervisor me dijo que el al dia siguiente me llamaria alas 9am.Bueno al dia siguiente no me llamaron y mucho menos me hablaron, yo seguía llamando al vendedor George el cual muy grosero me regaño y el me dijo que alas 2:30pm el tendría la camioneta en el lugar. Cuando llegamos a Kia Van Nuys la camioneta si estaba ahi pero ellos ya habían cambiado el trato completamente. Yo pedí copia de la propuesta de el dia anterior, el cual el vendedor se negociación y me dijo que yo no podía tomarle foto a ninguna propuesta y que si no me gustaba la oferta que me fuera y yo no comprara ningun carro ahi.según sus políticas internas. Me ofrecieron otro trato el cual accedí, obviamente 300 dls mas al mes. En todo momento me.aenti humillada y discriminada por la madera en que nos trataron a mi y a mi mamá y mis hijos. Al firmar el contrato el financiero me pidió mi mail, el me dijo que en ese momento el me estaba enviando el contrato ( no fue verdad) . Al momento de entregarme la camioneta nadie me dijo nada respecto a la misma, ninguna indicación. Yo el dia lunes le hablo tanto al vendedor como al supervisor para hacerles saber que mi contrato no estaba en mail y no me contestaron ni llamadas no mensajes, yo hable directamente a Kia Van nuys y tampoco me dieron respuesta, solo me transferían a una extensión en la cual nadie tomaba la llamada. Nadie me contesta las llamada ni mensajes. Hasta el dia jueves y me dicen que los financiero el dia miércoles no trabajaron y el dia jueves estaban en una reunión y que tenia que ir personalmente con una identificación a pedirlo directo ahi, cosa qie el vendedor decía que lo estaban enviando ami mail y que mi mail no servía ( eso es mentira) tengo mensajes y llamadas guardados donde puedo comprobar que ellos ignoraron mis llamadas y mensajes todo el tiempo. I've called the service department and the receptionist/operator numerous times, and no one answers.
