I have a 2022 Kia Sportage. I purchased it from KIA of Glendale , when i bought my car i got a 3 year UNLIMITED oil and lube extended contract. Every time i came in for an oil and lube Arno or any other service manager "EXCEPT FOR MARTHA ", would give me a hard time with how many oil and lubes I had. The extended contract did say how many i could have but unlimited oil and lube for 3 YEARS. So if I did not get MARTHA as the service manager, it was a argument about how many i could have. They all had to call the service manager or contract co to verify. It became a true HASSLE. I would like to tell you that MARTHA was the best person i have ever had there and this i my 3rd KIA SPORTAGE. KIA Ruined Christmas   It's my strong personal opinion that Kia of Van Nuys is dishonest.  The customer service I'm receiving is the worst.  My car is having major engine issues that are under warranty and, I believe, covered by a recall.  But Kia refuses to honor the warranty, refuses to acknowledge the recall issue applies, have charged me a ton of money under the guise of "finding out if the recall is the reason...", are keeping my car on the lot without servicing it at all and refused for weeks to give me a loaner so I've been out of pocket thousands of dollars because of a covered issue. In November I brought the car in because it was burning through oil.  I brought the engine recall issue up to Arno B.  He said that the recall probably didn't apply and that I needed a $1,320 fuel service to determine if it was the issue.  So I fell for this and had them do the fuel service.  They kept the car for weeks and refused to give me a loaner.  In early December they gave me back the car, dirty and with low tire pressure.  I told Arno that my car was still having issues and felt unsafe to drive. It was doing some weird pulling now and the odometer was reading high. He said they were busy and could it wait til after the holidays to which I replied "No, it's not safe. I'm going out of town." I returned my car to KIA December 12 and had to rent again as they provided no loaner.  I told him it was Christmas time and I couldn't afford to rent again while they fixed my car. He said I had no choice and sent me back to Midway to rent a car. On December 17 I requested an update and was told it was not ready.  On December 19 I pleaded with him to have compassion as it's Christmas and I'm up to $1600 in rental fees.  "Can you please get me a loaner? Between the fuel service and my rental I'm out $2900. This will greatly affect our holiday. I'm not prepared for this."  I was in tears. He responded that they're busy due to the holidays and he has no time frame for my car to be done. I heard nothing until December 26. On December 26 I finally got a loaner vehicle. KIA's disregard for a single mom, during the holidays with a special needs son, shocked me to my core. I feel sick and taken advantage of. This is truly no way to treat customers. We even bought our car with KIA if Van Nuys. Think twice about giving them your business. read more

I'm so thrilled about my new EV9. I traded in my Telluride which has been a great family car, but I was ready to go electric. I went straight to Mousa, who helped us the first time, and he was extremely helpful per usual. Be Cautious When Dealing with Kia of Van Nuys I had a very disappointing experience at Kia of Van Nuys. Be prepared to ask repeatedly for updates on your vehicle--they won't keep you in the loop. If your car needs to stay at the dealership, you're on your own for transportation. No loaner vehicles are provided, and don't expect even basic hospitality like water or snacks, especially if you're buying a used car. In contrast, I've purchased from Century West BMW and Keyes Lexus before. Whether you're buying new or used, they treat all customers with respect and care. Loaner cars are offered, refreshments are available, and the overall service is far superior. Save yourself the time and frustration. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The following is an email I sent the general manager, Arnold, of the Van Nuys Kia Dealership. I sent this email over a week ago and received no reply. This is after not receiving a promised response from Kia Corporate for over two months. Beware of leasing vehicles from Kia: I'm reaching out regarding the 2024 Kia EV-6 that was leased to me from your location last summer. Two months ago, on Friday, July 11th, I went to remove the charger from the charge port at my home and noticed it wasn't coming out. We had to use the emergency release pull located in the trunk in order to pull it out. At that point, we noticed that one of the charger prongs had melted to the charge port, which meant that the car could no longer be plugged in. Upon opening my Kia app, I realized that there is an active recall for the ICCU unit. I then took the vehicle into my local Kia dealership in West Covina, and they advised me to return on Monday to drop off the vehicle for inspection. We did just that and on Tuesday we were absolutely shocked to find out that the cost to repair the vehicle was not going to be covered by Kia. We did not accept this and decided to fight the decision with corporate. The West Covina dealership informed us that we can leave the car there while we disputed this with Kia Corporate. Upon further investigation, we found articles, chat forums etc, that verified this very issue as a common problem with Kia EV-6 models. This would make sense as the vehicle was being recalled for the ICCU unit. In fact, someone from your dealership called me a few days into this issue to let me know there is a recall on my vehicle, to which I explained everything that was going on. She also confirmed that was a recurring issue with that model. When my fiance finally got someone from corporate to call us back, a woman named Amanda assured him that they would reimburse us for the rental car and she would work on getting the approvals for the repairs. She certainly gave us the impression that she would get everything handled. That was on July 18th. From there, we experienced radio silence from corporate with the occasional check-in from the West Covina dealership to ask us whether we've heard anything. Apparently Kia Corporate wasn't responding to them either. We have had to pay out of pocket for our car rentals since then, as that is our only vehicle. Not only that, but I will be making my third payment on this lease while not being in possession of the vehicle. Yesterday we received a text from Josh at the West Covina dealership asking us to give him a call back. When we once again told them that we haven't received any response from Amanda, our case manager, or anyone from Kia Corporate, he stated that his manager would like us to pick up the vehicle. We let him know that we are currently in Philadelphia for a family function and would be back on the 26th of this month. Today he sent another text stating his management just informed him that Kia has declined the recommended repairs at this time. He also stated that despite us being out of state, we would need to arrange to have the vehicle picked up anyway. This has single handedly been the worst experience I have ever had with any car. I am floored by the way Kia treats its customers. We have been making payments on a leased vehicle that we haven't had possession of for over two entire months. We have also paid over two thousand dollars out of pocket for rental cars. The car is absolutely useless as it cannot be charged. I have refrained from making any online negative reviews as I believed that someone from Kia would do the right thing. However, I am losing hope. At this point, I am reaching out to you to see what can be done. I no longer want this problematic vehicle. I would like to have the vehicle dropped off at your location and have your dealership resolve the issue or absolve us of any responsibility. I cannot continue to pay for rental cars, and I will not, under any circumstances, pay thousands of dollars to repair a leased vehicle that is under recall for the very issue I brought it in for. I own two Kia vehicles. One is a 2017 Niro, the other is a 2018 Sorento. For the most part, I like them both, but the Niro in particular is a wonderful little hybrid. I have been to this Kia Service Center one time prior to have recall service performed on the Niro. It was clear that they were very busy, and I was initially a little disappointed that the service took two days. When we got back to pick the car up, they tried to upsell me on a bunch of nonsense service, some of which I already had performed. This was a bit alarming, but I realized its a business and didn't think too much about it. Yeah, it was annoying, but whatever. No, I didn't buy the cars here. I should make that clear. I was simply looking for a place close to my home in Sherman Oaks where I could have them reliably serviced. Fast forward to this morning. My Sorento wouldn't start. Yes, I had it jumped a month ago and replaced the battery at that time. However, I am basically stranded and can't use my car. I called the service center to ask the address to have it towed to. The person answering the phone sounded either hung over or still drunk when she grunted at me as she picked up. I didn't even know for sure it was a Kia dealership until I had to ask and clarify. It's the first time in my life I think I would have preferred an A.I. phone operator. Yeah, this totally sounds like a mean review, but I am 100% serious. No phone etiquette at all. Was I stressed out when I called? Sure, I was already late for work. Did this Kia Service Center help? No, they made it worse. The woman on the phone was able to blurt out enough English to inform me I'd have to wait till August for them to diagnose the issue. That is right. I have a car that won't start. It only has 38,000 miles on it. It needs electrical system diagnostics, and she told me it would be over one and a half months. I asked about emergency service and she told me there was no such thing. So guess what Van Nuys Kia? You will never see me again. Not for recall service, not for any repair service, not for anything. No sales. No nothing. I cannot believe that the person on the other end of the phone was an adult human being. What makes this the worst is that there is nothing they could ever say or do that would make me step foot on their lot again. I am a permanent loss as a customer and will likely dissuade everyone I know from coming here. I am thankful that an independent repair shop got me in and out in under two hours this morning. And those guys don't even have cars to sell. Save your time and money and look for Kia service elsewhere. It's surprisingly easy to find. Good luck. read more

Pésimo servicio y pesa atención, el dia sábado 23 de mayo 2026 acudir a hacer la compra de una camioneta EV9. Mi vendedor George realmente no tubo micho interes en atenderme y no quería venderme la camioneta supiestamente por que era un costosa ( menciono que llegue hablando español y no muy arreglando) yo le dije que no importaba y que corriera el crédito. Lo hizo y después de un tiempo el me ofreció e incluso maneje otras opciones y yo le dije que me compraría la EV9. Ya para ese monto habían pasado casi 3 hrs y el empezó a poner excusas e incluso me dejaron parada esperando a mi, mi mamá y mi bebe. Al pasar el tiempo (2 hrs mas ) yoe enoje y le dije que que pasaba. El insistía que el financiero me atendería en breve y ya firmaríamos todo. Mientras a todos los demaa clientes no latinos atendían miy agradablemente. Al final despues de casi 4 horas el me dice que la camioneta ya se habia vendido, pero que el dia siguiente ellos personalmente me la llevarían a mi casa y Jacob un supervisor me dijo que el al dia siguiente me llamaria alas 9am.Bueno al dia siguiente no me llamaron y mucho menos me hablaron, yo seguía llamando al vendedor George el cual muy grosero me regaño y el me dijo que alas 2:30pm el tendría la camioneta en el lugar. Cuando llegamos a Kia Van Nuys la camioneta si estaba ahi pero ellos ya habían cambiado el trato completamente. Yo pedí copia de la propuesta de el dia anterior, el cual el vendedor se negociación y me dijo que yo no podía tomarle foto a ninguna propuesta y que si no me gustaba la oferta que me fuera y yo no comprara ningun carro ahi.según sus políticas internas. Me ofrecieron otro trato el cual accedí, obviamente 300 dls mas al mes. En todo momento me.aenti humillada y discriminada por la madera en que nos trataron a mi y a mi mamá y mis hijos. Al firmar el contrato el financiero me pidió mi mail, el me dijo que en ese momento el me estaba enviando el contrato ( no fue verdad) . Al momento de entregarme la camioneta nadie me dijo nada respecto a la misma, ninguna indicación. Yo el dia lunes le hablo tanto al vendedor como al supervisor para hacerles saber que mi contrato no estaba en mail y no me contestaron ni llamadas no mensajes, yo hable directamente a Kia Van nuys y tampoco me dieron respuesta, solo me transferían a una extensión en la cual nadie tomaba la llamada. Nadie me contesta las llamada ni mensajes. Hasta el dia jueves y me dicen que los financiero el dia miércoles no trabajaron y el dia jueves estaban en una reunión y que tenia que ir personalmente con una identificación a pedirlo directo ahi, cosa qie el vendedor decía que lo estaban enviando ami mail y que mi mail no servía ( eso es mentira) tengo mensajes y llamadas guardados donde puedo comprobar que ellos ignoraron mis llamadas y mensajes todo el tiempo. Misleading Vehicle Listing and Poor Experience at Van Nuys Kia I'm writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at Van Nuys Kia. Before visiting the dealership, I called to confirm the condition of a vehicle I was interested in and was told it was in great condition. Based on that information, I drove 73 miles to see the vehicle -- only to find it in very poor condition. The front bumper was scratched, the paint was chipped, one headlight was burnt out, the fog lights didn't work, and all four rims were scratched and chipped. None of these issues were shown or mentioned in the online photos or during my phone conversation with the salesperson. The listing was completely misleading and wasted both my time and gas. I expected honesty and transparency from a dealership, but that was not the case here. Kia Van Nuys Service Department can't be trust & tried to scam me. We have a Maxcare warranty and there's a $100 deductible on covered items. We had 2 issues that were fully covered, but when Greg from the service dept came back with a quote we were told the charge to fix the camera was $1300 over what our warranty covered & the window wasn't covered at all so we would need to pay $800 out of pocket. I was shocked and told Greg we weren't prepared to pay this much & we'll come & get the car. Then miraculously they took care of the $1300 for us as a goodwill gesture. The only positive was that the work was done well, but it was frustrating to go through this game especially when we paid for a warranty. Oh, and we took the car to another dealer for the $800 mirror & it was fully covered & we only had to pay the deductible. Unbelievable! I would never go back here again. read more

He was looking out my best interest and was not pushy. He laid out all my best options and then went above and beyond to make sure I got a deal I could be happy and comfortable with. 10 out of 10. I recommend all my friends and family to this Kia when getting a car. Also - I love my car. I got the KIA Sportage PHEV (plug-in hybrid) and it really is a game changer. I went 758 miles before my first full up. I also like the color options. They had a really cool green color but I ended up going with Shadow Grey which has a nice matte finish. Do NOT go to this dealer. I made a 1pm appointment to get a 15k service. My car and me were still waiting in the bay at 1:40 and no service advisor had approached. I walked in and saw five advisors doing paperwork and explained situation. All I got was "sorry we're busy" I then asked for service manager. She was inside her office behind her desk and certainly not keeping track of customers or her staff as there was a wall blocking her view. I told her a 40 minute wait was unacceptable when I had appointment and still no one came to write up the job. She did apologize and grabbed an advisor to help (who had just returned from lunch). He finally began the process and then handed me estimate. They wanted $800 for a "major service" which was basically an oil change, tire rotation and checking filters. When I inquired about the service plan I purchased w the vehicle he clicked a few more computer keys and magically it appeared. Funny how EVRYTHING is automatic except for my service plan popping up on the screen Similar wait and frustration occurred on my first visit her for 7,500 service. What could improve? Maybe not being shady or scamming hard working people. DO NOT BUY a used car from Kia Van Nuys. I purchased my 2016 Kia Soul last year (2023). And I have had to pay to replace a clogged catalytic converter already ~ about $5k ( a third of the cost of the car) with the expenses of the first two times I had to take it to the mechanic for the same issue. I've reached out to the dealership with questions and I always get put on hold and immediately hung up on. This Kia is under 79,000miles. Not a trustworthy dealer. Update 7/8/24 : I was contacted by an Emir Kozoglu and emailed him. I've made several calls to the phone number provided by Emir and Arnold Gonsalves. One of my phone calls was answered and I was transferred to another line where I was hung up on. I tried calling back and my phone calls are ignored or go unanswered. I have an email promising towing to the dealership, a loaner vehicle, and a replacement for catalytic converter at no cost to me. But now my email and calls are going unanswered. I'm appalled by the customer service and lack of empathy from Aziz. Our car is currently in service and received a text message if we are interesting with selling it. We replied yes and mentioned that the car was in service. Aziz provided the selling price. He mentioned to go and see him. Once we arrived he mentioned that he needed to see the car. We mentioned that the text message said it was in service. He said "how do you expect me to buy a car when I can't see it. I know it's 5 minutes away but I cannot leave my work area." We mentioned again that it was on text message and we still want to do a trade in since we are interested in another Kia car. He said again "I cannot leave my work. That's a different department". I believe his verbiage and delivery could have been better which I said that to him and he responded "you are judging". I work in customer service and no employee should be speaking like that to customers. I believe we were the ones being judge. We would have waited to trade in the car but his words and delivery definitely made us change our minds. read more

This place is just a real bummer. Had been going to Glendale since my last bad visit where they left the number on top of my car and scratched the paint, wanted to try this again because it's close. Had a good first oil change but was made aware of a recall and told to come back when software is ready and scheduled appointment for it. Came back and they told me after my car was in the shop for 5 hours that they didn't have the tools to service the recall. Why did they even schedule the second appt and take 5 hours to tell me? Then my car came back with a huge scratch on it and after I called about it he told me (Greg) to email the pictures and he'd get back to me in a day. Followed up 3 times since and no response, now my car has a giant scratch after being in the shop for 5 hours for no reason because they didn't have the tools to fix my recall and still no fix for my recall. purchased a 2016 BMW Z4 71K miles. After Emilio swore that they stood by their products come to find there is a leak in radiator and the roof won't retract and they are not interested in correcting the issue. I would not purchase another car or recommend them to anyone. Also, it's been beyond the time I should've received my license plates and I can't get anybody in Financing to respond to my calls. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle at this location. As you can see the general manager responded with what seemed to be a sincere concern however NEVER returned my call.
