My husband and I were in the market to lease an electric car by the end of September '25 when the fed rebate would expire. We had been long time Honda customers but Honda's current vehicles did not meet our needs. We explored Hyundai, Toyota, and Kia. Kia had the vehicle that met all of our needs. We visited Kia Van Nuys twice and both times, Manar A. helped us. He showed us their vehicles, explained the pricing and all of the features. He was very personable without any pressure and easy to work with. We also checked out two other Kia dealerships but Manar and the team at Kia Van Nuys were the only ones who were responsive to our timeline and budget, without being overbearing or plagueing us with followup calls. I got car from this dealer. Find Dash glove was damaged during of test drive. Diller promised me to finish transaction and in 2 days they will order new glove and replace it for 15 minutes. Got call after 2 days. Drive car to the dealer. Now they sed it will take 4 hours. I left car there, was promised to get the call to pick it up. So far no call, I called to diller after almost 6 hours, and they sed it finished, we can pick it up. So I sent my son, he drove my car back to home. And you think what: nothing was done !!! No dillinger is answering my calls no service manager. The way they are working!!! I was talking with my friend: He mentioned that in this diller often don't changing customers oil and filters, and charging them like they did the job !! "Good job" guys, keep that way. read more

This KIA sucks !! When it comes to costumer service ! Yes they will get you a car smiling and everything they can to get it out. Once you have it and have problems, even with extended warranty . They slack with phone calls won't answer sometimes hang up . My car was in service for 4 MONTHS!!! Nothing ever got fixed !! 2 months later I'm back and they are giving me the run around !! They don't want to fix it or give me a rental!! I'm taking the bus even with having full coverage !!! They said they are waiting to tow it out and it's been a week and they can't call a tow !? I honestly regret buying from this KIA ! Customer service is definitely not number one ! They can be rude ignore you and as I talked to the guy they would direct themselves to my patents who barely know anything . I have to be calling daily and I'm usually on hold ! The managers don't even wanna help ! UPDATE : supervisor called and explained what there advisors couldn't ! KIA management means well! They just had to get fix priors errors from old bad apples . Bought a vehicle from here. I ordered a charger for cig lighter and I then noticed the lighter did not work. Only had car 3 or 4 days. I call to see if they could fix the lighter probably just a fuse but I dont have tools to open it. A 5 min fix and they couldn't even do that. I would never go back to this keys kia of van nuys again. What I joke. I have been meaning to write this review for a few months. Normally I would let this go, but this was so dangerous that I had to comment. Last October I planned to drive to Mexico alone with my two dogs. I took my 2014 Kia Sorrento to the service department for preventive service and inspection. I paid for a $1,000 service package which included an oil change. On top of that they found other repairs that needed to be done, which I authorized. My total bill came to over $2,000. 6 weeks later, I was getting my car smog inspected and as a routine they checked my oil. The inspector told me that my oil was filthy and it was very dangerous to drive as my car could actually catch on fire. He pointed the sticker on my window which showed the oil had not been changed by Van Nuys Kia. He also showed me the oil, which looked like tar. I returned the car to the dealership. I once again explained that I was a single woman driving to Mexico this week. I also explained that I had told them this on the previous visit. I thought I was expressing how important the need was for a thorough service job. Obviously it did not matter, since they missed changing the oil. Instead of saying, 'sorry we messed up. Your next service is on us". Or something like that. Everyone makes mistakes, but this was a big one. Instead I got mansplaining. "There is no law that says we have to put stickers on the windshield." "Your oil could have easily gotten this dirty in two months." I think they thought I was an idiot. When the car was returned the second time I had a windshield sticker and I made them show me the color of the oil. Which was clean and clear. If my car had broken down or caught fire in Mexico, I would have been SOL. Not to mention I might have been stranded and alone. What it comes down to is the Van Nuys Kia sales department might be good, but their service departments sucks! They are liars and you should not trust them at all. I will never take my car back there for anything. read more

I regret buying a car there. Never would have thought that the aftermath was worse than the buying experience. The only reason I bought the car there because they had it in stock for some reason. Terrible car handover/delivery. The car was dirty and they refused to clean it. And let's not talk about under the hood, which I only saw after I took the car home. How many times they lied about having it in stock and me running over there like a fool. The only thing they can bank on, is that someone likes the car enough to buy it from these unprofessional clowns. Forcing customers to write good reviews so they can deliver their promise. In this case clean it. Once you write an honest review that doesn't go in their favor they do not honor what was promised. No one really cares about promises as no one is 5 years old, the car was simply dirty, covered in a mud like substance. Clean it! The car is not a $100 item. A little respect goes a long ways. Live and learn, and I'm sure they will reply here with some BS acting like they didn't do or say that, even though KIA consumer affairs was involved and they still didn't budge.
