A few months ago I scheduled an oil change for my Kia Niro and was left unattended for quite a while that I pulled my car out of the lot and left thinking I would never return. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and felt like I did not exist! It was a bad business move. We own 3 Kia's and they were not going to see a penny from me going forward. Cut to yesterday. I decided to make an appointment for my daughter's Kia Soul since it was just an oil change and I didn't feel like going to my dealership in Santa Clarita. We arrived early only to find Pedros immediately approaching us and greeting us with what we should expect. Wow!!!! A complete 180 here. I knew that he was new to the dealership and asked him what happened. How was it so much better now? He told me that they got rid of a lot of the employees and did a complete revision in their customer care service. Pedros then told me that Ken their Kia service greeter would be with me shortly to check me in and then hand me over to Andres who would then go over what he saw as potentially becoming an issue. Woo hoo!!!! Ken was so nice and I was extremely happy to see that the service department was as accommodating as the Santa Clarita one. Andres pointed out a potential rodent issue under the hood. GROSS!!! The creature left foot prints and droppings. Down the road the rodent could chew through the wires and then we are talking $$$$:(. The power steering needed fluid and the brake fluid was very low. We left the Soul for the day to have: new rear brake pads (which were only replaced 1 time because they lasted forever!), the brake fluid and the power steering fluid. Kia gives your car a complimentary car wash as well. I was very impressed with the changes and told Pedros that I would be writing this review!!!! Everyone who works in the service department were friendly, attentive and honest. I highly recommend this dealership for your Kia's service if you are in the area. They also offer hybrid and electric car service as well! Prices are comparable to most auto shops. Easy access in the lot with plenty of street parking as well. They offer car service if you have to drop your car and can't wait. You can also wait in the lounge area as well. read more

I got a recall for my Kia Soul and came here to get a service done. Andres, the service attendant was very patient and pleasant. I waited about 2.5 hours and enjoyed yummy coffee, A/C, and comfortable chairs. They also washed my car for me before handing it back to me. This is a small dealership ( I leased my vehicle from Kia Glendale, which is much bigger), but you will still get the same customer service. read more

Bought a vehicle from here. I ordered a charger for cig lighter and I then noticed the lighter did not work. Only had car 3 or 4 days. I call to see if they could fix the lighter probably just a fuse but I dont have tools to open it. A 5 min fix and they couldn't even do that. I would never go back to this keys kia of van nuys again. What I joke. Other car I had issue with was Mer Ben's had it like 2 months a light came on and they right aways agreed to see it and didn't even charge since I just got it. Avoid this place if you can. read more

I currently took my car into Van Nuys Kia for the fourth time simply because it's a brand new car that I have but I did not buy it from Van Nuys Kia. The car is currently a lemon and I'm going through a lemon lawyer at the moment but my car is currently in Van Nuys, Kia and the service advisor that I have is very rude and he talks to you like a child when I'm just trying to get updates on my car, I have missed three potentially four days of work would not having a car and I asked about loaner cars. They told me that they have a long list and no cars available not only have they had my car since Tuesday. It is now Friday and nothing has happened to my car or being fixed my problem is not with the car being fixed. It's about the customer service with the advisor and his name is. Yonatan I have never experienced such rude behavior from advisor there everybody has always been so nice to me when I came the last three times but this advisor that I have absolutely the rudest just because you have questions and concerns about updates on your car because like I said, stated before the car has been in there since Tuesday. read more

I regret buying a car there. Never would have thought that the aftermath was worse than the buying experience. The only reason I bought the car there because they had it in stock for some reason. Terrible car handover/delivery. The car was dirty and they refused to clean it. And let's not talk about under the hood, which I only saw after I took the car home. How many times they lied about having it in stock and me running over there like a fool. The only thing they can bank on, is that someone likes the car enough to buy it from these unprofessional clowns. Forcing customers to write good reviews so they can deliver their promise. In this case clean it. Once you write an honest review that doesn't go in their favor they do not honor what was promised. No one really cares about promises as no one is 5 years old, the car was simply dirty, covered in a mud like substance. Clean it! The car is not a $100 item. A little respect goes a long ways. Live and learn, and I'm sure they will reply here with some BS acting like they didn't do or say that, even though KIA consumer affairs was involved and they still didn't budge. I hope this counts for the Kia service dept. Arlene the representative at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They quoted me 3 hrs for a recall but got it done within 1.5hrs. The waiting room was filled with unlimited coffee & popcorn. They also cleaned my car which I def appreciated everything was pretty straightforward and detail oriented. I have been meaning to write this review for a few months. Normally I would let this go, but this was so dangerous that I had to comment. Last October I planned to drive to Mexico alone with my two dogs. I took my 2014 Kia Sorrento to the service department for preventive service and inspection. I paid for a $1,000 service package which included an oil change. On top of that they found other repairs that needed to be done, which I authorized. My total bill came to over $2,000. 6 weeks later, I was getting my car smog inspected and as a routine they checked my oil. The inspector told me that my oil was filthy and it was very dangerous to drive as my car could actually catch on fire. He pointed the sticker on my window which showed the oil had not been changed by Van Nuys Kia. He also showed me the oil, which looked like tar. I returned the car to the dealership. I once again explained that I was a single woman driving to Mexico this week. I also explained that I had told them this on the previous visit. I thought I was expressing how important the need was for a thorough service job. Obviously it did not matter, since they missed changing the oil. Instead of saying, 'sorry we messed up. Your next service is on us". Or something like that. Everyone makes mistakes, but this was a big one. Instead I got mansplaining. "There is no law that says we have to put stickers on the windshield." "Your oil could have easily gotten this dirty in two months." I think they thought I was an idiot. When the car was returned the second time I had a windshield sticker and I made them show me the color of the oil. Which was clean and clear. If my car had broken down or caught fire in Mexico, I would have been SOL. Not to mention I might have been stranded and alone. What it comes down to is the Van Nuys Kia sales department might be good, but their service departments sucks! They are liars and you should not trust them at all. I will never take my car back there for anything. read more

This review is solely for the service department. Martha from the service department really took care of my needs when I went in to service my kia. I've had many issues with other techs in the past getting my maintenance done over the last 4 years that it got to the point where I'd rather drive to another dealership to get serviced. Martha kept an open line of communication and updated me whenever there were any updates. Her customer service and hospitality went above and beyond what I've had over the last few years. Im so happy that she's now a part of that team and look forward to continue doing business at this dealership. read more

I called to schedule a service appointment in response to a recall announcement and thank goodness I asked if the parts would be there, and I was told there was no guarantee that the necessary parts will be in stock as they need to inspect the vehicle first then order parts if necessary, then have me come back 2 or 3 days later for the service. This expectation tells me that they will not have the parts when I arrive for recall service, that way there's no surprises! Get it? I GET A RECALL NOTICE and they can't guarantee the parts will be there? IT'S A GOOD THING I asked about availability of parts. This is not customer service, this is the service department not trusting me to come in if they acquire the recall parts before I arrive for service. It seems that some of the guys at the Service Drive at Van Nuys Kia intentionally keep customers in the dark regarding their service, as that had happened to me when initially inquiring about the recall and the last time I was there for service. I suggest skipping Van Nuys Kia for service. read more
