I had an appointment today at 6:30PM with a salesman by the name of Ken. We spoke over the phone days prior about how he could honor the lease deal on the new 2022 K5. I had told him that I was only willing to come have a meeting if he was able to honor the deal or at least be in the same ball park range. He said they could and had his manager's approval. I trusted his words and came into the dealership. Unfortunately, when I got there, Ken was nowhere to be found and I met with a different salesman. Immediately, the salesman was amazed that Ken had lied to me about this deal and after talking to his manager, the manager said that he had approved of no such deal. I live 40 minutes away from this location but I was willing to come after work to meet with Ken as he made me this promise. I am amazed that lying has become part of a car salesman's characteristic. I just wish he would have told me the truth over the phone instead of coercing me into the dealership. He didn't have the decency to meet and apologize to my face and instead delegated it to the other salesman. Nevertheless, my business will be at a better Kia dealership. My 2019 KIA Niro started shuddering terribly. Called Corporate headquarters and they sent a tow truck many hours later. They told me to call Van Nuys KIA to set up an appointment. I did. They finally picked up the call and it was set for 7am the next morning. I called about 8:15 the next morning and the girl on the phone said a handler would call me if the car was there. IF the car was there?!? I lost it and said I needed to know if the car was there or not because I'd need to call the police if it wasn't. I got no call. Called back two hours later. Same story. I called two hours later. Still nothing. I called Corporate KIA and they were also put on hold. At least he acted like he cared. He said to call back tomorrow if I hadn't heard back. Really? Sharp looking, smooth riding, definitely 1000x safe compared to the smaller sports' type cars she was dead set on, and most importantly, MOM APPROVED!! I brought her in to see it for herself, and she had to admit, this /was/ very nice. I dealt with the [GM] Bob, because quite frankly, I normally don't like dealing with sales people. Bob was great! Very accommodating, and although he didn't have the colour we wanted, he didn't try to push the one he did have in stock. Instead, he quickly placed the order for the black/white, and made sure it came with everything we asked for on it. There was no "no-pressure-high pressure" sales tactics in play - which will make me walk out in the middle of any deal, in a heartbeat The entire staff overall was very friendly, and on the ball... And when we came in to pick the car up, Bob had Farid show my daughter everything she needed to know about her brand new car. He was just as great as Bob! My review is directed at the parts department only. I don't know anything about the sales department there and unfortunately i'll go to Simi Valley to buy my next car even though I live close to these guys but this is really only based on dealing with the parts department but unfortunately it reflects the whole dealership in my opinion. I love the brand, I think they're very reliable cars and I will continue buying just not from this dealership. On October 27, I went into this dealership to the parts department to buy brakes and rotors and the brakes were in stock and the rotors were being ordered from Washington and it would take 4-5 days to get here which I understood and paid for them in advance and went about my week. A whole week later when I had not heard from anybody, I called to speak to somebody about it and nobody even knew who I was and told me I had to call back with an invoice number because they had no record of my name or my phone number on file or that I had bought anything from them. Call them later that day with the invoice number and was told that the part never arrived and that it was coming from the East Coast somewhere near Atlanta which is completely different than what was told to me after I purchased them in person and was told to me by Fernando. The gentleman told me over the phone that it would be another 4-5 days for them to arrive but there was no guarantee that they were going to come at that time either. I waited another week and called and was told that they did not know if they came in or not and would call me when they arrived. (At this point, my cars been parked for 2 weeks waiting for the parts). I get a call a few days later to inform me the part is here and I can pick it up. It took almost 3 weeks. I ordered two pairs of shoes from a company based out of Hong Kong and received them quicker in the same timeframe while I was waiting for these rotors. I didn't appreciate being lied to because that's exactly what happened here because the first part didn't just disappear and it was most likely given to the service department or gave it to another customer and it had to be re-ordered the second time I called but nobody wants to fess up and admit that these was a mixup. I won't be back, I'll drive my butt to Simi Valley next time I need anything Kia related. Again, this has 0 to do with sales or Kia as a company, just the parts department. read more

Bought a 2021 Telluride in October 2020 sales guy was good and the buying process was fine. It is what has transpired after that has led to this negative review. Off the truck the car had a scratch on the bumper and a 3in gash on the crash pad next to the windshield. Okay no problem not the dealers fault but it needs to be fixed. They proceed to not order the part until I call 3 months later asking what the status is. The only way I'd get any updates is by calling the tech directly which was a pain. Once it was finally in (3 more months later) they need some time to fix it no big deal. I tell them the date I'm coming and tell them i need a loaner car, pretty standard. Well i bring my car in and they have no loaner car so I have to comeback the next day and they'd have one. Okay this is getting annoying now. I come back the next morning 7am and still no loaner. WTF? They give me a car off the lot with the window sticker on still...okay whatever. I get the car back a few days later looks good. They are sorry for the mixup and say I'd be taken care of my next service. So I give them one more chance I schedule my 7500 mile standard service for today 08/13/21 7:30 am. They say its gonna be 2-3 hours okay whats the point of an appointment? After 3 hours my car is in the parking lot with no one around I ask the service department whats going on with it? And see my keys on an empty desk. The service guy says "oh he left" Uhhhh what?? Did he not tell people what was happening? The status of the vehicle or anything? He says it's done and hands me my keys. I still got plastic on the seat and paper in the footwell from when they drove it. Come on now!! Then i fire it up. Service light comes on. Good lord! So I go back in and tell them they didn't clear the service light. They come out and fix it. But at this point I don't even trust they did the service correctly. I wouldn't trust them to wash my car let alone change the oil. Just take it to valvoline. read more

We drive to 2 lots over half hour, to find the car. Test drove then back to sit with older guy who "knows my former town" that was another half hour of nothing to do with the car. They finally give numbers and its $3k more than quote. Accessories. You have a loan but let me get your financing... I eventually left. What a waste of time after a long day at work. Me and my gf came to this dealership shopping for a new car on Labor Day but left with an experience we'll never forget. The salesperson assisting us was Abby (she is very kind and polite). After some negotiations and informing her that we were going to look for a better offer elsewhere, her manager Suit Kakkar came over to talk to us. He came with 2 different estimates however we were not satisfied with his offers. I asked him "Is this the best you can do?" He replied yes. I then told him, "Thank you but we'll pass on the offers, can I take the estimates with me?". He rudely said "No! These are private" and simultaneously snatched the papers(estimates) from my reach and handed them over to Abby. He then just walked away without saying a word to us, not a thank you, I appreciate your time, we're here if you need anything, nothing was said at all. Not to mention when we were negotiating with him he rudely said "Well if you want a nice car this is what you have to pay", is that polite for a "manager" to say to customers? The way he reacted to me rejecting his offer and asking to keep the estimates for my reference was unprofessional and rude without any valid justification. I understand if the papers were confidential but he didn't have to react that way. I'm not sure how a POS like him can be a manager. I'm certain that he has a negative personality as you could immediately feel the tension amongst his peers as soon as he was present. Anyways, we made our way to Kia DTLA right after and purchased a brand new vehicle from them that same day. We got a better deal there and they treated us with respect. Definitely would NOT recommend this dealership, at least not as long as Suit is the manager. Take your business elsewhere he doesn't deserve it. read more

If I could live zero stars I would. My car broke down on the freeway I brought it to the shop and they said my engine is broken. They couldn't give me a new car until the warranty people came in the warranty people said they couldn't fix it even though I've been getting regular oil changes. So my dad and I look up on the Internet about the 2016 Kia soul and we find that there is a recall on the engine. Still no one wants to replace my engine. I'm updating my review because I'm really upset. I'm not taking back my review of the process of leasing my new car cause it was really great. But now everything that's happened after is a nightmare. About a month ago I had my keys stolen. I had no spare because they said it was backordered when I leased my car in September. Come the end of December, still had no spare. I had no way to move my car, and resulted in towing it. Since I leased the car, the advantage is having roadside assistance, but Kia roadside assistance would barely work with me to get my car towed to the dealership, and when I asked Kia of Van Nuys to help tow my car they said they couldn't help. So I paid out of pocket $330 to get my car towed to the dealership for them to program a new key for me. I was in contact with RJ throughout the process, but he was no help. He kept saying service will let me know when my car is ready. No one called to tell me it was ready, I just ubered there after 24 hours. RJ wasn't even there and not on single employee had any idea which car I was talking about or where my car was. After waiting 25 minutes they finally found my car and the new programmed key... NOW I'm getting collection notifications from the car that I traded in to get my new car. Kia still hasn't claimed liability for my old car. I had to go to the dmv website to release liability. Going on 5 months since trading in my old car and getting a new one, things are still popping up. To say I'm upset is an understatement. read more
