    All for $38!

LASHES FOR DAYZ BABY! Came across this gem because one of my aunties recommended it and boy do they have a large selection of wispies, double stacked, and more! For $1-$3 you've got yourself a single pair of lashes. Lucky enough I was able to grab enough pairs for my sis and me. Aside from their lashes, they also have cosmetic products (NYX & LA girl), clothing, and accessories. Can't wait to come back to stock up for more!

False eyelash heaven!!! 5 stars for the great selection of false lashes! I posted a picture of a few that I picked up (I actually stocked up on way more :P) The cheapest pair is $1.39. They carry other brands like red cherry, creme & more for less than $2! Seriously can't get any cheaper than that! If it's your first time here, expect to get lost in the "variety" of whozits & whatzits galore. This is a great one stop shop for affordable accessories (makeup, stockings, socks, jewelry, hats, etc) Also don't forget to bring cash, as they have a minimum charge on debit/credit.

This is one of my favorite shops in San Francisco and I think in a quirky way it kind of is a Hidden Gem! I've been going to their shop since I was a little girl and have always loved the "variety" of things that they have. They have everything from false eyelashes to socks to tights, to plain backbacks, to jewelry, scarves, and right now they have a lot of Barack memorabilia. The owners are really nice and they're happy to help you. I just got some new jewelry there and I can't wait to wear it. Before my trip to Uganda I went here to stock up on tee shirts, pants, and plain socks. I get everything here. It's also really nice to support this store and not the big department stores like Target or Walmart and to put money back into local businesses into our own communities. One of my New Year's resolution is to not use Amazon anymore and to shop more locally and this is a great place to do so. I hope this place stays around forever. Definitely a local spot.

You'll find currently trendy products like snail secretion skin care, hair curlers, bb cream, cc cream, etc. Most of the beauty products (skin care, cosmetics) are from Korea, from brands like Etude House, Toly Moly, and Skinfood. They can also pre-order items from those lines. The Milk Talk body lotion smells like milkshakes. Expect to find really cute packaging but not a lot of English on the packaging. There are testers of most of the beauty products. The shop is tiny but crammed full of clothes, lingerie, stockings, shoes, scarves, purses, jewelry, iPhone accessories and makeup. Not everything has a price but the things that had prices were very reasonably priced. The clothes and accessories are in the $20-$30 range. Some of it was cute - especially if you are a girly girl who likes bows, ribbons, ruffles, lace and faux fur (e.g., faux fur bras). However the material is predominantly synthetic. I couldn't figure out the sizes of some items. The shoes all look small, size 6 small. The skirts are super short. They have iPhone bumpers with Hello Kitty bows, iPhone cases that look like Dior nailpolish bottles I received a free sample and very courteous service. My picks: * Baby Milo iPhone screen protectors for iPhone 5 ($10) * Hello Kitty bow style iPhone bumpers for iPhone 4 * Etude House strawberry lip cream ($6, smells wonderful) * Pocket bunny moist mist - love the bunny packaging

Neither of us wear makeup on a regular basis, and my techniques were stuck in 2008 lol. So the class was a much needed refresher on current makeup trends. I really like all the products I purchased, though my partner picked up some duds (bad packaging, dry product) so in the future, we will make sure everything is working properly before the return window lapses, because these products are not cheap!

"Beauty is skin deep"…read more Japan and Korea are the leaders in innovative skincare so it makes sense that many women gravitate to Asian brands. Longtime Japanese luxury brand Shiseido has been creating well loved skincare and cosmetics since 1872. I ran out of eye cream so I tried some at a Korean brand shop that I like. It was fine, but not what I am used to. I am accustomed to skincare that my skin quickly "drinks" opposed to feeling waxy on the surface of my skin. If I have to pat the product for absorption over an extended period of time - it isn't worth it. I was walking out of the Japantown "mall" to get fresh mochi across the street when I saw the awning to this shop with Shiseido products prominently displayed in the window. I asked for eye cream. I was shown their options. I used one option she showed me for a year until it was empty (thats why I was there). I tried different products I was curious about as well. 10 minutes in the shop and I was out of there! The ladies who assisted me were professional, courteous, and helpful with answering my questions. I didn't feel pressured to try or buy anything more than what I wanted. This shop sells another brand - but I wasn't interested. My sensitive skin loves the eye cream. The jar is enough to last about half a year - so consider that along with the effectiveness and voila - it was a great deal! I am thankful for my fuss free purchase. I will return when my balancing elixir runs out.

What stood out unfortunately was the lack of professionalism from someone I believe to have been the store manager. Despite wearing a name tag there was no greeting acknowledgment or basic courtesy. This was disappointing especially as it reflects a pattern I've noticed at multiple Sephora locations throughout the Bay Area. Interestingly this level of unfriendliness has not been my experience at Sephora stores elsewhere. Sephora's products are premium priced particularly in today's economy. When customers are choosing to spend their money here the expectation of basic warmth and respect is not unreasonable. It is difficult to justify supporting a business when paying feels like an inconvenience rather than a valued exchange. Customer experience matters and this visit fell short.
