Unfortunately I will no longer be shopping here. The older lady who works here is very sweet and always makes me feel welcome. However when she's not there it's a different story. Today was the last straw for me. I felt very unwelcome shopping here and strongly believe it's because I'm a Black woman. Any intelligent person could notice the context clues and see I'm not a thief (dressed neatly and stylishly, I'm polite and make eye contact). Even worse today I was wearing my work apron (for crafting not cooking) , making it very obvious I work in the area. I try to treat every person who comes into the store I work in, with a genuine greeting, and respect, regardless of race. If you really suspect someone is stealing (use your brain look at context clues OTHER than skintone) there are ways to dissuade without following them around or talking about them. It's unfortunate because I enjoyed this store, even sending friends from school or customers from my shop that way. I definitely won't be doing that any longer. read more

BEST STORE EVER!! (FOR GIRLS ONLY) This place have everything you need for parties and raves!! The store literally has a variety of things that you can buy. I came a cross this store a year ago, and I can't help but buy something whenever I am in the area. Everything you find here is super cheap. The eye lashes here are only $1.39 a set w/o the cover. But most eye lashes are only $1.99, and their eye lashes are pretty nice. They also have cute stockings/socks which cost $3.50. It's the same quality you find at Party City, but it cost more like $10 there (almost triple the price). They also carry make up, wigs, and a few costumes for halloween. Their make up is fair price, they have a variety of eye shadows, lip gloss, glitter, etc. If you're a girl, you can spend good amount of time in this store checking all the makeup out. For guys, not so much. My boyfriend hates it whenever I am in this store because I spend at least 30 minutes looking around. So if you're bringing your boyfriend in this store or a guy friend, make sure they are patient. There is really no customer service in this store, only the cashier. So if you need to find something, you'll just have to hunt it down and look around. Overall, happy that I found this shop!! The store is not that small, descent size. They sell clothes too in the very back of the store but pretty old fashion/outdated clothes, unless you want to dress like a granny/grandpa then go head and buy the clothes here. There is so much stuff in this store, i cannot list them all, you just need to come here and check it out yourself. Oh yeah, they do accept credit card but I think it is at least $10 minimum. This place is the best, and I hope it sticks around for many more years. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. Back then I used to go here for stationary goods, but now they place is a one stop beauty, accessory, and other odds and ends shop. They don't joke around when they say it's a variety shop. If you're into lashes look no further, you can find them for a good price here, and its all high quality. I would buy my glue somewhere else though. Anything you need, they even have house wear, tools, batteries, lighters, clothing, and lingerie. It's a great place to shop for gifts as well. Keep in mind that if you pay cash you can avoid the extra fee vs using debit card. The guy that runs and owns the place is super down to earth, and is frills free. This is one of my favorite shops in San Francisco and I think in a quirky way it kind of is a Hidden Gem! I've been going to their shop since I was a little girl and have always loved the "variety" of things that they have. They have everything from false eyelashes to socks to tights, to plain backbacks, to jewelry, scarves, and right now they have a lot of Barack memorabilia. The owners are really nice and they're happy to help you. I just got some new jewelry there and I can't wait to wear it. Before my trip to Uganda I went here to stock up on tee shirts, pants, and plain socks. I get everything here. It's also really nice to support this store and not the big department stores like Target or Walmart and to put money back into local businesses into our own communities. This store.... Is just like its name. You will get such a variety coming here. My boyfriend actually found this store for me via yelp and I'm so thankful! I've already shared it with friends. It's great to come in here and see several brands of makeup and eyelashes as well as jewelry and other beauty products! I come here strictly for that but they also sell clothes, bags, lingerie! I come here strictly for the lashes and some NYX products. My recent visit was lead to disappointment as I found that they are no longer selling red cherry lashes, but cherry blossom. Although both are common brands among the manufacturers for lashes, I opt for red cherry because there is a significant difference in terms of the quality.
