I've been long term costumer at Veggie Grill Since 2014 and the last time my friends and I went our burgers were still a bit raw but burnt a bit on the outside. I ordered the Maverick burger and I've gotten this burger many times to notice the difference.. it was just poorly done with this huge chunk of lettuce and didn't taste the way it usually does my onion rings were extremely dry and we all honestly regretted eating here rather at another location. we have ordered several times and it's been absolutely fantastic but that last 2 times had issues. the order from yesterday was missing the entire tostada bowl for the southwest taco salad(photo provided). the item is $24.50 UE gave me a whole $5.49 refund yippie. also the portions have shrunk significantly even when you order extra tex mex crumbles it's still only about .5 cup the previous order was weird too so much water in the southwest taco salad lettuce I had to dump it out of the container and the mac and cheese was awful. otherwise the flavor and quality is great. read more

We stopped at the Veggie Grill on our way to the Greek Theater. They have a variety of plant based items to choose from. My husband and I were. a bit overwhelmed and ended up choosing the VG classic burger, the Redwood Truffle burger (summer special) and fries. The classic burger was what you would expect for a basic plant based burger. I believe the patty was beyond meat which isn't our favorite but the homemade sauce and brioche bun made up for that. The Redwood patty was made up of mushrooms, which I love, although I think it would have been better on a brioche bun. It was on a whole wheat bun and the ratio of meat to bun was a bit off (too much bun). The house made forest sauce was tremendous. It had a nice creamy, ranch dressing type taste with what looked like some green herbs. The fries were thick and had a nice crisp. My husband also tried the Belgium chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies. The cake was rich but not overly sweet and had a very soft texture. The cookies were extremely good and tasted just like "regular" chocolate chip cookies. We can't wait to come back and try the other items on their menu. read more

So I'm a bit disappointed and underwhelmed. This used to be my favorite salad but either this location has changed the ingredients or someone doesn't know how to follow a recipe. Overall the salad was good, but it's filled with some random spring mix that even the staff couldn't identify. I'm just not a big fan of lettuce leaves with big stems on them. Thankfully i got the dressing on the side because it tasted so sweet! And a little disappointed they don't carry any kind of sweetener or sweetener for the unsweetened tea. I don't consume sugar and apparently that's the only option. My friend has Buffalo mini wraps. She enjoyed these, but wish there was a little more to them. As for the place itself, it was very clean. They had many sanitizer stations throughout the place, including at the counter. The restrooms are outside and you need a code to get in. I had already walked out once only to learn i needed a code, and once i went back in and given code (i was not going to remember, and was feeling a bit irritated at this point) I opted to just use the hand sanitizer and sit down rather than walk back out in the heat, hoping to remember a code, just to wash my hands. Overall this place just didn't thrill me. Not really happy with the change to the kale salad. And definitely not happy that employees can't identify ingredients in their food. With so many other vegan options in the area, i can't say i would come back here. But they aren't terrible. And the place is clean and following Covid protocol. So.... yea. read more

Sad to give such a low review for VG but unfortunately this location wasn't that great for couple of times already. Made a quick lunch break stop, and it definitely was not worth it. I know that VG has amazing food ( my fav are Cesar salad and Santa Fe Chicken plus chocolate mousse- so delicious! ) and this is why I am writing this review, as it would be sad for someone who never tried VG, to stop here and get disappointed. My Santa Fe chicken was burnt, including a bun... I am not that picky and would not mind if it was just a bit, but in this case whole sandwich was burnt and something like that should never be served to a customer. My whole car still smells like burnt bread. Thumbs up for fries. Very sad to leave this review, but customers who are looking to try VG for the first time should definitely know that other locations serve better food. read more

First time here, so I had no expectations. The place is easy to spot, right on the corner. There doesn't seem to be a parking lot exclusive for the restaurant. But on a Sunday, we were able to find street parking. I imagine during the week it's much harder to find parking. That area seems pretty busy during the week. The layout of the place is not horrible as one reviewer complained about. I personally liked it, you have the counter where you order and then walk around the counter and down to the seating area. They bring your order to you, which is a plus. You can easily find a private nook to eat alone or eat in the larger area. Lots of outside seating as well. Bathrooms are outside, but very clean. We had a party of 12 and had no problem sitting inside together family style. The food was good overall. Here's a breakdown of what our group ordered and how it tasted. Nachos - A must! Buffalo chicken sandwich- really good, but wasn't hot enough in temperature. Chili fries- very good, carne asada burrito- Tasted great, but texture seemed off, meat was chewy. Mac and cheese- tasted like the real deal. Spicy Crap sandwich- very good. V.G burger- meat too thin, didn't like the charcoal taste. Tasted processed. Chicken wrap- good. Raspberry cheese cake- okay Carrot cake- very good. This place is great for a lunch spot and a good alternative for fast food. It's not fine dinning for sure. Much of the food is processed vegan food, so it isn't a healthy choice unless you stick to the salads and bowls. I didn't try those, so I can't say they're not pre-made. Overall, it's affordable vegan fare and for lunch, it won't disappoint you. It was a fun day and we enjoyed the experience. Give me a few months and I would most definitely come back. read more

I have not always loved veggie grills food, but after several years I went back and am always pretty happy with what I get. One of my faves is to order the kids meal burger. You get the burger, fries, a drink and a desert all for under $10. The Caesar salad, the b wing salad and the southwest nachos are also some of my go tos. The service in Toluca lake has been wonderful with smiling and happy workers. If you order online it will be ready pretty quickly and they will accommodate any dressing requests as well. This specific location has a nice outdoor patio to sit on, there is also some inside seating as well. Very happy with this veggie grill, so go and try it out. read more

I am new to vegan food and I truly did not taste a difference. All that I tasted was burst of delicious flavors. I ordered the chicken nachos from the New Mexican food menu and they had SO MUCH FLAVOR! I will be looking forward to returning. They also had 3 options for salsa. I had the mild which was green and wasn't too hot, it had just enough flavor. However, the nachos already had so much flavor the salsa wasn't even needed. Even the chips had the perfect amount of crunch and did not over power all of the flavors. I'm so excited to try more items on the menu. read more

My friend and I went for lunch the other day and I wasn't planning to eat much because we were going to eat more elsewhere, but one of the things I liked about this place is how much food you get for the price! I ordered the bulgogi bowl (a newer offering, I believe), and it was huge! I could have taken half home easily, so really worth the price. It was so tasty, too! I also got a strawberry lemonade which was pretty good, though I like them even more sugary! Haha. Drove to Toluca lake to pick up dinner tonight from Woodland Hills because we miss our local veggie grills more than anything. I must say, it was beyond worth the drive, Claudia was working tonight, which was amazing, she was so helpful, very friendly, so kind and so nice. We have been with Veggie Grill for a very long time, it's our favorite, but unfortunately Woodland Hills, Westlake & Encino all closed. So we drive a long way to Toluca lake a couple times a month. (we use to have it a few times a week) Claudia is exceptional, I remember how much I liked her when I met her many years ago at other locations, and was so happy to see her tonight. I have an almond allergy and she took special care to check the recipe of their new burger. It's a good thing that she is so thorough. She saw that there was an issue changed the patty for me. I'm so grateful for her attention to detail. The drive is 34 miles round trip. We make the trip because we love the food but, Claudia's wonderful service totally makes the drive worth it. I really wanted to love the VG and dig their app that I downloaded. 5 stars for Lashette but sadly 2.5 stars for the cauliflower mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. Weird but I brought it up to a 3 stars with some truffle seasoning I had in my purse. Maybe I should order the Moroccan lentil soup instead since I had a sample and it tasted better than faux mash. "Gateway" vegan food. Gorgeous location, still working out some opening kinks but good, comforting "fast" plant based eats. Most dishes are unhealthy and scrumptious. First-timers should get the wings and the tempura green beans as apps, a buffalo chicken sandwich and chocolate chip cookie and branch out from there. My thing is the Sonoran Bowl. It's filling for me, but there's an option to add protein. Love the seasonal offerings, but usually stick with my main love. Ultimately you can't go wrong with any dish. Fair serving sizes, prices, and speedy service (MOST of the time). Great catering option that will be the hit of any party - the wing tray. I am so happy this place is here and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite go-to places for lunch/dinner. A great choice for delivery since you can order ahead in their app, and earn reward points. I recommend ordering ahead for pick-up since there are limited seating options. There is some seating inside, but not really for bigger groups of people. Somewhat expensive for the portion sizes, but quality and delicious food. All the salads and burgers are incredible; truly vegan's heaven on earth. AMAZING sweet potato fries. They are definitely a staple in all of my orders. I've had multiple salads and sandwiches from here and have enjoyed every single one. I personally love the quinoa power salad and the bbq chickin' salad. They have seasonal specials with 5-6 special dishes, so be sure to check out new menu items as they come in. Obviously, it is great for vegans/vegetarians but there aren't as many gluten-free options as I was hoping there to be. My sister (who is not vegan/vegetarian) loves to come here with me and gets the "bacon" impossible burger. It is one of her favorite things and she says you can't even tell it's plant-based. Another veggie grill near me... well this one is closer than others. I finally stopped in the other day with mi amor and we had a small feast of seasonal eats.. paleo noodle sausage for this guy and a farm style feast for the other... we split some b wings together as well which was the best part.... but before we get into that... We debated ordering on one of the touch screens which we might do next time as it was very easy to use and right there for you upon walking in much like a few fast restaurants we've seen have the options lately like Burger King (home of the beyond whopper) and Doomies Next Mex (in Hollywood). We were paying with cash and the touch screens are card, app and digital pay only... I believe... so we walked to the left of the front entrance over to the counter area... It was really clean with a larger book-ish self against the far wall were they store deliver orders and pick ups... but this whole half of the store is a little confusing as to where the line actually started and began, what kind of beverages they do or don't offer... The line to order was roped off, however it was only two of them parallel to each other like train track... they weren't face to the counter so this was a bit odd as we had multiple people ask about the start of the line.... besides this them only having one or two take home menus available that everyone had to reuse and share was a disappointment... they were out of a lot of canned and bottle beverages in front and even lower on desserts... I was surprised this location doesn't serve wine and beer like a lot of others but really enjoyed the layout and a portion of our food which portion sizes were less than average for the paleo dish. Aside from food and decor taboos... this was a positive experience with and amazing VG crew. A rustic hipster bistro cafe of vegan food and minimalist decor. This is a tiny veggie grill. Way different from the rest in how small it is. They are clearly trying their best to make this little location work, but it is a struggle. There is not a lot of seating inside, mostly outside, and there is very little parking. The ordering area is tiny, so they try to compensate for that by having screens to order on, but the screens do not have the kids meals, so that is really irritating. Overall though, the customer service was fine. It was clean. The food was good. It is just cramped. read more

My favorite part was the avocado and the dressing. First impression was that it was pricey for what it is, but well worth it for the fresh ingredients. The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd, but very cool to have kiosks to order from. Will have to try their assortment of fresh drinks at the self serve juice station. Vegan is not my favorite cuisine, but since three of the five in our party are vegans, we didn't have much choice. Fortunately, there are McDonald's nearby if I have to supplement. Still, the food was tasty. I had the Classic Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. It wasn't bad at all. I also had some chocolate chip cookies for dessert, which were quite tasty. One of my nieces had the kale Caesar salad, don't ask me why. Another had the buffalo wings. My brother had the turkey sandwich and his husband had the masala curry bowl. Everyone was happy with their selections. For dinner for five, the price wasn't all that bad. With tip and drinks (non-alcoholic) we got out at just over $118. Considering that this is Los Angeles, the prices aren't out of line. If I'm back in town and I have to eat with a vegan, I would come here again. If I'm back in town and I get to pick the restaurant, it will serve meat. But that's just my preference. read more
