I've never had worse customer service with Verizon... I've been with them 15 years.. went in to upgrade two of my phones but also to revise my plan cause it's astronomically high for two phone lines. $300 total a month is too much for us for two lines now a days. But on the other hand Abby was a great help, super friendly and knowledgeable, great with customers. Maybe she could teach her manager a thing or two. Jeff the manager straight up cuts the customer off, talks at you and is by far the rudest person I've been dealt with in regards to Verizon.. because of that I can't give my business to this store and maybe even as a whole. Absolutely the best customer service experience I've come across in a long time. I was greeted right away by Sambra. I told her I'm looking for a signal booster. She says, "You must mean a network extender." I'm like, "I dunno. Tell me about it." (I was getting hangry so she needed to work fast.) She laid it all out for me and I was like, "SOLD!" Off she went to retrieve it. I did a little browsing. The store was busy that day, but all the associates had everything under control. I was amused by the clown car effect of the associates popping out of the back office one-by-one as it got busier. Sambra returned and told me they were all sold out. H-E-double-hockey-sticks! Apparently, it's a hot item! Would I like her to order one for me? I have like one bar at my new apartment and I was desperate. Let's place the order, ya know? Then she noticed my upgrade and mentioned I could get the new galaxy tab for like nothing. Ok, why not, I gotta leave with something, right? Off again she went. Uh, oh...my battery was hovering near 60%. "Can i get a quick charge while I wait?", I prompted Alejo behind the counter. "Absolutely!", he says and off he went. Here comes Sambra with a little basket. What's in the basket? Just my new tablet, a couple of cases to try and the screen protector. While I was looking more closely, I realized just how many people were in the store now. Holy cow! Was there a sale? Is it a flash mob? Let's boogie to some Cascada. Evacuate the dance floor, my man! While Sambra was configuring my tablet, Amanda the manager came up with some wonderful news. They found a network extender that a customer decided to cancel. "Sign me up! High five!", I was overjoyed! As Amanda left to set up my new extender she offered me some water while I waited. I don't think I've ever spent this much time at a wireless store ever, but I honestly didn't mind. These guys were going above and beyond to get me everything I needed. I was a Verizon customer for over 17 years, paying their overpriced rates all the time. I went to the Irvine store to add another phone. The manager, John, insisted that I get two jet packs that "would not cost me a dime". He was right because it cost me an extra $50.00 per month each. I came into the store during the holidays to trade in my old iPhone and was treated with such professionalism I was blown away! The rep took all the time needed to answer my questions and made me comfortable with the decision. She said that it could take a week or more to get my phone - it actually arrived in less than 48 hours! I had to return for a minor reason and was again treated with great customer service. I used the phone service to purchase a wifi device and pick it up at the location. This went very smooth, but when I realized that it didn't fit my needs I returned it within the three days to avoid paying the activation charge, but they never went in and took it off my bill. I also noticed that they never canceled the line either, so I tried calling their number listed online and it dumps you to a call center and leaves you on an infinite hold. The one thing this has taught me is this store is either incompetent or doesn't care about their customers, because now I have to drive 30 minutes out of my way to go have them fix their mistake that costs me $65 a month. Truthfully the only reason that this store is still open is simply due to supply and demand -- it's one of the few Verizon stores in OC (that is not an authorized retailer). So maybe that is why they let their employee behave like a crude, crass, used-car salesman (no offensive to used-car peeps), but seriously I spent barely 15 mins with Employee S. It's so weird I am purchasing a phone that you have to ship to my house because you don't have it in stock, and I'm cool with that, yet you have an attitude and want to act like I'm inconveniencing your day because you have to place the order. TRUST if I could've ordered it online and figured it out, I would have to avoid the rude Verizon staff. Employee S was a bully who demanded I purchase all of these necessary products to support my new iPhone (which is fine but explain why I need them; don't just tell me to get them). As I cross-referenced information and prices on the new cable and chargers online, Employee S only became more irritated and adamant that I purchase these products with her nowhere else. Still, her mobile register wasn't working, so I had to follow her two separate times to make two individual transactions while finally checking out, wasting so much unnecessary time. When I finally escaped this energy-draining toxic dark cloud -- Employee S was calling and texting me since she failed to provide me with the box to ship my old phone back in. I had so much anxiety going to that store I had to send a courier to pick up the box (they really should add some color In there). I am writing this review on my new pink mini 13. YAY! Instead of going back to the Verizon store where I purchased the phone to help put my new screen protector on, I went to the AT&T store in HB on Brookhurst and Adams. They kindly assisted me in putting my screen protector on in their clean, bright, bubbly store with good positive vibes (if only they could get Verizon's coverage). Although very timely, I usually wait 30+ mins to speak to someone; the phone representatives at Verizon are always very kind, informative, and patient displaying a willingness to help. Maybe my rep was having an off day, but that doesn't excuse the rude hall monitor who yelled at my mom for momentarily parking in the curbside pick up either. Beware of the dishonest employee practices at this location. I went in to switch providers and ended up getting a new phone. Kha insisted that the phone came with a "free" 2 month protection plan, but in reality you WILL be charged for it. Not until I insisted I did not want any protection plan or free protection did my estimated monthly bill miraculously go down by $15 a month. Do not accept any free promotions or offers, it's just a scam. The employees make commissions by lying to you and withholding valuable information. read more

Today I made the trek into Verizon to get myself a new phone! I've been wanting to get the IPhone X for awhile now, so I was excited to get it. My mom and I got there right when they opened which was great. We got help right away and I looked around at the different phones. I decided to get the IPhone X over the IPhone XR because I liked the screen look on the IPhone X better. We were helped by Ashawnta who was super friendly and very informative. She was able to help me make a decision on which phone to get by telling me the prices differences, and the other different features. I then decided on the IPhone X. She went to the back to get the phone while my mom and I wandered around looking at all the different accessories. I ended up getting a glass screen protector and wireless headphones to go with my phone. Ashawnta helped us set up my phone and transfer everything over for my old phone to my new phone. She even offered me a trade in for cash for my old phone which I ended up using on my new phone. Overall we had a great experience here today! Ashawnta was great and very helpful. I do not know how I could express my appreciation and gratitude to Bernice and Nick but with writing this review. I went to Verizon store in Westminister and after 6 hours, they added 2 lines that I did not ask, cleaned my history and totally messed up my iphone watch meaning disconnected and connected to SE phone line. I went to Costa Mesa Verizon. Bernice immediately called to disconnect the two lines connected to my bill without my consent and knowledge. She spoke with Verizon and sort out my plan and together with Nick, they helped me to set up the business plan correctly (unlike Westminster store) and connected my watch again. My plan is cheaper and better-thanks to them. They know their stuff and they are good at what they do. They are courteous, knowledgable, friendly and kind. Thank you Bernice and Nick. read more

Verizon took out a total of $741.00 from my bank account (with statements to prove it) and is saying i owe them $484.00. 6. Speaking with the representative she said they will review my bank statements and give me a refund of all transactions that were made because there were no payments that were showing on her end to verizon. I am going to give this location two stars, ONLY because I went in the other day and purchased some products with no hassle or issue. I needed some iPhone chargers for work - and was driving by and decided to stop. I walked right in, was helped right away, and it was effortless. My previous experiences with this store were nowhere near effortless. I have been a Verizon customer for as long as I can remember - and thats a long time. I have NO idea why I keep renewing, except for the fact that I always wanted a new, better phone. The phones were always new, but never better. I received an iPhone through work, with AT&T and for the past 10 months or so, my Verizon Android has sat on the counter at home, not charged and not used. I went through Blackberry after Blackberry with Verizon, constantly having them replaced to only have the same crappy problems. I finally switched over to the Storm, and had it replaced FOUR times before giving up and finally moving on to the Droid Incredible. That phone, is NOT incredible. It was at this location that I purchased my Incredible. I saw it at Target, but was not able to renew my contract there, so I went to Verizon and asked them to match the price. They refused. I asked for a manager, and finally - after saying I would call another phone company to switch and have them pay out the end of my contract with Verizon and walking out the door, the manager decided she would offer me the same deal Target was. It involved a rebate, a credit, a discount, all sorts of shenanigans, BUT she was all of a sudden able to do it. AFTER AN HOUR. Thanks for wasting my time and finally giving in. I had purchased an extra charger from the store, and it broke within a few months. Apparently it was not a "typical" problem so of course it wasnt covered by the warranty. And just like someone else mentioned in their review, I was cut off and the employee shouted over me, "Next customer please". I went from about 13,000 text messages a month to not one single one. I do not use my phone, yet I pay over $100 a month for it. I refuse to give up my account because I have had my phone number forever, but I think when my contract is up, I will switch over to AT&T with my phone number. I will have two iPhones, one for home and one for work, but whatever. I cant wait to be away from Verizon. I cant even begin to tell you how many times I have been in this store, only to be told "Theres nothing we can do"... its beyond crappy service. I don't know what happened to this store. I have been going there for the last 5 years and felt like they cared about customer service. I checked in and waited for my turn. After noticing three reps hovering at the door I asked when will I be taken care of and then I they said I was up next. A minute later they guy said "ok, I can help you." I asked several questions about a new Iphone 8 and 10. I asked if Apple had an extended battery and I felt like I was pulling teeth to get information. I had to use their Ipad to look it up myself...then I called Apple. I ended up purchasing the Iphone 8 plus and the glass screen saver. I asked the guy to set up the phone for me and put on the screen saver but said he doesn't do that. I left the store feeling like I used to get better service when they gave the phones away for free with a 2 year contract. I then went on to the Apple store and asked to buy the battery and they said they didn't make one for that phone. I am sorry but if you're selling phones and can't even answer simple questions then you need to find another job "Verizon Sales Rep." I bought another phone from Apple. They put on the screen saver. They gave the screen saver to me for free. I left the apple store feeling like they care about service. I went back to the Verizon store and unfortunately for me got there at 8:00 pm. I know they close at 8 but there were a half dozen people there. One of their reps saw me at the door and ignored me. Actually, they guy was rude. Believe me....this place has gone downhill. My perception is that people don't care to give good customer service. Believe me, I will return the phone and screen saver tomorrow morning. I will be speaking with the manager. I will get my refund and I will never be back. Rude and poor service doesn't work for me. Your reps need to learn about the phones they sell. read more

If you live on the Newport peninsula, I cannot stress this enough: do NOT use Verizon. There is terrible coverage in this area. Pros: Verizon customer support personnel are nice and helpful. They've really tried to help. They sent me a 4G LTE network extender (Google/YouTube what this is) free of charge to try and help. However they're online IT and UX is terrible. Cons: - by far the worst cell coverage in the area. I've had AT&T (which worked fairly well, but not great in the area [Newport peninsula specifically]), as well as Google Fi (Sprint + T-Mobile backbone, which worked better. Best of the three), and Verizon is BY FAR the worst. - data coverage isn't much better either. This isn't limited to Newport peninsula, this has been throughout Orange County. I've had persistent data coverage issues. - sales practices. I went with Verizon because of their reputation, but also because they offered me a $600 voucher for sending in my Google Pixel 3a (which I LOVED, but all my friends hated that I was on Android which doesn't pair well with 99% of people using iOS). However, this discount is only applicable if I stay with Verizon for 24 months. This discount is applied monthly, so each month I get a $25 discount on my bill of the ~$1,100 phone. So if I leave now, my discount is only $100 after 4 months with Verizon. I asked my sales rep many times for clarification on this, and he said that I could pay off the balance of the phone after three months. I made sure to ask that it would be the full discount. He NEVER mentioned that I would only get the full voucher after 24 months. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company or brand. This has been a nightmare. IF the network extender (that I mentioned above) works and I get cell coverage at my house, then I will begrudgingly stay with Verizon SOLELY to avoid the separate nightmare of returning everything (including the phone which I still owe ~$900 on) and switching back to AT&T (I cannot suffer the green bubble anymore, sorry Google, you were great while it lasted). DO NOT get Verizon if you're in Newport. read more

Not a good experience. It took over 2 hours to upgrade my phone and I knew what I wanted when I walked in. The rep was fumbling and obviously inexperienced. The equipment she was using seemed dicey as well. Not a good combo. When the rep in charge of business accounts joined us to help, it still took another hour after that to walk out the door. Towards the end of two hours, I was frustrated and asked how much longer. He snipped at me that they didn't have to help me "set up my phone." Uh, dude, that wasn't what the delay was. So I came to this location to upgrade to the iPhone 8 today. I was here for at least an hour to leave with no iPhone. The guy who helped me was nice but he kept coming to ask me things then disappearing in the back and coming out to ask me something else that I had already said and it was just going on and on and on to the point I was wondering what he was doing back there! And then he finally comes out to tell me they don't have the phone I want and he checked all other locations and they didn't either and to come back tomorrow to get it after they get their shipment and I was like you mean to tell me not one Verizon store in Orange County has this phone ? He said yes. So I left , called the Verizon in Irvine and sure enough they have it! It was time to upgrade my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I usually buy phones from Apple. Since the store is hard to get into right now, I decided to buy from the Verizon store. I have been into the Costa Mesa store on Harbor before and did not have great customer service so I was reluctant to go back there. So I went to the store at Metro Pointe and was told they were closed. I ended up going to the store on Harbor again and spoke with Kyle - REDEMPTION! He is amaaazzzing!!! I was in and out under an hour, he was patient, kind, knowledgeable. They didn't have the phone in stock so I had to drive back to the Metro Pointe to pick up.
