Of course when you have had Verizon for 2 months and EVERYDAY you get a call from some fake Verizon rep telling you that there's an outstanding balance you might be pretty upset about it. I've never ever in my life through 20 years of having cell phones have I ever received so many false calls and advertisement calls. I was in there Sunday Feb 27th to upgrade my phone. I think his name was Felipe, helped me and it was so fast and efficient. He listened to what I needed and was super helpful! (5 Stars for that) but one week later I went in again to upgrade my wife's phone. Instead of getting me what I need they try and tell me I don't understand the memory of the phone and that I need to buy the bigger size. Finally they bring the phone out and they start telling me the promotion that I just did last week is not valid on my account and that I need to upgrade my account. I ask to speak to the manager and he was not evening trying to help or show that he cared about the situation. I left the store, called VZ and was able to buy my phone and pick up in that same store 20 min later. I understand the selling aspect of a VZ store but don't lie to me. Don't get stubborn when I'm not buying your BS and not help a customer that's been with VZ for over 10 years. The sales person and the manager were the worst and showed 0 empathy. Friendly service is only a good thing if you actually provide the desired service. All the employees seemed nice and said hello and bye but what was missing was them actually helping people and doing their job. I think they each spent 50% of their time talking to each other and in the back of the store. Over the weekend my wife and I visited this location, we needed a matter resolved. At some point someone took the liberty change our plan and as a result increase our monthly bill. We went to this location for help, we asked to talk to the manager. After a few minutes of waiting, the manager Jason approached us and told us that he was too busy but was going to have someone else help us. I for one was surprised. I wish I could pull this off at my work, pass a problematic customer to an associate. Eventually George(Manny) approached us and walked us to a table for assistance. I left this place impressed with Manny's professionalism, attentiveness to customer service. We entered upset and left happy. I was actually relieved that Manny helped us out instead of the manager. He went above his duties and did everything possible to help and assure us that everything was fixed. As Manny was helping us, I saw how busy the manager was placing and arranging things through out the store. I guess the managers point of customer service is different from mine. Verizon is the absolute worst. I live in the middle of a huge city with other residents and retailers, and I have absolutely no idea why Verizon can't supply me at least decent service. I drop calls on a regular basis, sometimes up to 8 to 10 times in a 45 minute conversation. I never have any Internet coverage. It's really unbelievable for the price I pay them! Erik the manager is arrogant and uniformed as to basic customer service standards established by law. I don't often actually take the time to review things or service on yelp, but yesterday I went to the Verizon store to get two new phones and add a line to my plan and on the past when I go (not specifically to this location) in I usually feel like the sales associates are trying to blow smoke up my a**, but even though there was a hiccup in the set up Jeremy worked diligently to get it fixed so we wouldn't be inconvenienced by having to call tech support ourselves later. I upgraded my phone just this past Saturday on 4/12/14. I am blanking on names right now, but I think the guy that helped me was named Brian. Verizon should print the name of the person that helped you on the 5,000 receipts they print you telling you how you practically just signed over your entire bank account but you got and upgrade "discount." Anyway, the guy that helped me (if I have his name correctly, Brian) was very nice and helpful. I had just told him how this Verizon store was my favorite because I always receive good service there and my family has bought over 6 phones from store. Well, that great service changed today... My brand new Samsung Galaxy 5S runs out of battery extremely quickly. Last night, I went to sleep and it was at 90%. When I woke up, it was at 63%. All my apps were killed, the wi-fi was on so data wasn't running, blah blah. I do everything I can to save battery and my last phone the Samsung Galaxy S3 never ran out of battery that fast, ESPECIALLY when it wasn't being used. I just paid almost $350 for this phone so I expect the battery to last after only having it for a few days. I went in and asked the associate if he could possibly take a look at it and tell me why it might be running out of battery so fast. I did not get his name, but I will be going back to get his name so I can update this review. He was extremely rude right off the bat and asked "Is this your first smartphone?" with a somewhat condescending tone. He told me that all of my apps are always automatically updating and that I should turn the internet off when I go to sleep. I told him that I never had this problem with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and he cut me off and said "Yeah but this isn't the same phone." NO WAY?! I THOUGHT IT WAS! SHOOT! Then he says "And with this phone it takes more battery to light up the screen." So you're telling me when they made the S5 from the S4 from the S3, they didn't do anything to improve it? Because on the website, all of the stats, even about battery, are supposed to be better on the S5. And the apps are not always updating. I don't have them set to automatically update. It has to ask me permission to update. And it's not like they even get an update all day every day... I was just completely irritated so I left. If I was an employer, even a large, corporate employer, I wouldn't want somone like this working for me. 7/11/2014 update: I have had 3 replacement phones in 3 months because the S5 sucks. Turns out my first phone (the one the guy was rude to me about) really had problems with it. Got a "certified like new" replacement since they don't send new replacements and that had problems. Got ANOTHER certified like new replacement and that one had issues. Finally I have a phone that works after getting another replacement. Nightmare. read more

In August I had service with them for a week. I returned the device within the 14 day return policy. I am still getting bills from them claiming that I still owe them the device & am getting sent to collections. The first few times I went there, I was calm & polite. Today I was furious that I am still getting billed. Not only did the staff & head manager give me attitude, they refused to give me any compensation for wasting my time, gas & energy. I have had to go to the store 5x with no sincere apologies or empathy on their end. Today they made me feel like it was my fault. I regret ever trying Verizon. Don't ever go to this location! Where do I start? I couldn't be more disappointed with the Verizon salesman's, Abe, pushy behavior regarding the turn in of my iPhone X. I initially was hesitant to turn in my device when I switch over from AT&T to Verizon but was encouraged by the salesman over and over to purchase a new device despite not needing one. Instead of being honest and letting me know a new device would be releasing shortly he conned me into purchasing a new device. I couldn't be more disappointed. First of all there is a reason why this location Verizon has 2 1/2 stars. Shouldn't be too difficult to have at least a full 4 stars running a authorized Verizon store. Went in for a simple cell phone upgrade (i am very familiar with cell phone upgrades and purchases, i am tech and cell phone savy), the rep brings out an ipad and iwatch. He tells me and my wife that all i need to pay is the tax for the iwatch which i chose over the ipad (i made sure what i heard was true, ALL I NEED TO PAY IS TAX.) Thinking i got an awesome deal, when my monthly bill came out i was being charged for the iwatch cost of $67.54, which i found out will be charged for next 6 months to pay off the iwatch, which makes sense if i purchased the iwatch full cost. Today i went back in with the Manager present and the same rep, i explained to them what the rep offered me and they basically tell me i was lying because i got no sorry or nothing, and kept fighting back at me with more lies. When in fact the rep lied twice to me, saying he wrote everything down about the cost break down, which never happened, just verbally. Also he said i remember you because i put on a screen protector on your upgraded cell which he did not and i told him i did not purchase a screen protector at that store. Why keep trying to justify that you remember me when you really don't sir. He then tells me oh i must've have been mistaken. At the end as a customer i did not feel satisfied leaving the store with being offered only a $10 off on one of the monthly $10 charges, whoopee~ The Manager and Rep never said sorry to me, they kept saying it was my word against the rep. The manager said i don't want to be a ref here, meaning he was obviously for the home team (verizon store). I end up leaving reaching out and shaking both the Rep and Manager's hand and i said thank you because i know any job dealing with complaints is not easy, i am a very reasonable and respectable person. But these two obviously had an agenda knowing i was going to be in the store today because i came in the day before and they told me the rep i dealt with will be in today. #norespecthere This store is well kept and clean and like i said before i had no issues in the past. here is a TIP for future customers. ANYTIME THEY OFFER YOU A DEAL/UPGRADE OR WHAT NOT, RECORD IT, HAVE THEM WRITE IT DOWN AND SIGN OFF ON IT. Seems like if i had some type of evidence they would have compensated me for more but they only offered a $10. And remember this place is 2 1/2 stars for a reason. I always wondered why they had such a low rank but now i know, learned the hard way. They went from a 5 star to a 1 star for me, says a lot about how this place is run. It's easy to be all smiles when transactions go smoothly, a better business is when you come along a problem and you solve it with the customer leaving happy. I was not happy. I was LIED TO, TRICKED & OVERCHARGED!!! I came in to this store on 5/23/18 for an upgrade. The sales rep approached me and started to assist me. Told him I wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 8 Plus since I was eligible. He tells me instead of paying up front for the phone, $34 will be added onto my monthly bill for the next 24 months to cover the cost of the phone so it will come up to $143 a month, which was odd because my current plan was $88 so the math was way off. He then states that he can get me the plan for $121 a month, which is what it would be regardless if you do the math. Seemed like he threw a bogus higher number out first to make it seem like he was giving me a deal when he later mentioned the actual price of the plan...FIRST RED FLAG! Then he begins his sales pitch by trying to get me to buy all these accessories and add-ons which is fine cuz that's his job. I've been in sales my whole life so I get it. I told him what I needed and what I didn't. He proceeded to push for a glass shield cover which I bought and a wireless charging pad which I didn't really need but was intrigued by. He told me he would give it to me half off for $30 instead of $60. Being that it sounded like a great deal I said I would take it and reiterated that it was $30 to confirm the price. During checkout he stated my total, which seemed higher than expected so for a final time I went over pricing with him to try to understand what I was being charged for and he confirmed I was being charged for the discounted price for the charging pad, glass shield and said the rest was the tax and cost of the actual phone. I wasn't given a receipt and left the store. When I got home I was emailed a receipt to view through the Verizon app. Not only did he charge me full price for the charging pad after stating a different price multiple times but there was also a Verizon protection charge added to my monthly bill that I never agreed on. Clearly I had been tricked and played for a fool! I returned to the store the following day to confront the sales associate. He states that he charged me full price because he waved the $30 upgrade fee. $30 upgrade fee!!!!??? This was the first mention of this. I told him that he never mentioned an upgrade fee during our interaction and why didn't he tell me this. He had no explanation why he chose to not fully explain things to me during our initial interaction. After going back and forth while I confronted him he tells me that he can return the accessory he overcharged me for and charge me the $30 upgrade fee instead. WTF!!! Are you joking me!? You get caught being shady and this is how you try to fix the situation. How do I know that you didn't just make that $30 upgrade fee up to cover yourself for overcharging me after clearly stating a different price multiple times!? I was legit fuming and blown away. At this point I had to stop engaging with him and asked to speak to a manager. The manager was nice and understood why I was upset but I'm still bothered by it. Who knows how many other people he has done this to that haven't notice. I was lucky enough that I caught it. People should never be lied to or taken for a fool especially when it comes to their hard earned money. Although he proclaims that it's not "Larry's Wireless" he gave us spectacular customer service....taking the time to make sure every question we had was answered, to make sure that the phone was in working order, connected to both the Internet and wirelessm. He was knowledgeable, quick, and attentive to all of my mothers questions. Abe made the process to purchase and update our service plan to unlimited so easy. Joe was amazing. I came in with a broken S3. Totally destroyed. It was another year before I could upgrade and I thought I was screwed. Joe worked some magic, added a new line and got me a new phone - a Galaxy S6. It works amazing and my bill barely increased per month (like 4 bucks). Joe was patient and extremely helpful throughout the whole hour and a half process. I wish every customer service experience was like the one he provided. My boyfriend bought m a new IPhone 8plus for Christmas and worked with a man named Abe at this store. Since phone was suppose to be a surprise Abe had to set up a new phone number and service since I wasn't there. I've had Verizon for 20+ years and have always had the best service. Anyway in setting up my new phone I saw that there was a new number and couldn't figure out why. I texted my daughter and she texted me back asking why I changed the number I had for ever? I ran over to the Verizon store on 17th Street in Costa Mesa right before closing and the guy confirmed I would have to go to the store the phone was purchased at to find out why. I did go in the next day and the Manager Eric explained that Abe had to set up the phone that way since I was not there at the time of purchase. The bad news was I would have to come back when Abe was working which was the next afternoon. I was so mad that Abe didn't tell my boyfriend what he did to set up my new phone and was going to really give him a piece of my mind. My boyfriend was furious also cause he didn't remember Abe explaining this to him. So the next day I had to get my boyfriend to go with me to really give Abe a piece of our minds. Met with Abe at about 12:30 and he explained the whole thing and was just the nicest man and so knowledgeable I couldn't be mad. Ended up changing to the iPhone XR which I love. I gave this store 4 stars to the store because it took 3 hours to download everything from my 8plus to the XR due to the WiFi at the store is so slow. I would have given Abe 5 Stars. The manager of this store harasses his customers. My parents have been Verizon customers for almost 20 years. Today, they went to this location to return a phone that was unsatisfactory and under contractual allowances to be returned. The manager who sold my father the phone and promised him a full refund if he wasn't satisfied, tried to lie to my father and partially refund him. Many other reviewers have noted how this store will take advantage of its customers. Not only did the manager lie to, argue with, and verbally harass my parents- he ordered security to throw my 73 year-old father out of the store. He also threatened my mother, who promptly called Verizon customer service, who advised her to relocate to another store. She did and was served promptly without hesitation. How in the world is a franchise that intimidated and threatens to throw out customers allowed to stay in operation? Shame on you. Your management should be utterly embarrassed at least, and more appropriately, replaced. Shame on you. read more

Some of THE WORST customer service we have ever experienced anywhere! As I read some other reviews I actually laughed out loud. I was going to say the same thing!! It felt exactly like being in a car dealership! The guy talked in circles, used "corporate speak" words, phrases, and details that made no sense at best and contradicted himself at worst. Horrible customer service. Acted like they were all above us. They made us come back because we forgot the charger for an exchange (which makes sense) but didn't tell us they couldn't exchange an item purchased online. So we drove home got the charger and drove all the way back for them to tell us they couldn't help us again. They couldn't give us a straight answer except for blaming corporate for everything.
