    I like rising to the occasion. In fact, I like Verizon to the occasion. We're on Verizon and we pay way too much for our services. I came in to talk to them about switching to a different company and could they take some money off the bill and they had no interest. They weren't too friendly. We did pick up the accessory that Barbie needed so I'll give them an extra star for that.

I didn't like the work they were doing up and down my block, so I began looking at reviews as they started to do their work in front of my property. Of course, while reading bad reviews about their installation, they hit my gas line. Nicor had to come out to repair it. Nicor was quick and professional. They had my gas back up in a couple hours from the original outage. Now, Nicor is going to have to run a new line to my house. We'll see. If they come back and fix my lawn, I'll update this review to reflect it. I originally gave them one star and was harsher in my review, but so far they have been following up on the lawn repairs at my house and the surrounding properties. *Update - Ezee Fiber has reached out already, which is promising. **Update 2 - They showed up yesterday to check on my lawn repairs. Some looked good to ok, but a couple were looking bad. BUT, to their credit, they put down some fresh soil, seed and cover in the spots that needed more help. I did not expect that kind of follow-up, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Voss Rd's Retail Sales Professional PARRIS JARRET, who researched our unexpected 24+ hour internet outage during our in-person visit last week to find out WTF happened to our internet on the late afternoon of 8/28/2024, who saved this rating from its more accurate 1-star ranking. I mean it. Just before 5pm, the sh*t just went out while we were streaming some online content as if it were buffering like it was the late 90s and we were on a dial-up connection. Going to bed without service at nearly midnight, I decided that I'd wake up to a restored connection in a few hours like last time (See my previous Yelp.). Uh, nope. I had to cancel my morning appointments on 8/29, none of which were pro-bono, btw. I spent the day accessing the internet through my smartphone, catching up on my emailed news digests and reading my web-based Kindle. By 3-ish in the pm on 8/29 and constant phone looping that prevented access to live customer support from Xfinity, we ended up visiting the S. Voss Rd location in search of transparency. We got PARRIS JARRET randomly after our names were added to the queue by the first staffer closest to the entrance. PARRIS JARRET was able to identify our issue through our account but could only access the information we could. He did an awesome job of sharing what outages like our mean, assuring us that our connection would be improved after our internet came back on. He also signed me up for Xfinity rewards and let me in on a good phone deal offer that would lower our monthly internet bill. But as I explained to Parris, I'm not the type who makes purchases after losing money for reasons out of my control, especially when I have no idea when I'm gonna start making money again. So, because of his own employer that he made look good, Parris lost out on making a sale. Nice one, Xfinity. Like Parris, we went home with no cigar. A couple hours later we got a J/K text stating that our internet had been restored, but it was only after another hour and a half or two hours that we were actually back up and running. Eff you, Xfinity. I'll be in touch to find out how I can complete the customer survey for Parris Jarret that he said we'd receive to rate his service after making you look worthy of an employee like him.

    I visited this Verizon store yesterday after 4 pm to get assistance with opening a business…read moreaccount. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location was extremely disappointing, and I left feeling uncomfortable and judged. * Background: I had been told by a Verizon representative over the phone to visit the store because the online link I was sent was not working. * In-Store Experience: When I arrived, I explained my situation to the representative at the door. Instead of helping, he dismissed me, saying everything had to be done over the phone. This was confusing since I had been told otherwise by Verizon's online support. * Lack of Support: I asked if I could call Verizon customer service while in the store, and he reluctantly agreed. Over the phone, the representative guided me through the process and confirmed I needed to submit paperwork. The in-store representative, however, showed no interest in helping and acted as though I was lying when I explained that I had been approved for a business credit line. His facial expressions and comments were unprofessional and made me feel judged. * Outcome: Despite being approved and ready to proceed with my purchase, the lack of support and dismissive attitude from the staff made me so uncomfortable that I walked out. The online representative was professional and helpful, but the in-store team seemed more interested in chatting with a police officer at the front door than assisting customers. Final Thoughts Customer service at this location is unacceptable. I was prepared to pay out of pocket and use my new business credit line, but the staff's behavior drove me away. Respect and professionalism should be the standard, especially at a customer-driven business like Verizon. Because of this experience, I chose to go with AT&T instead. In 2025, judging customers and failing to provide basic assistance is simply not acceptable. Everyone works hard for what they have and deserves to be treated with respect. Both…read moretimes my phone I have received terrible customer service and they rush you out of the store. I came in for assistance with getting my phone fixed and they told me to do it online. I came in for you to help me do it. If I wanted to do it online myself I wouldn't had come in. I've been helped by someone different every time I've been in the store. There's only two people who actually help and do their job and don't just send you home to do it online or call the help desk.

Upon walking in it took them a minute, but somebody finally asked if we needed some help. As we were talking to the lady employee about which laptop to purchase, another person randomly comes up and starts talking to the lady employee who was talking to us clearly. She continued to address the man as if we did not exist right there. It was really offensive and we end up walking away and looking at the computers ourselves. After some time went by we decided to walk out because the customer service was just absolutely dismissive. We end up leaving, but then I felt convicted because I couldn't let that type of customer "no" service slide. I end up going back in asking for a manager, and the manager told me that the person who disrespectfully inserted himself is a vendor with another company. The Best Buy managers name is Tia (who I talked to) and the vendors name is Milo. The manager said that she would have a talk with upper management to let them about the situation however I have gotten no follow up or anything! Honestly seemed like it was a way to dismiss me, because there was no additional action. No getting my contact information or anything. This place definitely needs help in the customer service department in my opinion. I see now why those reviews are rated low.
