On April 12th my husband and I came to the Verizon store located at 6432 Springfield Plaza in Springfield, VA to purchase new phones. Alex was our Salesperson and informed us about the various cellphones and their options. We decided to purchase the S25+, which was a splendid choice because it met all of our needs and did some. I don't think that we could've had a better Salesperson than Alex. He was cordial, friendly, professional, and he thoroughly knew the operation of this phone. We highly recommend Alex service to anyone looking to purchase a cellphone. Verizon wireless has declined beyond belief! I took advantage of a promotional offer to trade in my old iPhone for a $700 credit on an iPhone 14 back in June 2023. I submitted my trade-in that fully met the requirements for the promotion at this store, yet to date Verizon has not given me the promotion credit. Calls to the manager of this store went unreturned, so I resorted to calling Verizon customer service. I've called several times a month to try to get this issue resolved. I've talked to Customer Service Reps and Supervisors and each call averages 1 hour of my time. Each Verizon Rep I have spoken to agrees that I am due the promotional credit, and promises to correct the problem by "escalating" the issue or submitting a "promo credit correction", yet it has been more than 6 months and I have not received the promised promotional credit. In fact, Verizon now owes me more promotional credits than I owe them for my monthly bill! Verizon's promotion was a "bait and switch" deceptive practice. Verizon promised the trade-in credit, accepted my trade-in but never provided the credit. A word to the wise, learn from my experience, DO NOT FALL FOR VERIZON'S PROMOTION SCAM! Unless you have time to call them several times a month. I'm six months in now and I'm not giving up... and for the record, I have been a loyal Verizon customer for 33 years! I've NEVER had another cell phone provider. This is how they treat their loyalist of customers. Shame on you Verizon. I will be reaching out to legal and governmental offices next to report this deceptive practice and to get assistance with obtaining the promotional credits promised. Today I decided to treat myself and want to get a new phone and even change my line back to Verizon from a different carrier started off at Best Buy where I actually purchased the device and then for logistics purposes went to this particular Verizon location when I got there. Of course I had to wait, which was not a problem and I noticed that a young lady who was an associate there was working with another lady and that lady stormed off out of the store. I didn't think anything of it but boy, I should have paid attention. I just needed to transfer the data from my old phone to my new phone and I also purchased a watch but as anyone knows that transfer can take anywhere from a few minutes to hours so I was in the store a little over two hours, and I purchased the watch and waited for my phone to transfer, and I told the associate her name was Melanie to go work with other customers, because there was nothing we could do until my phone finished, a man and his son came in the store and they were looking for particular phone that I had the Verizon store did not have any phones in stock whatsoever she checked and there was absolutely zero so I kindly suggested that they check out the Best Buy store not in Nealis no aggression or anything and they said thank you and walked away Melanie went to go work with another family. I was still sitting there waiting on my transfer to take place and then I noticed that she had disappeared for about 30 minutes so she came from the back and so did her manager and he proceeds to tell me that I ran a customer from a store, and they get paid off of commission. My thing is, she didn't make a sale to begin with because you didn't have any other products at the customer was looking for and my suggestion was just like anyone else would make if someone is looking for something he put me out of the store. My phone was on 21% for the status transfer. I have been there for two hours and I had to start all over when I got home, I proceeded to return the watch that I had just purchased because no one was making commission. I came to this location so I could upgrade my mom's phone. Someone came up to me immediately took my name and number and said I'll be with you in a moment. He then had to take care of one little thing and then came back to me. I told him that I needed to replace my mom's phone. My mom's phone isn't a smartphone it's basically just used to make calls. He asked which phone I wanted, I told him based on my research online. He then went to the back and got the phone. He basically walked me through the plan and how much it was going to cost and then I checked out. I think from start to finish it took about 20 minutes max. This is the kind of service that I enjoy and appreciate from verizon. My mom's phone is working correctly, hopefully she doesn't break it again. At least once a week I have to reset my entire FIOS system and usually just wait a day because it's not the hardware it's something with the FIOS network that is cheap/broken/messed up. Bottom line....if you want a decent price for fast internet that works 6 days a week and customer service is a non-existent term, then go with FIOS. I have come to the conclusion that Verizon does not want long-term customers' business because they did everything to not help me and to send me elsewhere. I had a Verizon prepaid phone for years. I wanted an updated phone. I called Verizon the Sunday before to purchase a phone on Verizon's website. On Sunday, the Verizon rep on chat told me I had to pick up a phone within 3 days and my schedule would not allow me to do that, so I called back on Friday around 6 pm after working overtime. I was on the phone with different Verizon reps for two hours on Friday. I only needed my user and password to be rebooted as I being kicked out and I wanted to know where to go to purchase the phone of my choice. I got on the phone with someone who seemed to be in a foreign location. I wanted to get my access to the website handled and to purchase a phone. I was handed around to various units on the phone as they each told me they could not help customers with prepaid. Finally, my user and password were never corrected via the phone, but the rep told me I could purchase the Samsung Galaxy model prepaid phone and get my login information corrected at the Springfield Plaza Center. I went to the Springfield Plaza site around 10:50 am on 8/26/23, and checked in verbally (my scanner was not working). Three people came in after me and a rep started answering several questions of a man after me, so I said I was first. The rep said he was only checking him in but continued answering questions. Minutes later, another rep came to assist me (I thought). I told him I wanted a certain prepaid phone. He went to back area, came back, and said he had a more expensive version, but did not have the phone I wanted there (despite Verizon's rep last night assuring me this store had what I needed). The rep said I could go to Best Buy and get my phone. Why is Verizon sending customers to another store? I called another Verizon (Huntsman Ave.) and asked if they had the phone and was told they did. However, when I arrived, the rep said he did not have prepaid phones and that I could find what I needed at Walmart or Best Buy. Why send customers to another store. Verizon is confusing with all of their plans - prepaid, post paid, and some type of consumer plan. How can Verizon have different plans and not have it available for sale everywhere? Why doesn't Verizon want to help their customers, but instead send them elsewhere? I determined that Verizon does not care about their customers After this I went to AT&T. After 2 hours they found out the ups tracking number and were able to open another claim to see if they will refund me for the 6 months that they are been charging me for saying that they never got my phones , yes , the two that I gave it as a trade at this store.They got my email to send the result in 48 hours and it's been more than 5 days. I visited this store 2 times concerning my phone's issues with texting, calling, and data. Jose, the staff who assisted me today and yesterday, was not able to find a solution. Yesterday, he told me to contact one of my family members who has the primary line. Once he forwarded the pin to one of my family members, he did not say that the pin's expiration is 10 minutes. He told me to come back the next day in order to reactivate my phone. Today, I went to the store and Jose pretended he did not recognize me. He was also quick to judge that my data wasn't turned on but I told him that wasn't the case. I told him the same issue I experienced. He then said my phone's suspended and requests one of my family members to contact customer service. We weren't able to contact customer service so I had to search online on how to reactivate my phone. My family member managed to reactivate my phone by following the instructions. I hope this branch can improve their customer service better. read more

Ok, I'm giving them three stars because they had what we were looking for, obtaining it was relatively simple and, fingers still crossed, occurred without issue (I am waiting for next billing cycle to confirm the increase is what was agreed to...). I just wish they had been a little more engaged. My mom was renewing her contract and getting a new iPhone. She was uncomfortable enough doing this she asked me to come with her and 'translate' (for anyone who knows my lack of techiness this is kind of funny but work with me here). We both would have liked a little eye contact, perhaps even a smile or a thank you. I mean we were trying so hard to engage the woman assisting us, seriously, imagine a mother / daughter comedy routine that is sinking fast. The only smiles we got were from a couple of other customers... it was sad. We must have patted each other on the back three times. I am surprised there was no receipt and getting information was difficult. I fulling expect a call when the new bill arrives, I am just hoping I can translate it and that it is what we asked for service wise...). Bottom line, t was before 11 AM on a Monday and the woman assisting us had someone on a 2-year contract (mom had been month-to-month for a while) with a new iphone. I have been trying for over a week to dispute an issue that Verizon has created. I called to inquire about mobile service never agreeing to actually transferring my phones over. A month and a half later I received a bill that has been sent to collections. I have never had Verizon, never used their service, did not transfer my phone numbers over, did not insert Sim cards, and still have my original service. How the hell do they charge me for a month and a half. And then send it to collections with threatening my credit report. I've never used them. I have spent hours at a time on the phone being transferred to six and seven people and no one can help me. Save the headache. This is how they make their money by ripping off customers. We went to buy a new phone and transfer SIM card and apple profile over to new phone and give old one to my teen son. First appointment on August 12th the representative was disinterested and unprofessional. He had trouble putting in my name and contact information to buy the new phone and combined my mothers and my information incorrectly when we ordered a new phone. He told us we didn't need to add an additional administrator if the primary administrator, my mother, didn't come back. We just went back tonight at 7 and had to spend a half hour waiting to get my mom to add me as an administrator and the representative tonight gave us customer service phone number first even though they were already closed wasting time. We have to go back tomorrow since we ran out of time to get assistance on the previously mentioned processes. Representative tonight wouldn't give me the name of the first representative to file a complaint against his unprofessional behavior and claimed it was Jose the manager who helped us; it was not they're just protecting their colleague. I guess I'll file a complaint against the manager and let him deal with his unprofessional employees. Once done with this store tomorrow I'll never go back to them. Buying a car from Sheehy Subaru is easier and everyone is a lot more helpful and friendly. read more

I just had connected the fastest fiber optic internet service, with the best router they offer, and it's by far the worst service I've had in years. The internet connection is ridiculously slow, and the wifi doesn't even reach across the house, let alone on the upper floor. And good luck getting any tech support. This Verizon location (6432 Springfield Plaza, Springfield, VA) is not a company-owned store; rather, it is set up as an LLC (Limited Liability Company), owned and operated by a local individual. It is incorrectly listed on Verizon sites as a company-owned store, possibly because at one time years ago it was. Long story short, I had trouble with a new Samsung phone I'd purchased a few weeks before, and the store refused to give me any relief, financial or otherwise. Since the store is set up as an LLC, it's impossible to determine who the local owner is. The store manager was especially rude; she told me to initiate a lawsuit if I had anything further to say. I contacted the Verizon department which oversees Verizon franchises and described my plight; they arranged for some partial relief for me. I've since discovered a much better place to shop is the Verizon company-owned store at Landmark Plaza (6198M Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, VA 22312.) read more

The replacement phone that I was sent was problematic. Tons of issues. When I sought services at Verizon, Getenet offered a solution that "might assist". No thanks. His assistant manager, Kurt, wasted my time with explaining how they have to follow a number of steps to rectify the issue before providing a replacement phone of the same quality of the one that I had. WTF?! Kurt couldn't explain how "his way" was time effective for clients. On a side note, the assistant manager was wearing a NFL jersey... when I took note of how he wasn't even in professional attire, it dawned on me to stop wasting my time talking to him. Realizing that these guys weren't committed to rendering services/customer service, I left, called Asurion and am now being sent a replacement for the defective replacement phone. Purchased an HTC ONE and was told at the point of sale if I did not like it, I could return it within two weeks. I loved the phone but I noticed that it kept overheating on me. I have been in this situation before and know by now to take swap it out for another device because 9/10 times the same problem will occur, especially with new releases. So when I returned it, the girl at the counter took everything back and told me everything will be refunded. She failed to mention ANYTHING about charging me a restocking fee because I think she knew I would argue it over the fact that the phone was defective. So the next day I check my account and realized I was not fully refunded. I called into the store and the first representative could barely speak english yet continued to argue policy with me. The manager came on the phone afterwards and he sounded like a brainwashed individual saturated by store policy. It was like talking to a robot who kept repeating the same thing. I have been in retail before and it is simple to provide a solution for a scenario like this. Overall, avoid this place at all cost. They try to sell you bundles you don't even need for over $100 dollars. Customer service sucks. It is the Verizon version of the DMV. read more
