If you're creating an app to order food directly from your restaurant then you need to give your customers tracking to see where the stupid driver is and how long before I get my food. Waited over 1 hour 45 minutes to get a COLD chicken which is 2.5 miles from your restaurant. Called your restaurant and employees tell me it's not their problem and I need to call the company to see where's the food. Driver shows up and gives me a shrug about why it took so long. Horrible horrible service. I know I don't mean anything to your restaurant being one unhappy customer but this is not the right way to do business. read more

I don't know if Juan is the manager, host, whatever but he's got a bad lil attitude. My coworker and I ordered uber eats today and forgot to put the unit number on one of the orders. The way our office building is, a lot of orders get lost so we wanted to catch it early to make sure we got what we wanted. Mind you, the order is $50 snapper. We called and asked for him to tell the Uber driver to put the right unit number, or to give them our phone number when he got there to which he responded "no, I can't" over and over again. YES, the garlic chicken is as good as everyone says. Its half a chicken rotisserie style, with their delicious, flavorful, mouthwatering garlic buttery sauce and topped with fresh onions (which I think might be marinated in lemon for a bit) ! MAN, my mouth waters just remembering it. It was served with platanos, really good black beans and white rice. Big portions, worth the price. When you come into Versailles you get hit with the garlic and onion smells so good!! I love garlic, I cant have enough of it. Being a Miami native, I was excited to see a Cuban spot in the Los Angeles area. I wanted to enjoy the food so much, however, the majority of it was flavorless :( we ordered the camarones al ajillo, which was served in a bowl of melted butter with a few crushed garlic cloves on top, but with zero flavor whatsoever and it was $25, which hurts my heart to pay since it was soo mediocre. The rice, the beans, the mamay(You have to get the mamay), and the Sangria, are not only great, but consistently great. Versailles is necessary... I often crave Cuban flavors & the nearest Versailles location comes to mind. The Encino location is always a good choice. There are 3 staple dishes I order here: lechon asado, bistec empanizado or the classic garlic chicken. You cant go wrong with any of these, really. Last sunday I opted for the bistec empanizado. It's a breaded, seasoned sirloin steak. Delish and just what a Sunday afternoon in the Valley called for. Service was great. It was friendly & attentive. They started us off with the garlic toast, which our table of 5 devoured & some sangria. The bistec came perfectly cooked... tasty as ever & the right amount of crunch from the batter. The Cuban sandwiches that we got were absolutely delicious and are by far my favorite spot for them in LA out of all the places I have tried so far. Authentic Cuban food or not...Versailles serves outstanding Cuban food at decent prices, good portions and attentive service. I've been to several of the Versailles restaurant chains in SoCal and all have been good experiences. Not once have I left unhappy or unsatisfied. One thing they're really good at is service which why I keep coming back. If this is your first time, I suggest starting out with a glass of sangria or beer. Daily happy hour from 4pm-7pm. Free garlic bread is provided with your meal. Try their appetizer sampler which is fried yucca and pork served their famous garlic sauce. Both bread and yucca can be filling so I usually just skip the appetizers cause the meal portions here are big. For main entrees, try their famous garlic chicken. The chicken is roasted to perfection with a light crispy skin, covered with onions and garlic, citrus mojo sauce. The inside is succulent and moist with just the right amount of Latin seasoning. Served with rice, sweet plantains and black beans it's great Cuban comfort food. Other great dishes recommended are lechon asado - Cuban pork roasted in the same garlic sauce or ropa vieja - shredded beef sautéed with onions, garlic and bell peppers. Every time I come here for lunch and dinner the place is always packed. My only complaint is that they don't accept Amex cards any more which is my preferred payment for dining out. The garlic chicken special was what my brother recommended and it did not disappoint. Comes with beans, rice, and fried plantains. The chicken with garlic sounds and onions was amazing, the sauce was perfect! What I like most about it is that it's pretty healthy chicken with flavorful sauce. The food was really good, chicken and rice had good flavor (I personally don't like plantines) and the papas rellenas were so soft inside. Delicious. I had never tried that Cuban soda, it was sweet and fizzy, gonna get it again. Food was good but would've tasted better if eaten right after it was ready; didn't get to enjoy eating there cause of the shutdown but the staff was friendly and there was plenty of space inside. I may not know authentic cuban, but I do know authentic goodness, and this restaurant definitely has a winner taste. Versailles has quick service. Like Batman and Robin, the meats have it's perfect sidekicks. Rice, beans and plantains to compensate the fiery strength of flavored onions laddened on top of some of the most flavored meats on this side of town. The most popular dishes are the roasted chicken (1/2 chicken) or the roasted pork. If you're going for a stew, the oxtail soup will not let you down. Garlic bread is served on the side (if rice, beans, and fried plantains wasn't enough), and enjoy with an atmosphere of customers enjoying their meal. The seafood paella, chicken, and porkchops were just as good as the oxtail soup. The porkchops tasted like crispy pata (for my fellow filipinos). The paella was executed perfectly. The bread remains untouchable, smothered in garlic and butter. Their sangria wasn't too strong which was good. Their plantains are getting better.
