Updating my review, stopped by today and noticed they have a number system to place your order, instead of making the line. Horrible by the way because there is no sign that says that, so after waiting 5min someone in the line said to grab a number. We grabbed our number and sat waiting to be called, however the number machine was a mess, we had 73 and the machine went from 69 to 10 and the employee in the back didn't fix it and started taking the people from be line instead of using the number. Horrible!! Not coming back for a while no organization at all! Why did they change it when there was no issue before when we made the line. The pastelitos from vickys are amazing! A colleague of mine bring them in to the office once in awhile and they are always such a treat! I've had the guava one, the cheese one, the beef one, the coconut one, and my favorite, the guava and cheese one. They're always freshly baked and they're great to go as well. read more

Really yummy Cuban bakery, with cookies, cakes and pastries. They also make a great Cuban coffee with milk and evaporeted milk, to add richness. Coffee is super hot when served, so be careful. The guava cheese pastries are my favorite. read more

Vicky bakery, My absolute favorite bakery in the world. With the best pastries/ sandwhiches in the world. Every time i come from Chicago, i make sure to take a catering package home to my family that didn't get to come with. The pastelitos are good but you need to make sure you get what you pay for. I ordered and paid for six croquetas, when I got home there were only four. A few weeks ago I ordered and received the the number of pastelitos I requested but was charged for more. Lesson learned: make sure you check your items because short-changing / over charging has happened at least twice with me. read more

Good food but horrible service. They seriously need to hire more staff. Customers shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes to an hour on line before placing their order. They take on more than they can handle. They should take online orders if they can't keep up with the traffic that walks through the door. So..I normally go to the Vickys in NMB or Miramar...and while I understand all franchises will be run differently...some stuff is just...? Everyone makes coffee different so I won't be critical but I did leave to go somewhere else after buying coffee here..but my beef was with the food I ordered...2 empanadas..1 chicken and 1 beef plus 1 croqueta. Both empanadas were well seasoned well and tasted good...but all 3 items were cold...8am at a bakery...dont think that should be the case...just a thought for future customers read more

Last Sunday (Sept. 29) on my way back to the airport I made a stop at this bakery my brother recommended. I order a Cuban sandwich with everything, a guava pastry and a café con leche. The café and pastry was served right away and the sandwich was to come out in a few minutes - I was told. Decided to sit and wait while sipping to the extremely almost boiling café. People came in and left and no sandwich. At one time I asked one of many young ladies working there to be told they would let me know as soon as my Cubano came out. Well over a half hour later there still was no Cubano for me. At this point I decided to asked the man who looked like the manager if it took over half and hour to get a sandwich in this place? Soon after my Cubano was delivered with a refund for it - which I did not want but they insisted. The sandwich was ok, the coffee was good but even a half hour later was still steaming hot and the guava pastry was as good as any where else in Miami! This place is busy in the time I was there but not overwhelming busy. Many employees to take your order but follow up needs some improvement. Beware of the almost dangerously hot coffee - it will burn your lips if not your mouth. I might give them a second change if I ever return to the area! But with so many other places I will thing about it. read more

Came to this location and was so stoked to get a cafe con leche with guava cheese pastry. Stood around waiting while there was ONE customer being helped & like 5 employees behind the counter. Nobody acknowledged me or my boyfriend the entire time that the other lady was being taken care of. Fine, not a big deal.... we waited. The lady got her stuff and left and we still stood there looking at each other like WTF? ARE WE INVISIBLE? meanwhile all employees still kept just circling around behind the counter. It was more than an hour before closing so there was no need to flat out completely ignore us. Well, after standing there and watching them all ignore us, I said F IT & we walked out. The type of place where if you go wearing something nice their gonna ask you for a tip when your picking up a order you made through the phone. LOL I gave it to her but the guy next to me picking up aswell (THAT DIDNT GET ASKED TO LEAVE A TIP) was looking at her crazy. When I called there was no manager on duty and the lady that answered was of no help nor offered a resolution. Disappointed. That's my review. They have lowered their standards...quality vs quantity. Unfortunately that's the reality of many places now a days. Very unimpressed with where the pastelitos are being kept. It was messy...dirty...and flies where inside the warmer display where the pastelitos are kept...flying around. I get it, it's only normal for a fly to get into a sweet place. But this was out of control. Very unappealing. Now the pastries...let me start by saying horrible. They are "quemados". Do they not realize what they are selling? Why are all the pastelitos burned???? Not cool. This is not what it used to be. The place it's self was dirty not well kept. The chairs and tables were very dirty all the flakes and crust of food was stuck to the chairs and tables....The service was not nice either. The ladies behind the counter didn't seem happy and they were annoyed to be working. Also, the private conversations were not kept to a minimal...meaning in front of customers you shouldn't be airing out dirty laundry. Arguing in front of the clients is not very professional. Well, back to keeping the bakery presentable, I remembered them always cleaning on Sunday's to tidy up the place but that's when they first opened. A lot had changed since they first opened. I used to love coming here. So disappointed. I'm only putting this out so that the owners can change it and turn back around to what it once was. Tony is a great person and so is his wife. They deserve for this place to keep shining. I have zero complaints about them. Amazing people. Unfortunately I'm not sure if they are aware of what goes on there when they are not there. I went in there questioning why I walked in there in the first place to begin with. It was just a mess. When they first opened I was always there because I loved the fact that finally we had something Hispanic around in Pembroke Pines that was a known name. Ordered a cake two weeks ago for my daughter's 2nd birthday, went to pick the cake up only to discover they did not have the decorations for the cake that was purchased. How can you notify me the day of the party that you don't have the cake. Very unprofessional. I bought ham croquetas, ham & cheese empanadas, beef empanadas, pan de bono for the family to eat on a morning (10am) car ride. To our surprise all the food was cold! I called and spoke to the manager at Vicky Bakery on Pines Blvd & Dykes and explained that all our food was cold and she said that most of the food sold is cold. Isn't the word "bakery" signal #freshly-baked-warm etc...? The other problem you'll encounter while visiting this place is long lines. I waited 20 minutes before being attended. So unless you want to wait in a long line and get cold food I would advice you to visit another bakery. read more

Went in last minute for a birthday cake for my mom. They had plenty to choose from, was able to personalize it and in my hands within 10 minutes! My only issue is the woman I was ordering from couldn't speak any English. It was hard to communicate but she got what I wanted. (only reason I put four stars) THEY LOVED THE CAKE! The Cuban coffee here is subpar. It tastes burnt and old. I will not come here for Cuban Coffee again. As far as the croquettes, I know for sure they are not made fresh. They are frozen and fried on site. If you have ever tried the croquettes from Versailles or from Isla Canarias you will know what I mean when it comes to freshness. I've been to other Vicky bakeries that have been on point like the one in Miami Gardens by Carrabas but Pines doesn't have it. It's a shame. read more

The only reason i put 4 stars instead of 5 is because i dont speak spanish and sometimes its a little difficult to communicate with the employees. Other than the slight language barrier, everything is good. I usually get the cafe con leche with croissant with ham and cheese for breakfast and its great. It gets a little busy but they work through that line relatively quickly. All in all, i have no complaints read more

Tried getting my caffe con leche from here & all I received was a cup full of milk & sugar with no coffee, tasting overly sugary. I know to follow my instincts & stick to the Cuban restaurants like I have always done from now on. Very disappointing first time experience, don't think I'll be back & if I am I'll have to triple check they put some actually coffee in the cup, probably do the sugar sweetening myself & ask for a little less milk. This is my favorite coffee drink & I order & enjoy it's rich tasting flavor all quite often. This time I only could take s few sips & had to throw the rest away. read more
