This was my second and LAST time going to this place. The ladies here and so rude, either snapping to get your attention or yelling NEXT at you when you are a foot away. Last year, in April when COVID hit and quarantine was in order my father got really sick. He was in ICU at Memorial Miramar for 2wks on a vent. Every week I would come by this bakery and buy some snacks, pastelitos, sandwiches for that ICU staff. The owner one day asked me what the order was for and when I told him he took it upon himself to FILL my trunk with pastelitos, sandwiches, pastries, etc on the house. A gesture I will never forget. Till this day those nurses and doctors who saved my fathers life are still thankful. So here, I say thank you to that owner and the staff at this Vicky's for the heartfelt gesture. Bad reviews on here are pretty accurate based on my own experience, I've not been here to observe how accurate the positive reviews are. Don't expect a "good morning" or "buenos días", it'll be extra for that :-/, that being said the place was clean and product was ok. I come here for convenience but sadly I'd come here more often if they were nicer. The Italian place a few doors down is much friendlier, but more expensive however I realize now I should have gone there. The food and coffee is great. Only problem is the service. Many employees, in fact there are 5 behind the counter right now, but they have spent the last half hour chit chatting and barely tending to the customers. They honestly give you a feeling like you're bothering them when you're there to give them business. Great potential, poorly executed. I would say to hire friendlier more "eager to help" employees but sadly these sort of situations usually come from the top . This was my 4th visit in the last month. 3 stars because I love Vicky's Bakery, I grew up eating at their numerous locations. But. Today I was in the plaza getting my nails done, I finished at around 6:05, figured I had time to stop in and get a couple pastelitos. I checked prior to see what time this location closed -they close at 7pm.. I'm walking pass the doors and reach to open it, the young girl at the register was staring at me, and I noticed the store was pretty empty, I looked down at the hours they had on the door and it was the same that I saw online. Except the door wouldn't open, it was locked and they were already sweeping. If you have changed your hours, you should put up the new hours, or maybe tell your workers to lock the doors at the closing time. Not almost an hour before they close. read more

You would think this bakery has one of the best Cuban breads around. Well no not at all. They've been around for many years and it's the worst Cuban bread I've ever had. My new favorite Cuban bakery when I visit Pines for sure! I been a few times before and was not impressed with their service, but they have definitely stepped up their game since then. I came in yesterday, thankfully, when they were not busy for once, and was pretty satisfied. Their pizza pastel was probably one of the best I ever tried in all of South Fla. The wait is so long. 3 people behind the counter and it takes them forever to take an order and fill it and they answer the phones at the same time. 4 people in line, 20 minutes later I'm still standing here. 3 strikes you're out. Two Uber Eats guys were pissed because their ordered weren't ready so couldn't get there orders in time. Sad because it affects their tips. These people are so inefficient and rude. My family and I have ordered from this bakery several times. We have never received stellar service and/or cakes, but we used them because they were close. This time they crossed the line. We ordered a fondant cake a week and a half before my daughter's christening. I get a call asking me when I would like to go by and pick up the cake. I said 4:30pm - 5:00pm and they said fine, Because they had to deliver the cake from another location. Just FYI they don't do fondant cakes in house. I get there around 4:20 and they tell me that the they don't know what my order is. Later they figure out that the cake hasn't arrived. I pick up the other appetizers and snacks that were on my order. They tell me to leave them the address and the time that they need it by and the driver will deliver it to my house. I agreed and was quite happy about it. Mind you, I live (clocked) 2 minutes and 43 seconds away in car from Vicky Bakery. They told me when I was there that the cake was going to be later than 4:30 because of traffic. I told them that I needed the cake at 5 at the latest. They said sure, no problem. At 5 I call the bakery and it's like no one knew who I was from a half hour earlier. Once someone that knew picked up the phone they told me that they spoke to the driver and he was on his way. At 5:30 I call again and this time it takes me SIX calls to reach someone. No one could tell me where the driver is with my cake. At this point I am furious. Finally at 6:20!!!!! After my event had already started the cake arrived. I called the bakery asking them to make it right because not only was the cake wrong but the colors were off too!!!! The cake was dry and the taste wasn't the greatest. Stick to the buttercream stuff. No one was able to make it right because no manager was on duty. They took my number and never called me back. The 3 times I called after they told me the same thing. I don't have time out of my day to go and hunt someone down to make it right. It's been 2 weeks since then and now I wanted to write this with a cooler head. If you don't think this is tame, you should have seen my last 2 drafts. Don't go to Vicky's Bakery. They have very poor customer service that lacks quality. They have no respect for their customers by bringing orders almost 2 hours late. They made the excuse about traffic. How bad can traffic be to be 2 1/2 hours late on a Sunday afternoon? I can get from Pembroke Pines to Naples in that time frame. There is no excuse for this. read more

Very sad, you go with your granddaughter to Vicky bakery to have breakfast and it's like going to a night club. The owners of Vicky has a 50 inch TV, with Reggaeton music blasting inappropriate music videos showing girls with thongs and g-string dancing on TV at 10 AM in the Morning. Is this Bakery or a Night Club???? This is Not the type of business we want in Pembroke Pines. Vicky and I have known each other for about 15 years! Yes ever since I was a child growing up in the wonderful cities of Hialeah and Miami Lakes Vicky Bakery has always been around. Thank god they've expanded to Broward and hopefully keep growing. The food consist of Cuban pastries. My favorites include: croquetas, guava pastelitos, meat pastelitos, cheese pastelitos etc! So this bakery has been at this location for about a year and a half. The deco is modern looking which is a nice change compared to other Vicky bakeries. It's in a good spot if you want to grab a pastelito or two before hitting up the movie theater. It beats paying $15+ at the concession stand. Friendly staff, speaks English/Spanish. I tried their pastelito de carne (beef pastry) and pastelito de queso (cheese pastry). The beef was good but not the greatest. Hands down, the cheese wins. Went to grab a quick snack while waiting for a drink appt 4 doors down. Ordered 2 beef empanadas, slice of cheese cake and a cuatro leches. My order came out to $16.12. After getting the receipt I saw that they charge $4.25 per empanada. Plus an extra charge for "sf". I have no idea what "SF" is. Perhaps a special fee ?? Anyway it is unacceptable that they are charging extra and not telling the customers what extra amounts they are charging. I've never paid over $3.00 for an empanada. Vicky's has always been my favorite bakery but we went in today and has such an incredibly horrible experience. Customer service was awful. Kept trying to get the orders from the people behind us without waiting for us to finish our order. Then when it came time to pay they didn't tell us there would 4% up charge if we used our credit card. And the bill was so so expensive. Had we known, we would've opted to pay cash. Then when we realized we asked why no one told us and the owner became extremely rude and insensitive. I tried sending a private message 10 days ago but received no response. Calling to speak with a manager was a dead end as well. I came to your location almost 4 weeks ago and ordered a dulce de leche graduation themed cake. The problem is the finished product did not have any caramel or dulce de leche creme. We have contacted your store multiple times but cannot get anyone to speak to us. Hello Amy thank you for your response once again, for the most part consumers will visit an entity if there reviews are 80/20 on the scale unfortunately your business doesn't qualify you have more Negative reviews than Positive reviews like I love a good Cuban Sandwich but you have very poor reviews on it and also with your Breakfast menu items as well. Your establishment hasn't reached out to those consumers, maybe one or two Plus the ones with the baked goods either. So why should I spend my time and gas to any of your businesses if you haven't corrected the issues. I told you about the professionalism of your employees and about there attitudes towards the customers. Your employees are to go above and beyond for the consumer. To never talk back to the customer it should be what else can I get you Sir/Madam or little girl/little boy, say thank you in English or Spanish, if the customer has a question and your employees don't understand the question to get the shift manager to answer the question, and any pertinent issues they May have. ( "It's called consideration".) So Amy if you need training for your employees or yourself I would suggest that you do so immediately. I've been in the customer service business a long time plus I'm old school. Empathy, compassion, professionalism and a smile go a long way.. My go-to spot for delicious Cuban pastries and cafe con leche every time I'm back home in South FL. My boyfriend and I love coming here for their empanadas and guava & cheese pastries. I also love the cafe con leche. The service is quick and their pastries are tasty. In addition, the prices are reasonable. Whenever we fly back to LV, we always make sure to bring a few pastries. Hygiene is not part of the concept of any of the employees. The person who serves you, handles the money. No gloves, mind you. And do not wash their hands before handling your food. And when you ask for a natural orange juice or coffee they put their dirty fingers inside the cup to pull it out of the pile. They also serve in a plastic basket which cleanliness is questionable. I go in there today to use a groupon I got that expires in December (it is currently early May), and after waiting in a long line, they simply tell me they don't take those anymore. I followed the rules on the voucher and explained it is not expired and that I paid for this Groupon and can't return it, and they tell me management simply doesn't let them. I am now battling with Groupon to try and get my money back because these people don't know how to read and follow a written contract. As someone who has run a small business and worked with Groupon, I know for a fact they are violating the terms of that agreement, and even though I politely insisted they needed to honor my voucher, they refused. I've already dumped 20 minutes into this with Groupon and am waiting for them to contact this bakery and find out what the problem is (or explain how contracts work?), but at this point, I hope I can get my money back. I'm not into supporting businesses who treat customers like this and who cheat others. I love Vicky Bakery and have never had the problems I have at this particular one. It starts from the management, a few times I have been there and they are arguing with the employees in front of the customers. They constantly run out of cuban bread and there pastries are not consistent with other Vickys some times they are practically hard. They sometimes are closed before the times it says on the door as well. Wish I could say different since this is the closest to the house. But would rather take the drive to Miramar or Miami Gardens drive! read more
