We LOVE this place! The most important thing to know is the owner clearly loves providing delicious & offering friendly service and all good things flow from there. Breakfast is generous and delicious and most times there is enough to take home for another day. The burgers are what truly bring us here. There are SO many creative and delicious burger options that you could spend months trying them all. I particularly enjoy the Elvis but doubt you can go wrong with any of them. I think a lot of the people reviewing this place are overly picky maybe. First of all, this is a diner, not a fancy restaurant and I am rating it like so. The place is decorated cute and fifties style with Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean, etc. fifties style tables and booths..pink walls.. Cute! Could use some work there was a big rip in my booth seat but no biggie. The employees were very friendly and the food was great! I got the Route 1 which was a bit more than the perfect amount of food for me. The coffee was surprisingly great. My boyfriend got pancakes and bacon and he loved it as well. 7 years later and I still eat here about once a week and I still love it. The food just continues to be basic diner food done just right. Plus we have "our" seat with "our" waitress who knows what we order and always brings us separate checks which she knows we prefer. I don't know why this great local establishment doesn't get more love on Yelp. Although they certainly get enough love from locals, because they are always busy at lunchtime and absolutely insanely full for breakfast on weekends. Unwilling to work with allergies. Please note I have sent the diner a private message with no response. When ordering our food I made sure I told the server that I had an allergy. I saw her write it down and informed the chef 3x. While waiting for our food I heard the chef yell from the kitchen that he refused to wipe down ANYTHING to accommodate my allergy. Today was me giving Victor's 50's Diner one last chance. My food was cold and my toast was missing. How can you mess up two eggs and hashbrowns?? My food was tossed back on the grill and returned to me hot and overdone. Chewy eggs anyone? When my toast finally arrived after two reminders, it was burned. Seriously? It's just not that busy in here, and I'm pretty sure the waitress, while absent-minded and confused, was not blind. I'm only giving two stars because the hashbrowns, once they were hot, were tasty. I mean seriously; why reheat my eggs? Why not just scramble two fresh ones and deliver them hot? Congratulations on saving $.32. So my boyfriend is from t he area and told me we had to come here, and that it is one of the best breakfast places ever. Now 6:30 am this morning we walk into the diner and its so nice. I loved the decor. The atmosphere was awesome. It helped that it was 6:30 in the morning so not many people. Our waitress was wicked nice. He got the hash benedict or something like that. I eat breakfast here pretty frequently with my work crew and we all look forward to it. Portions are large and the omlettes and home fries here are excellent. Also their chicken waffles and shakes. It's a 50's style diner with old school booths, stool bar, vibrant colors, vintage jukebox and many Presley photos on the walls. Lastly the service is great, it's usually busy in there on a weekend morning but we've never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be seated. Attention breakfast chefs of America, home fries are not frozen potato squares, deep fried. They just aren't so call them what they are or serve Home Fries !! I finally felt compelled to sign up & review places having paid yet again over $20, for a very disappointing experience. Also, Eggs Benedict should be a layering of textures & tastes. The english muffin must ALWAYS be toasted for ANY version of benedict. Remember textures & tastes. Asking for extra crispy instead I got a grilled thin hockey puck, great judgement in the kitchen. I ordered a Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cake should be crispy, not tasteless & as mushy as the poached egg, which was the only thing that was right on my plate. In addition, that sauce was an attempt, if anything else was halfway decent, I'd not even mention it but sadly was also tasteless & not traditional hollandaise. I use to like this Diner since it's always clean, but last 3 visits seems prices go up but quality goes down & if the food isn't good, well what's the point. Victor's seems like a solid diner, the array of food items smaller than many diners, but that can be a good thing (higher turnover). Breakfast served all day and all night that they're opened. Service was very good, being attentive to our needs. One time while coming, my friend mentioned the 'frapes' on the menu (since it was mispelled on all of them) and then the waiter (Jaime) kept calling them 'frapes' through the whole night when 5 of us ordered one.This is definitely a place to come and wait a while for your food to come, but the wait isn't because of slow service. Omelets: Massive, fluffy omelets with no shortage of homefries that they come with, each one comparable in size to a flattened basketball. Insides seem a bit overdone to me, but otherwise fully loaded. Burgers: They are serviceable, the peppers and onions adequately cooked to be caramelized without being burnt. They cook accordingly to doneness here, no hockey pucks. Relatively neat eating with no grease drip, the right amount of toppings to give enough extra flavors without overwhelming the burger or squeezing out. The onion rings are a bit more questionable to me in terms of packaged freezerness. They're the typical batter breaded type, different from the grainier ones at Johnny Rockets/Burger King. The fries seem less suspicious and are better in my opinion. Decor: No shortage of Elvis on the walls on different forms of vintage Americana, and despite the homages to The Rat Pack on the menu, I saw little indication of them in the diner. Stainless steel walls and steel/glass storefront make me comfortable. Booths are as spacious as a Cadillac. Overall: Price is relatively high, but still in the 'moderate' range, but they load your plate heavily. This can be compared to a better IHOP, with higher quality bang for your buck, but no boysenberry. read more

Their veggie omelets are excellent- I recommend splitting one with a friend. The wait for a table tends to be about twenty minutes and the wait for food is about forty minutes. We had a group of about 10 of us and they seated us fairly quickly for a Sunday afternoon, we only had to wait about 10 minutes - probably got lucky. Most of us ordered the meat skillet to share with our significant other and they were pretty generous with the portions. They split the skillet for us and the dish itself comes with two eggs but when we got our plates, me and my SO (and everyone else at the table who also split) got two eggs each too! Victor's is so interesting because it is an old-fashioned diner right in a town center; normally one finds such diners on highways or at least not right in town. Anyways, I love diners so I thought, why not, even though it has just a 3.5 on yelp. We got there around 1:30pm and didn't have to wait for a table. The interior, as others have commented, is plastered with Elvis memorabilia, and there are both roomy booths and a bar you can sit at. Also, you can see into the kitchen, which looks like something you'd see in a Happy Days episode (in a good way). Places like this often offer very generous portions, so we decided to split this very delicious veggie bake with over-easy eggs and cheese on top. The waitress was really nice and accommodating, offering to bring us each half on a separate plate. How nice! Then I didn't have to worry about protecting my half on the dish from my speed-eater of a boyfriend! This eggity bomb (no idea what it was actually called and I can't find the menu online) was cheesy and chock full of vegetables - a perfect combination! We also got a small side of grits (nothing special if you've tasted southern cheesy grits) and a single sweet potato pancake (this was fantastic, much better than some regular pancakes that only taste good after you dip them in syrup!). The coffee also tasted good, not too watery like at some diners. (Remember the Norman Rockwell picture of the state trooper and kid next to him, That's Joe's Place) The breakfast is great, just like home, the portions are excellent, and the service is perfect, my coffee cup was never empty.
