Good food, very nice and attentive customer service. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was HOT and stuffy inside. Pho is something I can eat anytime of year but I don't want to be sweating while eating it. Even my 5 year old daughter commented that it was way too hot inside. Located right next to Lien Hoa Oriental Market, the parking lot situation could be a struggle sometime. Viet Kitchen, however, did an amazing job to renovate the place with newer furnitures and refresh decors. I actually have been to this place twice since its opening, for takeout. My friends and I really love their Viet Kitchen Special Noodle (Bún Thịt Nớng Chả Giò Đặc Biệt). The meats were well-seasoned and flavorful, just like what I had in Vietnam. So the authenticity for this dish is really on point. We also ordered pho for takeout. It was just okay, not the best. The broth was a bit bland. If you are vegetarian, they do have some options here for you. Highly recommend the Sour Soup (Canh Chua Đậu Hũ) with rice. I also ordered Milk Tea with Cheese Foam on top. Hot and New Restaurant, almost opened for 1 year. A true hidden gem. My mom and I definitely made the right choice to stop by here for some Vietnamese food. It was delicious. We ordered the lemongrass snails, the lemongrass clams, the claypot carmelized fish (Ca Kho To), stir fry garlic morning glory (water spinach), and the summer rolls. The snails and clams were cooked perfectly. Everything was seasoned very well. A great balance of sweet and salty. We will definitely stop by here again when we visit the Tampa area. The food here is good but I am giving them 3 stars because of the service I received. So the first time I tried this place, I called in to order for takeout. I waited 20 minutes and then went in to pick up my order.. only to find out that they didn't get my order? At that moment, I was asked to wait another 15 minutes for them to start my order... I decided to give them another chance... This time, I dined in with my friends. While eating, I placed an order to-go for my mom and sister. After we finished eating, we sat there and chitchat for about 20 minutes. Then we got up to go to the front desk to pay. The girl (waitress) asked if I got my to-go order and I said not yet, so she went to the back to check on my order. She came back and told me that they got so busy that they forgot my order... She, then, asked me to CANCEL my to-go order... she literally asked me to cancel my order!! I was speechless... What kind of service is this?!?! Stopped by on our way out of Tampa & so glad we did! We got the lemongrass steamed clams, grilled oysters w/ scallion sauce, stir fried prawns with garlic & butter, oxtail pho, kiddie (small portion) meatball pho, & a couple desserts including the tiramisu. Everything came out so quickly, and was insanely delicious! Everything just kept getting better & better with each dish. The service was amazing; the ladies that helped us were so warm, welcoming, & didn't mind all the questions we had about their dishes & desserts. When we were checking out, the woman ringing us up offered us a free dessert! (We had been looking through all they had in their dessert fridge after our meal & spent a lot of time describing their choices; she could tell trying to pick one was tough! A pleasant discovery. We have been going to Lien Hoa grocery for a long time and did not pay much attention to this little restaurant. It was pouring rain when we got out of the grocery store today so we decided to give this restaurant a try. A pleasant surprise! A very tasty true taste of pho. Other restaurants add too much sugar in the broth and destroy the tru pho taste. I am so happy to find a place with the true pho taste that I am hungry for. My husband had grilled pork bun. I have come here a few times while at work and they are pretty vegetarian friendly. The Thai chili lemongrass tofu is excellent. I also love the fruit tea here. I think this place is a lot better than Saigon Deli across the street. The food seems to be better quality and flavor for vegetarian options. read more

Being from Westminster, Ca we have high expectations for Vietnamese food. That being said Viet Kitchen met those expectations. We went here twice in the 6 days we were here. First time got the com gia đinh. 3 dishes were great. Second time got pho and com tam again both dishes were great. Pho is my favorite food of all time so my high standard is even higher for Pho and they held up! Service was good and the place felt like home/cozy. It's such a hidden gem. As being grown up in Vietnam for 16 years, I was surprised and nostalgic when the Vietnamese songs they played in the restaurant, it literally brightened up the day I visited. Food is def delicious but the restaurant is kinda small and a bit understaffed but overall it was a nice visit for sure. Since that was Labour's Day so I had to wait for ~20mins but the staff served us so good with friendliness and smiles. Their desserts were good too but I wish them to be bigger portion. We've been trying to find a place that has rockin pho ga since our place went out of business. Noticed they'd opened up Vietnam Kitchen on Waters, just East of Dale Mabry. I normally go to Vietnamese places and just order pho or bahn mi. On this visit I let me friends order and I just ate. We had clams that were very meaty and so flavorful. Garlic, green onions, peanuts and hot chili's, just an explosion of savory, salty and Spicy. Also, first time having snails! I said order what you would normally order and I will eat it. These were a surprise but also very meaty with a delicious fish sauce and peanuts to go along with it. An interesting texture, chewy, but great flavors to go along with them and a familiar ocean sea water after taste. We also had a soup with pineapple and a very meaty fish. A very savory pork dish and a delicious noodle dish with sweet beef. Everything tasted very fresh and very authentic. Once me and my family walk into a restaurant we get a vibe of how we feel about it. This restaurant gave us a really good one. Very patient and good customer service.
