No longer do I have to trek 12+ miles to Dublin or even way out to the Viet Mecca of San Jose just for some "good quality" pho or bun at a decent price. I'm sooo glad this place popped up! Now, here's a breakdown of this fine local mom-n-pop establishment: = Dining = + It's not entirely fine dining nor really romantical, but the set up in general does seem like it was once a cafe or burger joint. The booths were all around, clean table tops, clean utensils, and cushion bench seats. = = Starters / Apps = = + Banh Khot or mini kettle cakes ($7): Damn what an excellent little starter! These are crispy little cakes with a piece of shrimp inside. You wrap it with a piece of lettuce, add a leaf of mint, and dip it in the nuoc cham sauce. Man, and talk about a surprise of flavors! It's not as fancy looking as Vung Tau's banh khot, but I truly enjoyed their version. = = = Rice Plate / Pho = = = + Bo Luc Lac or shaking beef tenderloin ($14): Not damn, but OH DAMN on this dish! So lately, I've been trying to cut down on my beef consumption, but this I had to try. And I'm so glad I did. This beef was so soft and whatever it was marinaded in was simply superb! It was cooked with veggies, and came with a gratifying side of garlic rice. You can't go wrong ordering this... Unless you're vegetarian, then this'll pull you back to the dark side :) + Pho Bo ($12) with all cuts of beef: Not sure why I was in the beef mood, but with this place being new I had to try a bowl! The noodles were firm, and the broth was fairly light. Yet still very pleasing. There really isn't much of a "pho" presence in Livermore, as the next best bowl would probably be at Pho Saigon in Dublin. But if I'm ever in the mood, this'll definitely satisfy my "pho-fix"! This is the worst pho place for chicken noodle soup. I have never been a place that the soup is this salty. Omg I would not recommend this place at all. We immediately went to trade joes next door to grab ice cream and water. My daughter only took 2 bites. That's it!!! And finish the whole bottle of water. I didnt try the Pho and do base my ratings on the wonderful broth soup. We had the chicken salad, apring rolls combo, vermicelli bowl with a side of fried eggroll. I would come here just for the imperial spring rolls! They're the spring rolls that have a fried egg roll inside! They're able to make a vegetarian version which I was super excited about. One serving comes with two rolls. It was so good that we ordered another serving! We also tried the papaya salad and the veggie pho. Everything was nice, light and fresh. Next time we probably will order two orders of the imperial spring rolls and either the papaya salad or the soup. All of that was just too much for us in one sitting. Perhaps on a hot day we will go with the lighter and more refreshing option. Our servers were all really polite and attentive. It's not super crazy busy here so we were able to get a seat right away. Man oh man this spot is the shizzznit! Came spontaneously after eyeing this spot for a while with my wife and daughter and we were ashamed of ourselves for waiting so long. The shaking beef,spicy eggplant and the veggie pho were all incredible! Service was decent but the restaurant was busy so I wasn't too bothered by that especially with the food being as good as it was. Highly recommend but maybe come at a slower time to get a bit better service. Don't be shy to call your waiter over as well to order in case u want a shorter wait as well. The waiter was even nice enough to move the umbrella for us, while we were eating outside on a super hot day. We ordered the small kettle cakes (banh khot), the spring rolls, the papaya salad, pho dac biet, and broken rice beef dish. I cannot believe I have never reviewed Viet Noms... This is our go to Pho place, year round!! My son absolutely loves their Pho Ga and my husband enjoys their Pho Bo. I've consistently gotten their grilled chicken Pho Bun and it's always delicious. Before Shelter in Place, we'd go for lunch or dinner here every weekend & we've been consistent in getting take out as well. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and since we've become regulars, they know us! It's always a treat having a conversation over the phone when I call it in. Noodles in Pho was soggy which is an indicator that the noodles have been sitting in the broth for some time before serving. DO NOT use any of their Hoisin and Sriracha sauce. Flys were flying/landing all over it. Asked for bill from several employees-ended up walking up to register myself to pay AND STILL had to wait for someone to come to the register. After they placed the receipt on the table (not handed to me), before I could even grab the receipt from the table the woman went back to her "important" task to continue to wipe down the utensils. As a vegetarian it's hard to find good pho restaurants but I've never had an issue here! Clean inside and never too busy. Staff is super friendly and will let you know if there's fish sauce or meat broth or anything non vegetarian in your food and they'll substitute it with something else. We got the veggie pho with garlic rice, green beans (has fish sauce but we substituted it), and the Thai iced tea which is fire !! Definitely recommend 10000% it's our go to pho spot! read more

The mini kettle cakes was a little too sweet but just top it with some sriracha and it should tone it down. As for our entrees, I ordered the bo bun hue & she ordered a vermicelli bowl. My soup was amazing!! Had just the right amount of flavor and spices. It was delicious. Oh and they are a little pricey but you do get what you pay for. I would definitely come back! I've been to Viet Noms twice now, and it is definitely the best pho in Livermore. I grew up in east SJ and this pho comes pretty close to San Jose pho. Last time I was here, I had the Bun Bo Hue and this time I had the Bun Rieu. Both were solid! I have yet to order the pho, but I tried my fiancé's pho and the broth is on point. Also had the spring rolls and egg rolls - no complaints This place is definitely underrated and deserves more business! I really liked their version of papaya salad, which was accented with mint leaves, julienned carrots and fried shallots, as opposed to the cherry tomatoes and long beans of its Thai cousin. I also really enjoyed their sweet & spicy wings appetizer, as well as the mini kettle cakes, which were like a savory coconut-rice donut with shrimp & scallion filling. Crispy and doesn't have an overwhelming coconut taste to it. When the Pho Ga came out, it didn't look that flavorful but the broth was pretty good, had good flavor and not salty. Servers were attentive and friendly. The only thing I would say is their drinks aren't great. I tried the Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk, but it was watered down. This place hands down is the best Vietnamese spot ever! This place is soo much better than the Saigon chain. The Pho broth is super flavorful, light and filling. While the Vermicelli bowl was amazing. What really set the tone for this restaurant was the appatizer called the mini kettle cakes.
