We ordered in for dinner or the 4 of us recently and the food was delicious. We had rice noodle bowls with pork and egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and udon noodle seafood soup. They were all great! I like that they packaged the soup separately so the noodles didn't get weird. The soup was probably my favorite part of the meal! It got here in a very timely manner as well. This is a very cute vietnamese spot! The interior decor is absolutely modern unlike the other vietnamese restaurants I have been to. Parking is quite a toughy as it is shared with other businesses during lunch hour. Most of what I have seen is that many call in for their orders to pick up. While I was waiting for my order, I observed the workers. When guests finish and leave their table, these workers swarm in and switch the table linings to new ones and set up new utensils real fast. The workers looked like the people who wipes the sweat from the floor with a towel when a NBA basketball player falls down on the court. Anyway, I ordered a #89 Vermicelli Noodles with Tofu Eggrolls to go. You can have 2 meals for the price of one in this to go container! It's not bad. Some dishes on the menu are pretty solid, and leave me feeling like I ate in Little Saigon on my way through Albuquerque. Other dishes might rely too heavily on the fish sauce to drench the bland taste of the rice and some other ingredients. My friend hadn't been here so I decided to give this a second try. We walked in and was seated at a table. A few minutes later, we were asked to move to another table because there was a larger group coming to dine and the staff wanted to put the tables together. However, that table was never put together so we were wondering why we were asked to move at the first place. The food came out very quickly, which was nice. However, the taste was so-so. I ordered the pho but the soup was warm and had mild taste. The noodles stuck together which indicated that the noodles had been cooked beforehand and was reheated with the hot soup. The spring rolls were fresh but the dipping sauce was watery. After the food arrived for 15 minutes or so. We were given the check! We didn't ask for it though. Would I recommend this place to my friends? Probably I will but may be down the list. read more

Went for the second time and it was excellent. I had noodles with shrimp and it was delicious. Split an order of spring rolls and they were really great. My friend who loves this place and comes often had a rice dish with a pork chop. Although it was good she likes other things there better. Her husband swears by the soup. We split the bill and we each owed $10. I took home leftovers. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. read more

I wasn't impressed with the food. Their pho didn't have much flavor, and their fried rice was worse. My husband had to sprinkle with extra soy & sirachi. My grilled beef jasmine rice entree was half fat, half cartilage. So chewy, and just gross. They could at least trim all that! The amount of pickled veggies on my plate was just ridiculous. 2 strips of daikon radish....really? Might as well not put any. On the plus side, their fried egg rolls were tasty, and the meat in the pho was lean & thinly sliced. And the beef on the fried rice was lean, tender & perfect. I would not recommend this place! The customer service is horrible. We decided to spend our money elsewhere. We waited approximately 25 minutes for nothing. While others who were just seated had their orders taken immediately. The waitress knew she hadn't taken our order and literally ignored my family and I. Very good, some of the greens for the phó and vermicelli were weird and going bad. It was what I expected, which was still very good.

Are the 101 chicken with lemongrass Spivey. The dish wasn't very spiced but some Sriracha fixed that. Also the chicken was warm but the vegetables were a little cold. To start I hade some egg rolls and spring rolls both were on point. They were very busy but they kept pace with fast service and drinks. Overall good experience, the only reason I can not give 5 stars is because Saigon East is still bigger portion and higher quality and more Spicy. We eat here about once a week. The food is so good and affordable and even though the service is hit or miss, we don't care. We've sat sometimes for what felt like forever being ignored and then waited an eternity for our food after we finally did order. Did that keep us from returning? No. That's how good it is. We've stood in "line" with numerous open tables and never got so much as a look in our direction and still waited like idiots to be seated. We love the food and the bad service incidents have been far outnumbered by really great experiences. During the pandemic we have called Viet Taste probably ten separate times with no answer. Don't know why we kept trying but tonight they answered and it was comforting that they ignored me when I came to pick up my food. Don't get me wrong, I'm impatient and critical but for some reason Viet Taste gets a free pass. We always order pho, vermicelli patty with grilled pork and meatballs, and spring rolls. I'm new to ABQ and have tried several spots for Pho. This is my favorite this far. The vegetable and tofu Pho has a variety of veggies and they don't skimp on veggies nor tofu. I feel I've tried nearly every option on the menu, and I have never been disappointed with my selection. And you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. Parking can be hectic at times, as the parking spots are rather small and it's a shared parking lot. They do get busy, but I don't recall ever waiting more than 15-20 minutes. Great great great food! Service was OK. I'm from out of state (Dallas), and was craving Vietnamese food while we were in town. We ordered the wonton soup (appetizer portion) and it was delicious, the broth was flavorful and the wontons reminded me of the ones I had in Vietnam so it's definitely authentic. We also had the Bun Bo Hue, which hands down was my favorite! The spiciness was on point and although it was a little greasy, it was super yummy. The egg rolls and spring rolls we got were only OK, not bad but just not blow your mind good especially in comparison to their soups. I was amazed and surprised at the remodel Viet Taste had. The restaurant is twice the size and I didn't see a line waiting once while eating lunch today. Service was amazing, the food came out super quick and the Pho was very good! The egg rolls are amazing! The service was very quick too, great for a work lunch. Grosse. Nothing makes me more upset than to go to a restaurant and order dishes I know I can make at home way better, this restaurant has failed miserably. Furky was spot on with the review for Viet Taste. Perhaps this restaurant should spend less time advertising on the television and spend that extra $$ on making their food taste right. We ordered the following: -Thi Bo La Lop (Beef wrapped in Betel Leaf, not GRAPE LEAF) -Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle soup) -Mi Xao Do Bien (Crispy Noodles with seafood) The Mi Xao Do Bien came out cold and lacked sauce. Shrimp was overcooked and tasted rubbery. The Bun Bo Hue was not spicy, and taste like they put Mam Nem (fermented anchovy dip) in the stock, which is a big NO NO. The Bun Bo Hue should not taste fishy at all. The beef was tough when it should be tender and has the meat infused with the beefy stocky. The beef stock that it was served in was also sweet, which should not also be the case. I will not be coming here again. Terrible, just plain terrible. read more
