Went with the family for an early dinner on a Saturday. We've been here before so we also went early to beat the crowd. It is a quaint restaurant. We have never had a problem finding parking even during the times we went and it was packed. This is our go to when we're craving a Brazilian Steakhouse. We love the quality, the ambiance, and the kind service we always receive. Also, the price can't be beat. They are much more reasonable than other Brazilian Buffets with out compromising quality and service. Our favorite is definitely the picanha but all the items are delicious. We also love the cheesy bread and the pineapple. Another great thing is they allow you to bring your own wine. We regularly recommend this place to our friends and coworkers. read more

The Shoney's of churrasquerias. I went here with a good friend after a day of running errands in Dallas. The restaurant is in a small shopping center by an Exxon and an Inglesia sw Dios, But I'm from New Orleans, so, hole in the wall means good food, right? Well, no. The buffet lacks any soups, cheeses, cold cuts, and the usual artichoke hearts, etc. that most decent churrasquerias have. But that's not the crux of it. Most churrasquerias drown you in meat. And it's delicious. This place kept pushing chicken on us and the few rare times we got steak, it was tough. In a way, it's a saving grace that they were stingy. The price looked too good to be true. They don't bring the usual pan de queijo or bananas and polenta to your table. It's out drying on the bar. Which requires navigating people walking around aimlessly on their phones to the back of the restaurant to get to. Bad layout, bland food. I'd have gladly paid $20 more for person for a good meal and experience. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend that you avoid Fogo de Disappoint *Update* While it's nice that the owner replied and obviously cares about his reputation, with as bad as the meal service was, the scarcity of anything but parm port or parm chicken, never mind the 15 minutes waiting on my check until I finally had to go to the greeter's podium to request it, I'd feel better putting $65 on a blackjack bet than trying this restaurant again given all of the other options in DFW. We went here with family over the holidays. Kind of a mixed bag experience. Pros: the price is much less than what you normally pay for a Brazilian steakhouse. It's byob. And while the choices of meat are few, they're cooked well. Cons: The salad bar and sides are abysmal. The only good thing up there was the cheese bread. The only beef choices are different versions of sirloin... picana, top sirloin and bottom sirloin. It's also deafeningly loud. Overall. Craving some Brazilian meat but don't have the budget for Texas de Brazil? Come to Vila Brazil! For half the price of the other restaurants you get a similar experience. There aren't quite as many options, but to be honest sometimes it's overwhelming at the other places anyway. There are still many things to try between the salad bar and meats. I enjoyed most of them and got just as stuffed on wonderful food as I would at the other places. Service was also great. Our waitress was attentive and they were constantly bringing out food. This is a smaller place than the others, but I liked the intimacy. They take reservations (via Open Table), and I would recommend doing so if plan to have a large party or go during a peak time. Until I went to search for this place to review it, I had no idea I was pronouncing and, consequently, spelling the name wrong. I ate here about 48 hours ago at the time of this writing, and apparently I've been telling people the incorrect name of where four of us went to gorge ourselves as we journeyed on a quest for the infamous "meat sweats" phenomenon. Therefore, humble Yelp reader, if you are reading these words, then you already know the name of the place is Vila Brazil. And for anyone else who was misinformed by me during that tumultuous 48-hour window, well, hopefully Yelp's SEO algorithm gets you here and we can all discover how good this place is by its actual name. Four of us, all dudes in our 20s or 30s, descended upon Vila Brazil last Friday night in a display of masculine gluttony and irrational decisions. A Fogo-esque place with non-Fogo prices on a Friday night? A salad bar with some different items not typically found at your EG Steakhouses or Texas de Brazils? Xingu beer in ice-cold glasses? It was possibly the longest car ride of all time due to the anticipation and excitement, despite only being about 30 minutes. We parked in the neighboring lot by some trucks and walked up to the corner spot in the strip mall, prepared for mistakes to be made in the pursuit of all-you-can-eat glory. After stepping inside, we kind of stood by the abandoned hostess stand until a waiter flagged us down and motioned us to a table. The place was relatively empty, but still kind of crowded. If you read that last sentence and thought "that makes no sense," you're kind of correct - despite the empty tables, the furniture might be a little too close together. I have no idea how the food runners and waitstaff navigate these narrow spaces between tables and chairs, because some of the seats are really, really cozy/cramped. If they took maybe two or three tables away and got some more breathing room in the dining room, it would help. We made an obligatory trip through the salad bar to at least create the illusion we might try to eat healthy, but it did not last long. However, our trip through the salad bar was tasty, and when you couple the rice with the house hot sauce, that stuff really comes alive. Having said that, do heed the staff's warning when they say that sauce is really hot. It's a shade duller than construction cone orange, but it will have you wishing your tongue was closed for repairs if you eat too much of it at one time. In no time we had our table placard switched from red to green so the parade of meats could begin. We only had one of these placards for the table, and a quick glance around the room indicated that was the norm. Kind of an anomaly depending on if you're on a date and one of you isn't eating while the other is still amassing plates of food, but we kept ours to green most of the night since there was a very real chance one of the four of us would be attempting to eat their weight in garlic beef. And oh, that garlic beef was legit. From sausages to bottom sirloin, chicken to a meat I'm not even going to attempt to spell, it was all good. Sure, there was not as much variety as some of the other Brazilian steakhouses you probably know and love, but what we had to try (three and four times apiece) was universally good. By the time the charred pineapple with cinnamon spice came by, I made room in my stomach between the remnants of my last Xingu and the oxygen that was keeping me semi-conscious. The team here was awesome, too. The guy that seated us got us started with a smile, and then another waiter took over for our table with an awesome disposition as he hopped from table to table. A waitress made sure our glasses were always filled with a speed and efficiency that made me think she might be part-ninja. The food runners could not have been friendlier. Really, from the general attitudes of everyone under this roof, you cannot help but feel welcomed and in a good mood when you come here. One guy in our group had been here a few times, but those of us who made this our maiden voyage felt like we were already family with the team. And truthfully, I'm already anticipating another visit at some point in the future. With a friendly staff, delicious food and a price that smiles favorably on my wallet, Vila Brazil is an easy place to recommend. Meat was good but terrible service. They've been skipping us for the meats as there was a large group beside us that they've been servicing majority of the time. Manager asked them how everything was but didn't asked us. I caught the manager's attention and told him we haven't been serviced meat for 20 mins and also advised they've been skipping us most of the time. This is a Brazilian style type steakhouse, we came for lunch. This is probably one of the most inexpensive Brazilian restaurants in the DFW area. The decor feels very outdated and so does the tables and chairs. They have a decent salad bar and they have an OK selection of chicken and meat. When we were here they came by with just two types of chicken dishes and three types of meat cuts. The meat was good but not great. I assume they have more meat selections when you eat here for dinner. If you want to go to a Brazilian steakhouse but don't want to pay the expensive prices, this is a good place. read more

After a long and strenuous workout, my girl and I were on the hunt for a buffet. We were exactly 1 hour away from completely starving. I pulled up Yelp (because it helps to yelp) and searched for "Buffets" then sorted by Rating. Vila Brazil was number 1 so we headed this way. Upon arrival I was a tad bit worried because it was at the end of a shopping center next to a $10 and under store, and a CVS that probably won't make the chopping block the next time CVS does budget cuts. Anyways, I went with my gut (and the great rating on Yelp) and we charged ahead. We were immediately greeted with a warm smile, low lighting (perfect) and a nice clean table. The buffet portion has some things I've never seen before at a Brazilian steakhouse. Things like fried zucchini and chicken wings. They were all very tasty. We ordered a bottle of Alamos Malbec and waited for the meat. But, the reason we're all here...how was the meat!? It. Was. Great. First the ones shaped like C's (I think they called it picante or picaña), very tasty and medium rare which is how normal people eat steak. ;) Next was the garlic beef, Superb. Chicken wrapped in bacon, Above average. Sausage, Ok. Sirloin, excellent. And my personal favorite, the lamb, was soooooo good. But wait....suddenly....the heavens parted....and an angel floated down to our table. He was a small Spanish man and on his skewers were two large, cooked pineapples with cinnamon sprinkled on the outside. Never again! It's a Saturday evening and we came in around 8:40. Bad service and subpar food when it's this hour. We are only a party of 2. Other 5 tables are group of people; to our right is a party of two as well but can be easily seen. We were situated in the middle where perhaps it would be hard to see us if you're not paying attention. We only like three things here; picanha, lamb and grilled pineapple. We have another place in Hurst that we go to, but they didn't serve grilled pineapple that's why we came here. Anyway, we never got to try the lamb and grilled pineapple. They keep on skipping their table they're main focus are the group of people. Lucky for the other party of two because their location is easily seen. I know we are only a party of two but we are also paying customers. The side dishes were starting to crust on my plate. I would have gotten their attention if they have at least glanced our way. When the lady that brings drinks asked if we have meat, I said "They've been skipping us". She the proceed to ask my husband if he wants beer. You think she would try to fix it, but nope. We decided it's time to go. I told the guy, the service is bad. At least he was apologetic even though it is not his fault. He tried to appease us by giving sodas. The gauchos are very nice. The food is delicious but you do wait a while for the meat to come your way. When you almost get full with the salad bar somehow they know and that's when they start coming with the meats. I'm not sure why the females that work there are very grouchy, always with an attitude. On my sons birthday I asked one of the female waiters to bring a cake to sing happy birthday to him as a surprise. She asked me who? Which I said quietly the one in the corner. She goes up to him and says can I see your ID to make sure is your birthday so we can bring your free cake!!! "I couldn't believe it" I did mentioned to the "main waiter that's has been working there forever" but she just shook her shoulders and said a lame sorry" Another time we got there and the host said we needed a reservation being 6pm on a Friday for a party of 6. We were like ohhh sorry we didn't know... the whole hour an a half that we were there, I think there was maybe 3 tables of customers. She just kept giving us this nasty look like we did something it was actually funny. After reading all the great reviews, and hearing the word of mouth, we were super excited to try this place. We were pre warned that it was going to be crowded, and that it was. But that's not the part that bothers me. When we walked in, we were quick to be sat down, we were put next to a wall that barely fit us, the woman that helped us, was nice at first, and very helpful. But soon we realize that would be the last of that. Let's get to the food, I was impressed to see that there was quite a few things on their salad bar that aren't normally on salad bars, they only had one salad option, very few vegetables, but I did like that they had the Brazilian bread, polenta, fried cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and beef empanadas. So some of these things were good, some lacked in flavor. The Brazilian bread was very dense. And I think it had been sitting on the salad bar for too long as it was very hard at the bottom. It is supposed to be all you can eat meat, for a place that says that it has many options, we only saw maybe four of those options. The parmesan chicken, which was burnt several times that it came up to us, the sausage, which was very greasy, the garlic beef which had no taste whatsoever, and the chicken legs. Overall we were quite unimpressed. During this time our server refilled our drinks once maybe twice, but overall began to ignore us once some larger parties came in. Every time we tried to get her attention she would look the other way as fast as possible, it was very frustrating. When it came towards the end of the meal, we asked if we could have some of the cinnamon pineapple, we were really excited to try it as the reviews boast that it is delicious. And honestly it was the best part of our meal. What made us a little upset when we got the bill was that they do not let you know that they do charge for it. It's only $2, but after the experience that we had it was kind of just the last straw. If I'm going to be charge for additional things that are usually free at other Brazilian steakhouses I just want to know. I feel like the lack of flavor in the food, and the lack of choices that they actually offer, along with the service and the extra charges, have brought me to the conclusion that 1 out of 5 stars is going to be the best grade for this place. Atmosphere: Me and some friends went to Vila Brazil on just last Sunday afternoon. We came in and the restaurant was a small/medium size restaurant, with a small salad/sides buffet at the back right, a small bar at the back left, a very small and sparse convenient-store like room in the front connected to the restaurant, and the rotating skewered meat in full view at the back. They had several men walking around with the meat on skewers. Drinks: We quickly sat down at a four-seat table and got out drinks. They had fresh squeezed juices. I opted for the fresh orange juice, but later I saw them bring out fresh squeeze lime juice that looked so delicious and unique that I wish I had gotten that instead! The lime juice was light creamy green, as though it was a milkshake, but that was an illusion due to the fresh-squeezed factor. Never have I seen lime juice that looked like this. Food and Service: Unlike other Brazilian steakhouses, we were not given plates nor cards to indicate to the servers whether to keep offering meat to us or stop. After sitting for a while at our table with no plates and watching my friends' eyes stare hungrily at the meat being served to other tables, I took the initiative and grabbed plates for us. Then, the feasting began. It's true what others say that service is a bit slow, and that may be them trying to get you to get full off the salad bar or for the 20-minute fullness feeling to set it. Nevertheless, the meat was provided plentiful and fast enough for me who does not eat meat as much as others. This Sunday, they served picanha (Brazilian famous specialty cut), top sirloin, sausage, parmesan pork loin, grilled chicken leg, and another cut I forgot the name of. My favorite in order was the grilled chicken leg, parmesan pork loin, and picanha. I really have to rave about the grilled chicken. Oh my god it was fantastic. Crisp, seasoned, juicy, tender, oohhhhhhhh. Makes me happy just remembering it. The other beef cuts were good too, but I am not a fan of steak really. Requires too much chewing for my liking, but I could tell they do it right here - pink inside and outside sear, juicy, tender. Side bar: They had a decent selection for being small. I tried the feijoada (traditional Brazilian black bean pork stew), chicken vegetable salad, and grilled vegetables. Good, not gread. The feijoada was a lot better and the highlight of my experience at Agora in California. The feijoada let me down here. Also had the grilled pineapple and flan. These were a delicious ending and I liked how I can get just a tiny slice to end the very filling meaty main meal. Price: The price per person on a Sunday afternoon was only $16.75 or something. Such a fantastic price for the amazing meat that was offered! I heard Fogo de Chao and similar establishments are upwards of $30-$50. This was a great price. For the people that gave low ratings, that was probably a bad day, they were probably more uptight than me and my friends about wanting fast service, or other such random but not impossible events. And for people giving a low rating for only offering 5-7 meat selections, keep in mind that this is not a chain restaurant and it's better that they do a few things well than a lot of things just okay. Also, if they had more meat selections, it may be a higher base price. Remember, you get what you pay for. Final suggestion: I say, if you're in the area, try this place out and decide for yourself. Delicious, fun, nice, and good price overall. If you don't like it, your only loss is paying $18 for eating a ton of meat, veggies, potatoes, and flan. read more

Come here for the food but not the ambiance- they have solid Brazilian for a really good price (cheaper than Boi Na Braza or Fogo by far), but the salad bar is definitely sad looking and it's located in a not so nice looking strip mall. All the meats we tried were good- my favorite is still the picanha, but the top and bottom sirloin, chicken leg, sausages, and flap steak were all flavorful. The roasted pineapple dusted with cinnamon was delicious, and a must try for its uniqueness. However, the pork loin was too dry,and the garlic beef was too garlicky for me. From the salad bar, my favorites were the pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), fried plantains, and the flan. Everything else didn't look that fresh so I didn't bother to eat anything else. Overall, for $22.99/person, I thought this was a solid meal- just don't come in with super high expectations. Service was alright- they didn't go above and beyond but were attentive enough. I FOUND A DIAMOND! Amazing food, 4 times better than Texas de Brazil or Buena Braza. And it's half the cost. They have more meats than I can take pictures of. DO NOT SKIP THE CINNAMON ROASTED PINEAPPLE! BEST THING EVER! Meats are perfectly marinated, not saturated with salt or tons of seasonings. Just perfect! Great salad bar with anything you could want. Wow! The place is almost hidden in a corner of a strip mall but, so do not let the simple appearance fool you. We went there for a quick lunch and loved it. I have dined at Texas De Brazil and Fogo de Chao & can honestly say the meat and quality of the food it's just as good. The main difference is the presentation and the buffet area is not as fancy. But we got our basics from any churrasqueria. Then the check was 1/4 of what you will pay at the other places. Best kept secret!!! read more

This is probably my favorite place in Texas so far I loved the waiter he didn't speak great English but his communication skills were great !!!! I got everything to a T So the "food bar" has a great selection of different foods ranging from fried bananas to mixed rice o have to admit one of the best "buffet" selections I've seen since I was a child!! I give this place five stars not only because great service but the food is great as well we will definitely be back Wait did I mention the house made lemonade?????
