Meat Lovers Pizza & Hawaiian Pizza

Amazing Italian Food!! We ordered meatballs, meat lovers pizza, & Hawaiian pizza. The chef is from Sicily so the food is authentic!! We were visiting the area, but we will definitely be back here when we return! AND it's BYOB so if you want a refreshing beverage bring your own! It's not a fancy place but the food is fantastic!

It's a little hard to see from the road and you need to be careful going in and out of parking because the road curves and you can't see far for cars. Got four types of toppings on three pizzas. Pepperoni, cheese, mushroom, and the works. All were very good. Pretty close to New York pizza. Toppings were high quality. There was quite a wait (40min) for the pizzas but it seems like a small place not made for pumping out lots of pizzas at once. Previous orders of just a single were pretty short wait (15min). There are not a lot of pizza places in the area but I'm glad what is here is very tasty.

A little hard to find, but it's right next door to the Market, in a small white building. It didn't look like it was open but there was a neon sign in the window which indicated that they were, indeed, OPEN. The restaurant appears to be family run, very clean, and they were very busy taking orders over the phone. We decided to have hamburgers and fries. Delish. While we were eating, we lost count of how many take outs went out the door. We overheard other patrons talking about how good the lasagna is (which they were out of) and also the calzones. Next time we come it will be for the Italian!

    Street sign.

Great meal and great service!!!…read more The staff could not be more friendly!! After a couple of "nice" meals around the Brevard and Sapphire area we kind of lowered our expectations of the local fare. However we were definitely pleased with our dining experience. While we didn't have a huge meal, the meal we had was delicious. The bread was warm with pesto olive oil for dipping. I had the Eggplant Rollatini and the Gorgonzola Salad. My dining partner had the perfectly dressed Caesar Salad and Linguine Alle Vongole. To finish it off ,they had homemade apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend Osteria del Monte!!!

Our friends are regulars and had a reservation but she was a bit stand-offish and I think we would have been turned away had our hosts weren't regulars. The restaurant itself wasn't crowded and has nice outdoor seating. Our waiter was nice and informative, he acknowledged that half-portions are available which is nice in an Italian restaurant. I had chicken piccata, I found the sauce very good but the chicken under the sauce was bland- no seasoning. The cannelloni was tasty. Our hosts enjoyed the fish. A caveat- always ask the price for the off menu fish specials- it's often expensive.

The restaurant is located on the main street that runs through the town making it easy to find. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up quickly. The staff we encountered during both visits were friendly and professional. The food was exceptional each visit. The eggplant parmigiana starter was tender and so flavorful. Three of the four of us ordered it on the second visit as it was that good. The beef carpaccio and meatball starter were also enjoyed. For entrees we had the trout Frances, stuffed halibut special, the gnocchi special, the mushroom tortellini and the linguine pescatore. All dishes were delcious while the trout Frances, mushroom tortellini and linguine pescatore were our favorites. It is worth mentioning their gnocchi could not have been better prepared as it was like a fluffy pillow as gnocchi should be. Had it been paired with the truffle sauce from the mushroom tortellini then it would have been perfection. For dessert, we sampled several ice creams, sorbets, the tiramisu and the Blueberry Coconut Layered cake. The raspberry sorbet and cappuccino Oreo gelato were the fan favorites for the dessert course. Ristorante Paoletti receives our highest recommendation as it is on point with offering a positive atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.

It is away from from the beaten path of the Smokies and they recommend reservations for dinner. Open at 3pm, I called and he gave us a 6:15 time which worked well on a slower Wednesday. The entrance gives way to a nice bar area with a few TVs, booths and white linen tables. We each settled on a bottle of Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio and the mussels appetizer and bruschetta. Our waiter Andrei was professional and prompt. We decided to have a glass of wine and enjoy conversation and our apps without ordering our entrees and expediting the occasion. Andrei checked back several times and kept our waters full and was very patient. We settled on clams fettuccini with a white wine butter sauce and my lady got the mussels in the same sauce. It was a garlic lover's delight and I'm certain I'll never be a vampire. We enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere was relaxed. A liquid dessert pour of tequila and whiskey settled us and we skipped dessert although it was tempting. Overall the prices were a bit higher but the service was excellent and our meal rang true. It was a great first impression and we had leftovers. It will be added into our rotation and look forward to trying other pastas and seafood.

The Frutti di Mare is phenomenal!!!…read more We happened upon this wonderful location by watching "Adventure is Out There" on YouTube. Totally off the beaten path, and so worth it. Just when you think you're lost, you arrive. The Focaccia bread that is served really good. Suggest getting marina as opposed to olive oil for dipping. The meatball was nice sized (big enough to share) and marinara sauce was really good. The Frutti di Mare was suggested by our waiter Anthony (very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings) to use white wine sauce. It was a great suggestion. The ingredients were obviously fresh and the portion size was easily shareable. We shared a Tiramisu. And let me preface that my wife has never liked this dessert. But the YouTube review swayed her perspective. And she loved it. You can tell that it's a labor to make (we talked to the owner's wife and she concurred). The only negative would be due to personal preference. The Caesar salad dressing didn't have anchovies. It was lemon forward and good, but it's just something that we like.
