At 7:15 one evening we called to insure that they were open- twice. No one answered. We arrive at 7:25 for dinner, we were asked if we were picking up and when we said no we were told they couldn't serve us because they closed at 8:00. The sign on the door says they close at 8:00- suffice it to say we were not happy. Just say no orders taken after 7:00 and be done. The food isn't great but it's convenient. If there was another pizza place around the place would be out of business. read more

The restaurant itself is in what feels like a basement. It was decorated very cute, and had a few tables. There weren't any customers when we arrived and there were 3 teenage girls just hanging out. It's a little hard to see from the road and you need to be careful going in and out of parking because the road curves and you can't see far for cars. Got four types of toppings on three pizzas. Pepperoni, cheese, mushroom, and the works. All were very good. Pretty close to New York pizza. Toppings were high quality. There was quite a wait (40min) for the pizzas but it seems like a small place not made for pumping out lots of pizzas at once. Previous orders of just a single were pretty short wait (15min). There are not a lot of pizza places in the area but I'm glad what is here is very tasty. read more

the lasagna was spectacular last night. fresh and better than i can make it myself with neopolitan grandparents on both sides. we recently moved to lake toxaway from cashiers and it is worth the ride. hard to see from the road but on the right side of the road heading from cashiers attached to a market. the parking lot is tricky/ hilly so be prepared. very little to no atmosphere! but the food imho makes up for it. sit in the back as far from the front door as possible AS THERE IS A STEADY STREAM OF TAKE OUT CUSTOMERS WITH SMILES. we sat near THE DOOR and regretted it.u. back to the food. they ask you if you want bread and itbwas warm and yummy with no additional charge. IF I RECALL CORRECTLY IT HAD plastic tablecloths and some disruptive teenagers hanging around, your basic ITALIAN JOINT mountain style. by the way, the salad that came with our meal was a mix of basic and field greens with olives, tomatoes, red onion, and cucumbers.. excellent ranch dressing.We will come one night a week as we live nearby. give it a try. if you need sophitication, avoid this place. read more

A little hard to find, but it's right next door to the Market, in a small white building. It didn't look like it was open but there was a neon sign in the window which indicated that they were, indeed, OPEN. The restaurant appears to be family run, very clean, and they were very busy taking orders over the phone. We decided to have hamburgers and fries. Delish. While we were eating, we lost count of how many take outs went out the door. We overheard other patrons talking about how good the lasagna is (which they were out of) and also the calzones. What a great new place for locals and visitors to come for lunch or dinner!!!!! The menu is full of great options. The crust on the Stromboli is crispy - and loaded with ingredients that you choose. The lasagna is baked in one of the biggest pans I have ever seen with loads of filling. There is outside seating and they are very friendly with the four legged friends. Don't fret if you think there are too many carbs because the salads are fabulous also. They offer something for each member of the party. read more

Call early in the evening because although the hours were stated they said they wanted to close early so it seems to be that the hours are flexible. Worst pizza service in the area. For almost $50, we got a large "Buffalo chicken" pizza which was just cheese and bacon. It was also cold and dry. The antipasto salad that was supposed to be spring greens cut with iceberg ended up being some bastardization of 90% iceberg with some dollar general meat and cheese. Save your money and get the flat bread at the gas station on 64 or just get frozen pizza from ingles. read more

We visit this place almost weekly. Pros - The cheesesteak sandwiches are amazing!! The pizza and calzone are very good. Cons - the restaurant is hard to see from the road so you have to really watch out for it. It is small inside so if you don't like sitting near other people, this may be an issue... although a lot of their clientele seems to be take out. There are a few tables outside. Unfortunately, some of the staff have a bit of an attitude. If they acted like they appreciated your business, this place would be a 10 out of 10. The hours are not always as posted. They will close early.. so if you are planning to go later, call first. read more

Takeout for a large group was so-so. We ordered many pastas (chicken alfredo and chicken parmesan), buffalo chicken roll, and a sub. The chicken on the chicken alfredo was not proportionate to the large quantity of pasta. The flavor was great though! Antipasto was delicious too. Love Villa Amato! We ended up ordering pizza twice from here during our trip to Cashiers. The pizza was fabulous both nights, and the staff was wonderful! We hadn't planned on ordering pizza a second night, but a tree that fell across power lines and knocked out the power changed our plans. Villa Amato was slammed with people who suddenly needed to figure out supper and they were clearly staffed for a regular Thursday night -- but they handled everyone and everything so well! The meatballs subs are very good here. The young woman who waits on you is a little lackluster in personality, but she's efficient. The young man is nice. The inside of the restaurant is cozy & I would imagine with a fire going, it would be terrific. read more

We just arrived on a Monday evening and found this gem, a local spot where we didn't have to drive to get dinner. Apparently new from the FB posts, family-owned and operated. We ordered a large Margherita pizza added sausage and it was delicious, crispy crust, great sauce and fresh mozzarella. We love pizza and thought it was really great. Service was wonderful. Looks like they have BYOB and there were several diners who brought their own bottles of wine. It's located next to the historic toxaway market so that's convenient! Several patrons came to pick up to-go orders, also, while we were there. There are about seven or so tables of various sizes inside and some outside seating. There were a few larger party tables if you had 6 or so people and a few four and two tops. We saw some lasagna and wings come out while we were there and all looked really good. I ordered a large pizza on a Saturday night, September 25th 2021, around 6 o'clock, For takeout. I was told it would be 20 to 30 minutes. When I ordered the pizza I set the timer on my I phone for five minutes. I live less than one mile away, I left immediately. I wanted to be there before the pizza would be done. I brought a warming pizza bag with me. The pizza was waiting on on me!!!! I got there in less than 7 minutes!! Realistically once you order a pizza it should take at least 10-15 minutes if f they are making it fresh. It was done and in the box even before I even payed for it!! There is no doubt that that pizza was previously made and all they did was add the two toppings I ordered and reheated it!!!!! God knows what time they made the pizza. It tasted like cardboard. I called and complained and I was basically told have a good night and she hung up on me. The manager for the night actually hung up on me!!! Stay away! I live here at Mountain Falls motor coach resort and I can promised her, the manager for the night that I would spread the word. Stay away! read more
