So this place doesn't look like much and unless you live around here you wouldn't think to go. 2 tables for seating and a rough looking place at that, but the take out slices are huge, not NY style huge but one is enough huge. I get the sausage and usually there's like 10-12 huge chunks. It's a flat hard crust type pizza , nothing extraordinary about it really but for the $$$, unbeatable. Horrible service. Took almost two hours to get the food. When we called to complain that it was cold, inedible and incorrect they said they were short staffed and refused to give us a refund. So I thought you guys were exaggerating about the size of the calzone here. Surely this thing would fit on MY dinner plate. So, uh, I went to go take it out of the delivery guy's hand and I dropped it. seriously. The thing is the size of a steering wheeland as heavy as a coffee table. DEE-LICCCC-IOOUSS. Comes with one topping, but I added a couple more. I was absolutely starving and still could only eat half. The best calzone I 've had in the city yet. I wish they gave pizza sauce instead of marinara sauce, but I'll know what to ask next time. They've been accommodating in the past when I've stopped for a slice. The pasta has been a weaker choice, so now I just stick with pizza and pizza-like products. Bonus points for the free pop. That always wins brownie points for me. I love Villa Palermo Pizza! They have delicious pizza and crunchy fried chicken and onions rings. Are there any vegetable lovers here? Then you must try their salads! They are all so tremendously good. This restaurant really knows how to "hook" a salad up! My favorite is the chicken breast salad that comes with bread and butter. I love Villa Palermo!! I am Sicilian and I am very picky when it comes to sauce. I will tell you, this sauce taste exactly like what I grew up on. Very authentic! I order food at least 4-5 times a month. The baked mostaccioli and lasagna are great. Also, the ribeye sandwich is delicious. Pizza sucks . I've ordered a slice with pepperoni & sausage at least 3 times & my cheese & toppings would be on one side of the container & the crust would be on the other side . Wings are tough & small now . They cover it in sauce but you can tell there's no real seasoning on the wing . It's just not good . Don't waste your time . read more

My favorite far north side pizza. The fried chicken dinner was good however they ran out of barbecue sauce . Like what ! The Palermo special is great so is just sausage pizza . My last order my stomach was upset after eating it . I'm not sure why but I never had this problem before the only difference is I receive my food lighting fast. Ordered pizza from here on New Years day. It was OK. A little one the greasy side. Delivery was quick though and it was fairly priced. I agree with some of the other reviews that the telephone manner of the girl who takes the orders leave a lot to be desired. Maybe they were busy? The interior of the place is terrible, as many years as I've been coming here I've never even thought of dining inside. The service has been good almost everytime I've been here. I love the mushroom and sausage pizza, it's one of the best I've ever had especially late night! My friends have had the Italian beef and loved it, I've never tried it cause I always have to have their pizza, it's an addiction! Their fried mushrooms were also very good and I'm picky with my fried mushrooms. This place delivers just be prepared to wait a while til you get it. Villa Palermo has the best Italian Beef. Their au jus has a little kick to it and if you get a Palermo Beef on garlic bread, it is almost sinful. They have other great stuff, plus always a daily specials which are great for saving money. Delivery is prompt and courteous. read more

As with any place you order from on a regular basis you are going to catch them on their off day's. so to the people who didn't have a positive experience here I'm sorry and I hope you give it another try. But on the reviewing note... the pizza here is fantastic. The ingredients are fresh and they cook the pizza till its nice and crisp. Their calzones are also a favorite of mine. They deliver pop standard with their pizza's and they will still let you use the coupons on the back of the menu for some dollar amount off, which usually comes to about the cost of the delivery, so tip the delivery guy well. I have made this place my Sunday night rib dinner night. The ribs are fall off the bone good and prices very reasonably. The chicken tenders are the best in the city, I dare you to argue that. Still the Best! The portions, the food is exactly what you expect. Excellent thin crust pizzas, and sandwiches are the rite size. Lemon Chicken special is awesome, as well as the vesuvio chicken. Ribeye steak sandwich the best around. Can get any extra item on the side for your burgers. I always get Pepperoni cheese burger. This was our first time ordering. Ordering was easy. Food arrived before the alloted time. It was hot and exactly what we ordered. We ordered 2 medium 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 sausage, one thin crust and one pan pizza. We got a veggie combo and chicken fingers. All were hot and crisp, and maintained the crisp until they were gone.
