Villagio strikes me as being a rather odd place located in the midst of Mizner Plaza right smack on Plaza Real with most everything upscale surrounding it but Villagio offering little but the mediocre in taste, quality and presentation both its foods and its cocktails. The attempt of it, I think is to be Italian, but the previously frozen calamari was rubbery and the sauce bland. The parmesan atop the carpaccio seemingly rather mundane and service eeeek! What Villagio strikes me as being is tourist venue aimed more at those who desire to be a part of the "Boca Scene" as opposed to a place for those seeking quality in their foods. read more

Nice location in Mizner park. High end restaurant food was ok but pricey and the place is getting run down looking . The Mens bathroom looks like it's having plumbing issues and lots of damage in it . My cousin took the family out for her birthday on February 25th there were 9 of us. The food was good. Her bill came to about 700.00. One of the cousins let the waiter know that it was her birthday. They brought out a piece of cake with a candle and we all sang happy birthday. The next day when she went over her huge bill she saw that they charged her 9.00 for that piece of cake. It wasn't the money but that was outrageous after a 700.00 bill. She called the manager and he said there is nothing he can do about it. Ridiculous. This restaurant has an excellent location at Mizner Park so other restaurants and bars for cocktails afterwards if you like, with a nice looking bar area as well. The atmosphere is very nice with big windows onto Mizner;s walkway and the food met expectations and was reasonably priced for the location. The waiter was nice but a bit goofy and too friendly, a little banter is OK but he was too engaging and needed to back off a bit. Overall a good experience that I recommend. read more

My husband and I had dinner last night at Villagio, and as usual the food was fabulous. Nour the manager is always very hospitable and welcoming, and Henry our server was very nice and efficient. I came here last week for a dear friend's birthday. Before this visit I have noticed the restaurant when in Mizner Park but it really never seemed to be my crowd (too stuffy and pretentious). I thought and wished my friends had made a reservation so that we could've sat outside on this nice cool night but instead we had to take what they offered us and unfortunately it was a table in the very back of the restaurant; not the restaurants fault but I wasn't comfortable nonetheless The prices on the wine menu seemed a little high but then again we're in Mizner Park. We ordered a bottle and even though the waitress said it was an excellent choice, I thought the bottle was just alright. Although the menu had plenty of choices it looked as if it came from a mama and pa restaurant that would be outside of a upscale plaza like Mizner. I ended up ordering the Linguine Vongole (which is pasta with clams and white wine sauce). I am happy to say it was better than expected. One of my friends ordered the Lobster Ravioli and it also was pretty good. No birthday is complete without a dessert so I told the waitress about my friends birthday and ordered a tiramisu for the table. The staff came out and saying happy birthday which was a pleasant surprise. We were going to Loch Bar, but it has been closed for renovations. We walked by this place and it seemed pretty busy and looked like a nice restaurant. The hosts and servers were great nothing to complain about them but the food was awful. For a nice place in mizner charging upscale prices, the food should at least be edible. No one at my table could finish anything. We ended up stopping at a fast food place on the way home. This place is for someone who has money and doesn't know good food. I'm giving one star - not for the food but for the lovely girl Bianca who looked after myself and four other girls. We planned a Thanksgiving meal together as we do every year and one of the girls wanted to go to Villagio - thinking it was going to be wonderful. We had gone to Ruth's Chris and Season 52 in the past - both restaurants were spectacular. Unfortunately i cannot say the same for Villagio - we all chose the Thanksgiving turkey meal. Not one of us ate more than one quarter of it. It was heavily salted and the turkey tasted very strange. Thick slices of goodness knows what - swimming in gravy. It did not even resemble turkey (at least not turkey I've eaten). After talking to the waitress she had three of the meals removed and said we would receive apple pie to make up for everything. The apple pie never arrived so then she offered limoncello which was funny because one of the girls doesn't drink and we were all driving. Love , love, love Villagio. The food and the ambiance can not be beaten. Location in Mizner, east Boca is sexy, romantic and fabulous. The food is always delicious. Unfortunately, the service department needs help. Came by Saturday night with my family to celebrate my husband's new car. This was my parent's first time here and I wanted to wow them. Villagio of course came to mind and so we brought them here at around 9pm. Mizner was light up with music, chatter and lights. We came in and were sat right away by a floor manager. Our server was lovely but did take a while to bring out our drinks and food throughout the night. It was pretty busy but still we expected better service. The young man was sweet and was running around all night, so I have a soft spot for him. I definitely recommend the restaurant as the food is scrumptious. This time around , I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was a great choice. There was a generous amount of lobster and the creamy sauce topping the raviolis was delightful. Both my husband and mother went with the chicken alfredo and they were pretty happy with their choice. I did order a capirinha and I had to send it back and replaced it with another signature drink. They have many options to choose from including a small gluten free menu. I will come back again and hopefully service will be A1 this time around. read more

Came with a party of 6 today and were seated in a 1/2 empty place so we were thinking we were going to get lucky with fast service. After 1/2 an hour we didn't have any of our meals which were pasta and Cesar salads.. simple and quick meals. They kept saying the meal was coming out so we waited another 5 minutes... then another 5 minutes. Finally we gave them 3 more minutes afteer that before our table walked out. Not a fan. The food is probably 3 stars, i.e. good but not great. However they price it closer to a 4 or 5 star meal which is frustrating. The service is just bad. All of the servers seem to have been teenagers who were doing this as their first job. Didn't see our server for a solid 30 minute stretch, so if you're going to eat here, figure out everything you're going to order immediately cause you might not see your server again. Huge seating capacity indoors or alfresco. Dined here many times. Excellent food. Entrees served Northern Italian with veggies and potatoes, no pasta sides. They do not rush you out. We sat outside with friends from 7:20-9:30 no problem. Huge salads are shareable between two people. Service is slow but relaxed. Only problem on Sat night in seasons 2 dishes arrived and two remaining came 8 min later. Parking in tiered garage was difficult. Had to wait for an empty. The best part of villagio is the location. The location is brilliant especially if one is sitting out side it's a great atmosphere to eat in. The food is average, nothing amazing or a wow factor. I had salmon with shrimp on top, salmon would of been much much better if it was not drenched in Sauce! The beer I ordered also came out warm and poured with just pure froff and no beer!! Today we were not very hungry so we thought we'd just have Happy Hour bites which are generally small food portions and discount alcohol beverages. To our disappointment we were told the restaurant no longer offers a Happy Hour so we decided to go to Max's Grille next door which still has a Happy Hour. I wish they would update their google info as the information indicates they offer a Happy Hour. I guess the rule these days is to call ahead and directly ask before we arrive. While dining out this evening at Villagio in Boca Raton we were first offered water when the Manager then came by and had the waters taken away and tried to up-sell us a bottle of flat or sparkling. We said no thank you please just bring back our water with lemon. We then proceeded to order of the menu standing outside A selection of 5 different appetizers and two martinis. The food was delicious and the service was nice. When the check was presented, we looked at it before paying and noticed there was a mistake. Everything was $1 more than posted on the menu. We thought it might be a Covid charge so we asked the waiter. He said no that they set out a two year old menu board and all the prices advertised were incorrect. He apologized profusely but he would not fix the bill. When we asked to speak to the manager the waiter brought the bill back having removed one of the appetizers. As we were leaving we said to The waiter it wasn't your fault but that was wrong. The Manager then said just get out before I slap you, it was only a dollar! He started yelling and threatening to call the cops. It was more than a dollar, on a $35 check they originally charged $45. The point is, their devious practice was improper and had we not checked the tab we would have just paid it. How many times do they do that a night. For how much money and then yo threaten a customer for calling them out on it is disgraceful. read more

South Florida isn't known for its Italian food, and most restaurants in Boca leave me ice cold. I'm used to mediocre, over-priced, quasi-Italian meals in this town. But Villagio really surprised me with how delicious the food was! My family and I visited this restaurant at the end of a very thunder-stormy day, and despite the wetness, decided to dine al fresco. We ordered bruschetta, which didn't look particularly fancy when it arrived at the table, but was surprisingly flavorful in all the right ways! I started with mozzarella caprese, and again, found myself really enjoying how well they'd seasoned the tomatoes! But my main course was the show-stopper: This was, hands down, THE BEST veal parmigiana I've EVER had!!! The meat was tender, the breading crisp, and the top was a splendid combination of cheesy and tomato-y! The serving size was gigantic, and while it was hard to stop nibbling at something so tantalizingly delicious, I still wound up taking about half of it home! The service was great, the wine recommendations excellent, and the relaxing, quiet ambiance of sitting outside on a relatively quiet evening was just what we wanted. We were all able to have good conversation without having to shout over music or freeze to death from air conditioning! While we were all really full from dinner, we still couldn't resist ordering a piece of the flourless chocolate cake to share amongst the six of us! It was just what my mouth wanted, a creamy, dark chocolate-y bite or three of dense cake to finish the meal...perfecto! I will definitely go back here next time I'm in town. This is one of the few restaurants in Mizner Park that is reasonably priced & serves good food. I went there for lunch & the manager offered us complimentary mimosas since it was our first time which was quite a treat! They also started us off with complimentary bruschetta type flat bread with tomatoes & onions drizzled with an olive oil, balsamic & basil mixture. Absolutely delish! My boyfriend & I ordered fish - snapper & swordfish - both of which were tasty & only cost $12.75. Overall I was very impressed. The servers were attentive & the management welcoming & cordial.
