From the moment I walked it. John Edma says.. please sit anywhere you like! We chose a nice table although the entire restaurant was great ambience. Then we met Arthur Almeida. He is so knowledgable about the menu and truly gives the essence of first class! Food was on point and gave us a great recommendation for a bottle. We recommend Ruffino Pinot Grigio. Tonight they has lobster Ravioli and the pizza was excellent. Linda who was assisting was excellent. She did not miss a beat and gave us exceptional attention and was graceful and friendly. Had a rushed lunch at Villagio even thought the place was not busy. They cleared my plate away while my party was still eating and wanted to take the bread basket away while the other guest were enjoying their meal. As the busboy walked away another buslady came and took the plate away when a guest took his last month full! The food was good but the service was abrupt! read more

I do not know why Villagio's is not rated higher. You have to know what to get sometimes. For someone who has been to a lot of Italian Restaurants around town, this is the best. The prices aren't crazy outrageous and food quality is great. FOOD: Exceptional! I recommend the zucchini calamari, the chicken or veal parmigiana -and the ice cream!!! It is covered in a a hardshell chocolate.. yum! ENVIRONMENT: In and outside is very nice. The service is great. PRICE: Fair for the quality SERVICE: I think we have had the same guy everytime, he gets your order and gets to work. Pretty good, but I feel like I need to rush. BABY/KID TEST: Get a table outside for kids to run around. We got one inside, in the back. There are no diaper changing tables!! Not the best place for kids. BATHROOMS: Clean and updated. In my entire life I never experienced worse service than I did Monday night at Villagio. The entire experience was awful. We waited to be seated. The table wasn't level. No big deal. That happens. After waiting a while we were reseated. New table. Level. Great. But now no server came around. We asked a server who eventually provided water. Then nothing. We eventually asked for the manager. That promoted them to deliver menus, etc. But things only got worse. Drink orders were routinely ignored. Whether club soda or wine or something else it didn't matter. They came infrequently and only after asking many, many times. We weren't the only ones having problems. You could tell other tables were also complaining. There was no effort made to improve things despite pleas to management and servers. The food was ok. Some of it was ok; some of it less than that. But it was the poor service that wrecked the night. Single worst experience any of us ever had at a restaurant. I strongly advise against going here. Go elsewhere and at least enjoy a night out. read more

This and its sister restaurant up at City Place in West Palm Beach serve up earnestly made Italian fare. It's not art, but it's not the over-cooked slop of your third-rate pizza joint either. The service was very good, and their location in Mizner is a great place to sit on the patio and take a meal. Moderate for lunch, spendy for dinner, and spendy if you buy wine. There are a couple of other good options for dining in Mizner Park, but if you're feeling like Italian this is certainly a restaurant that makes a respectable meal worthy of a little Chianti and some good conversation. read more

Been here several times and today will be my last. Cold, bland food to start. Careless service where you feel like you would be better off walking to the kitchen yourself and newly printed menus with larger font and inflated prices. So now it costs more to get bad service and mediocre food. The decor is nice enough but not worth sitting through overpriced pasta that is cold and overcooked when it arrives, brought by a server who would rather be anywhere but there. read more

This restaurant located in a top hotspot in Florida has proven the definition of inadequate service. I, as well as my family, observed our waiter fail to remember our coffee order, in which he asked for the order to be repeated again. Coffee was served without creamer. Secondly, the tiramisu never came out. I asked the waiter about the dessert, but he chuckled with the response, "Oh we forgot it!" I insisted to speak to a manager. The manager did not come to our table, so I had to go find the manager myself who did not have the proper mannerisms, social skills, and understanding to understand that multiple waiters just treated a table as if they were their peers in a junk house. This place has by far gone downhill. I would never recommend this place to anyone-it is almost like a big joke- they reel people in based on their beautiful fire statues and scenery but please don't waste your time! read more

Non buono.. or should I say "no bueno". I had asked my waiter if they had "zuppe di pesce" since I didn't see it on the menu. He responded with "You mean al fresco?" Uh no. I mean zuppe di pesce. That was strike one. Strike two was being maybe the 3rd table in the whole restaurant and it took forever to get some bread and drinks...oh, and set- ups. Strike three was having asked for my dish fra Diablo and it came plain, no spice what so ever. Im not sure how this restaurant has been open for as long as it has but someone needs to tear it down and open a true authentic Italian restaurant in Mizner. Enough with the crap. Also, the valet staff they have working there is very poor. I showed up at 7:30 and they were so hesitant to park my car because they close at 9, LOL. I cannot! I'm leaving 3 stars because my initial service was not the best. I received a personal phone call from the manager trying to make it right. The personal approach was very respected and also offered me incentives to come back with my family. I will be going back to talk to Nour to discuss about our experience. The food like I said was astounding, the service just needs a little touch up. It seems like I'm not the only person having an issue with service, however, I will go back to retry the experience Nour set expectations for. I really hope my experience is a great and friendly like he promised. The fact he did reach out means there is a level of care you receive. The food was great, But what made my entire experience was the bartender Christina. She was beautiful, kind, entertaining and knew the menu inside and out. If it's on special lobster ravioli was awesome, the shrimp are fresh and not frozen. The bread and tomatoes are amazing app. Great feeling like your in Rome. Great wine selection and great staff. Outside bar available on weekends and they have live bands. read more

Went for Valentine's Day, restaurant was super busy, we had outside seats and it started to rain but our server GERAN went above and beyond to make our visit worthwhile. OK -- here we go. Get ready. I am about to open a can of whup ass on all of the asshats who gave this place a bad review. Not just because I've eaten here several times and had a good meal each time, but because you morons have no fucking clue what you're talking about when you make comments like "it's a tourist trap", or "people just come here for the scene". Almost every cool S. FL place has a "scene" on a Friday or Saturday night. After all, its S. Florida -- the land of big money, beautiful and fit women (and men) wearing a minimal amount of clothing, who in general strut their stuff on a typical hot weekend evening. And how to I know this is not a tourist trap? Well, that would be because I lived down here for a few years, and I used to go here with other locals, and meet other locals here as well. And the locals know the restaurants in Boca, W Palm, Delray Beach and the other beach towns in the area... and they have their choice as to where to go on a Saturday night.. and dontcha know, a bunch of them go to Villagio -- and even come back. Certainly there are tourists here -- like there are at every other S FL restaurant during the winter tourist season, but this joint is no different than 20 other places I've been.... It's S. Florida. It's hot, it's cool, and after you've gotten a bit of a workout, caught some rays at the beach, and you're feeling good, there is nothing better than getting dressed up, putting on that white or cream colored shirt to show off your tan, and heading out to a pretty damn good restaurant like Villagio to enjoy a pleasant evening of food and drink with some friends... ohh S. I am baffled how people accept mediocrity these days. You would think Villagio would be a great place. It looks the part. It's in sexy Minzer Park and by default the only Italian restaurant there. It's right in the heart of the busiest section in Minzer with all the fake woman who have more plastic in them than Dupont. All the Bosley Medical Hair Restoration patients and their leased Bentleys. It has everything that would give you the impression this is a treat. What it is is a tourist trap. It's a scene for people to force feed themselves pedestrian pasta with a smile. The sauces are bland. They offer up previously frozen and tasteless calamari, old lettuce in the salad and those are just the highlights. The service on most nights is questionable too. There is nothing great on this menu and having been there a few times I've come to realize the only reason people do go here is because of its scene. There is nothing authentic about Villagios and get this, they don't even offer up cannolis at this Italian restaurant. I was told by the waiter to order their apple pie instead. Apple pie? In an Italian restaurant? GTFOH. Nicky Santoro would have put that waiters head in a vice grip with that ridiculous and unacceptable answer. But later I realized it all made sense. This place isn't an Italian restaurant it's a restaurant attempting to be an Italian restaurant with tasteless pricey food and a good atmosphere, You want to believe you're eating real Italian food among Boca's elite?
