I had the "1/2 sandwich and soup" meal. It's really to have this kind of meal on the menu because I always feel the portion in other safe too large for me. Been getting my sandwich fix at Vince's for work lunch for years. Extremely consistent quality, variety, and lightning fast service. Came in to do some work between meetings and get a cup of coffee. Service was poor the minute I told them I just wanted a coffee. Also the 6 oz (standard coffee mug) was $2.35!!! That outrageous!!! I doubt I'll be back. Oh, and the WiFi doesn't work so I ended up having to use my phone (not ideal) to work. Being that they are centered in a business park you would think they were more business friendly. I usually order the California Turkey - they don't put cheese on it, which is a bummer (who gets a sandwich without cheese?!?!), and they put a HUGE amount of avocado and sprouts. Sprouts, if they have it...Beware, if you're looking for sprouts on your sandwich, about half the time they "run out" of it...I wish they'd keep better stock of their supplies, especially when it is ordered by almost everyone in line.. The reason for the 3 stars was because of the minimum charge to use a credit card. I ordered a tuna sandwich on wheat bread (slices) and was thoroughly disappointed. The tuna salad is plain tuna and mayo, no celery, onions or anything else and very bland. it came with a small amount of shredded lettuce and a thin slice of tomato, plus four, flavorless, small pepperoncini and a small pickle wedge, which was more like a sliver. The sandwich was also a small. The price: $7.95, and because they have a $10 minimum if you want to pay by credit/debit card, I added a 2oz. bag of "Dirty Original Recipe Potato Chips, Sea Salted" for $1.95 and they too were bland. I decided to try Vince's Cafe after seeing all the glowing reviews but my experience left me scratching my head and feeling like I wasted my money. I guess I should have tried an item that was mentioned in a review. My advice: stay away from the tuna sandwich. I definitely don't plan on coming back any time soon. I like the honey walnut prawn w/ fried rice lunch special or the fish & chips. Some of the staff from my company order lunch here often and its pretty good but can vary sometimes so pay attention to what your ordering. If it doesnt really sound good then it probably wont be. Decent sandwich and great salads. The Crab Salad Sandwich (available on different breads) has good--but not great--crab salad. The crab salad is similar consistency to cole slaw, and lacks large chunks of crab. It's only $6.95, so it's a convenient choice for the industrial park that it serves. The salads are a much better value $8.95, but the plate is filled with lettuce, spinach, and meat. The service is fast, friendly, and efficient. Service speed and friendliness brought this up to a 3rd star, but food is certainly lacking. Ordered an old stand by "French Dip" sandwich. Sadly to say the roast beef was unseasoned AND re-heated in a microwave for so long, it was as dry and tough as a leather shoe! I've had beef jerky that was more tender. The Au-jus was more like hot brown water as it too had zero taste and absolutely no seasoning what so ever! Sorry folks, but is sure isn't worth anything near $7.95. A bit of advice from someone in the restaurant industry for over 50 years; 1. Have seasoned roast beef or not at all. 2. If you want to heat up the roast beef in the microwave for this specific sandwich, you wrap it in a damp towel and don't heat it for longer than 45 to 60 seconds, unless you are planning to just serve dry leather to your customers. 3. Don't be cheap on the quality of the au-jus! If you aren't going to make it properly in house, and want to use a mix, get a quality mix and plan on seasoning it prior to giving it to your customers. Hot brown water is not acceptable. Like I mentioned at the beginning, the staff and speed of service was wonderful and in this yelp'ers opinion, get the food up to par and you can have a very successful business. My tuna salad sandwich was so boring that my stomach fell asleep eating it. I looked at the seven other sandwiches my co-workers were eating, and my eyes started to yawn. The bread selection felt like someone made a run to the local grocery store and picked up a variety of wonder bread variations and the occasional french roll. If I am going to go to a sandwich place, I expect it to excel in it. I could have gone home and made the same boring sandwich. The service was quick, the staff was polite. The presentation was boring. I heard their soups are great, and my co-worker raves about their fries. However, if 85% of your menu is sandwiches, you better excel in it. This place is pretty decent for a cafe in an industrial area. I've had a couple sandwiches there, one being the California Turkey - pretty good, especially since it came on dutch crunch bread! The bread was not super hard, but still had enough crunch to maintain that dutch crunch texture and flavor. That was pretty much the most exciting thing about the sandwich to be honest. Don't get me wrong... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the most amazing sandwich I've ever had either. The chips are something you probably don't wanna pull your wallet out for. This place is pretty good. They have their sandwiches, which are good. But I'm a bigger fan of their specials! The specials changes up everyday, problem is if there's something delicious... You'll have to go super early or else they'll sell out fast. This has happened to me a couple times, so now I just call early to have them save me an order. Every now and then I check out Vince's Cafe's specials online and stop by. Before when I used to work close to Vince's I would go more often, like once a week. My favorite things here are the specials, and most of the time I order the specials. Any sort of red meat and mash potatoes tastes great, and makes it even better for me because of the prices! I also like their salads, sandwiches (need to try the crab one but it was sold out!), soups, and chow funs. I don't understand why this place doesn't have more stars. I eat at this place at least once a week, sometimes twice. There sandwiches are very dependable, but their specials are amazing! As you walk into line there is a board with hand written specials, if anything on the board sounds like something you would like, totally go for it! I've never been disappointed, even ordering things I don't traditionally care for too much. Everything from pork loin with mashed potatoes (a soul warming winter treat) to fried rice & prawns, to a salmon burger were all delicious. They can be a little crowded during peak hours and one time the line was so bad my coworker and I turned around right after we walked in the door... but it's kind of hard to fault a place for being too popular! Honestly this place isn't bad. So why the 3-stars? Only if there were a Lee's sandwich shop next door, it would've put Vince's to shame, and perhaps out of business. The location and ambiance are very nice, perfect for working classmen (women) to grab a quick bite. The service was prompt and recommendable. Then it comes the food. I ordered Reuben's sandwich and my co-worker worked the Killer. We split our sandwiches in halves so we could share and critique each other's order. We all agree that Reuben, which is corned beef accompanied by sauerkraut, topped with In-N-Out dressing wrapped in Dark Rye bread, was a better sandwich. In comparison the Killer (Turkey, Ham and Lettuce) is much more bland. So the question to ask yourself is, is it worth it to spend $6 for a sandwich that you can make it yourself? read more

I go to Vince's almost every morning. The food and beverages taste good. They have chips, bagels, cookies, all types of sandwiches (the grilled chicken is my favorite. It's not served until 11 though.) salads, etc. As for drinks they have: Snapple, Coke, Pepsi, Arizona, Sobe, Welch, Ocean Spray, Dole, and Berkeley products. They carry root beer and flavored and non flavored Crystal Geyser sparkling water. They have coffee made ready (I like their House coffee a lot.) They have daily specials. They have three different kinds of soups each day (Clam Chowder is my favorite) but they also include vegetable soup for those who can't eat any another kind of soup. They're very diligent but manage to take time for you with a genuine smile. My favorite thing about this place is how kind they are. Especially the owner's son. He's very cool and chill. I usually come around breakfast time but they're open until 3:30. This place is packed during lunch time but the wait isn't long because of how fast they operate. All in all, I like it enough to come here almost every day. So hopefully you'll come by one day and enjoy yourself. And I wasn't coerced or even asked to write a review. I work on Landing Parkway, This is near Warren and Fremont (West of 880). There is really nothing around here unless you go up to Automall or the few places on Cushing behind McDonnalds. The biggest problem is the drive and traffic to going to those places for lunch. I have been here 2 years and did not know about Vince's Cafe. When I discovered this place It is 2 minutes to drive from my work to here! They sandwich bar is very similar to a ToGo's, where you order and they make it for you, then slide down the counter to the register. The Sandwiches are well made, the staff is freindly and overall it is an A+ place to eat. I would even cross 880 to come here! They do sandwitches AND Burgers. My company caters lunches and now we will start using them. The mere fact they are close is not a factor in this. The Service is! read more

Found this cafe next to my job, Tesla . Service is Great . The menu is very easy to understand. I ordered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and an english muffin (no ham or bacon because I dont eat red meat ) so they added extra eggs in substitution. When the food came out the food looked clean and organized . It tasted really good the only little opportunity I saw was just a little less salt on the potatoes and its perfect .
