Best Pizza in Palatine, I don't know of any other suburb with as many by-slice/lunch special pizza places. $4 for pep, chz, sausage; $5 special(ham, pep, sausage, bacon, two or three kinds of peppers...make sure to not rub your eyes/face while eating this). This is the kind of pizza I like to think of when it comes to Chicago, deep dish has it's occasion but this is more if an everyday, convenience kind of spot. I've been on this side of town for 13 years and we think this is hands down the best thin crust pizza. The down side is it's pricier then most. For kids I'll get them dominos or papa johns which is basically half the price or less but kids don't discern quality yet. My favorite is the chopped salad. read more

We discovered Vini's when we moved to the area 8 years ago. It is hands down the best pizza in the area - we especially love the fresh ingredients used (tho we miss the fresh cilantro that used to be available). I try to copy the pizza at home, but it's clearly their sauce and crust that make it so good. It is the most requested take out in our household. The only danger is it's extremely hard to stop eating! Just moved to Palatine- I do love pizza by the slice, and Vini's does pizza! I've ordered pizza for takeout 2-3 times in the last month, which gives you an idea of the quality :). It's always hot and top quality- my girlfriend loves it, and she is a connoisseur! One item to note- slices are $4, meat, veggie, or just cheese. Pizza is pretty decent, however customer service/manager ruined this place for me. Our company placed an online order for lunch. I had the receipt printed and saved, however when the pizza got here it was missing all the toppings. It was only cheese. I called Vini's to let them know there was a mistake and that I had the receipt showing what we ordered, but the manager insisted that we were wrong. Place has the best pizza in the area but some of the staff is very rude and seem like they don't care for their job. I went in on a Sunday morning to get a slice before the bears game was told sliced would be ready in 15 min it was 11:05 am at the time and they just opened which is understandable so I wasted some time driving around to wait came back at 11:30 and was told by the register girl it would be 15 minutes for a slice. I informed her I was told 15 minutes 15 minutes ago and her response was in a rude tone of voice well you weren't told that by me if you open at 11 why wouldn't you have pizza ready then instead of waiting until 11:45 or 12 to have slices ready? Moved to Palatine from the city a few years ago and have been on the hunt for a solid pizza...we particularly enjoy buffalo chicken but no place has lived up to [Bije's buffalo chicken pizza].... Have tried multiple pizza places and have always passed up on Vini's due to price... after failing to find a decent option we finally gave in... just fyi Vini's large buffalo chicken =$28.15... Bije's=20.25 The pizza itself is phenomenal and if it wasn't for the price would probably eat there every other day. Fried mushrooms also fantastic... Vini's has been around since I can remember, I used to order delivery all the time back when I was in high school, but nowadays I prefer other places. I had some friends over for the Bears game recently & we ordered a large thin crust with half pepperoni & cheese sticks for delivery, I had a $2 off coupon & somehow the total was still $38. I'm sure they left out the coupon but even $36 is really steep for what we ordered. The pizza would have to be something phenomenal to charge that much, but it wasn't, it was alright when it arrived but got soggy after a short time. I started going there because they have a big sign in the window for a Slice of pizza and a Pop all for $4. WOW BFS and BFP!!!! But don't stop with the slice you will have to try this thing they call a BUBBA. Great beef on garlic bread, melted mozzarella cheese, and hot peps. This is the best pizza I have ever had. I give this place about 32 Stars. I also was at my friends place in DePaul and found out they have a new Vini's open on Lincoln Ave. It's the same great food when you're drunk. read more

A giant slice plus a liter of soda is $4 tax included. You can't beat that. I've only tried a few other things from the menu, never had any complaints, and the service is great. Pick up or delivery only , but there's usually a few chairs out front for the kids to sit and scarf before peddling off. My friend and I ordered a pizza and two sides of bread and turned out to be the worst pizza experience of my life! The first pizza arrived with wrong toppings and all the cheese and toppings had slid to one side. It looked like they were playing frizbee with it. The garlic bread was burnt to a crisp also. We complained and they sent another pizza. Pizza arrived with a gallon of grease on top... it was a soupy droopy slobbery disgusting mess.
