Ordered two large pizzas and both were extremely burnt. It's so disappointing, that someone would put very clearly burnt pizzas into the boxes and hand that off to a customer. I don't understand how they can sell burnt food. Why wouldn't they have remade them after taking them out of the oven and seeing how black they were. Unfortunately, I didn't check the pizzas there, I noticed after I took them home. The parking is also very inconvenient. Seriously, skip this place. My order last night, directly off the Vinny's page, was to be delivered 50 minutes after ordering. I got my order one hour and 45 minutes later. I called the store no less than 15 times to find out where my delivery was, and the phone was either busy or just kept ringing, no voicemail picked up. I ended up starting to grill another dinner when the delivery guy showed up. He apologized profusely, said he had already stopped by but had to go back to get part of the order he left behind. Dude, you have my phone number, call me to tell me you'll be late! I understand Friday nights get busy but this was poor business operations. If they can't handle the workload, stop accepting online orders. Pretty disappointed. read more

If you like unreliable and cold then this is your place. This review is based on recent poor service and the complete lack of follow through by staff and management. The pizza is pricey but fine for what you get in taste and consistency. If you get it in a reasonable time frame. We are regulars of Vinny's and often order weekly. It's somewhat tasty without being big chain pizza. About a week ago we ordered pizza for the family around 7 and were quoted a 40 minute delivery time. Perfect. That's pretty standard for them. At the 1 hour mark and already super late for dinner, I called to follow up as they still had not arrived. I was told then the driver was leaving, so sorry, on the way. Another 20-30 mins pass and still no pizza. It has now been an hour and a half since ordering, so I place another call. Again, so sorry, don't know what has happened but also was kindly given a guarantee for my next pizza on the house. I did think it was odd that they didn't comp THIS pizza but grateful for the apparent understanding of my frustration and the attempt to make it right. We order from them often enough that this worked for me. The pizza shows up another 15 mins later, cold as ice. We waited over an hour and half for cold dinner. Utterly annoyed but fine next one is on them. I called tonight to order dinner and redeem my complimentary pizza and was told "Sorry, my manager said no. They don't show record of that." I had all of the facts, of who I spoke with, of their system upgrade that evening that caused everything to go wonky, but the manager has still refused to honor. In the end the staff offered a bunch of lip service with zero follow through. Such a bummer to have to spend our money elsewhere when we would rather spend it at a local shop. The "manager" also wouldn't get on the phone to allow me to explain the exact way this all went down the other night but instead continued to relay his/her refusal through the call taker. They've delivered late before but taking over an hour and half, for taking another 30 mins after the time you say "driver is walking out the door with your pie" to drive down 5 blocks. After all of that to show up with ice cold pizza is embarrassing and unacceptable. Things happen, I get it, it's just pizza, but when things do go sideways, you call your customer to inform them and apologize. When they continue to go wrong, you make it right. They DO NONE OF THIS. $26 for crap we had to cook in our own oven after it finally arrived. read more

Vinny's makes great calzones and salads. I order fairly regularly and always appreciate the food. HOWEVER, they still need to work on the attitude and customer service of SOME of their male employees (I've talked about this before and even tried contacting the manager about it - never called me back). I do not understand why it is so difficult to have even a modicum of customer service when the customer is not being difficult and is coming from a place of respect and kindness. Tonight, for example. I ordered a salad at 7:45pm. I'd had a twelve hour day, was exhausted, and ordered it before I left for home. My phone confirmation indicated the salad would be ready at 8:15pm. I showed-up at 8:15pm and the two very nice and kind women working the counter told me it was not ready. Perhaps someone reading this might understand what it's like when you've had one of those long days where you are so tired that the slightest thing makes you want to cry and all you want to do is get home. When they told me the salad was not ready - hadn't even been started - I knew the best thing for me was not to wait but get myself home. I very kindly said "I am really sorry and don't mean to be a pain, but can I please cancel the order? I just worked twelve hours, feel like I am going to cry, and just want to get home." I figured, since they hadn't even started to make the salad, it wouldn't be a problem. They were both very understanding but could not actually do the return and that is when the guy came out of the kitchen to take care of it. I repeated to him that I was very sorry, not trying to be a pain - again mentioning my twelve hour day - I wanted him to also know that my request had nothing to do with them but simply about how I felt. Instead of being kind. Instead of being understanding. Instead of simply taking care of the return, he felt the need to say "well, I've worked a fourteen hour day and I'm fine." His sarcasm was palpable. I was so shocked that I replied with "that's not a helpful thing to say," He then felt it was important to tell me that his system stated that the salad was supposed to be ready at 8:30pm. I have no idea why I was given a pick-up time of 8:15pm and frankly, that was irrelevant at this point. I saw no point in even engaging in that conversation. They hadn't started the order and I was not making an issue about it. I just wanted to leave. Why is it so hard for people, in the simplest of situations, to be kind? I simply don't understand. I had not complained. I made no issue. I clearly explained my reason for cancelling the order. I engaged in a kind, straightforward and respectful manner to every employee. But he chose to respond with sarcasm and disrespect. I don't care where you work or what you sell...you can still treat others with respect and kindness. Especially when they've given it to you. Vinny's could really use someone who understands this and perhaps takes a few minutes to explain it to this guy. read more
