I've had better. Usually the taro milk tea is my go to and since I have taro at every single bubble tea joint I go to, I can compare apples to apples. The cup sizes are pretty standard and the prices range from 4 to 5 bucks. Dumplings are way expensive (8 for $6) and the Ramen is pretty filled with msg so it's super salty ($7.50). The tapioca is good though, very chewy! read more

I was really excited to see this vivi location because i had no idea there was other locations. I was just on yelp looking for other bubble tea stores besides the ones I usually go to and this seemed great to try. I ordered peach tea that had jelly and balls. I was sadly disappointed because it just wasnt that good. It had a bitter taste and the jelly was just too much and big pieces. I would glady try this again but maybe at the main location. Besises that the workers were friendly, they also serve food but the store itself is just on the smaller side. read more

this shop is a Local gem for someone who likes cold Japanese matcha tea! I love how it wasn't overly sweet. Even after the ice has melted, the drink was still great! I have yet to find a place that makes it so perfect! Their mango slush is good too. However, the employees could improve on their friendliness with the customers. read more

Vivi Bubble Tea is one of many throughout New York City. I was surprised by the milk tea here. I'm from New Orleans where bubble tea houses aren't up to par with those of New York or San Francisco. I went with my friend Aaron M. and I also have the problem of not enjoying a drink that is overpoweringly sweet. I knew I wanted to try bubble tea in New York City so I sought out Vivi Bubble Tea. I ordered the taro milk tea and I was pleasantly surprised by the simple taste of the drink with Taro being the core flavor. Though not as good as what I've had in California, this place was the best I tried in New York (feel free to message me if you find better!) The bubble tea here is simply basic. Enough to satisfy a craving but not worth dropping close to $5 for a large size. I had the jasmine honey and it was not a crazy sugary drink. My biggest issue is with the actual bubbles which were flavorless and mushy. No bueno. I definitely will not come back. read more

I tried Bubble Tea years ago and I didn't like it. So after walking past this place today I thought I would give it another try. I ordered the Passion Fruit QQ and also saw that they served Ramen. So I also ordered the Eel Ramen with Tonkotsu soup base. I will say this place changed my feelings on Bubble Tea. I really liked it. It wasn't too sweet, the bubbles weren't overwhelming. It was just right. The Ramen...compared to traditional Noodle Houses and other Ramen specialty restaurants I would say this is the "fast food" version. I liked it, but I have had better. Let's just say it got the job done. Especially because it was only $7.50. I would definitely order it again though. I'll be back! read more

I stopped by the Chelsea location on a Sunday afternoon. The service was great, the prices were fair and the best part was the little seating area available to enjoy your bubble tea. I can't speak for the food, but it seemed pretty inexpensive, which is either really a great deal, or a "Get-What-You-Pay-For" situation. read more

I had the chocolate milk tea, and actually really liked it! I didn't expect to, but I wanted to try something I don't usually have, and ultimately it was a great choice to try it. How can anyone drink this stuff? There were 3 of us all hated the bubbles in our tea. Im only giving two stars because they were very quick serviced managing a long line. But they should ask if its your first time there, we had a hard time figuring out what to order. It was confusing. Cute decor but product was not good. This is the second time having Vivi's bbt and it's not too impressive. We got the standard - the black milk tea with tapioca. Tapioca were absolutely lovely - good flavor with a nice chew without being hard or anything of the sort. Ranks among my favorite tapioca in this city for sure. But the milk tea itself was EXTREMELY bland and watery, even though there weren't much ice in the drink in the first place. Will probably head elsewhere next time. read more

So much great food here especially the soups. The bubble tea is so good and you can only get it here. One of my favorites is the hot Matcha green tea with no bubbles, yes this is an option. . I have tried Vivi bubble tea all shops in Manhattan. This one is the most stable. Their pearls are always soft without inside uncooked.

The tea itself isn't terrible, but the pearls are what put me off. It's fine at first, but unless you drink this in under 20 min the pearls get tough. read more

Milk Bubble tea is great here, also very close to the subway station W23 and Seventh Ave so it is super convenient. I have not yet try other bubble tea but I think the original is the best with less sugar. read more

The bubbles/boba was good but the taro wasn't great at all, it was too milky for me. I've had taro bubble tea many times at different places and this was probably my least favorite. Got to stop by the 23rd St location today with my friend. I ordered the roast milk tea with herb jelly and tapioca, and he got the chocolate bubble tea. Tastes just as good as the Chinatown location, in my opinion. The roast tea was really good and the tapioca tastes the same as its Chinatown counterpart. Vivi's definitely offers a variety of flavors, even though I always order the same things most of the time. I think my favorite part of this location though, is the seating area. This store isn't really small and my friend I got to sit down and enjoy our bubble tea for a few minutes. I love this place. It's super cute. The staff is very friendly and I always order the peach ice jelly tea with gelatin balls. The tempura rolls are yummy and fresh. I especially like that they are extremely affordable. Drink and entree adds up to about $10. I'm not a big fan of the dumplings but they only offer steamed and I prefer fried. I've been to many bubble tea spots before and usually get the blended teas in the summertime. When I came here I ordered a passion tea slush with bobba and it was much thicker than any of the other teas I've had. After the tea had melted a bit it was much more enjoyable but the first sip was slimy almost. I did appreciate that they added more bubbles than I usually get. The size of the store isn't large so it's ideal for grab and go and less of a sit down. It was packed but the line moved really fast. Good for when you're in a rush. read more
