We have never encountered particularly rude cashiers. It seems they've recently made improvements to this spot! The interior is now nice and bright. My only 2 complaints would be there should be more soy sauce on the mild flavor chicken and there were way too many drumettes in our wings order (only 6 wings in 20 pieces, which is a bummer). If you don't want to load up just on fried chicken, I highly recommend their kimchi fried rice which goes perfectly well with the fried chicken. On the other hand, lets talk about the chicken. Amazingly great tasting chicken. Love that its made fresh and its pipeing hot and steaming when you bite into it. When we got there, there was a small line but we got to the front very quick. We placed our order (half original-medium spice-wings, and half yangnyam chicken-spicy-boneless, and 2 servings of rice). I noticed this Vons opened up across the street from Costco on Hostetter next to Paris Baguette. Put in my order through their website and prepaid online. Vons is a franchise korean chicken restaurant and each franchise is different. Core menu is consistent but cooking methods, types of seasoning, quality of chicken varies by location. The Sunnyvale location is the best indicator of how its suppose to taste. Now I'm not into saucy fried chicken. It's a fine line and can easily be crossed if they overdo it. That's why I only eat sauced fried chicken at Bonchon Sunnyvale location. They know how to do it right. So to avoid making a costly mistake here, I ordered the plain crispy fried chicken with sauce on the side. We also ordered the boneless ssam chicken which included vegetables to wrap them up in and eaten with the accompanying dips. Verdict? Pretty darn good. The chicken was crunchy without the batter being too thick. The ssam chicken came with plenty of vegetables to make your own little Korean tacos. Total came to around $60 and easily fed a family of 5. Overall, I'd be back next time I'm craving fried chicken. read more

They have heat lamps at the counter for the food, so if you're running a little late or getting delivery, food should still be hot.
